Beautiful and stunning quiet location. Super market and local markets close by.
Magnificent villa with all the equipment you need to spend a pleasant week with friends. Spacious swimming pool, high standard equipment, plenty of space inside and out on the terrace, barbecue, bar, billiard table, rooms decorated with finesse and beds with impeccable mattresses. The owner couple is very friendly and attentive to their guests.
This place is truly magical. It’s clean and spacious with scenic surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend it enough!
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. Nous avons séjourné dans la belle Maison des Cordeliers à Sarlat en juillet 2024. Que dire ? Une propriété parfaite dans un endroit parfait au sein d'une ville magnifique. La piscine et l'espace extérieur sont tout simplement charmants, incroyablement privés mais à seulement cinq minutes à pied du cœur de l'action. Très paisible et bien équipé. La propriétaire Jackie est très serviable avec des réponses rapides à toutes les questions et offrant toute l'assistance supplémentaire nécessaire concernant la région et les recommandations. La villa elle-même est équipée de manière très réfléchie tout en conservant une atmosphère française authentique. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommanderions assurément cette villa à 100 % si vous avez la chance de visiter la belle ville de Sarlat.

Paradise We so enjoyed your beautiful slice of paradise in France. What an amazing 'estate' that truly defines old French country. So gorgeous and we so appreciate being able to use it. Everyone had a wonderful time.
J'ai séjourné au Château Bellevue avec ma famille et quelques amis l'été dernier. C'était magique ! Dès que nous avons franchi l'allée, passé la piscine et aperçu la maison, j'étais impatiente d'explorer le château et ses jardins. J'ai séjourné dans l'une des « chambres d'enfants » à l'étage, de magnifiques pièces avec de nombreux livres. Je passais mes journées à jouer avec mes amis dans le parc. Nous aimions particulièrement nous allonger à l'ombre des vieux chênes pour discuter et, le soir, nous adorions jouer à l'un des nombreux jeux de société. La plage, les montagnes et les jolis petits villages sont tout près et magnifiques.
Nous avons passé deux semaines merveilleuses à Sarlat. Sarlat et ses environs ont beaucoup à offrir. Nous avons apprécié les marchés locaux, une excursion au Château des Milandes et bien sûr une descente en canoë sur la Dordogne. L'emplacement de la maison est incroyable, à seulement quelques minutes à pied du centre. La première semaine de notre séjour, la température était de 30 degrés et la piscine était un véritable régal - un véritable point fort pour nous, nous avons passé de nombreuses heures à nous détendre et à profiter du beau temps. La maison elle-même était super et a répondu à tous nos besoins pour deux semaines de vacances. Merci Jackie pour toute ton aide. Nous reviendrons bientôt.
Notre famille de 4 personnes (2 adultes, 2 enfants) a passé un moment fabuleux à explorer Sarlat et la Dordogne depuis cette base formidable. La maison est parfaitement située et la piscine est une aubaine après une journée complète de visites. Je recommanderais vivement cette propriété, mais il nous sera alors plus difficile de réserver à nouveau.
Very pretty new hotel, charmingly furnished in the beautiful wine village of Meursault. You can get to Beaune very quickly, but Dijon is also easily accessible by car. Very nice, warm hosts.
We stayed in the Maison des Artistes for 2 weeks at the end of June and had a fantastic holiday. There were 5 adults and 2 kids in our party and the house had plenty of room for everyone’s differing needs. The photos of the listing are absolutely spot on in terms of accuracy! The outside space really is big. It had plenty of chairs/loungers/covered day beds. Fantastic outside table for al fresco eating. The pool was beautiful. We had a couple of minor issues with the pool during our stay due to a couple of severe storms in the area but Colin and Mel were very prompt at dealing with these. The gas BBQ was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which you often find to not be the case. Internally there is air conditioning in each room. The whole house has electric shutters which are great for blackout blinds to get some good sleep and also keep the house cooler. Beds very comfortable, nice linen wear on all beds. Towels were all brand new. Generous and lovely welcome basket was there for us on arrival. Colin and Mel met us on arrival at the property and gave us a very quick run down and left us to it. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay when we did have any queries or minor issues. Kitchen was very well equipped for large parties, loads of plates, utensils, cookware etc. Good supply of kitchen basics. Lovely toiletries in bathrooms. Very quiet peaceful location. In summary one of the best properties we have ever stayed in over many years of holidaying abroad
We stayed at Maison Sainte-Croix in June last year and I have to say, we had a fantastic holiday. The spacious house is very comfortable and there is plenty of room for everyone. We particularly liked the choice of terraces to enjoy the magnificent views at different times of the day. We had many enjoyable afternoons tasting wine in the various local villages and were glad that we drove rather than flew so that we could take home some of our favourites! We found some very good restaurants in Vaison and the street market is well worth a visit. Many thanks!
La région la plus agréable de France. Le séjour le plus agréable en villa de « luxe ». Points forts: -légumes frais du marché de Duras lundi. Pour manger à Eymet, presque tous les restaurants feront l'affaire, mais les favoris sont la Cour d'Eymet et le Château les Vigiers. -regarder les milans royaux chasser dans les champs le soir. Les lézards et le geko sur le patio. Dans l’ensemble, c’est une expérience mémorable.
Une expérience tellement incroyable! Nous avons vécu une fantastique expérience aux Fumerates. L'endroit est d'une propreté éclatante, les équipements sont haut de gamme et la vue depuis la piscine à débordement est magnifique. Nous étions un peu fatigués quand nous sommes arrivés le premier jour et avons fini par passer la soirée à la villa, en prenant quelques verres dans le jardin, avec vue sur la piscine et ce fut une expérience tellement incroyable. Les hôtes ont beaucoup réfléchi aux arrangements et cela se voit. Nous recommandons fortement.
Quelle belle maison! Les jardins, la vue et la piscine sont tout simplement magnifiques et nous avons passé les plus belles et les plus reposantes vacances en admirant la vue, en profitant de la magnifique piscine et du fantastique canapé, l'endroit idéal pour se détendre à l'ombre du mûrier. Marianne [la femme de ménage] a été merveilleuse - nous avons apprécié la balade en canoë sur le Dropt et la visite d'Eymet, sinon nous avons tout ce dont nous avions besoin ici!
Spotlessly clean, stunning home. We had everything we needed and more - especially for the children. Unintrusive, super helpful.
We are a family of two adults and three teens and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Somail! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of space inside and out. The pool area is very sheltered and private - having the pool to cool us down on the hottest of days was certainly appreciated! We enjoyed being so close to the canal and seeing the boats sailing past, it’s a beautiful location. There is a good selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the house, yet the house was very peaceful and we were never disturbed by any noise from the restaurant next door. There were plenty of activities within an easy driving distance to keep us all amused for the duration of our stay including lakes, beaches and shopping. We hope we can return again, thank you for a wonderful holiday.
La véritable vie provençale - la tranquillité. Nous sommes venus par beau temps printanier. Propriété phénoménale et authentique située dans un très petit village à proximité de nombreux sites clés de Provence. Excellent point de départ pour explorer les oliveraies, les vignobles et les marchés de la ville environnants. La maison est d'une tranquillité exquise et propice à la détente et à la préparation de merveilleux repas à savourer dans la salle à manger, la cuisine ou le jardin. Belle piscine et cour, à distance de marche de la pâtisserie, de la boulangerie et des marchés bio locaux. C’est une expérience vraiment mémorable.
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique à la Maison Lanave. Nous avons adoré la maison, la piscine, l'emplacement et les environs. Ce fut un séjour vraiment exceptionnel. David et Kirstie ont été d'une gentillesse incroyable et nous ont donné d'excellentes recommandations pour les dégustations de vins, les marchés nocturnes et les restaurants locaux pendant notre séjour. La piscine et le barbecue extérieur sont parfaits pour les grands groupes, les barbecues et les repas. La propriété a dépassé toutes nos attentes et les photos ne lui rendent vraiment pas justice. Nous avons adoré !
Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. Good luck with your future project and we hope to be back very soon - you are doing an amazing job!
Our fifth visit - and we never tire of Maison Rohmer. It remains a charming - and very comfortable - hideaway. Roll on next year!

We travelled to this beautiful villa with friends for 6 nights and our stay was truly wonderful. We were fortunate with the weather most days so managed to enjoy some of the many amenities the villa has to offer including swimming and sunbathing by the pool, playing croquet and pétanque! We also ate outside on the veranda every day, enjoying the BBQ and the good weather. The villa had so much to offer. We had two days when the weather was not so good and were kept busy by the games rooms downstairs – we made great use of the pool table and projector for playing music, movies and watching sports, it really was a lifesaver on one particularly cloudy day. On arrival the villa was clean and the villa handbook was most helpful to support us settling in, additionally the host was quick to respond and always willing to help with our queries. The villa offers great privacy with peaceful surroundings and allowed us to relax away from others. The village is a short walk away and we enjoyed lunch there on our final day at the restaurant which is also worth a try. On specific days there were gourmet food trucks that stopped by in the village offering various sweet and savoury items – we tried the crepes which were lovely and a nice treat after an evening walk around the river and church in lovely Buzet. We loved everything about the place, I would highly recommend this to both friend groups and families.
Beautiful setting, fantastic space. Well kept both inside and out. Facilities were fantastic. Great pool - child friendly and garden toys were a perfect addition too. Lovely family holiday enjoyed by all ages.
We have had a wonderful week at Château du Pic de Rigaud and enjoyed every minute! The weather has got better and better and we've had perfect days by the pool. The château has been incredibly comfortable and provided everything we needed. We have enjoyed exploring Najac including the Wednesday evening market. Thank you to Henrietta and Peter for all your help and bookings. We will miss this wonderful house and grounds and our morning walks to the Boulangerie. We hope to return.
Nous avons récemment passé deux semaines dans la propriété avec six autres amis. L'ensemble a été joliment décoré avec des couleurs vives et fraîches, ainsi que les deux cuisines richement équipées. La plupart des chambres disposent de leur propre salon et d'une salle de bain complète. Nous avions choisi la chambre jaune qui donnait sur la cour et les montagnes. L'intérieur de la propriété est vraiment aussi attrayant que les photos sur le site Internet. Il y a deux grands salons, dont un avec télévision grand écran. La piscine et le coin repas extérieur sont bien entretenus et agréables à utiliser. Le patio aux dimensions très généreuses, surplombant les Pyrénées, est équipé pour écouter de la musique et peut être éclairé la nuit, pour manger et danser en plein air. Le propriétaire nous a suggéré, un soir, d'essayer un restaurant local, appelé Gayda. Si vous séjournez à la propriété, vous devez vous rendre à Gayda pour le dîner. Le dimanche soir, ils vous présenteront un repas véritablement gastronomique, ainsi que tous les vins pour accompagner le repas cinq étoiles, le tout pour environ 25 euros par personne. (Nous y sommes allés trois fois). Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour passer des vacances fabuleuses est disponible à la propriété. Vous l'adorerez.
Wonderful holiday in this beautiful and stylish home! The house has been refurbished to a very high specification and the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are luxuriously contemporary. The kitchen is impressively well equipped. There is so much to do in the area which is steeped in history and blessed with natural beauty. The Roman ruins at Vaison are a must- see. We were amazed to find the largest archaeological site in France just down the road and the medieval town, on the other side of the river, with its winding streets, is charming. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning views and the peace and tranquility of the gardens and pool but outings to the hilltop villages of Seguret and Venasque and a wine tasting in Gigondas or Châteauneuf du Pape are experiences not to be missed!
We are so grateful to have met you both! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us. It was everything we dreamed of and more. We leave for London feeling rejuvenated from the warmth and tendriers you showed us. We can't wait to see you again.
