Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances d'octobre en famille au Château Bellevue, à regarder les championnats de surf Quicksilver et Roxy ProFrance à Hossegor. Il faisait encore chaud et, entre les épreuves, nous avons visité Saint-Sébastien et adoré la vieille ville et ses nombreux bars à tapas exceptionnels. De retour au château, en fin de journée, c'était agréable de se détendre au coin du feu et de planifier les excursions du lendemain.
Beautifully converted and furnished house with two lovely gîtes, a swimming pool and terraces. The wide views over the vineyards are unprecedented. The owners again make something very beautiful !!!
Nous avons séjourné pour la quatrième fois ici à Saint-Amand de Coly. Nous avons passé une belle semaine ensoleillée et un excellent séjour à la Maison Amand. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée. Merci beaucoup! Nous reviendrons et resterons plus longtemps.
We just wanted to thank you again for letting us stay in your beautiful home in France. We had such a wonderful time – the house was absolutely lovely, and it made for a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.
Perfect peace and luxury. Château Velouse is the perfect place to relax: large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, extensive walled grounds, an orchard, seats tucked away under shady trees, well equipped large kitchen and a heated swimming pool with comfy beds and parasols. The château is far enough from the road to ensure that bird song is the loudest noise you will hear. We had a marvellous week with a large group of friends ( 15 for dinner one night ) and the château never felt crowded. The outdoor dining terrace was perfect of an evening and we sat late into the night laughing, drinking and playing giant jenga! This venue is perfect for a group of friends or family to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings. You do need a car to get out and about and Bourges is well worth a visit when you can tear yourself away from the pool.
The Villa is beautifully appointed and furnished to a very high standard .The kitchen has every appliance you could possibly need. The bedrooms are very spacious with private balconies and the aircon throughout the villa is a must in the French summer months. Outdoor the furniture is of a excellent (the nicest outdoor furniture I think we have ever used) and the front terrace benefits the sun for the whole day. There was so many outdoor terraces and seating areas, that we didn’t get chance to use all of them in our 2 weeks, but the main one was very spacious for us all to use. The BBQ was a Webber and very easy to use and came with spare gas bottles As regular visitors to the area we usually have the frustration of parking in Collioure and the traffic in and out as the season get busy, but as the Villa is only a 10 minute walk into Collioure, we were able to pop in and as we wanted which made the holiday even more relaxing. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone wanting a modern, well equipped, well maintained villa with easy access to Collioure
Après une semaine à Barcelone, c'était un plaisir de trouver cette maison équipée pour une semaine. Nous sommes arrivés avec 4 garçons qui ont profité de la piscine et ont beaucoup joué. Endroit très calme. Belles excursions aux alentours. Très bonne boulangerie à 5 minutes en voiture ! Merci. C'était super !

We have returned! Even more enjoyable this year, weather and pool fantastic. The villa is close to perfect.
We had a superb 11 day stay in Fitou. Everything was as expected when we arrived - the property has everything you would expect and more when travelling with young children - in our case a 10 month old as well as 2½ year old twins. The car beds were a huge hit with the twins! The village of Fitou is also really nice - there are over 10 wines caves selling high quality local Fitou. There are also some excellent restaurants - would recommend Vidals if you are taking the kids. Outside of Fitou, Perpignan, Narbonne and Carcassonne are all realistic day trip options and the resort of Leucate is also good for a more traditional seaside ambience.
C'était la maison parfaite, tout ce dont nous avions besoin et plus encore.
Tout est fantastique, la maison est encore mieux que sur les photos et on remarque l'affection qu'on lui a donnée dans les moindres détails. Il a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et les appareils sont de grandes marques. Nous y sommes allés avec beaucoup d'enfants et ils ont passé un bon moment. Un grand merci aux hôtes et nous espérons revenir bientôt.

We have returned again as promised and, despite the worst weather we have experienced in France in over 20 years, we had a lovely time. Even indoors there were still plenty of things to do in the sheltered area to sit and play card games, or challenge each other to a game of table tennis in the barn. A very comfortable and well-equipped house. Thank you for your kind hospitality and we hope to return again soon!

Thank you for a fabulous holiday! You have a beautiful, well-appointed villa with all mod cons and loads of fun distractions to occupy the younger members of the family - pétanque, pool, table tennis, croquet, swimming and baby foot. The weather was unremittingly hot but your beautifully air-conditioned house provided welcome respite. We would strongly recommend this to our friends.
We have had a very relaxing and restful week here, with perfect weather. We loved the pool, playing table tennis and darts. The house has everything you could need and we have enjoyed having so much space inside and out! The surrounding area has lots to offer – Chauvigny is beautiful (we recommend The VeloRail) and we spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking at Angles sur L’Anglin.
The villa was larger than we thought and very private. It contains everything you could need, want and more.
Beautiful house - everything you could possibly need for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday. We loved it so much here we only ventured away from the property for 2 half days. We would love to return! A huge thank you to Gary and Louise for managing the property so well and giving expert local knowledge.

De retour chez nous je voulais tout simplement vous remercier vivement pour l’accueil exceptionnel que vous nous avez réservé lors de notre long weekend à Maureilhan. Comme on vous l’a dit ce matin, on s’est régalé à la Maison des Communes – et on a beaucoup apprécié votre générosité hors normes. Avec plateau de fromages, vin et viennoiseries, cela frôlait l’incroyable. Certainement, nous n’avons jamais avant profité d’une telle largesse lors d’une location en France, en GB ou ailleurs. Et comme vous le savez bien, votre maison est tout aussi remarquable, avec un brassage de styles et d’ambiances qui la rend aussi intéressante que luxueuse et accueillante. On n’avait vraiment pas envie de partir ce matin ... Donc, un grand merci une fois de plus et, je l’espère, à bientôt.

Après un long voyage, nous avons été ravis d'arriver dans votre maison accueillante. Notre séjour ici a été plus que confortable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin et plus encore à portée de main. Nous avons passé de superbes vacances à La Distillerie : le plus beau gîte où nous ayons séjourné, et un cadre idéal pour profiter de la campagne française. La propriété est joliment décorée, d'une propreté irréprochable et bien équipée avec tout le nécessaire. Mark et Gary sont des hôtes exceptionnels et nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès notre arrivée, grâce à leur accueil chaleureux et à leur hospitalité généreuse tout au long de notre séjour. Nous recherchions un séjour paisible et relaxant, et La Distillerie nous convenait parfaitement. La piscine, la terrasse et le jardin sont magnifiques, avec une vue imprenable sur la campagne environnante. De charmants villages sont également accessibles en voiture. Un grand merci à Mark et Gary pour avoir rendu notre première visite si spéciale, et nous avons hâte d'y retourner !
We had a wonderful family holiday at the domaine and wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the property and Pure France.com to friends and family who may be looking for accommodation in the region in future.
Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.
