Notre famille de 10 personnes a séjourné ici pendant une semaine et a adoré chaque instant. L'attention portée aux détails dans le château était merveilleuse. Tout ce dont nous aurions pu avoir besoin était fourni. Philippe et Frédérique étaient les hôtes les plus merveilleux. Nous recommandons vivement le Château de Marquisat !
At Les Oliviers du Sud we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!
Lors de notre premier séjour en Dordogne, nous avons trouvé la Sainte Trinité du voyage : une propriété parfaite, des hôtes exceptionnels et un emplacement exceptionnel. Les propriétaires ont magnifiquement rénové la propriété en alliant architecture traditionnelle de Dordogne et décoration intérieure contemporaine, préservant ainsi le caractère de la propriété tout en offrant le confort moderne. Le gîte bénéficie d'un emplacement rural isolé et d'un accès facile (5 minutes à pied) aux deux restaurants, à la boutique et au bar de l'hôtel de Thonac. De même, la route principale qui traverse Thonac vous mène à travers la pittoresque vallée de la Vézère, avec Montignac et notre ville préférée, Saint-Léon, à seulement quelques minutes en voiture. Les villes médiévales de Sarlat, Beynac et Domme sont un peu plus éloignées, mais restent faciles d'accès. Grottes pour le canoë, troglodytes pour la randonnée et une multitude de restaurants et de bars sont facilement accessibles depuis Thonac. Vous pouvez vraiment passer toutes sortes de vacances depuis cette propriété. C'est magnifique !
La maison est magnifique et se prête à des moments de partage parfait. Son côté cosy, son équipement très complet nous invitent à profiter de chaque instant. Les chambres offrent indépendance et grand confort. Toute la famille a adoré. La vue est magnifique à toute heure et la terrasse devient un pur bonheur au premier rayon de soleil. Les environs n'ont rien à envier à la Toscane et cette douceur de vivre ! Sandie et David ont été très sympathiques et ont répondu à toutes nos attentes. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Probablement les meilleures vacances que nous ayons eues. Nous avons appris à nos garçons à plonger, pêcher et à se relaxer complètement. Nous avons bien profité de la gastronomie française et du vin aussi.
Nos vacances à La Charmante Distillerie ont été absolument superbes ! Mark et Gary ont été des hôtes exceptionnels et ont rendu notre expérience inoubliable, de la réservation jusqu'à notre départ ! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter, car c'est de loin le meilleur endroit où nous ayons séjourné. L'attention portée aux détails était exceptionnelle et nous avons été très à l'aise du début à la fin. Ils ont tout mis en œuvre pour que cette villa de vacances soit incroyable et ils ont fait tout leur possible pour nous satisfaire. C'est un 5 étoiles et plus à tous points de vue. Une magnifique villa dans un endroit calme avec tant de choses à découvrir. Merci Mark et Gary d'avoir fait de nos vacances en famille un moment inoubliable, et nous reviendrons bientôt pour en profiter à nouveau !

Beautiful and secluded. Beautiful, modern, spacious house with massive terrace/patio and nice pool. Perfect to chill out or use as a base to explore the Côte d'Azur!
For the last 10 years, a whole group of friends and now growing amount of children have been going on holidays. We found Mas de la Rivière by chance by doing a search for 'a big house to rent in France'. Well the house is huge! We were so pleased and extremely surprised to see how much space they were when we arrived. The owners were away but we were greeted buy lovely girl where everything was and how everything worked. The house is child friendly with a huge swimming pool (with a slide). A huge trampoline, climbing frame / slide / swings and table tennis. There is enough bikes for all the kids to ride around the gardens and woods around the property are vast. We were told to help ourselves to their fruit and vegetables. The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of child friendly stuff like cups and plates etc. The rooms all had ensuite bathrooms and were extremely comfortable with good mattresses and fans in all the rooms. Mid week the lovely cleaners came and changed all the bedding and towels and cleaned all the bathrooms. The house has Wi-Fi throughout with meant that some of us could work if needed. And of course browse Facebook and Instagram.
Another restful holiday in this little haven. Visited some lovely villages and ate wonderful food. The weather was kind - most days over 28° (and England had rain!) Warm memories to survive the British winter! Thank you again.
Notre immense gratitude pour avoir partagé la magie ce site fantastique et un aperçu de votre quotidien. Vous êtes les hôtes les plus charmants, prévenants et généreux. Vous nous avez fait nous sentir comme à la maison dès notre arrivée et tellement confortables et bienvenus tout le ong du séjour. Merci pour cela! Le Manoir est un pur trésor et ce fut pour nous un régal d'apprendre comment vous l'avez façonné et lui avez rendu sa splendeur. Nous nous souviendrons tout particulièrement d'avoir été gâtés avec la fantastique cuisine de Bruce (asperges à la Bruce et confit de canard chaudement recommandés!) et les délicieux desserts de Steve. À grande cuisine, grande ambiance! La semaine s'est trop vite écoulée et nous commençons donc à penser au retour, on en redemande encore! Un grand merci.

We have had a lovely relaxing weeknight at the castle. Wine tasting at the Chateau Grand Pierre. Night market in the village. Butchers and boulangerie I the village both excellent. Pleasant setting for pizza intent little square. House lovely. Setting on outskirts of the village was perfect for us. Thank you for sharing the home grown tomatoes from the garden.
Many thanks for our wonderful week here in your beautiful home and surroundings. We loved every minute with the children spending their time in the pool, playing table tennis and with all the other games (chess, dominoes…) You kindly supplied we couldn’t have asked for more and very much appreciated our welcome pack. We are all hoping to repeat this special holiday here.
Thank you both for a fabulous week. The Loft du Vigneron is superb and so well fitted out. We have never stayed in such a stylish and immaculate property. You were so welcoming and helpful with all your tips and recommendations and we very much enjoyed your company too. Wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us stay at your incredible house. How lucky you are to have that place - from the family photos, it looks like you have a lot of great memories from years gone by. We had a very relaxing time hanging out with our family at the house and thoroughly enjoyed pottering around the French countryside. It was just what the doctor ordered! Patrick and Jayne were also very helpful throughout our stay so please do thank them for their amazing hospitality
Quelle belle maison bien aménagée dans un endroit magnifique. Malgré un peu de pluie, nos invités et nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour de deux semaines. Merci aux propriétaires qui ont été des hôtes parfaits - serviables, sympathiques et disponibles en cas de besoin, sans empiéter d'un pouce sur notre intimité. Nous n'aurions pas pu demander mieux, ni à Pure France ni au Domaine de Nérige. Vous avez conçu la maison de vacances parfaite et nous et nos invités aurions été heureux de pouvoir rester plus longtemps, beaucoup plus longtemps. Jusqu'à ce que nous nous réunissons à nouveau, meilleurs vœux. xx
I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
Beautiful house, beautiful setting and wonderful location! We’ve had an amazing two weeks here and have loved both days here around the pool and some day trips out - Le Franqui beach, Carcassonne and our boys particularly enjoyed Lac’cro Park and the dinosaur museum at Esperaza. Thanks to Nathalie and Mike for always being on hand to help and answer any questions and for being so welcoming. We don’t want to leave!
Belle maison avec piscine, agréable et privée, mais seulement à quelques pas du centre de Sarlat. La maison est très bien équipée et confortable pour les jours où le temps n'est pas au beau fixe ! Les environs ont tellement à offrir. Nous reviendrons. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances en famille dans votre belle maison. Nous reviendrons certainement. Soleil, rivière, piscine, nourriture, canoës ! Que demander de plus... Oh et du vin !
Aussi jolie de jour et encore plus de nuit, ce fut le lieu le plus paisible où je suis allée! L'endroit est magnifique et c'est une maison très spéciale.
Nous avons passé une agréable quinzaine ici à Bessan. La maison était confortable et paisible. Le temps a été magnifique pendant tout notre séjour, contrairement au Royaume-Uni ! Nous avons apprécié les villes voisines, notamment Agde. Nous nous souviendrons de ces vacances et ne voulons pas rentrer à la maison cet après-midi. Merci beaucoup.
