Our week at Maison Charvin from Arlo, the family dog. My family thinks that Maison Charvin is simply beautiful: opulently furnished, exquisitely decorated. More of a château than a maison. That said, my mummy says it’s not pretentious but cosy and homely, much appreciated on the unusually slightly chilly and windy days for part of our stay. The pool has provided instant relief for my family when the weather has been hot and sunny. My human brothers’ favourite space is the very relaxing courtyard where my mummy and I have dozed off on numerous occasions! My daddy has very much enjoyed reading many books from the vast collection. The house is deceptively large, providing ample chilling space for everyone, including me after a hot day in the sun. We enjoyed visiting Trebes (on the Canal), Carcassonne, Lagrasse and the dog-friendly beach in Narbonne. My family enjoyed the pizza which they ordered from the pizza van by the church on Thursday late afternoon. They also had baguettes and pastries (ordered in advance) from Aurelien at Vins de Dagne.
Quand pouvons-nous y retourner !? Endroit merveilleux et idéal où séjourner et se détendre pour 3 couples pendant quelques nuits. Au cœur du village où il y a de quoi faire si l'on souhaite juste un peu de calme et de tranquillité.
Nous avons passé un excellent week end dans une maison qui correspond en touT point à la description : confortable, spacieuse, vue magnifique. Le temps n'était pas propice malheureusement à un plongeon dans la piscine en février, mais nous imaginons à quel point ce peut être agréable. Maison idéale pour des retrouvailles en famille
Great stay in your wonderful home. Enjoyed exploring the area including Nerac and its chateau museum. Good lunch at Le Vert Gentil next to the river in Nerac. Loved the lily gardens at Temple Sur Lot and managed to get a table for lunch without booking. Beautiful setting and pretty good food too! Night market here (last of the season) was great fun and amazing setting overlooking the lot valley. Janet and Mark you’ve been great hosts and really helpful. Thank you.

We just wanted to drop you a quick message to say how much we enjoyed your lovely house in France. Les Roches was a wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing, seeing something of the Southern Loire, and trying new wines. The pool, tennis courts, and gym were a big hit with the kids especially. Isabella, thank you for the personal tour of the winery, it was good to learn more about how you create your organic/low sulphite wines and the great knowledge shared while tasting a few, along with the ones we thoroughly tested during our stay The Femme Tour riding by the gates was a one off and such an amazing and friendly experience. We toasted with sparkling wine (Ampelidae of course) on the barrels set at the end of the drive as they rode past. Please say thank you to the so helpful Beada once again for her support and patience with our varied amounts of French. The ladies in the village bakery were also wonderfully cheerful each morning as we negotiated the language of French bread types. In all our joint family holidays this one got the highest score. As we watched the red sunset from the terrace on Friday, no one wanted to go home. Wishing you a good harvest in 2025 and all the best.

Belle maison, bel endroit dans un excellent emplacement pour nous permettre de revisiter nos endroits préférés dans la région. Le meilleur restaurant sur des kilomètres est La Maison à Tourbes. Merci beaucoup.
Mission accomplished, we came for a week to rest in a family holiday and we are sad to leave. One week was not enough! Thank you for answering our few requests and we love your villa! The A/C is perfect, beds are great. All the games available and even managed to read 2 books! The ice machine, the 3 ovens... All wa perfect! Happy summer. All the best.
Thank you for allowing us to holiday at Château Trieux, it didn't disappoint! What a truly wonderful house and holiday experience we had. After exploring for a few hours on arrival it really felt like home. The children loved the pool, sporting facilities and quad bikes. The floodlit tennis court made for some great fun away from the day time heat. Whilst we loved the space and beautifully appointed rooms. You have a real gem in Château Trieux and the nearby town of Bergerac and many villages and markets as promised didn't disappoint either, simply stunning!! Thank you again and will definitely book for next year.
Notre séjour a été excellent! Une fantastique maison avec beaucoup d'attraits. Nous sommes tous tombés amoureux du Lac Saint-Cassien. Nous avons visité Cannes et Monte-Carlo qui n'étaient pas si loin. Merci pour ces superbes vacances que nous avons tous appréciées.

Wonderful. It felt very safe for the little ones who enjoyed being able to roam free. Very well maintained and everything well thoughout. Perfect set up - a real home from home! We had everything we needed. The pool was a hit with adults and kids alike. The canapés were articularly good and greatly appreciated, they were tailored for a dietary requirements. Briliant week.
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your fantastic home! After a warm welcome we managed to settle down to enjoy all the facilities and the actual location of this beautiful area. I had the great pleasure of spending a fabulous week at this property. An oasis in the center of this charming french town. 3 minutes walk to the town where you find boulangeries selling fresh croissants in the morning; to lovely restaurants scattered around the cobbled back streets and a fabulous weekend market. The surrounding area has much to offer for those keen on exploring Agde, Sete or beautiful Marseillan, to name just a few. The property itself is decorated to the highest standard. You can see it was a labour of love. Stylish and yet homely. The bedrooms beautifully decorated light and airy. Beds so comfortable. The kitchen designed for entertaining. A huge open plan sitting and dining area perfect for a cosy family meal or a dinner party, as we enjoyed on more than one occasion. The outside area perfect for a long day lounging by the pool or chilling in the evening with the bbq going. A totally private setting! What more could one ask for. Great communication with the owner. Nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend this property, if you are looking for a 5 star experience in a stunning location.

Merveilleux séjour dans une belle maison. La maison était très confortable et la piscine était super. Nous avons passé du temps dans les villes/villages voisins. Pézenas, Vias, Béziers et le Cap d'Agde. Le marché du dimanche matin à Besson est incontournable. La région est idéale pour faire du vélo avec tous les villages voisins facilement accessibles. Très tristes de partir. Merci beaucoup.
We enjoyed the house, pool and garden. We took a private boar charter on the canal. We visited restaurants and enjoyed using the 'running track' around the garden.
We've had a fantastic holiday in this superb villa. We had great weather, food and wine! The villa is a really good base for visiting the Languedoc, Occitanie - we went to Carcassonne, Sète, Montpeyroux, Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert amongst other places and all within a short drive. The villa itself is really well equipped and has everything for a family holiday. 2 big supermarkets nearby and Pezanas is stocked full of restaurants and shops. The market on Saturday is amazing and well worth a visit. Thanks for a great holiday and we would thoroughly recommend the villa to others.
Thank you so much for a relaxing week - it was just what we needed! The Loft is truly exceptional and Oscar has loved playing in the garden. Visits to Narbonne, Carcassonne and the Sigean Animal Reserve were great. The highlight for us was the Gouffe de Cabesprine caves - a must see!
Fabulous place! This place is a paradise. We spent a family holiday (including three kids aged 2, 10 and 12) and everyone absolutely loved this place. The villa was very clean and kitchen equipment to the highest standards. Swimming pool where we spent most of the time was simply perfect. But what we enjoyed most was that there was absolutely nobody in sight. We were surrounded by vineyards. Having said that the villa is located only about 20 minutes drive away from the beach and we didn't mind making this trip everyday. But what made is all so very special were the owners who made us feel like home and spoiled us with their delicious wine. Thank you for your hospitality and see you again next week!
En un mot: spectaculaire. Par où commencer pour décrire combien cette maison est magnifique. En un mot : spectaculaire ! Nous avons séjourné dans environ une quarantaine de maisons au fil des ans et peu d'entre elles se sont approchées de ce niveau d'excellence. La maison est magnifique à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur et aucun détail n'a été négligé. Les lits sont très confortables et les draps et les serviettes sont beaux. La cuisine a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour y préparer tous vos repas. Le patio, les jardins et la piscine sont tranquilles et relaxants. Concernant la propreté, la maison est absolument impeccable. Les photos sont très fidèles au site mais ce qui n'est pas visible, c'est la chaleur et la gentillesse avec lesquelles vous serez accueillis lorsque vous rencontrerez les propriétaires. Nous recommandons fortement.
Mas du Château is a perfect mixture or restored historic chateau and very modern high spec decor. Set in the most beautiful landscape with all the privacy needed. Amazing swimming pool and private terrace area is ideal for a large group or a small private family. Multiple entertaining spaces, along with Television and very fast internet, ideal for a group with children. Christophe and his family were very welcoming and always available to help in Person or via the internet/phone. 100% recommended, book asap.
Superbe hébergement dans un endroit fabuleux ! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour – le gîte était tout simplement parfait pour nous. Au calme, avec de grands espaces extérieurs et une belle piscine. Le gîte est très bien équipé et meublé avec goût, avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour loin de chez soi. Mark a été très accueillant et nous a bien conseillés pour nos besoins locaux. Nous avons profité de ses relations pour visiter une incroyable distillerie de cognac/pineau locale et avons terminé la journée en cuisinant au gîte par Reza Mahammad (chef réputé au répertoire culinaire exceptionnel). Ce moment a été d'autant plus agréable lorsque Reza a partagé avec nous l'histoire et les origines des plats que nous avons dégustés – un vrai régal ! Nous recommandons la propriété comme une excellente option pour les couples ou les familles qui recherchent le calme tout en étant à proximité de nombreuses villes et attractions intéressantes.
An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.
Fantastique villa en très bon état ! Très utile et réactif sur quelques questions que nous avions. La piscine est incroyable, agréable et profonde pour les enfants qui pratiquent leur saut !
Nous ne pouvons pas dire suffisamment de bonnes choses sur Les Fumerates ou ses propriétaires. Nous avons adoré la propriété ! Tout dans la villa est bien aménagé. Les propriétaires ont été exceptionnellement serviables et soucieux de répondre à toutes nos questions, préoccupations, etc. Ils sont tous deux très dévoués afin que leurs clients apprécient leur séjour et qu'ils disposent de tout ce dont ils ont besoin, etc. Nous reviendrons certainement dans la région et quand nous le ferons, notre premier choix pour les locations ce sera ici ! Merci pour ce bon début de nos 2 semaines en France !
