Our week in your beautiful home has gone far too quickly. We have really enjoyed the era and explored Uzes and its restaurants. There is still so much to do and we hope to be back. Many thanks for your welcome and discreet hospitality. The tortoises were a great distraction!

It's been such a privilege to stay in your beautiful home. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy it. We enjoyed experiencing the art, the atmosphere, the views and the comfort. We really appreciated your very generous gift of wine and provisions. The village is lively and we have made good use of all it has to offer. terrific choice of the alimentation, delightful terrace and delicious food at the Bar de Prores and a timely haivent at Tiffany's Satin. We recommend a trip to Uzes, Nîmes and Avignon and had a delicious lunch on the banks of the Gardon at Colias on the way to the Pont du Gard. Also, do try the real wine from La Grappe d'Or in the village.
Quel plaisir nous avons eu de passer une semaine avec du soleil tout plein, dans votre magnifique villa ! Quatre adultes, huit enfants... et chacun y a trouvé son bonheur. Belle maison, superbe jardin, piscine extra !!! Nous en avons profité un maximum. Merci pour votre gentillesse et votre disponibilité. Vous êtes vraiment très serviable et sympathique. We have been visiting France on a regular basis for very many years. In more recent times we have been searching for a place that we might return to, and return to; a home away from home. We need look no more. The Loft is beautiful and a testament to great care and wonderful taste. The garden is inspirational, Mack and Mabel are a delight and Rieux is just what we had hoped for. Above all we think that we have been fortunate in meeting such kind and wonderful hosts who we now regard as friends. In summary our whole experience has been truly exceptional.
Vous pouvez toujours continuer à rechercher d'autres maisons de vacances dans le sud de la France, mais cela n'en vaut pas la peine. Merci aux propriétaires pour deux semaines de vacances parfaites dans leur charmante maison, où rien ne manque.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty and tranquility of the place. With its origins dating back to the 13th century, the château has been lovingly restored with modern comforts, making it feel both grand and welcoming. The spacious interiors, well-equipped kitchen, and multiple lounges gave us room to relax while the children played safely. The setting is stunning; panoramic views of rolling hills, vineyards, and pure countryside bliss. It felt wonderfully remote and peaceful, yet we were still close enough to explore local villages and markets when we wanted a little outing. Limoux was right on the doorstep (12 minutes by car) with a local market, boulangeries, patisseries and Supermarchés. A Special Thanks to Quentin, the owner, who was absolutely charming. He made us feel genuinely welcome and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including fresh pastries on our first morning. His passion for the château and its history really added to the experience, it’s clear he’s poured his heart into the place. The only thing we could fault was the weather which was out of our control! It meant that the pool, which wasn't heated, was slightly 'fresh' but still bearable!
We really loved the outside spaces and swimming pool and the children enjoyed the outdoor toys. Really fabulous catering. Such a perfect location for a multi-generational trip which we'll all remember for years to come. Thank you so much.
My family and I had a fabulous time during our week in France. It really was exactly what we were looking for and expecting.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié les promenades que nous avons faites et je vous suis reconnaissante d'avoir pris le temps de nous montrer vos recommandations, ce que vous n'aviez pas nécessairement à faire. C'était tellement relaxant et la vue était magnifique. Je recommanderai cette maison à mes amis et à ma famille. Camirout est un séjour absolument incontournable ! Merci encore pour ce super séjour ! We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
What a gorgeous week we've had here ! Annie and John have been so welcoming - inviting us for a much-needed glass of wine on our arrival. Not to mention all the helpgul local knowledge and information. We have loved the pool, sunshine and glorious garden. We would recommend the lovely Piglet Barn and Annie and John especially. Thank you for our memorable time here.
Pete was a great host and made us all feel really welcome from the start. We made full use of the wonderful pool. Ella (6) learnt to swim without armbands by the end of our week and Dhilan (4) spent more time in the water than anyone. We had a slow-paced week which suited us perfectly, but did enjoy Chateau Castelnaud with the kids and market day in Monflanquin, especially the Loubet seller.
WOW! What a holiday! The Loft is absolutely beautiful and we’ve all had the most wonderful time. In fact, the Loft, pool and gardens are so incredible we’ve spent most days swimming, reading and lounging by the pool! Playing boules has been fun and meeting you both, and Mack and Mabel too. We’d love to come back and revisit the Loft - it’s been fantastic! A big ‘Thank You’!

Endroit fantastique. Paix et tranquillité et vue magnifique depuis le balcon. Proximité d’une plage privée. Cuisine parfaitement équipée, grand séjour. Je le recommande fortement à tout le monde. Et bien sûr, le merveilleux hôte Ben. Bien sûr, je dois aussi ajouter la situation entre Monaco et Nice. Inoubliable, merci !
Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans le logement. Nous avons pu profiter pleinement de la piscine et de l'espace extérieur. Les équipements correspondaient aux photos et tout était de qualité supérieure. Je recommande la villa à tous Plage, ville et sites touristiques se trouvent tous dans un rayon de 10 minutes. Nous tenons particulièrement à remercier Marie Christin pour son accueil.
Heatwaves, lizards, buzzards, owls, thunderstorms, bakery, wine, wine, wine and cheese. Fabulous house beautifully converted, so French, so homely. We do not want to leave. We're staying. Many thanks. PS Walnuts were marvellous.
J'ai passé un séjour merveilleux avec des amis. Les hôtes, Kirstie et Russell, ont pensé à tout et restent disponibles si vous avez besoin de quoi que ce soit. La décoration est magnifique, et l'espace de vie ainsi que les chambres sont spacieux. Les lits sont confortables et les douches offrent une excellente pression. La terrasse et l'espace extérieur sont également très agréables, offrant une vue superbe sur les paysages environnants. Le gîte bénéficie d'un emplacement paisible et charmant, tout en étant proche de villes historiques pour ceux qui aiment faire des visites. Nous avons également profité d'une fantastique dégustation de vins locaux, une expérience recommandée par Russell.
All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse avec mes enfants à la Maison Lemance. Accueillis par Sam, la charmante propriétaire, nous avons immédiatement pris nos marques et nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Grâce à la multitude de terrasses, d'espaces de repas et de salons, chacun trouvait toujours l'endroit idéal où se détendre. La cuisine était particulièrement bien équipée, ce qui a fait de la préparation de quelques repas à la villa un véritable plaisir. La piscine, avec ses transats confortables, ainsi que la table de ping-pong, le terrain de pétanque et le badminton, ont ravi petits et grands. La supérette la plus proche se trouvait à une minute de route à peine : l'endroit idéal pour nos achats matinaux de baguettes fraîches et de fromage. Le grand supermarché E.Leclerc, à vingt minutes de route, proposait absolument tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin : des jeux gonflables pour la piscine, des livres et des vêtements jusqu'à l'alimentation et au vin. Au cœur d'une campagne magnifique, nous avions vraiment l'impression d'être « nichés dans un écrin de verdure ». Nous nous sommes aventurés jusqu'à la ville animée de Fumel pour y déjeuner au bord de la rivière, et je recommande vivement la visite du château de Bonaguil. Toutefois, nous étions si bien à nous prélasser au bord de la piscine que nous avons rarement ressenti le besoin de nous éloigner. Même les vignobles locaux n'ont pas réussi à nous attirer hors de la propriété, d'autant que Sam avait eu la délicate attention de garnir le réfrigérateur d'excellents vins de la région. En fait, je suis déjà très tentée de réserver à nouveau pour l'année prochaine, rien que pour m'assurer de pouvoir revenir dans ce petit coin de paradis !
We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious and well maintained accommodation met the needs of our party of 15 perfectly, ranging from ages 1 to 85. The accommodation was even nicer than shown in the photos, as the sitting room had been refurbished. We particularly loved the on site activities (table tennis, pétanque, pool etc) and the sitting area by the pool! There were many thoughtful touches, including toys for younger children, board games and a well stocked kitchen. The site managers were on hand to help with any queries and advise on places to visit. The Manoir is well located close to Casteljaloux for supermarket, shops, market etc and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. We’d certainly love to stay here again!
We enjoyed the house very much. We especially enjoyed the kitchen. The provision of cook books, an array of perfectly clean utensils. A stock of herbs and spices was a real bonus. We hope many more come and enjoy it as we did.
We booked Château Velouse as we love the Loire region. Definitely not disappointed... the welcome from the hosts Claire and Phil was lovely, the rooms were huge in size and height, great ensuites, it can hold 16 adults plus 4 children. Loads of space in the extensive grounds which are walled and fenced, we felt very secure and great for children and our dog to explore. The large swimming pool was fantastic and spent a lot of time there lounging on luxury sun beds under the umbrellas (30C plus during our stay). We had some wonderful evening meals during our stay either outside patio area which seated us all with lovely lighting or inside in the huge dining room. As a group of family and friends we took turns to cook which was great fun and the kitchen is very well equipped to cater for a large group. We had trips out to Bourges, Sancerre and a day on a local golf course, all recommended
Ravis d'être les premiers invités de la saison dans cette maison et ce jardin magiques. La semaine est passée trop vite bien sûr mais nous avons profité du marché de Ribérac. Visites à Bergerac. Les propriétaires étaient des hôtes formidables.
It seems but a moment since we arrived two weeks ago, but we have had a lovely time. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful company. What a pity we couldn’t come in June, but we are optimistic about next year. It feels much safer here in France than it does in England - we saw much more of Rieux than we have before, and have had some splendid meals. Our favourite is definitely l’Abbaye de Fontfroide, though Relais de Chantovent comes a close second. Until next June.
Very atmospheric, beautifully quiet, well equipped villa. Great pool and ideal for a large family stay. Nice market found 9 km to the left, at the bottom of the hill. Great local scenery, walks and bike rides and easy driving! Pool is fantastic and clean. Lower floor really cool when it gets hot! We've all had a great relaxing time!
Je tiens juste à vous remercier pour ce merveilleux séjour au Château de la Ronde. Nous avons passé un moment vraiment incroyable.
