À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par les sympathiques propriétaires. La piscine était chauffée à une température parfaite et la piscine était superbement isolée. Les jardins bien entretenus offraient pétanque, badminton et croquet, avec de nombreuses espèces d'arbres, qui offraient des endroits ombragés recherchés et toujours un endroit pour voir les couchers de soleil attendus. Le cadre est magnifique et paisible, les commerces locaux dans les villages sont à une courte distance en voiture et les grandes villes offrant des hypermarchés à environ 20 minutes en voiture. Dans l'ensemble, une grande maison, une piscine et un jardin bien situés pour découvrir les sites touristiques locaux et les paysages de la Dordogne.
Nous avons tous adoré notre séjour chez vous, le château est vraiment magnifique. Merci.
Une villa très bien située, facilement accessible et confortable, proche de Cannes, des plages et des montagnes. Endroit calme, grande piscine et belle salle de sport.
A true oasis to return to everyday. Our first villa holiday as a family and we absolutely loved it.
We travelled to this beautiful villa with friends for 6 nights and our stay was truly wonderful. We were fortunate with the weather most days so managed to enjoy some of the many amenities the villa has to offer including swimming and sunbathing by the pool, playing croquet and pétanque! We also ate outside on the veranda every day, enjoying the BBQ and the good weather. The villa had so much to offer. We had two days when the weather was not so good and were kept busy by the games rooms downstairs – we made great use of the pool table and projector for playing music, movies and watching sports, it really was a lifesaver on one particularly cloudy day. On arrival the villa was clean and the villa handbook was most helpful to support us settling in, additionally the host was quick to respond and always willing to help with our queries. The villa offers great privacy with peaceful surroundings and allowed us to relax away from others. The village is a short walk away and we enjoyed lunch there on our final day at the restaurant which is also worth a try. On specific days there were gourmet food trucks that stopped by in the village offering various sweet and savoury items – we tried the crepes which were lovely and a nice treat after an evening walk around the river and church in lovely Buzet. We loved everything about the place, I would highly recommend this to both friend groups and families.
Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite dans cette magnifique maison. Autant nous avons adoré sortir et nous promener, autant nous avons adoré passer des journées paresseuses autour de la piscine - cela a été un véritable défi de la laisser ! Nous y sommes parvenus à quelques reprises et entre nous, les temps forts ont été de vraies balades à vélo sur des routes de campagne tranquilles, l'exploration de belles petites villes aux alentours, la visite incontournable d'un château (Chenonceau est un must - arrivez tôt) et bien sûr, le simple fait d'être en France. Merci de nous avoir permis d'entrer dans votre maison très spéciale - vous êtes des hôtes charmants et j'espère que nos chemins se croiseront à nouveau à l'avenir. Merci beaucoup!
We've been lucky enough to stay at Manoir de Fouilloux on two separate occasions and have loved our stay both times. The house has been decorated and equipped to an extremely high standard. The property is blessed with beautiful views and a number of perfectly maintained gardens, ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine, either on the terrace or in the Moroccan courtyard and den or by the swimming pool. It is also within a short distance of picturesque towns and châteaux. If you fancy some wine tasting St Emilion is close by as are the vineyards of Bergerac or maybe a visit to a local food market in Riberac. We are certainly planning to stay again! A wonderful place to relax

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans votre maison, qui est comme une "maison loin de chez nous". La maison est joliment décorée au style français, et le «jardin» avec les roses vibrantes la complète tout en splendeur. La région et l'emplacement sont également idéaux, étant à l'écart mais tout en restant pratique. Malheureusement, le temps était contre nous, ce qui a rendu la maison encore plus importante ! La balançoire dans le jardin a été un grand succès auprès de notre fille aînée.
You don't need us to tell you what a beautiful house this is and the bath with a view indeed. We didn't eat out much as the super markets were so convenient and the kitchen well equipped. We arrived in a heat wave, not complaining though! It was amazing and the wonderful pool helped us cool off. The children took their push bikes over the back of the vineyards to the cycle path and biked into Nyons, we also walked it which was most pleasant. As regards places of interest, we took ideas from the house book as it was too hot to visit the tourist information centre during opening hours and most of our exploring was done in the evenings.
We had a wonderful time, not just about the beauty of France, but also of your lovely house, which is done in good taste, to be enjoyed by us. Pete, thank you for your guidance and help! Our stay here will be part of our memories.

We had a pleasure of spending three days at La Petite Maison Générille and the biggest dissatisfaction with our stay is that it was just too short! La Petite Maison Générille is one of those rare places where you could see yourself easily spending an entire summer. We are definitely coming back! Where do I start... first of all, the place is immaculately clean and well-stocked: there was literally nothing that we needed and it wasn't available (and trust me we are very picky when it comes to holiday rentals). The kitchen has everything a family of four could possibly need; there are lots of wonderful new fluffy towels; the mattresses are comfortable and pillows are perfect; shower pressure was better than at our home. There's a big clean heated pool and a terrace with the most picturesque view that you just want to frame in your memory forever... And of course - the wonderful hosts! they know the area and set us up for a brilliant three-day programme that only whetted our appetites for coming back to Dordogne again and again. Thank you VERY much for a fabulous holiday! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Le lit nous a offert le meilleur sommeil de notre vie. Nous voulions juste vous écrire et vous remercier tous les deux d'avoir partagé votre belle maison à Saint Paul de Vence. Notre semaine a été magique et l'appartement avec piscine était parfait pour s'y détendre et se relaxer. Le lit nous a offert le meilleur sommeil de notre vie (nous avons même décidé d'acheter lemême !). Nous réserverons l'année prochaine, mais nous voulions vous faire savoir à quel point nous avons apprécié notre séjour.
“Nice villa within easy access (20 min saunter) to the city centre. Pretty pool area and nice pool, with mature trees and bushes giving good shelter if the wind picks up. Very private with good access to sun from late-morning. Supermarkets within very easy walking distance.
We had the most wonderful ‘family and friends ‘gathering at La Petite Maison Générille. The hosts were most wonderful and nothing was too much trouble . They told us of markets, restaurants, gardens and vineyards… all were wonderful. The houses are spacious and well equipped the grounds and gardens perfect and the salt water pool... bliss. We had children and tiny grandchildren with us and it was the perfect base to explore the wonderful villages such as Sarlat with its night market and Domme . We went canoeing and swam in the river, visited nearby châteaux and ended our week at a wonderful Bricante taking a few French antiques home… Altogether a fabulous week I only wish we had stayed longer ! We look forward to returning to this very special place with wonderful hosts who were so kind and helpful.
An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.
A well equipped and maintained property in a beautifully quiet, relaxing location. Thank you for your warm welcome and the various traets. We enjoyed exploring the local area and learning about its significant history.
Juste pour dire que nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour ici. Vous avez la plus belle demeure et dans un endroit merveilleux! Nous n'avons quitté la maison que deux fois, sauf pour acheter de la nourriture. Une fois pour aller au Château Bridoire (une bonne recommandation, merci) et au Château Montbazillac et une seconde fois aujourd'hui pour aller dans un parc aquatique. Merci beaucoup!
Excellent séjour de vacances, villa magnifique, piscine spacieuse, temps fantastique. Lisbeth, une hôte très serviable, rien de trop problématique, toujours contactée par téléphone, (pour confirmer le départ). We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

Nous pouvons recommander les produits laitiers de l'agriculteur local et l'une de nos visites préférées aura été Chinon. Nous avons aussi découvert le vin de Savennières qui est un vrai régal. Nous aimerions revenir bientôt!
Nous avons passé deux semaines merveilleuses à Sarlat. Sarlat et ses environs ont beaucoup à offrir. Nous avons apprécié les marchés locaux, une excursion au Château des Milandes et bien sûr une descente en canoë sur la Dordogne. L'emplacement de la maison est incroyable, à seulement quelques minutes à pied du centre. La première semaine de notre séjour, la température était de 30 degrés et la piscine était un véritable régal - un véritable point fort pour nous, nous avons passé de nombreuses heures à nous détendre et à profiter du beau temps. La maison elle-même était super et a répondu à tous nos besoins pour deux semaines de vacances. Merci Jackie pour toute ton aide. Nous reviendrons bientôt.
We booked the Manoir de Monflanquin in Oct 2020. It was between lockdowns and it was a very weird and scary time for us as a family. We were so looking forward to the holiday. We then postponed it due to the travel restrictions in 2021, we just didn’t want to risk it. It’s the longest time we’ve ever waited for a holiday. Our holiday in Monflanquin was the best holiday we’ve ever had and we’ve been on some great ones! The house was elegant but robust enough to cope with the 9 of us. It was better than the photos we’d been pouring over for two years. We never got used to the views, the space and beauty of the place. The pool, garden, hammocks, table tennis, badminton net and pool table kept us fully entertained. The kitchen was such a lovely place to be and so delightfully organised. We all took it in turns to cook and had gorgeous evenings outside chatting and eating at the tables out front. The weather was incredible - we had days of glorious sunshine and then spectacular electrical storms. When it rained we just wandered into Monflanquin, set up camp in a pretty cafe and played cards. The view of Monflanquin from the garden always made me pause and remember how lucky we were. The views of the house as we strolled round the fields also gave us joy. It sat so firmly and proudly on its plot. Please thank the owners for providing such a lovely place for us to all get together. It was perfect. Thank you from us all.

We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful house. You have made everything so comfortable and easy and it was such a joy to stay there. The location was perfect, such a peaceful spot with stunning views, in a pretty village. It exceeded all of our expectations. The region is so interesting too. We loved it all but especially the salt water swimming pool and the way you have landscaped the whole outside areas. We spent as much time as we could relaxing there. I hope we can return for another holiday soon! Thank you from us all. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. It really was perfect.
An excellent villa - with everything one could need including a good selection of herbs in the garden for those who enjoy cooking. Pézenas is a lovely place - lovely potteries (some going home with us) good restaurants and bars - spoilt for choice. Delight to discover that the description is perfect. All in all a 5 star holiday.
