Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely house. We were lucky enough to see the (almost) full moon rising from the perfect spot in the garden on our first night. We loved the house and pool and most of all the beautiful views. To be in a village and yet so quiet is unique. We very much hope to come back.
In June, we stayed for a fortnight at La Picholine. In the middle of the vineyards. Plenty of peace, space and beautiful views. The pool is great and beautiful views there too.
Notre séjour avec des amis à Duras en août 23 était exceptionnel grâce à cette grande maison faite pour des moments de partage. En effet la maison est très spacieuse avec des espaces suffisamment séparés pour que chacun ait des activités différentes. Plusieurs terrasses exposées différemment permettent de profiter de l’extérieur à divers moments de la journée. Nos enfants ont profité autant que nous de la piscine dont le système de sécurité est très rassurant. La maison reste fraîche malgré la chaleur, et sa cuisine bien équipée a permis de vrais moments conviviaux à préparer les repas. Enfin la maison est idéalement située, dans le bourg très sympathique et au pied du magnifique château. Une parenthèse enchantée à partager avec la famille et les amis.
Sur notre liste des choses à faire dans notre vie, nous avons écrit des vacances avec toute la famille qui se compose de 13 personnes. Nous avons choisi de séjourner à la Bastide qui nous a semblé un choix parfait. Nous avions l'espace dont nous avions besoin, beaucoup de chambres, de salles de bain et toilettes. La villa était entièrement équipée. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes mais Thomas, notre hôte, a tout résolu au plus vite. Notre groupe comptait enfants, adolescents et adultes et nous avons tous apprécié notre séjour car nous avions de nombreuses possibilités à côté de la piscine exceptionnelle de la maison. Randonnées dans les environs, pêche dans le lac à proximité, billard, baby-foot, ping-pong. Et bien sûr nous avons beaucoup utilisé les BBQ tout en dégustant les merveilleux vins du domaine. Merci Thomas pour vos efforts pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Fortement recommandé pour de précieuses vacances inoubliables garanties.
Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux ! Le domaine est très spacieux et nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et amical. Le gîte était bien équipé avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le WiFi a été perturbé avant et pendant notre séjour, mais le propriétaire avait déjà organisé une solution alternative, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La piscine était fantastique, avec beaucoup d’accessoires à disposition, et nous avons également profité de la salle de sport. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment offert des œufs frais et de délicieuses courgettes charnues – un vrai régal ! Leur jeune chien bouvier bernois est absolument adorable, même s’il est encore en apprentissage et dans cette phase espiègle d’adolescence. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour charmant, et nous serions ravis de revenir un jour.

Absolutely stunning. We visited the house last summer and had an absolutely amazing time. The house is stunning with views over to Grasse and down toward Cannes. As a family of 5 (children 8, 5 and 12 months), it had everything we needed including a god sized pool and the interiors of the house are beautiful. It is a short drive to the local supermarket and amenities and only 20 minutes drive to the beaches of Cannes and Antibes. Nearby Mougins and Grasse provide an abundance of restaurants. A car is a must as the house is accessed up a steep road but views are spectacular. We can't wait to visit again this summer.

Better than it looks in the photos. We are a fussy family from Guildford - this villa ticked all our boxes and more. Comfy beds always a must. Seillans is a picture postcard village. Back soon...

We've had a wonderful week here in such an amazing, spacious house. We have enjoyed being near to Najac, and being able to walk there for lunch and exploring, especially the castle. The views at breakfast with the clouds are quite spectacular. Today we visited the alpaca farm and really enjoyed our tour round the various fields of alpacas. The children particularly enjoyed feeding them. The swimming pool has been a real highlight and wonderful weather an added bonus. Many thanks to Henrietta for her welcome and amazing suggestions and all the help.
Thanks for a lovely week in your fabulous holiday house, it was very kind of you to let us arrive early so we could easily visit the market. It was quite entertaining seeing the gendarmes trying to organise the market day traffic (and the usual bonkers French parking!) We have stayed in quite a few properties in the South of France but not managed to find somewhere that was both walking distance to a nice town and a high spec house. Yours certainly ticked both of those boxes. Especially with the weather not being on our side, we spent a lot of time in the house and really appreciated all of the luxury living area and kitchen features. The kids loved the pool (and it did stay at 26 degrees!), so we did manage to venture in almost every day, much to the amazement of some of the locals! Thanks also for all of the information and recommendations that you and Lisa sent through before and during our stay. It was very much appreciated and hugely helpful.

Vous avez mangé des plats délicieux, bu trop de vin et nagé toute la journée dans votre piscine. Nous espérons revenir un jour.
We had a fantastic week here, the weather was very good - sunny every day, except one. Got up to 28 degrees. Used the pool everyday, bets way to keep cool. We thought the house was very good, had everything you would want. The welcome hamper we had was very good. The best we have ever had, we must have stayed at 20 French houses over the past 10 years but never seen so much food provided. We didn't do out too much as we had been to area before preferred to be by the pool anyway. We did however go to the Hennessey distillery at Cognac, enjoyed the tour 18 euros each. Thought Cognac was a lovely town. So all in all, had a good vacation, would come back again. Thank soo Phil and Ann for making the house so clear and tidy, we didn't have any problems with anything in the house, which must be a first! All the best.
Nous prenons nos vacances en France toutes régions confondues depuis 12 ans. Ce gîte est dans les deux premiers. Les installations et l'emplacement sont idéaux. Nous avons passé des vacances très reposantes. Merci beaucoup. Le meilleur temps de tous les temps !
A fantastic stay in a beautiful villa! Whilst parts of France may lay dormant, this region has tons of activities to offer Canoeing, walking tours of picturesque Pezanas, renting bikes at Lac du Saligou and if you're slightly odd a cracking gym 'area gym' just down the road.

A lovely 2nd week of our 2025 French trip here in The Piglet Barn. More relaxing than planned due to lovely high temperatures ! But where better to chill out than in the garden and pool. Saturday music evening and pizza man were great fun. And our hosts... well, thank you Annie and John for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality.

Pendant notre séjour, nous avons beaucoup apprécié L'abbaye de Fontevraud - si belle et merveilleuse à explorer pour nous et nos enfants, Chinon - un tel caractère, même sous la pluie, l'atout doux du vin Coteaux du Layon (c'est magnifique, merci ), Azay le Rideau - un si beau village, de nombreuses boutiques intéressantes, des rues joliment présentées, Mona Pizza à Saumur, malgré le nom les pizzas (four à bois) étaient incroyables ! L'église de Cunault - magnifique 14ème siècle, les jardins du château de Villandry - les jardins étaient magnifiques, Montreuil ville basse - un charmant village, un magnifique château au centre et un grand atelier de poterie, la piscine et le jardin ! Apprécié par nous tous tous les jours. Le gîte était un vrai chez-soi, un vrai plaisir d'y séjourner. Nous espérons y revenir un jour !

We’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks, the girls have loved the swimming pool and all the facilities. We spent many relaxing days reading in front of the beautiful views. The house is very comfortable. Nyons, Orange, Avignon, Vaison la romaine were all very picturesque and worth a visit, especially the amazing Roman theatre in Orange. All in all a fabulous trip. We will be back.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Maison Charvin, ayant apprécié la tranquillité dans la magnifique cour-jardin et les excursions à Carcassonne et Lagrasse. La maison est merveilleuse et très bien équipée. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Mille mercis.
The house and the grounds were fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc. comfortable. The kids loved the swings, etc + the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. Catering service was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Very friendly service, nothing was too much to ask. The owners are never on top of us but there if needed. Much appreciated. Fantastic holiday, thank you.
