Stunning, really well maintained and clean. Feels very safe for our young family. Very well-thought-through facilities for an inter-generational group. Great use of pool, playroom, BBQ, dining areas. Delicious and varied menu enjoyed by all. Good interaction with hosts; always available (even with chocolates!). Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and hope to return.

We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
We've been lucky enough to stay at Manoir de Fouilloux on two separate occasions and have loved our stay both times. The house has been decorated and equipped to an extremely high standard. The property is blessed with beautiful views and a number of perfectly maintained gardens, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine, either on the terrace or in the Moroccan courtyard and den or by the swimming pool. It is also within a short distance of picturesque towns and châteaux. If you fancy some wine tasting St Emilion is close by as are the vineyards of Bergerac or maybe a visit to a local food market in Riberac. We are certainly planning to stay again! A wonderful place to relax
Nous venons de rentrer d'une semaine fabuleuse au Mas des Rivailles. La propriété est située le long d'une route calme et la plupart du temps, on n'entendait que le chant des oiseaux. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans la région, mais il y avait encore des endroits que nous voulions visiter. Cependant, nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps superbe et nous avons décidé de rester à la villa la plupart du temps car nous ne voulions tout simplement pas quitter la piscine et l'atmosphère relaxante. La piscine d'eau salée est certainement la meilleure que nous ayons eue jusqu'à présent. La villa est bien équipée et a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Elle était impeccablement propre et les jardins sont bien entretenus. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Frédéric qui nous a accueillis à notre arrivée et qui a été très serviable et sympathique, rien n'était trop difficile. Il nous a fait une visite guidée et nous a expliqué comment tout fonctionnait. Cela a certainement permis de bien commencer nos vacances. Un délicieux et généreux pack de bienvenue nous attendait à notre arrivée aussi. Nous recommandons vivement cette propriété à tous ceux qui recherchent des vacances reposantes.
Great stay! We were 10 and loved our week Le Mas de Combet. Swimming pool, bar, large kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms with private bathrooms. Everything was perfect, clean, in line with the photos and the host was great in their communication and advice. Definitely won over for future reunions with friends. Amazing stay for our 10-people holidays. From the house to the host everything was perfect. Thanks a lot.
We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.
We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.
What a beautiful, spaceous and clean place. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very nice area in the garden to relax by the pool, to have a bite on the terrace or to have drinks at your cosy private bar the area in the corner. Inside area has a very nice cool temperature, even when it's 38°C outside. Perfect. Slept like a bear! Absolutely loved my stay, which was too short! Adore the house and flowers, love the owners. Had a great time.

Ce magnifique gîte isolé se trouve sur le terrain d'une maison historique, toutes deux soigneusement restaurées par nos hôtes. Il offre tout le nécessaire pour des vacances en toute indépendance, même si vous trouverez un excellent restaurant local dans le village, à seulement cinq minutes à pied, et d'autres dans les villages environnants. La grande piscine privée est un atout supplémentaire. Nous avons utilisé ce gîte comme point de départ pour une semaine d'exploration de la Dordogne. Thonac est en plein cœur de la région historique et préhistorique de la Dordogne : les grottes de Lascaux, célèbres pour leurs peintures rupestres préhistoriques, sont à deux pas, et de nombreux sites troglodytes anciens se trouvent à proximité. Un peu plus loin, vous pourrez visiter le château de Castelnaud et sa fascinante collection d'armes anciennes. Nous avons également visité Périgueux et Rocamadour, approfondissant ainsi notre connaissance de la cuisine locale. Pour couronner le tout, Caterina et Steve sont des hôtes merveilleux et accueillants, ravis de discuter de l'histoire de la propriété et des excursions possibles dans la région, et soucieux de s'assurer que leurs hôtes ne manquent de rien. Je les recommande vivement. Enfin, je tiens à vous remercier, ainsi que toute l'équipe de Pure France, pour l'excellent service que vous avez fourni cette année et je me réjouis de vivre une nouvelle année fructueuse avec vous.

Plenty of room for the whole family. Lovely outdoor dining area with scenic pond. BBQ was great. The swimming pool area was beautiful, very clean and child friendly. There was enough seating in all spaces for the whole family. Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.

Trois générations de notre famille ont apprécié ce séjour dans la belle maison spacieuse et bien équipée d'Helen avec son beau jardin, sa piscine, son terrain de pétanque, sa cuisine d'été et sa vue sur le château ! Beaucoup d'espace, tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur, en fonction de la chaleur. Le sous-sol plus frais offre du tennis de table, du matériel de gym et des puzzles, nous en avons profité pendant la chaleur extrême! L'emplacement était idéal pour le canyoning (Héric), le kyaking (Orb), la nage en rivière (Reals), le karting (nr. Laurens), la plongée sous-marine (Montpellier), les cours de peinture (Pouzolles) etc. Grands restaurants et bars locaux (Roujan, Gabian) et petits vins de domaine à découvrir. Le grand Super U de Roujan possède une excellente boulangerie/pâtisserie attenante, ouverte également le dimanche matin. Rien ne manque pour de superbes vacances !

What a wonderful holiday at this amazing Villa. Firstly, a big thank you to the owners who were amazing and answered all our queries and were very fair minded when checking out. This really is a luxury apartment and everything was as stated. The pool is excellent as well as the hot tub. The are lots of eating areas and plenty of room to sunbath on the decking. I can recommend taking advantage of the visiting chef - he was excellent. The property has aircon which works extremely well. The kitchen is amazing with every mod con you could want and well appointed with kitchen equipment. The welcome book was very useful and covered everything. There are plenty of fridges and freezers and one outside which was very useful. We were 7 adults and three young children and we fitted in very well and never felt cramped. Some of the walks nearby are very good. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough and we will definitely be returning
Nous venons de passer une semaine vraiment merveilleuse dans votre belle maison. Il y avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre groupe mixte - âgés de 14 mois à 82 ans ! Tout en profiatant d'un magnifique soleil ! Avec beaucoup, beaucoup de remerciements.
Très belle maison propre et bien équipé. Nous avons passé une superbe semaine (4 adultes et 5 enfants). Magifique piscine, une grande salle de jeux très agréable. Nous recommandons cette maison sans hésiter.
We enjoyed a brilliant week in L'Escapade au Lac. Day trips canoeing on the Dordogne and visiting quintessential French villages were interspersed with long walks straight from the house and lazy afternoons by the pool. The house is beautiful and well equipped and the setting is simply stunning. Nick and Nicky were delightful hosts. The welcome hamper was generous and delicious. As a family of four plus Peggy our cockapoo (children aged 12 and 14) we can't recommend the house enough.

Fabuleux séjour aux Fumerates. La piscine est de "très haut de gamme". Villa au calme, située à flanc de colline. À quelques minutes à pied de Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Tout est exactement comme décrit. Grandement recommandé.
Wonderful time with the big family. The beautiful Château Velouse offers plenty of space for a large family or friends, with a great kitchen, a large dining room and a cozy living room. Almost each of the eight traditionally decorated bedrooms are having their own modern bathroom. The huge park is great for own dogs, which you can easy bring with you.
Thank you for a wonderful two weeks at your beautiful home, we fell in love with Les Marquises as soon as we stepped out of the car the gorgeous gardens, plants, flowers and the views! Then the house where to start, the clever beautiful sense of style and decoration in every room is enchanting, warm and welcoming and although we enjoyed visiting Nyons, Vaison la Romaine and Orange, the best part of our holiday was just relaxing around the swimming pool and enjoying this outstandingly beautiful place. Thank you so much for this most memorable holiday.
We have loved our stay here! Fantastic weather, relaxing days and memorable meals by the pool! Our boys enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool! After 8 weeks away it was great to have space - we would love to visit again someday!
Cette maison était fantastique ! À l'intérieur, c'était comme une maison témoin, magnifiquement conçue. La cuisine était la mieux équipée de toutes les maisons où nous avons séjourné. Le jardin était bien aménagé avec un accès direct au coin repas extérieur à l'ombre des arbres et à la piscine. Les vues étaient magnifiques sur la vallée et les couchers de soleil étaient à couper le souffle. Une promenade jusqu'au barrage est recommandée où vous pourrez également vous baigner dans la rivière. Nous avons fait des excursions à la mer qui est environ à 60 minutes et aux villages aux alentours. Le village local est à 5 minutes en voiture et possède un magasin convivial bien approvisionné, un café et un marchand de journaux. Il y a une petite camionnette qui s'arrête vers 10h du matin et qui vend du pain et des pâtisseries. Nous recommanderions certainement cette maison.
Beautiful! We do feel thoroughly spoilt and have had a wonderful time. The playroom alone is better than our own and the pool is perfect. Very friendly, helpful and efficient service.
What a stunning location. We have had a wonderful week and extremely sad to be leaving this idyllic spot. The house is incredibly well appointed and kitted out with everything we could possibly have needed. We spent the week relaxing and fitting in the odd wine tasting, horse ridding lessons for our two girls and visiting the brilliant goat farm! Thank you so much for the incredible stay!
Nous venons de rentrer d'un mois en France où nous avons séjourné au Domaine de Laure. Nous avons passé un séjour tout simplement agréable. Avant de partir, nous avions quelques réserves sur le fait que la propriété était attenante à la maison des propriétaires. Nous accordons une grande importance à l'intimité et l'expérience nous a montré que cela peut être parfois compromis. En fait, il s'est avéré que nous avions le meilleur des deux mondes - de l'aide chaque fois que nous en avions besoin - Pierre et Benedict étaient charmants - et une intimité totale le reste du temps. La maison est confortable, propre et bien équipée. Les lits king size et la télévision anglaise étaient un bonus. La piscine était propre et bien entretenue. Mais pour nous, c'était l'emplacement et la paix totale qui étaient particulièrement spéciaux - encore mieux que sur les photos. La vue était magnifique et le terrain très spacieux. La seule intrusion était le doux tintement des clochettes des chèvres... magique ! Nous n'hésitons pas à recommander vivement le Domaine de Laure.
Une maison exceptionnelle dans un cadre exceptionnel. Nous avons pu vivre tout le long d'une semaine dans cette demeure de plusieurs façon différentes, en famille, en couple entre amis et cette maison est faite pour vivre ! Prenez le temps de profiter de la superbe cuisine, un équipement au niveau professionnel, avec et sans traiteur vous apprécierez ce coeur de maison. Un grand terrain qui se partage au tour de la maison pour différentes activités, un superbe salon de jardin vue sur la Rhune, un coin chaleureux autour d'une table ronde et son court de tennis pas bien loin. Le terrain s'étend à offrir une petite balade, de quoi digérer après le grand banquet dans la maison de réception où grand canapé, rétro projecteur et bar vous y attendent ! Un calme parfait et une literie très agréable, de quoi passer un séjour d'exception où repos et plaisir sont les maitres mots de notre expérience.
