We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks, the girls have loved the swimming pool and all the facilities. We spent many relaxing days reading in front of the beautiful views. The house is very comfortable. Nyons, Orange, Avignon, Vaison la romaine were all very picturesque and worth a visit, especially the amazing Roman theatre in Orange. All in all a fabulous trip. We will be back.
Nous avions besoin d'une pause pour décompresser et nous détendre. Nous sommes tombés sur La Charmante Distillerie grâce à une recommandation et elle a dépassé toutes nos attentes. Les enfants étaient loin de leurs appareils électroniques et ont joué à la pétanque, au babyfoot, au badminton et même à des châteaux de sable. Ils se sont ensuite rafraîchis dans la piscine, avec de nombreux jeux pour les divertir. Le plus mémorable, c'est l'accueil ! Mark et Gary sont des hôtes exceptionnels. L'accueil dans leur magnifique maison de vacances était d'une grande authenticité, tout comme leur hospitalité – à la hauteur de nos attentes. Nous y retournerons certainement et avons hâte d'observer les étoiles avec le télescope de la maison dans le ciel nocturne limpide.
We had a wonderful stay at Manoir de Fouilloux, my retired parents and children aged 8 and 11 had a truly relaxing stay with plenty to see and do locally. The house had plenty of space inside and lots of different areas outside to eat and relax. In particular we enjoyed spending time outside in the Moroccan terrace and kitchen and especially the evening when Ian and Hugh cooked for us when we took advantage of this as an extra option. Ian and Hugh were super helpful informing us of the local area which suited all ages so there was plenty to do for everyone. I would recommend hiring a car to explore the beautiful villages. The pool was well used in such hot weather with plenty of space for us all to relax and read as well as splash about with the children. The area was lovely and quiet so we were all able to switch off and spend quality time together as a family, plus with Ian and Hugh nearby we felt we had our own personal concierge service! They also provide a very useful guide which is in the house and also sent before our arrival. There has been so much attention to detail carried out in and outside the house and Ian and Hugh were fantastic with our many questions we had as we loved hearing about the work that went into it. We absolutely loved our time there and our 8 year old is now asking for a dog the same as Oscar! Thank you to Ian and Hugh for giving us such a memorable holiday, we felt truly spoilt staying in such a beautiful and well refurbished traditional house and can't wait to return one day!
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au calme dans votre maison ! Nous sommes allés un jour à Carcassonne en voiture et avons visité cette belle région. La piscine est super, elle va nous manquer !
Nous avons réservé le Château Bellevue pour y installer notre séjour golfique. Avant cela, nous n'avions aucune expérience concrète du Pays basque et avons finalement joué moins de parties de golf que prévu, tant il y avait de choses à faire et à voir ! Nous avons eu la chance exceptionnelle d'être là pendant la Fête de Bayonne, où la ville entière se transforme en une fête en plein air. Côté gastronomie, nous avons apprécié les nombreux restaurants basques, et en particulier les restaurants de poissons du port de Biarritz et de Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Les parcours de golf locaux étaient très variés, mais le point culminant était sans conteste le Golf de Biarritz, un parcours exigeant, avec son terrain époustouflant au bord de la falaise et ses vues imprenables sur le littoral.
You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
Wow! Lucky Herman to own this place. Views, designer environments, beds to die in (obviously not literally). I felt like a Kardashian staying here. Thank you to Barbara for her help and the maintenance team who were very helpful.
Perfect romantic getaway. Maison Meunier is set in the beautiful grounds, next to the old mill, overlooking the lake. The cottage is beautifully furnished and has its own patio and pool. The facilities are superb, the grounds are well manicured, lovely for walks and there is a fabulous games room where you can meet up with other guests for a drink and a chat and maybe a game of pool. A stroll into the village to sample the local fair is a must, the villagers made us very welcome. There are a number of local market towns (bastides) and châteaux close by including Monpazier a lively bastide with many shops and restaurants to enjoy. The owners were really helpful with advice on where to go and what to do, they couldn't do enough for us. Fabulous holiday.
As a group of 7 from age 2 to 62 and having had similar holidays in recent years this has been the best. Wonderfully well equipped with thoughtful advice everywhere. Everybody loved the pool and there are plenty to things to see and do in the area, thanks again.
A very beautiful and cosy apartment, so nice! We had a really nice week in Magalas and Le Paradis Secret! We really enjoyed our stay.
Le château a été un lieu de villégiature fabuleux - une combinaison unique de grandeur et de confort chaleureux. Les installations sont superbes et typiques de la campagne. La propriétaire nous a gracieusement et chaleureusement reçus dans sa maison. Jean-Marie est une merveille - vraiment serviable et rapide pour répondre à toutes les demandes que nous avions. La région a tellement d'histoire tout autour, mais il y en a pour tous les goûts. Des châteaux en abondance partout. Je recommanderais certainement de faire du canoë sur la Dordogne - si vous pouvez gérer la randonnée en canoë depuis Castelnaud, ce serait un voyage incroyable - nous sommes partis de St Cyprien, ce qui était super aussi, mais la vue sur Castelnaud doit être incroyable. Nous avons eu de la chance avec le temps donc les enfants (et les adultes) se sont beaucoup amusés au bord de la piscine. Je vous remercie pour votre hospitalité.
Ma famille y a passé un séjour formidable. Nous avons 2 jeunes enfants (âgés de 1 et 5 ans) et l'appartement était propre, sécurisé, avec des appareils modernes (y compris un lave-linge/sèche-linge), une vue sur l'océan et une belle piscine à débordement sur le toit. Les chambres ont un bon volume, faciles à utiliser, avec contrôle de la température, climatisation et stores occultants. Un lit bébé et une chaise haute étaient disponibles dans l'appartement. Il y a un grand supermarché/magasin de l'autre côté de la rue et l'appartement donne directement sur la promenade de la plage, donc il est facile de se rendre à pied à la marina et aux restaurants de plage. J'espère que nous pourrons revenir bientôt.
Le château et le parc sont magnifiques et bien entretenus. Les prestations sont excellentes. Des vacances fantastiques.
Without a doubt, this is the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we have ever had. Such a beautiful setting with everything we needed - even to keep our 3 boys entertained. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
Our holiday at Villa Rossini was wonderful. The pool, gym, outdoor kitchen and location all made it extra special.
We have had such a lovely week staying here. The house has everything you could need and the pool is so nice. Hugh and Ian have need fantastic hosts and we appreciate very much, the gift of plums and grapes from the garden.

We have visited many properties in France and this is one ofthe loveliest ! Vouvant is a delightful village with its interesting history and vibrant community.The guided walk of the village is recommended as well as a visit to the zoo - great for kids. This was our second visit to Villa Kali. It remains the best of all our summer visits to France. The villa is so well appointed and well placed for easy access to the superb area. It is extremely well looked after by both the owner and her local staff. The provision of everything one needs makes for a very relaxed holiday. We had no hesitation in booking this accommodation again and would not look elsewhere on subsequent visits. Most definitely a 5 from both of us.
From the warm welcome that we received on arrival, to the thorough introduction into the Loft du Vigneron's facilities - which are considerable - and the wealth of advice on the local area, restaurants and places to visit, Karen and Russell did everything imaginable to ensure that we had a really memorable and relaxing holiday. Naturally, we are very sorry to be leaving this morning, but hope to have the good fortune to return again. Every good wish to you in your new venture, which we're sure will be as successful, if not more, than the Loft.
Comme les locataires précédents, nous avons apprécié le calme, la piscine, le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec la jolie vue sur les vignes et la garrigue, les couchers de soleil si différents chaque jour. Nous avons particulièrement été sensibles aux très belles prestations pour cette maison au calme pour se retrouver en famille. La piscine est très grande et avec une vue imprenable sur la nature et les vignes. La région est très belle et les alentours en valent la peine Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et Marie qui vous accueille est très agréable. Christiane, la propriétaire est au petit soin pour que votre séjour se passe au mieux. Les équipements dans la maison que se soit mobiliers ou coin cuisine sont au top.
We have had the most fabulous time staying in the Loft du Vigneron this past week. We have booked through Pure France for four or five years and this place is by far the highest standard of accommodation that we have experienced. Every detail has been catered for. Everything that we needed for the week was at hand. We really enjoyed meeting you both and our kids thought that you were so nice and welcoming, and Kate really appreciated the lovely touch of the pool noodles! We wish you both health, happiness and best wishes for the future, and we really hope to revisit again in the future. Many thanks for everything - you are 'best in class' hosts.
Encore une semaine fantastique ici à la Maison Baleyssagues. Le temps était superbe avec de nombreuses heures heureuses passées dans la piscine. Merci à Frédéric pour son accueil très chaleureux et à son équipe pour avoir rendu la Villa si splendide. Des vacances parfaites.
We've had a great time and we’ve especially enjoyed the pool, as the temperature has barely dropped below 30°C day or night for the week due to the canicule. Our favorites: Best boulangerie: Andralie in Monflanquin, just beyond the Gendarmerie on the road to Villeneuve. There is an Auchan hypermarket just beyond on the same road. Best market: (Sunday) Issigeac. Best night for: Sarlat (Wednesday's), Le Bugue also good (Tuesday's). Best for a visit and potter: Monpazier – old, beautiful and floral. Lots of artisan shops and a long fort (Château Biron). Also, fabulous marché nocturne in Tournon d’Agenais on Friday. We ate from (Gyp?) and enjoyed watching Olympics in cool shady areas.
We had a lovely lazy two weeks by the pool! With the hot weather the air conditioning was very welcoming at night time. We have used Pure France several times over the last 6 years and this villa has definitely been the best equipped and most accurately described. 5 / 5.
We have returned! Even more enjoyable this year, weather and pool fantastic. The villa is close to perfect.
Many thanks for our wonderful week here in your beautiful home and surroundings. We loved every minute with the children spending their time in the pool, playing table tennis and with all the other games (chess, dominoes…) You kindly supplied we couldn’t have asked for more and very much appreciated our welcome pack. What an amazing week! The whole family had a superb time - we thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful home, with everything we needed there! Our family - from the age of 6 to 71 enjoyed all the facilities - the pools, hot tub, table football, darts and of course, table tennis. Thank you so much for your hospitality and use of your “home”. We will be back - but before then I hope you will visit us in Prague.
Cottage du Jardin a été magnifiquement restauré et est très confortable et bien aménagé. Les équipements sont excellents et la piscine est exceptionnelle. Son emplacement est idéal, à proximité de nombreuses attractions et de nombreux excellents restaurants.
