We booked Château Velouse as we love the Loire region. Definitely not disappointed... the welcome from the hosts Claire and Phil was lovely, the rooms were huge in size and height, great ensuites, it can hold 16 adults plus 4 children. Loads of space in the extensive grounds which are walled and fenced, we felt very secure and great for children and our dog to explore. The large swimming pool was fantastic and spent a lot of time there lounging on luxury sun beds under the umbrellas (30C plus during our stay). We had some wonderful evening meals during our stay either outside patio area which seated us all with lovely lighting or inside in the huge dining room. As a group of family and friends we took turns to cook which was great fun and the kitchen is very well equipped to cater for a large group. We had trips out to Bourges, Sancerre and a day on a local golf course, all recommended

Beautiful accommodation with so much attention to detail! We were all very amazed by the cleanliness and its amenities. We have never been to such a beautiful place before. We were a group of 6 people. On the terrace you have a beautiful view and there is a waterfall nearby. Sophie is a very lovely and helpful person. We were already very convinced of the pictures of the villa, in reality it was even more beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was no lack of a device or spice. Very very hygienic everything! I would be happy to come back.
Thanks for a very enjoyable stay. We were certainly lucky with the weather and enjoyed the use of both the table tennis and the pool. A la prochaine!
Gorgeous. Very well maintained, yet still updated with modern amenities. All in all, an amazing stay and trip and we'd recommend Château Charente to anyone touring the area.

First of all, the house was everything we hoped it would be. The facilities inside were excellent and the air conditioning a huge plus especially at night time. The back garden area is superb and met all needs whether you wanted sun, shade, pool, cooking, dining. The area itself has so many varying attractions to meet all needs and ages. Some highlights for us were kayaking in Saint Guilhem de Desert, canyoning in the Gorges d'Heric and this was brilliant. Lazy beach days in Sète and Marseillan, visiting the vineyards at Seignourie de Peyrat (just out the Roujan road) and chill out days by the pool. Pèzenas is a wonderful town and the market on Saturday is a must and favourite restaurants were La Ripalle and Chez Paul. Excellent holiday and the house and its location facilitated this. Thanks.
Tout à la propriété était mieux que prévu. Les chambres étaient grandes, propres et merveilleusement décorées. Les lits et les draps étaient de premier choix. La cuisine et les pièces de vie étaient toutes bien aménagés et disposaient de tout ce dont vous auriez pu avoir besoin. La buanderie disposait de 2 lave/sèche-linge ! La piscine d'eau salée était magnifique avec de nombreux jouets de piscine, table de ping-pong, etc. La région était magnifique, parfaite pour les vélos électriques que nous avons loués et nous avons apprécié les charmants villages à quelques minutes en voiture : Cotignac, La Celle et bien d'autres. Thomas, le concierge, était serviable et s'est occupé de nos excursions. La propriété est très privée avec une splendide vue sur les montagnes et les vignobles. Bien entendu le vignoble propose des dégustations de vins et des visites de sa cave. Nous étions 11 membres de famille qui n'auraient pas pu passer de meilleures vacances. Tout dans les villas est 5 étoiles (ou 3 Michelin !)

What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. We have absolutely loved staying here. It's a stunning place - both inside and out. We enjoyed cooking meals in the excellent kitchen, eating on the terrace and had great times pool-side. This was a memorable holiday for us and our adult children - a very special time together for us all. Thank you both for everything you have done to make this happen. We would so love to come back.
We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.
Fabuleux séjour aux Fumerates. La piscine est de "très haut de gamme". Villa au calme, située à flanc de colline. À quelques minutes à pied de Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Tout est exactement comme décrit. Grandement recommandé.
Une belle maison agréable et très bien équipée. Jardin et piscine bien entretenus. Nous n'oublierons pas non plus cette belle colline et cette merveilleuse région. Pour ne pas parler du mémorable match de ping-pong et du babyfoot!
La situation de la résidence au sein du domaine avec le relief environnant est évidemment exceptionnelle et procure un calme rare. L’agencement de la résidence permet une vie très agréable et détendue pour un rassemblement familial d’une quinzaine de personnes ; l’aménagement des salles d’eau est parfait. La piscine avec son poolhouse est également largement dimensionnée ; cet équipement est complété par une salle de sport et un sauna. La conception de la cuisine permet d’assurer les repas journaliers d’une quinzaine de personne avec facilité (2 lave-vaisselles, 2 réfrigérateurs). La buanderie permet d’assurer une gestion du linge efficace. Les deux barbecues extérieurs ainsi que la cuisine du pool house permettent facilement d’assurer des repas avec des invités. Le fonctionnement est de plus rendu très agréable évidement par le service de ménage et la veille discrète mais efficace du responsable du site et du personnel technique qui l’entoure (maintenance de la piscine durant la nuit par exemple). En conclusion une location exceptionnelle qui justifie son prix.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay. You have made the place very comfortable and welcoming and so safe for children. So many interesting things to discover in the region to. In one word it has been the 'perfect' holiday for the whole family (10 of us!). We do hope to return, 'donc je vous dis à bientôt et mille mercis'.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour au Mas Saint-Martial. Merci pour votre accueil très agréable et chaleureux. La maison et le parc sont magnifiques et nous avons apprécié la piscine, le badminton, le ping-pong et la pétanque. Nous avons apprécié nous détendre au bord de la piscine dans un environnement calme et paisible. Brantôme est une très jolie ville au bord de la rivière. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne est également un endroit magnifique à visiter, avec sa remarquable église monolithique souterraine. Bergerac vaut le détour pour ses bâtiments à colombages. Un séjour fantastique, merci.

Fantastique villa en très bon état ! Très utile et réactif sur quelques questions que nous avions. La piscine est incroyable, agréable et profonde pour les enfants qui pratiquent leur saut !
Un séjour dans un cottage impeccable avec petit jardin devant la maison et très grande piscine, attenant à la magnifique maison historique des propriétaires. Des hôtes charmants, très serviables en cas de besoin, mais par ailleurs discrets. Une région charmante avec beaucoup de choses à faire et à visiter. Je le recommande vivement pour des vacances reposantes.
“Nice villa within easy access (20 min saunter) to the city centre. Pretty pool area and nice pool, with mature trees and bushes giving good shelter if the wind picks up. Very private with good access to sun from late-morning. Supermarkets within very easy walking distance.
Lovely villa, boys enjoyed the pool and the garden! Had great trips to Montpellier and Carcassonne. Visit Pézenas on a Wednesday evening and visit all of the artisans stores! For beaches the long stretch between Sète and Agde is very quiet.
We have loved staying in your beautiful and well-planned house, a real home from home. We have been three generations; age range from 8 to 64 and it worked so well for us all. Thank you very much.

Nous avons apprécié la belle nature, les beaux sites à proximité et la piscine rafraîchissante. La maison est très bien équipée et offre une vue des plus incroyables ! Thank you for letting us stay at this lovely stylish villa, one of the best we have ever stayed at. So well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Nardia recommended ‘Le Grand Frais’ supermarket at Carcassonne where we were able to buy some wonderful fresh produce on arrival and which saw us through the week. An absolutely fantastic place! Our week went so incredibly quickly. It is our second time in the Carcassonne area, but still so much to do and see. This time we discovered the Gorges de Galamus and the labyrinths at Nebias. Amazing! Short treks around the beautiful Villelongue were also so nice. We loved the compost recycling bin at the end of the commune. Very green! Thanks to Mike for sorting the awning for us on a very windy Sunday. Hope to be back!
We stayed for one week and we cannot wait to go again. When we arrived we were surprised how spacious and homely the villa was and it has amazing views. It is wonderfully located about 5- 10 minutes walk from the centre of Callas which is a typical Provençal village. We really enjoyed walking there every morning to buys our bread and croissants for breakfast. There are also some very good restaurants in Callas. The pool is lovely and we even swam every day in May. We ate in the garden and it is wonderfully quiet and tranquil. The region is full of breathtaking views and there is loads to see and do. We went to the Gorge du Verdon (Europe's Grand Canyon) and the beach at Saint Raphael and Juan les Pins. We had a really brill holiday and hope to return.
Piscine incroyable et lits extrêmement confortables ! Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre court séjour dans votre magnifique villa, ce n'était certainement pas assez long ! Nous avons tout aimé, l'emplacement, les vues spectaculaires, la piscine incroyable et les lits extrêmement confortables ! L'ensemble était impeccablement présenté et vous nous avez très bien accueillis ! Nous avons certainement apprécié la bouteille à notre arrivée après le voyage que nous avions effectué ! Nous serions ravis de revenir dans un avenir pas trop lointain.
