We had a lovely weeks break at this beautiful house in this lovely old historic town. The food was lovely, the beach 20 minutes away was nice and quiet and our children absolutely loved it there as well as enjoying the lovely and very warm pool! The house itself caters for all your needs. A perfect week away at a beautiful house in the perfect location for you to enjoy all the area has to offer.
The house is perfect for holidays with friends! Everything is well equipped and the people who manage the place are very nice and responsive. The bedding is also comfortable. Thank you very much!

What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was très chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. Didn’t use the Moroccan room as it was just too hot for us. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. Thanks so much Estelle and co. What a wonderful holiday we have had ! Sad it’s over!
We had a beautiful fou-poster suite with claw footed bath in this attractive country château. We enjoyed a lazy week in glorious sunshine in August dipping in and out of the outdoor heated swimming pool. The château has extensive grounds in which to walk off dinner and is surrounded by peaceful countryside. Bourges was a great place to visit, both cathedral, palace and gardens were a must-see. We were with a large party of friends who took it in turns to cook and we ate outside on the terrace watching the sun go down.

Superbe propriété avec tout le confort. Nous avons passé une semaine en juillet 2023 en famille et avons adoré la beauté de ce domaine. La piscine à débordement, le jacuzzi et la table de ping-pong ont fait la joie des enfants. Le parc arboré offre un bel espace de détente et de promenade. Nous avions besoin d'une pause pour décompresser et nous détendre. Nous sommes tombés sur La Charmante Distillerie grâce à une recommandation et elle a dépassé toutes nos attentes. Les enfants étaient loin de leurs appareils électroniques et ont joué à la pétanque, au babyfoot, au badminton et même à des châteaux de sable. Ils se sont ensuite rafraîchis dans la piscine, avec de nombreux jeux pour les divertir. Le plus mémorable, c'est l'accueil ! Mark et Gary sont des hôtes exceptionnels. L'accueil dans leur magnifique maison de vacances était d'une grande authenticité, tout comme leur hospitalité – à la hauteur de nos attentes. Nous y retournerons certainement et avons hâte d'observer les étoiles avec le télescope de la maison dans le ciel nocturne limpide.
5 sur 5 ! Très calme avec piscine en plein cœur d'un joli petit village - Jardin très bien entretenu et fleuri avec superbe vue sur la Dordogne - Décoration intérieure - Accueil sympathique - Situation géographique (30mn de Sarlat-la-Canéda ou de Domme) - La région est superbe et les activités sont nombreuses : visites de châteaux ou de villes, balades en vélo ou en canoë... Bref à recommander!
Nous avons passé un fabuleux séjour à la propriété. Les meilleures vues qui soient et la demeure est agréable et confortable. La piscine était formidable et offrait encore davantage de vues spectaculaires. Merci Henrietta et Peter pour cet accueil chaleureux.

Encore de belles vacance passée dans cette région. La maison nous a offert tout ce dont nous avions besoin, tout comme les photos et les descriptions l'avaient montré. Le standing autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur était fantastique. Souvent en France, les piscines peuvent être un peu éloignées de la maison/des espaces communs extérieurs, mais c'était un aménagement fantastique pour que tout le monde puisse en profiter toute la journée et toute la soirée. La piscine était la meilleure partie, en très bon état et a procuré des heures de plaisir aux enfants et aux adultes, tout comme la salle de jeux. La maison était très spacieuse et toutes les installations/équipements fournis étaient idéaux. La petite promenade dans le village à travers les champs pour notre pain et nos gâteaux du matin et la proximité de Duras et d'Eymet (les villes que nous aimons visiter) en faisaient un endroit idéal.

Thanks for a truly wonderful week. The house, garden and pool are really fabulous. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and didn't do as much exploring as we should have done as we couldn't tear ourselves away from the garden / pool. Don't miss Friday evening in Pézenas with the high street market, food, wine and music.
The hosts have thought of every comfort. A fantastic base from which to explore this part of France. It was difficult to draw yourself away from the beautiful garden and pool. We stayed with them many times when they managed to create yet another little haven at their new base in France!
Ian and Hugh (and Stanley) have created something very special at Manoir de Fouilloux. Lovingly curated over many years, there are so many things to look at that it’s actually a marvel that we managed to spend any time by the beautiful pool or eat, drink and play games in any of the lovely outside space or barn. But, somehow we managed it. Simply a lovely place to stay. Full of character and charm. Don’t come here if you want a minimalist white box. Ian and Hugh were brilliantly helpful, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommended, will look forward to returning.
What a wonderful week! The villa is full of elegant and eclectic touches and the outside areas are divine. The pool is just perfect and the shade was needed this week when it was very hot (but not as hot as back home - thank goodness!) Beziers is lovely and there are plenty of places to visit near by. Philippe - you were a wonderful host providing recommendations when asked and keeping the pool sparkling clean. The treats you delivered were fabulous as was the trip you organised to Saint Chinian. Great holiday. We had a wonderful holiday in Mouans Sartoux. The villa was exactly as described and well equipped. We loved the heated pool and watched many a glorious sunset from the terrace. The owner, was extremely approachable and helpful all the way and tiny niggles got sorted out very quickly with the help of Mireille, the lovely housekeeper. We will definitely come back.
This beautifully maintained property is less than two hours outside of Paris. We never wanted to leave the grounds, there is everything to keep the kids happy: miles to run, pool, tennis and playhouse. We adults lazed all day by the pool while the children run happy and wild on the enclosed grounds. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations for off the beaten path wine tastings. Make sure she shows you the mill across the stream where they make the best croissants and bread. The layout of the château allows for several families to enjoy a vacation together, while maintaining peaceful, private moments. Best family vacation ever.

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique à Villa Galinette en juillet. La maison était très bien équipée et accueillante.
The renovation has been completed to an exceptionally high standard, combining rustic charm with modern comforts. The property is incredibly well equipped, everything has been thoughtfully provided and it is spotlessly clean. The pool was a perfect place to cool down and our children loved spending hours in it. The peaceful surroundings made for an incredibly relaxing week.Danielle was a fantastic host, warm, welcoming and always happy to help.The nearby village of Castelfranc is a short drive away, with a small bakery, perfect for picking up fresh bread and pastries every morning.This was a truly unforgettable stay, in a fabulous barn, in a beautiful part of France. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful high-quality getaway.
Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine ici. Le logement était de première classe, très bien aménagé, lumineux et spacieux avec des lits confortables. La piscine était attrayante et bienvenue. Il y avait beaucoup d'espaces disponibles pour s'asseoir, se détendre et se relaxer, entourés de belles fleurs. Il y avait beaucoup à faire dans la région, des villages perchés aux plages dorées. Les propriétaires étaient sympathiques et serviables, mais discrets. Nous recommanderions certainement un séjour.
It is difficult to put into words how special our stay has been. Everything about the Loft is first class and we are going to miss it dearly. On top of that, all your little touches have been incredibly helpful and generous. Above all though, you have been the most warm, considerate and welcoming hosts - you really could not have done anything else to help us. Having travelled extensively we definitely rate you as the best! Of course, we have loved exploring the area, including a wonderful trip to the Pyrenees, and we are very keen to get to know it better. Finally, the last word goes to Mack and Mabel - they are adorable and we have enjoyed sneaking down for cuddles. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.
As a group of 7 from age 2 to 62 and having had similar holidays in recent years this has been the best. Wonderfully well equipped with thoughtful advice everywhere. Everybody loved the pool and there are plenty to things to see and do in the area, thanks again.
