Rachel and Anthony made us feel welcome and were on hand, if needed, for any information. It was the best gite we have stayed at in twenty years of holidaying in France. Recommend taking train into Carcassonne from Bram. It is so easy and only 15 minutes or so.
We have been coming to the south of France for over 20 years and Maison Theron was the best we have stayed in. The decor, furnishings and bedding were such good quality, we felt like we were staying in a boutique hotel! The local housekeeper did an amazing job as the house was spotless when we arrived. Thank you so much we will definitely be back!
Wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us stay at your incredible house. How lucky you are to have that place - from the family photos, it looks like you have a lot of great memories from years gone by. We had a very relaxing time hanging out with our family at the house and thoroughly enjoyed pottering around the French countryside. It was just what the doctor ordered! Patrick and Jayne were also very helpful throughout our stay so please do thank them for their amazing hospitality
A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.
Belle villa dans un endroit magnifique. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour confortable. L'hôte qui nous a accueillis à l'arrivée et au départ n'aurait pas pu être plus serviable et sympathique.
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!

We visited as 3 families of 4 with 6 children age 7 and under between us. The pictures don’t do the house or grounds justice. It was absolutely wonderful with everything we could have needed for adults and children. Plenty of space, inside and out and the pool that kept everyone happy for hours every day. We would highly recommend to others.
Really beautiful and clean place. We had comfortable beds and the available facilities were great. The contact was nice and fast.

Thank you both so much for a magical 5-night stay. We have absolutely loved staying here and will miss it when we go home! The gîte is amazing, beautiful inside and out. We really appreciate all of your efforts for making our stay so comfortable. Such a lovely touch having fresh bread, eggs and veg from your garden waiting for us - perfect. We loved feeding the chickens and the horse! Thank you also for all the recommendations on what to see and where to go, Russell. We will definitely be back!

Charming host. Beautiful location with magnificent views with vines and sunflowers. Perfect for running and walking. Good clean pool with covered area alongside so ideal for being in the shade. House very comfortable with all amenities including air con throughout.
Quelle semaine fabuleuse nous avons passée avec des amis formidables dans cette charmante villa. Merci Galina de nous avoir si bien accueillis. La villa a répondu à tous nos besoins, nous avons adoré la piscine, le terrain de pétanque et les vélos ont été parfaits pour sortir explorer.

Great stay in your wonderful home. Enjoyed exploring the area including Nerac and its chateau museum. Good lunch at Le Vert Gentil next to the river in Nerac. Loved the lily gardens at Temple Sur Lot and managed to get a table for lunch without booking. Beautiful setting and pretty good food too! Night market here (last of the season) was great fun and amazing setting overlooking the lot valley. Janet and Mark you’ve been great hosts and really helpful. Thank you.

We have had a fantastic stay in this fabulous property and wanted to say how much we loved The Loft! It was everything we had expected and more; it is fantastically equipped and we wanted for nothing. Karen and Russell are excellent hosts and we hope to stay here again in the future. Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.
Tortoise name suggestions:- Sherman Victor Esio Trot (anagram for tortoise + book +TV show!) Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory TV). We have enjoyed a wonderful week in your stunning house. Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.
Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans votre maison confortable et charmante. Nous pouvons recommander les produits laitiers de l'agriculteur local et l'une de nos visites préférées aura été Chinon. Nous avons aussi découvert le vin de Savennières qui est un vrai régal. Nous aimerions revenir bientôt!
Il est rare de trouver une si belle décoration où se côtoient antiquités de grande qualité et art contemporain. Nous avons apprécié l’authenticité des lieux, la nature protégée et la proximité des sites touristiques majeurs. Par leur gentillesse et leurs recommandations, les hôtes ont largement participé à notre agréable séjour. Nous recommandons ce gîte récemment ouvert à la location et en permanente évolution.
Quel plaisir nous avons eu de passer une semaine avec du soleil tout plein, dans votre magnifique villa ! Quatre adultes, huit enfants... et chacun y a trouvé son bonheur. Belle maison, superbe jardin, piscine extra !!! Nous en avons profité un maximum. Merci pour votre gentillesse et votre disponibilité. Vous êtes vraiment très serviable et sympathique.
