Like a 5 star hotel! What a great week we spent in your lovely home in France. You have done it so well and we really felt we were staying in a family home not simply a gîte. Your attention to detail shows. The garden is beautiful and all the 'toys' were very much appreciated with a week long tennis and croquet tournament! And of course the piece de resistance was the swimming area which was like a 5 star hotel.
Je voulais simplement vous remercier de nous avoir permis de séjourner dans votre merveilleuse demeure et ses jardins la semaine dernière. Aideen et moi avons passé de superbes vacances, en grande partie grâce au logement que vous proposez.
Nous y avons passé une semaine avec deux familles (9 personnes âgées de 6 à 70 ans) au Mas Repenti et nous avons passé un moment des plus merveilleux. Il est niché dans de magnifiques vignobles avec vue sur les collines au loin. La maison elle-même a été restaurée avec amour et chaque centimètre est parfaitement présenté. Superbes meubles, décorations et tissus d'ameublement. Elle est charmante et pourtant totalement confortable – la chambre principale vaut la meilleure suite de n’importe quel hôtel ! Les jardins sont magnifiques. Le terrain de pétanque et la balançoire ont été un grand succès auprès des enfants. La piscine est parfaite avec de nombreuses chaises longues pour tout le monde et un superbe pool house pour se mettre à l'ombre et prendre un verre. Nous avons cuisiné presque tous les soirs et la cuisine est extrêmement bien équipée. S'y trouvent toutes les casseroles, poêles et plats de service que vous pourriez demander, ainsi que des assiettes et des verres pour un régiment ! La terrasse était magnifique et l'immense table très accommodante pour nos fêtes. Nous n'avons pas rencontré beaucoup d'intrusions d'insectes, à part quelques moustiques qui ont voulu se frotter à notre Jungle Formula ! Nous avons adoré les vignobles locaux – plusieurs à moins de 5 minutes en voiture. Notre préféré était le rosé du Château Beaumel. Je recommande vivement cette maison pour une expérience extrêmement relaxante et authentiquement française !
After 2.5 years in the making, everything conspired against us. Well worth the wait! The Loft is exactly as expected and the welcome even better! We loved the ambiance, the garden and the area after the last months of lockdown etc - it has been wonderful. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity - the mobility aid was indispensable and the evening spent getting to know you both was great. Can we also thank you for your incredibly comprehensive welcome pack. We enjoy cooking and we’re very grateful for the extras. Thank you Karen, for delivery on day one - BREAKFAST WAS BRILLIANT! We have really enjoyed the garden - a lot of hard work, we know, but much appreciated. We do hope we keep in touch as we will miss Russell’s lengthy epistles - always a good read! He should write a book; maybe the history of your home with the trials and tribulations of renovating thrown in (‘A Year - or Two - in Minervois’, perhaps?). If you are ever back in the region, you know where we are!
Wow! - we admire how very beautiful this is - we have renovated our own home and can appreciate the scale of this project! Thank you for such a wonderful stay - this is such a peaceful and thoughtfully decorated home. We would love to come back next year! Lovely sunshine too!
We have had a wonderful relaxed and fun week here at Le Manoir de Duras. It has felt like a home from home. All the practical equipment to making things smooth and lots of games and books to enjoy as the days go by. Thank you to the owners for a lovely family week. A real holiday.

I am writing to say what a wonderful time we had at Les Rocans during the week of 3th-10th August. It suited all our needs and we were amazed by the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
Nous avons passé un séjour formidable. La Villa Lana était tout simplement parfaite, tant par son emplacement que par ses équipements.
I can only agree wholeheartedly with what Sue and Mike have written. You have a lovely home and I have really enjoyed my stay here. The weather could have been better but you more than made up for it with your company. Thank you so much and good luck for the future. Hopefully I will be back to listen to more of Russell's stories!
A well equipped and maintained property in a beautifully quiet, relaxing location. Thank you for your warm welcome and the various traets. We enjoyed exploring the local area and learning about its significant history.
This was our fourth stay in a villa in Languedoc, Occitanie… we all agreed that this was the best villa and location.
Nous avons adoré Cottage du Jardin dès la première photo que nous avons vue en ligne. Nous avons reçu un accueil des plus chaleureux de la part de Caterina et Stephen. Le cottage a dépassé toutes nos attentes. Pour ceux qui recherchent le calme et la tranquillité absolue, c'est l'endroit idéal. De plus, la région offre une multitude de sites magnifiques à visiter, accessibles en voiture. Vous avez également le luxe de disposer de votre propre piscine, entourée d'un magnifique jardin parfumé. Caterina et Stephen se mettent en quatre pour vous accueillir et connaissent parfaitement la région, sans être envahissants. Des hôtes parfaits. J'espère que ce petit cottage continuera à enchanter ceux qui auront la chance de le découvrir.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans le magnifique Colombat Cottage. Il avons profité du calme, de la nature et de beauté des lieux. Carelle et Stephen sont des hôtes attentionnés. Nous recommandons vivement.
Très belle maison, propre, récemment rénovée et joliment design tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. La vue est incroyable, Mougins est un joli village à quelques pas de la villa où nous avons trouvé d'excellents restaurants recommandés par Jane. Fortement recommandée pour une famille ou un groupe d'amis. Merci!

Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.
We have had a fantastic time, our 2nd holiday here, weather was brilliant-sunshine every day, we all loved the pool, a great way to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary!
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!
What a fantastic stay in a fantastic house, all the amenities you could wish for and more. We’ve enjoyed the pool, table tennis tournaments, playing pool and lounging under the fig trees. The market in Nyons on a Thursday was amazing, we visited St Paul trois châteaux, Seguret and many other places. The house exceeded our expectations and the Drome, Provence is beautiful , we will be back and thank you for creating such a haven for everyone to experience and enjoy.
Lovely authentic French house set in beautiful grounds and perfectly located to access local amenities. Very well equipped, making it a home from home.
We are a family of two adults and three teens and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Somail! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of space inside and out. The pool area is very sheltered and private - having the pool to cool us down on the hottest of days was certainly appreciated! We enjoyed being so close to the canal and seeing the boats sailing past, it’s a beautiful location. There is a good selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the house, yet the house was very peaceful and we were never disturbed by any noise from the restaurant next door. There were plenty of activities within an easy driving distance to keep us all amused for the duration of our stay including lakes, beaches and shopping. We hope we can return again, thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed at Maison Sainte-Croix in June last year and I have to say, we had a fantastic holiday. The spacious house is very comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone. We particularly liked the choice of terraces to enjoy the magnificent views at different times of the day. We had many enjoyable afternoons tasting wine in the various local villages and were glad that we drove rather than flew so that we could take home some of our favourites! We found some very good restaurants in Vaison and the street market is well worth a visit. Many thanks!
Des vacances géniales dans cette jolie maison. Nous avons adoré la piscine. La salle de jeux améliorée était incroyable par rapport à notre dernier séjour il y a 7 ans. Trois générations de 71 à 11 ans et nous l'avons tous adorée, nous nous sommes bien amusés toute la semaine.
Cette propriété est une oasis de calme, magnifiquement rénovée et aménagée sans perdre le charme et le caractère de la distillerie d'origine. L'équipement, les installations, la décoration et les tissus d'ameublement sont de la plus haute qualité. Les hôtes, qui s'apparentent à un service de conciergerie, sont généreux et mettent tout en œuvre pour vous assurer un séjour merveilleux. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
Ces vacances en famille ont été exceptionnelles dans votre magnifique maison, où vous avez été aux petits soins : un accueil chaleureux, des fromages, des vins et plusieurs livraisons de viennoiseries et de melons durant la semaine. La générosité de ce repas du lundi a été un vrai plaisir : un vrai régal inattendu. La villa est vraiment spectaculaire, avec de très bons équipements, une piscine où nous avons passé de nombreux moments agréables, un barbecue et de nombreux coins salon. Les chambres sont toutes charmantes. Nous avons adoré l’emplacement et avons fait de nombreuses balades à vélo dans les villages environnants, notamment à Capestang pour le marché ; c’était un plaisir de rencontrer les habitants, et certains d’entre nous ont même fait du vélo jusqu’à Béziers. Un moment fort de ma visite a été la promenade jusqu'aux Gorges d'Héric pour une petite promenade et une baignade dans l'une des piscines naturelles, puis un verre dans la charmante ville de Roquebrun. Que de rires, de bonheur et de précieux souvenirs ! J'adorerais y retourner pour mes 70 ans, dans 5 ans ! Un grand merci pour ce séjour incroyable, grandement facilité par le soleil quotidien.
