Une merveilleuse réunion de famille dans le luxe discret de votre magnifique château - Merci.
What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. My wife and I have been visiting France for over 20 years and The Loft is the best property we have stayed at. The photographs on the website do not do it justice. Russell and Karen have fitted out The Loft with wonderful taste and all of the bathrooms are top quality including the selection of toiletries left for their guests to use. Their attention to detail is second to none. We received an extensive welcome pack when we arrived at the house and Karen even delivered fresh pastries for breakfast on the Sunday morning from the local Boulangerie. Outside the house there is a beautiful pool and garden but the jewel in the crown is the large sheltered "porch area". This is a half open and half covered space off the front of The Loft where you can choose sun or shade during the day. The BBQ is there along with a big dining table and also sofas for relaxing. It’s a fab place to eat and drink during the day or on an evening with a lovely view of the extensive gardens. Rieux Minervois is a nice little town situated in the middle of the Minervois wine region It has a good Italian restaurant within 2 minutes walk from the house, which Karen kindly booked it for us for the night we arrived. The food was very good. The town is also well placed to visit Carcassonne, Narbonne and several of the coastal towns; we particularly enjoyed Gruissan. It is also surrounded by many other small villages with excellent restaurants if you want enjoy a lazy lunch during your holiday. Karen will even book them for you if you ask. Overall we spent a lovely week in The Languedoc. Thank you Russell and Karen for your hospitality and for going to such lengths to make our holiday so memorable.
Excellent séjour dans le logement de Kim. La vue est splendide de la terrasse ainsi que de la piscine. Encore un grand merci pour la réservation des places pour la soirée à Laparade.
Nous avons vraiment apprécié nos vacances à la Maison Cabanon. C'était très calme mais assez proche de la ville, parfait pour des vacances en famille. Nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'un temps magnifique et les enfants ont vraiment apprécié la piscine et le fait d'être ensemble dans la chambre avec les lits superposés. Les installations de la maison sont d'un niveau bien supérieur à celles des villas habituelles. Un véritable second chez-soi.
We took the risk and booked La Maison Tournesol for an entire month! We have not been disappointed - in fact we wish we could say longer. These are just some of the memories we will take home to Australia: The changing moods of the expansive sky in different weathers and different times of day The abundance of lavender, sunflowers, barley and wheat. The magnificent patchwork views across the fields to distant farms. The local walks through dew-drenched woods and chemins. The warmth and hospitality of our very congenial hosts. Our favourite market was Montage de Quercy on Saturday morning. We loved our visits to Laureate, Roquecor, Castelsagrat, Auvillar and Montauban. Oh yes - and St Nicolas de Grave! And Moissac of course. Nothing better than coming home after a day out and relaxing by the delicious pool with a cup of tea and a slice of Meryl's coffee and walnut cake. All the better if Poppy makes a visit too! Thank you Richard and Meryl for your attention to detail.
Nous partons après deux semaines incroyables au Malardier, une maison pleine de caractère et tellement spacieuse. Merci Gay et Richard. Nos amis américains ont exploré la région mais nous les Britanniques qui ne voient pas autant le soleil qu'eux étaient plus qu'heureux de se prélasser près de la piscine. Il y avait tout ce qu'on pouvait souhaiter dans la maison et les enfants étaient ravis des jouets dans le grenier ! C'est une belle partie de la France, les vues sont spectaculaires. Nous avons trouvé de bons restaurants et apprécié la culture locale. Au revoir.
An absolute gem of a house! We came here for a fortnight with a mixture of friends, family and even a cricket team (touring France). And we had the most delightful stay. It really feels like a luxurious home from home, with lovely comfortable furniture, beautiful spacious grounds, a first rate tennis court and pool and a beautiful 'bolet' (veranda) on which to sit and enjoy the local wine… Highly recommended!
Nous avons vraiment adoré notre séjour ici ! Nous avons profité des magnifiques couchers de soleil, nous allongeant au bord de la piscine et préparant les repas ensemble. Le chef Arnaud était merveilleux et nous le recommandons vivement. Nous avons visité Duras, Villeneuve-sur-Lot et Saint-Émilion, Sainte-Foy, Bordeaux et le Cap Ferret. Revenir à la villa ici à la fin de la journée nous a toujours donné l'impression d'être à la maison et nous espérons y revenir. C'est notre 10ème anniversaire et cette maison nous a offert de superbes vacances pour un voyage spécial ensemble. Merci d'avoir partagé votre maison.
Thank you so much for a relaxing week - it was just what we needed! The Loft is truly exceptional and Oscar has loved playing in the garden. Visits to Narbonne, Carcassonne and the Sigean Animal Reserve were great. The highlight for us was the Gouffe de Cabesprine caves - a must see!
Great house, pictures on the website don't do it justice. Fantastic feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, even though you are not. Great supermarket around the corner.
a wonderful treat to spend summer half term in the incomparable Le Grand Mas de Valcros. A house that really has every luxury and comfort with the most insane views. Endless pool-time, boules tournaments, visits to bastide towns and a trip to the sea - all missions that were completed with happy smiles. A million thanks for letting us share your home.
Merveilleux séjour dans une magnifique villa. Base idéale pour explorer cette belle partie de la France. J'ai passé la plupart des soirées sur la terrasse à profiter du coucher de soleil. J'y retournerais sans hésiter lors de mon retour dans cette région.
Excellent séjour de vacances, villa magnifique, piscine spacieuse, temps fantastique. Lisbeth, une hôte très serviable, rien de trop problématique, toujours contactée par téléphone, (pour confirmer le départ). Bessan joli village, toutes commodités ici et proche des plages, Pézenas et Béziers. Merci Lisbeth pour 2 semaines de vacances reposantes.
The house and the grounds are fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area. The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc comfortable. The kids loved the swings etc and the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. The food was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Notre séjour a été excellent! Une fantastique maison avec beaucoup d'attraits. Nous sommes tous tombés amoureux du Lac Saint-Cassien. Nous avons visité Cannes et Monte-Carlo qui n'étaient pas si loin. Merci pour ces superbes vacances que nous avons tous appréciées.
C'est la destination idéale pour des vacances de type en plein air. Les randonnées sont superbes et les paysages sont magnifiques. C'est franchement un peu difficile de partir.
The property was everything we were hoping for and more. It's simple yet beautifully done out inside. The outdoor areas are great, particularly the pool. It's so well designed for a family holiday. The local village is so cute and the hotel restaurant great too. And obviously the local wine was delicious too! Couldn't have asked for more.
Merveilleux château et parcs. Un endroit idéal pour se relaxer. Bien équipé comme prévu et beaucoup de choses à faire ou pour jouer.
Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette belle villa. Prendre un bain de soleil au bord de la piscine, nager et faire de l'escalade (ce ne sont seulement quelques-unes des choses que nous avons faites). Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine.
Quelle belle maison! Les jardins, la vue et la piscine sont tout simplement magnifiques et nous avons passé les plus belles et les plus reposantes vacances en admirant la vue, en profitant de la magnifique piscine et du fantastique canapé, l'endroit idéal pour se détendre à l'ombre du mûrier. Marianne [la femme de ménage] a été merveilleuse - nous avons apprécié la balade en canoë sur le Dropt et la visite d'Eymet, sinon nous avons tout ce dont nous avions besoin ici!
Just back from a week's stay at Villa La Baronne. I understand this is a newly renovated property and it is very clear that no expense has been spared on the project. It is a large property that could suit more than one family or a group of friends and can sleep up to 14 people. Every detail has been lovingly considered and stylishly executed. Bedrooms are beautifully appointed with elegant furnishings and comfortable beds. The house has been designed to offer endless activities both inside and out. We were lucky with the weather for October and so were able to use the huge and stunning Swimming Pool, the Jacuzzi, Pétanque pitch and the specially installed Croquet Lawn. In the evening, we took advantage of the cinema and games room, playing pool, table football, ping pong, chess and darts. A brilliant house for families with teens! There is even a huge TV, especially for use with games consoles. The house has a beautiful kitchen, fully equipped with every gadget you could require. Although we didn't use it, there is also a BBQ for evenings on the huge terrace. The property is situated on the banks of the River Tarn and is surrounded by beautiful mature trees and a large garden. It was a very quick and easy drive from the airport and local amenities for food shopping. The local village, a ten-minute walk away, was very quiet but does have a pleasant local restaurant and within a few minutes by car you can access larger towns. In less than 40 minutes we reached Toulouse centre and the beautiful town of Albi and I gather there are many other attractions within an hour from the property. Although we were briefly aware of a party at the neighbouring property, we found the location very peaceful, with lovely dark skies at night for star gazing. The Wi-Fi was extremely good and there is plenty of parking. All in all we would highly recommend this property, which is of the highest quality. Our thanks to the charming hosts.
We have just come back from having a fab week. It was beautiful. We had a week of wonderful hot sunshine which prevented us from using the wonderful sitting room and the fire. This would be a great place for the cooler parts of the year as well as the summer. Also the kitchen was probably the best equipped kitchen that we have ever had the pleasure to use on a self catering holiday. The Garden was lovely. All in all a great place.

We had to wait a long time for our much anticipated return visit to your wonderful villa - and it did not disappoint. We have had the best time, Sophia enjoyed the pool (as we all did). Great place to explore this fabulous area, a boat trip to Saint-Tropez and Port Grimaud plus two beaches. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us.
