Our weeks stay at Les Marquises was exceptional, this is due to the skilful combination of old and new, colour and light, greenery and shadow combined in a tasteful and harmonious style that characterises the interior of the house and its domain. When you stay in such a place, even for only one week, a place that was restored, recreated and maintained with so much love, you can only love it back, the house, garden, the scenery creates a rare feeling of magic that will stay with us. We felt wonderful and grateful to be guests at the house. Thank you.
The chteau is beautiful. Great house for our group of 10 adults and 8 children. lots of room for all of us to be comfortable. Amazing pool and lovely grounds. Kitchen is well equipped.. It is an old property and is well lived in but that isn’t a problem.

Thank you for a lovely week in Piglet. We were so pleased when Piglet was available for one of our weeks in France this summer. It was great coming here for a second time - felt like coming home. Thanks for your fabulous hospitality. Having toured around when we were here last year, we planned to be pretty local this week. Luckily the weather aligned meaning we could have warm, lazy days by the pool reading, playing games and family time. We loved revisiting the local bars and restaurant and loved our evening at the creperie. Thank you for the wine and cake.
The house is beautiful - amazing views, wonderful pool, very comfortable beds. We had a fantastic time - didn't see as much of the area as planned - as everyone so happy playing in pool!
This has been the time of our lives! The house is everything you could dream of - and then some.
Thank you so much for the most incredible week, we have made so many memories. Everything about the house has been perfect, such an easy space to relax in. Our girls have loved their week and have become real water babies! We return home to the Alps feeling recharged and look forward to another visit. Heavenly spot! Best wishes from all of us.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la piscine quand il faisait chaud, le barbecue la plupart des soirs et l'exploration de la ville. Nous avons également adoré découvrir les villes voisines. Le kayak a été un moment fort. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
We had a great time at the house - everything went smoothly. We also spent a fair bit of time exploring the general area although we always ended up back at the large table with a glass of rose taking in the view over the vines come end of day!
We enjoyed a fantastic 2 weeks in this lovely house. The pool was very popular (due to the August heatwave - most days were 30 - 33 degrees). It was nice to be given a guided tour of the property by Yvonne and be welcomed with flowers and wine. The house has so much character - It would be lovely to learn a little more about its history and former occupants. We loved lots of the al fresco dining and one particularly memorable cheese and wine night in the candlelit wine cellar! Île de Ré, La Rochelle, Cognac, Marais poitevin are all we worth visiting. Make sure you take a look at the stars on a clean night - we spotted a few shooting stars!
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cette maison rénovée avec goût et confort. La maison est très bien équipée pour les petits et les grands avec la salle de jeux, le terrain de pétanque et une piscine d’une taille très appréciable. Une grande partie de la piscine est à fond plat. La vue sur les vignes et les champs est magnifique et garantit une déconnexion totale.

I can only agree wholeheartedly with what Sue and Mike have written. You have a lovely home and I have really enjoyed my stay here. Grande maison en particulier la piscine, le jardin et les couchers de soleil incroyables. Quartier calme, pour ceux qui recherchent vraiment un endroit pour se déconnecter. Nous avons adoré !
Had an amazing holiday. The villa could not have been better. Had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi and access to English TV. The pool was great and heated so we could go in it all the time. The area was lovely. Food was brilliant and overall we have a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back to the villa.
Steven and Bruce have a fantastic place and they really went the extra mile to make our stay totally enjoyable. We've been staying at places in France for 20 or so years and we always come back fairly pleased, but perhaps with one or two thoughts about how something or other could have been better, but I think this is the first time we've come back and been unable to think of anything that was less than perfect.
Gorgeous House I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much we are loving staying in your beautiful house here! Everything works very well and we have had such a gorgeous, relaxed time among friends and family. You've imbued it with such beautiful little touches – it's felt homely and luxurious all at once.
We came here to celebrate a couple of family birthdays and get some time together. From the moment we walked in the door we quickly came to realise what an amazing place this is. The view from the kitchen window (bu the sink) literally brought my sister to tears. ... in a very positive way. This week has allowed us to explore the area to some degree, but with so much on offer around and in the property, there was little incentive to go anywhere. The difficulty now will be to keep this gem of a property a secret from others, as we will undoubtedly tell everyone about this fantastic place. Thank you for so generously sharing your house. Can't believe the stay is almost at an end. We have had a lovely time and the weather promised poorly but delivered very well, which enabled daily swimming in the brilliant pool. We all enjoyed the games of TT (table tennis) and boules competitions. So many interesting things to do in the surrounding area; we only managed Bergerac twice. Once for a wine tasting in the wonderful Maison du Vin and once for a very enjoyable boat trip. Golfing Black Kheri and the walk around the lake Les Graoussettes. The cave at Les Eyzies was very informative and curious to note the difference in scenery; handles not to be missed! Apart from the BBQ provided, we happened on Thursday Market at Monpazier; simply great and such a pretty place. We also enjoyed the marché gourmand at Villeréal (every Monday from 6.30pm. Bring tablecloth, cutlery and drinking vessels). Their counterparts in Issigeac on Thursdays during summer. Restaurant L’Atelier in Issigeac was a wonderful treat on our penultimate day and we would suggest booking a place at their mini, shared table and great food and plenty of wine.
We recently returned from a week's holiday at Maison Palatini in Pézenas. We had a wonderful time.

Nous avons tous passé un moment fabuleux : nous avons profité du beau temps, exploré les environs, goûté aux délices des restaurants locaux et des fêtes de village/marchés nocturnes, participé aux fêtes médiévales (un moment particulièrement apprécié !) , et surtout, nous sommes reposés au bord de la piscine. Ces deux semaines ont été exceptionnelles et agréables. Merci pour votre gentillesse et votre hospitalité chaleureuse. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour exceptionnel ici.
Aussi jolie de jour et encore plus de nuit, ce fut le lieu le plus paisible où je suis allée! L'endroit est magnifique et c'est une maison très spéciale.
Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques ici! La piscine était super, tout comme le temps. La maison était également très bien et très confortable. Le jardin était incroyable, nous vivions pratiquement à l'extérieur. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons vraiment adoré notre séjour ici et je la recommanderai certainement à nos amis et à notre famille.
Endroit majestueux en famille, tout est réuni pour partager d’agréables moments et se retrouver à l’abri des regards indiscrets… La propriété possède beaucoup d’espaces bien distincts pour le bonheur de chacun. Un dépaysement garanti de sérénité au cœur du pays basque.
We stayed in Maison Bouquier after falling in love with the area on a previous trip and loving then the walking in the Dentelles the tranquility, the pretty villages and excellent vineyards. If you feel active then Les Baux (and the outstanding Carrieres de Luminieres), Avignon, Orange And Châteauneuf-du-Pape are all good outings. Caromb is a great base to stay, with an extremely good supermarket, good range of local shops plus cafés and an outstanding restaurant in the town square. The house is situated at the edge of the village so is very peaceful. The house is really attractive with lovely gardens. It is extremely stylish yet very relaxing and was really well equipped. We appreciated the very comfortable beds and sofas, the powerful showers, the top of the range cooker, quality appliances and fans. It was lovely to always eat in the outdoors dining area, shaded even at the sunniest time of day, with a wonderful view. The pool, patio and second little seating area were all much enjoyed. We had a fabulous week.
We've had a wonderful holiday. The house has been perfect for our three families and the pool is quite superb.
The pool has been fantastic and it's such a beautiful garden and surrounding.
