We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.
À nouveau une excellent séjour - nous n'avons pas été déçus. Ian et Jean étaient super serviables. La maison était plus confortable que jamais, tandis que le temps était assez clément pour que nous puissions profiter de la piscine tous les jours. Un endroit fantastique pour se relaxer et se détendre. Nous espérons pouvoir vite revenir.

Le paradis absolu. Ma famille, quatorze d'entre nous de 70 à 1 an, a passé deux semaines mémorables et joyeuses au Manoir Alvère. La maison et le terrain sont magiques. Une promenade facile vous emmène dans le village, et il y a beaucoup de très bons endroits où manger à quelques minutes en voiture. L'arrivée et le départ sont faciles avec la propriétaire et le gardien Georges était sur place en cas de problème. J'envie tous ceux qui se retrouvent dans cet endroit très spécial !
Nous y avons passé LA meilleure semaine de détente de notre vie. Votre maison a tout. J'ai adoré votre réfrigérateur ! La piscine était un luxe. J'aurais aimé avoir réservé 2 semaines.
Des vacances absolument merveilleuses. Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment fabuleux de 12 nuits au Château Limousin. Nous étions 3 familles composées de 6 adultes et 8 enfants (de 3 à 9 ans). Le château et son terrain, y compris la grande piscine clôturée, sont extrêmement bien entretenus et offrent tout ce que vous pourriez souhaiter. Les propriétaires étaient des gens très gentils et extrêmement accueillants. Des vacances vraiment agréables... nous recommandons vivement.
Un séjour vraiment merveilleux. Un si bel endroit, calme, avec de superbes équipements. Merci beaucoup. J'adorerais revenir.
I just wanted to feed back what a lovely time we had in the villa a couple of weeks ago. The holiday was well worth waiting for and the villa delivered on all levels. We were certainly very grateful for the pool to cool off from the sweltering 40c heat and the lovely shaded areas surrounding the pool helped too. Most importantly, our mums had a lovely time. They were each able to have an ensuite bathroom which gave them their own space and privacy and thoroughly enjoyed the pool - even enjoying a splash about with an inflatable dolphin at one stage! (not bad for an 80 year old!) Please pass on our grateful thanks to the owners for allowing us the extra day for free and also allowing our early arrival which made things much easier on the Saturday. The Mums were already in the pool by the time we got back from the supermarket on the Saturday morning. A great success all round, excellent service from Pure France during all the covid changes and a wonderful villa too. Thank you
Nous y avons récemment passé un séjour très mémorable et agréable. Cette propriété luxueuse est confortable, bien présentée et très propre. Les vues depuis la propriété sont exceptionnelles et la piscine à l'horizon est le rêve de tout le monde. L'emplacement offre un accès aisé à Saint Paul de Vence et à la région environnante et constitue donc une base idéale pour découvrir les sites locaux.
Ce fut un plaisir de séjourner ici. Vous avez une merveilleuse maison et très bien entretenue. Nous la recommanderons certainement à d'autres.

Quel beau séjour nous avons passé ! Nos vacances de deux semaines au Petit Pigeonnier n'auraient pas pu être mieux. Comme d'autres l'ont dit, l'emplacement est un mélange parfait de calme rural et de paix, tout en étant assez proche d'une excellente boulangerie et d'un magasin pratique. Si vous avez la chance d'y passer vos vacances, ne manquez pas les merveilleux restaurants à proximité. Debbie est l'hôte la plus incroyable, toujours là quand vous avez besoin d'elle et très discrète. Ses suggestions réfléchies et bien informées ont grandement amélioré notre agréable expérience.
Nous avons passé 2 nuits au Château de La Loire et avons été enchantés de chaque aspect de notre séjour. Le logement était joliment aménagé et il y avait plusieurs endroits tout aussi beaux où s'asseoir et profiter du cadre. Le cadre surplombant la Loire était époustouflant et le parc de street art attenant était un régal inattendu. Nous avons adoré la piscine et le spa et avons eu la chance d'en avoir seuls profité à plusieurs reprises. Nous serions ravis d'y retourner un jour.
Thank you for a fabulous two weeks at the Loft! The house is lovely and has been fitted out with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was a dream to cook in and the bathrooms were like staying in a 5 star hotel! However, our stay was made truly complete by your wonderful warm hospitality. It would not have been the same without your superb hosting skills! Lastly, thank you for letting the girls play with Mack and Mabel - it was definitely a high on the list of things they are going to miss after leaving the Loft. You've even cured their fear of dogs! All the best for the rest of your plans for the property!
We have had the most relaxing Fantastic, self indulged weeks stay here. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful place. We will definitely be coming again and bringing our chidren and their partners.
Le Clapier was absolutely beautiful, I’ve been going to France for the last 30 years on holiday and your house was head and shoulders above anything I’ve ever stayed in……The area is amazing and it’s a place that me and my partner want to buy in at some point. We loved the gift pack that we received when we arrived – very thoughtful.
Galina était une hôtesse formidable et accommodante. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans sa villa. Les photos et les descriptions sont exactes. À noter simplement que les chambres communicantes du premier étage ont une entrée indépendante. De manière plus générale et même s'il y a quelques éléments qui pourraient être améliorés, nous recommanderons certainement la villa.
We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!

What can I say, we’ve had the loveliest fortnight at Maison Charvin. Just the loveliest house, perfectly equipped, a cook’s heaven. Downside? Almost none. Biting insects were a bit of an issue, but we found Picosa insect repellent from the Intermarché in Capendu worked really well. (Get the one with “tiger mosquito” on the label). Vins de Dagne was great for dinner. Service a bit slow on our first visit but a fabulous last-night meal on our final night. Local supermarket in the village was closed during our stay, but the Intermarché in Capendu is only 10-15 minutes and there’s a nice baker in Lagrasse. (Could also order from Vins de Dagne, but we never really got our act together). We’d love to return, à bientôt!
And so ends another fabulous two weeks at the Loft du Vigneron. Everything we said in September 2017 remains absolutely appropriate. Karen and Russell, you do such a magnificent job in presenting The Loft - you really are in a league of your own. Please know how much everything you do is so appreciated - it all makes to provide such a fantastic holiday base. How we would love to stay on for another two weeks now - but this will have to wait until next year! We've loved spending time with you again - the boules tournament is firmly in the memory bank! Really sorry about the tea, Russell! Case for the defence: salt does look like sugar when you've had a drink or two! Good luck with the Chambres d'Hotes - it's looking fabulous.
As lovely as we were led to believe a fantastic hideaway in the South of France. We will be back.
C'est une maison magnifique, avec un jardin exceptionnel. Nous avons passé un moment incroyable à profiter de la piscine, des bains de soleil et des jeux (pétanque et ping-pong). J'ai vraiment apprécié de visiter la magnifique Brantôme, plus jolie et plus pittoresque que Périgueux. Je suis tombé sur un charmant restaurant à proximité de Mareuil. Restaurant La Belle - très accueillant, cuisine délicieuse et rapport qualité-prix fantastique. Dans l'ensemble, notre séjour ici a été merveilleux - nous avons adoré!
Un grand merci! Nous y avons passé la semaine la plus merveilleuse. La villa est fantastique avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et il a été si facile de s'y détendre et de profiter de nos vacances. Merci d'être un hôte aussi fantastique, Cédric. Un lieu incroyable. Nous avons loué deux semaines cette grande et belle maison et nous ne l’avons pas regretté : le calme, la vue, la grande piscine et le confort nous ont fait passé un séjour de rêve. Je recommande vivement.

Super week-end entre copains. Le logement est magnifique, propre, avec tout ce qu’il faut. La piscine est magnifique tout comme le jardin et la bâtisse de manière général. Je recommande vivement ce logement qui est idéal pour des familles ou encore des groupes d’amis.
