Château Périgord est fabuleux. Nous avons tous apprécié notre séjour et le recommandons vivement à d'autres. Nous envisagerions certainement un autre séjour. Nous vous remercions encore.
We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...
Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.
We have had a very relaxing and restful week here, with perfect weather. We loved the pool, playing table tennis and darts. The house has everything you could need and we have enjoyed having so much space inside and out! The surrounding area has lots to offer – Chauvigny is beautiful (we recommend The VeloRail) and we spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking at Angles sur L’Anglin.
Mon mari et moi avons passé une semaine parfaite. Du 23 au 29 juin 2025, Florence a été la meilleure hôte. La Grange était tout simplement magnifique. Les photos ne lui rendent vraiment pas justice. Les installations étaient parmi les meilleures que nous ayons eues. Nous allons en Dordogne depuis 30 ans avec notre famille. Cette propriété, avec tous les équipements nécessaires (et je dis bien TOUS), a dépassé nos attentes. Florence avait pensé à tout, même à des produits de spa de luxe très spéciaux. Des produits capillaires (y compris des lisseurs !). Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis avec le sourire et un pack de bienvenue plus que suffisant. Tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour le soir et le lendemain matin. Y compris le vin ! C'était vraiment la meilleure propriétaire que nous ayons rencontrée. Ce fut un tel plaisir de la rencontrer et de passer une semaine parfaite dans sa magnifique grange. Nous avons eu une soirée avec apéritifs dans le jardin. Une compagnie charmante. Toutes les informations sanitaires et de sécurité nous ont été données à notre arrivée, avec un numéro de téléphone que nous pouvions appeler à tout moment, pour n'importe quel besoin. La piscine était absolument parfaite. Nous avions un vaste choix d'activités : jeux, livres, musique, mais nous Nous avons été tout simplement stupéfaits de voir Netflix inclus ! Parfait pour une soirée détente sur les canapés très confortables. Eymet est également à seulement 15 minutes en voiture et offre un large choix de restaurants exceptionnels, de cafés, de boutiques, d'antiquaires, etc. Une magnifique ville historique. Nous ne pouvons que féliciter Florence et son merveilleux hébergement. Nous la remercions sincèrement d'avoir contribué à rendre notre semaine paisible, loin de tout. Tellement mémorable. J'ai oublié d'ajouter notre joie absolue d'avoir la climatisation partout ! La cerise sur le gâteau ! Merci encore.
Stunning renovation, not a person or light in front of us, fresh linen, ample space to relax and a place where we all could unwind with the family, we will be back again. 100%.
Excellent, everything exceeded our expectations. Lovely space. It was so lovely to arrive to hot food after a long journey and to not have to worry about shopping for the first few days. We had a fantastic holiday and will book again for next year. Thank you both so much.
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique. La maison est absolument superbe, la piscine et le jardin également. Sarlat est superbe avec son centre ancien bien conservé. Nous avons adoré nous y promener et déguster de bons repas dans les restaurants (il y en a beaucoup).
Je voulais juste dire à quel point nous avons apprécié nos vacances à la villa. Elle était impeccable et parfaitement située pour accéder au supermarché, à la pâtisserie, aux plages et à de nombreux restaurants de qualité et à quelques pas de la gare - que nous avons fréquentée la plupart du temps pour aller visiter d'autres stations balnéaires. La villa était considérablement plus grande que ce à quoi nous nous attendions et était bien équipée pour notre séjour. L'emplacement résidentiel calme était un avantage après des journées bien remplies. Dans l’ensemble, c’est une propriété parfaite. Merci beaucoup.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Richelieu. La maison est extrêmement élégante et avait tout le nécessaire. La piscine et les espaces de divertissement à l'extérieur étaient excellents. C'était une maison fantastique.
Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique en famille au Petit Pigeonnier - une vue incroyable sur le calme et le repos des vignes, un vaste terrain, avec un bon équilibre entre ombre et soleil, une piscine fabuleuse, un intérieur immense et frais avec un aménagement très bien pensé (pas seulement l'IKEA habituel) - tous charmants à tous points de vue. Debbie était une hôte parfaite : super discrète, mais là pour des conseils et des dépannages en cas de besoin, et surtout, si attentionnée pour que nous puissions profiter au maximum de notre séjour en profitant des sites, des marchés et des produits locaux (y compris les noix et les confitures de la propriété), qui regorgent localement ici ! Nous savions que nous allions passer de bonnes vacances dès que nous avons vu qu'une bouteille de vin nous attendait, fruit des vignes juste devant notre fenêtre, et nous avions raison.
Well equipped, nice pool and amazing views! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful villa. Corinne is a great host, quick to respond and accommodating. The house and especially the kitchen is very well equipped, it had everything we needed and we felt very welcomed. We loved spending the day by the pool and taking in the picture perfect views from the top terrace during the evenings. Seillans and the neighbouring area are a true gem, the nature, nice markets and plenty of local produce. Quiet area but full of life, just perfect. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

We have had a wonderful time in this super villa. Very relaxing. Collioure is still as pretty as ever, we had our honeymoon here 20 years ago!
We've rented a lot of other villa, châteaux and domaines, but this one was the best! The six ensuite bedrooms were all the same size and had the same amenities so none of the six couples had a less than optimal room as we've experienced in other rentals. The two on-site staff were wonderful and spoke perfect English (they're Irish so not a surprise). The location in Burgundy was perfect for day trips. If you book this rental, you'll be delighted!
Have had a wonderful holiday, very restful and really enjoyed the pool especially on a hot day. Enjoyed visiting Sète, Agde and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Would love to return on day. Absolutely loved the pool and the garden. Would recommend Les Polmiers and Pézenas is a beautiful town!

Une véritable oasis dans le quartier animé de Sarlat. Très bien située. On peut aller à pied partout. Marché fermier. Restaurant. Magnifique ville animée. Superbe piscine. Superbe jardin. Confortable. Jackie est très serviable et attentionnée.

Vous nous avez si bien accueillis et nous avons beaucoup aimé passer du temps dans votre jardin à observer les visiteurs réguliers comme les pics, les buses et les chouettes effraies, etc. Nous prévoyons déjà de revenir et promettons de visiter davantage la région. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la Maison des Cordeliers, c'est l'endroit idéal pour profiter du calme et de la tranquillité après une journée de découverte. Nous espérons y retourner !

Nous avons eu la chance de rester dans la propriété pendant une semaine. Hébergement 5 étoiles dans un magnifique village isolé de Montlaur, parfait pour explorer les régions viticoles environnantes. C'était vraiment des vacances incroyables et je le recommande vivement pour une escapade romantique tranquille ou des vacances en famille détendues. Et oh, ce balcon de Roméo et Juliette ! Hautement recommandé.
The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet / Seguret / Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.
