We loved the site; very peaceful and relaxing, despite the suburban setting. Everything you need is here! Pézenas is a beautiful place and we also liked Meze, Tourbes and especially enjoyed kayaking down the Hérault river.
Nous ne pouvons pas partir sans dire quel privilège se fut d'être les premiers hôtes de cette magnifique villa. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison est juste parfaite. Nous avons bien visité la région, Grimaud, Port Grimaud, Saint-Maxime and Gassin - toutes méritent une visite. Nous sommes même allés faire du ski nautique et nous recommandons chaudement Adventure Sports à Saint-Tropez, qui propose plusieurs sports nautiques. Nous espérons que les prochains hôtes passeront un merveilleux séjour comme nous l'avons fait.
Beautifully renovated, well equipped house, ideal for family / friends gathering. Three quite separate sets of 2 double/ twin bedrooms with en-suites and seating areas, so plenty of privacy. Well equipped kitchen (loads of fridge space) and separate bar / fridge/ dishwasher area. Plenty of seating and dining space both inside and out on two terraces. Kids loved the pool and outside space, playing volley ball in the garden. We enjoyed the views and quiet surroundings. My parents enjoyed the local towns and villages; and the cakes! Daily cleaning included by lovely housekeeper/ gardener who live next door. We didn't know they were there except when we needed them. The area is beautiful if you have the energy to travel, Beaune and Dijon are worth a visit and the nearby Couches with a lovely château has a delicious Patisserie / Boulangerie. We took the train from Chagny to Beaune to visit the Hospice and enjoyed a wine tasting. There are lots of vineyards to visit and taste at, we wished we'd organised some tours before we arrived as the owners can advise on this. You will not be disappointed booking this house, we have stayed in many houses in France over the last 30 years and this is undoubtedly the loveliest. We hope to return.
Beautiful house, best we have ever stayed in. All the comforts of home and so tastefully decorated. Will definitely be back with the family. We had a wonderful holiday.

Nous avons loué cette villa plusieurs fois déjà sans jamais être déçus et nos attentes étaient grandes. Le propriétaire a été serviable et la villa est très bien équipée, avec plus d'ustensiles que vous ne pourriez imaginer, d'une propriété impeccable et un mobilier haut de gamme. Une fois encore, merci pour votre excellent service et nous n'hésiterons pas à la relouer à nouveau ni à la recommander à nos amis.
Je tiens à vous remercier pour la belle semaine que nous avons passée au Château du Pic de Rigaud. Henrietta était charmante et extrêmement serviable, la demeure était belle sans être trop guindée. Les vues étaient incroyables aussi bien depuis la maison que de la piscine. Nous sommes partis revigorés.
Merci beaucoup d'avoir rendu notre visite dans le Lot si spéciale. Votre généreuse hospitalité était incroyable. Rien n'était trop demander, chaque demande d'information suivie assidûment, toujours discrètement et sans jamais s'immiscer dans notre vie privée. En cours de séjour, nous réalisons que nous nous sommes fait un nouvel ami. La propriété elle-même est magnifique et impeccablement entretenue. Équipée de tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin, nous ne manquions de rien. Nichés au milieu des vignes, nous avons eu la chance d'être là à temps pour regarder et participer aux vendanges. Vous avez même organisé pour nous une dégustation des vins issus des vignobles de la région. Il était impossible de ne pas en emporter chez nous. Beaucoup à explorer, des restaurants incroyables, nous sommes tombés amoureux du Lot. Nous pouvons pleinement apprécier comment ce havre a volé votre cœur. Ayant passé de nombreuses années en vacances en France, c'était sans aucun doute le point culminant de tous nos voyages. Merci beaucoup d'avoir rendu nos vacances si spéciales.

Elegance and ease. The grounds have a great sense of fun for children to explore. Excellently Maintained A great pool area, sun and shaded areas so that there is something for everyone. Thanks Kate and Franz for creating such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Enjoying tea and coffee on our last morning we were joined by 2 deer - a lovely last moment. We are going to miss the house, the swimming pool and the beautiful meadow. Our highlights are Montcuq market, spending time in Lauzerte and Montpazier, two very pretty places. We have had some great food, especially at Le Caillau. It has been a special summer for our children, who have both had to endure exams and so it is fantastic that we as a family have been able to spend time together in this wonderful place. So pleased to have met you both and of course the little Lotte. Love from us all.
It's a must at Château Velouse! I have just returned from a fabulous reunion holiday of college friends, hosted at this beautiful Château Velouse. Situated in its own absolutely breathtaking grounds, of forest, fields and orchards, the land is vast enough for an early morning 5k circuit run, plus the wall to wall sunshine and a cooling swim in the beckoning outdoor pool of this gorgeous château, is a definite must for everyone! The inside of the château is something to marvel, with every bedroom individually named and decorated to the highest quality. A wonderful self catering holiday for our party of 14, gave us chance to meet with the excellent hosts Philip and Claire. Thank you both for making us all so welcome, we will certainly be returning in the not too distant future!
The weather has been great so spent most of our time in the pool and on the sun loungers. We loved visiting the towns and villages nearby and particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries every morning! Thank you for the great holiday we had in this great villa and a holiday we will never forget, and a holiday we loved every minute of. We all will be very, very sad to be leaving! Merci!
Résidence absolument divine. Cuisine fantastique et bien équipée. Parc magnifique et Jennifer était disponible pour nous aider pour tout, de la recherche d'un excellent bar de plage jusqu'aux réservations. Nous n'aurions pas pu apprécier davantage notre séjour.
Magnifique maison dans un petit village, à deux pas de toutes les commodités dont vous aurez besoin durant votre séjour. La climatisation est un must, tout comme la piscine qui offre une parfaite intimité. La cuisine d’été est très appréciable. Linda est également disponible au besoin et très gentille. We are finally home and now reflecting on happy memories of our wonderful holiday in France and particularly our 10 nights spent here. Where do we begin to ever thank you for all that you did and for making our holiday so special. We felt like we had our own personal butler looking after us throughout our stay. Even prior to our arrival we welcomed the emails, the ease of booking and then promptly replying to any query that we had , as well as the phone call to offer help and support the week before we were scheduled to arrive. We really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies and all the other little things that you had thoughtfully put in the fridge, making our arrival into the gîte a very warm and welcome one. Your 'blood, sweat and tears' have truly paid off as we could see the attention to detail that has gone in to making this a luxury gîte for your guests. We noticed the quality of furnishings and fittings, bed linen, sumptuous soft towels and then separate towels laid out for us by the pool, all of which made for an exciting stay ahead! The beds were extremely comfortable and accompanied by the peace and tranquility at night meant we both woke each morning feeling fully refreshed! We particularly enjoyed our time spent around the swimming pool and also using the outdoor kitchen/BBQ. Everything was spotlessly clean and we know that you ensured the pool area was cleaned down for us every morning. We were blessed with good weather too. The views from the terrace were stunning and we never tired from sitting there overlooking the local Cuzorn area and the valley beyond. It was a pleasure getting to know you and hearing about your journey from Essex to Lot-et-Garonne. For us, as first guests it was a privilege staying at Lasserre and we will be talking about you and our holiday for years to come. I equally hope that for you and Kate your first guests did not let you down and we have left a wonderful impression on you too! We sincerely hope that you are rewarded for the fruits of your labour and whilst we would like you to have a busy season, just secretly we would like to keep this little bit of heaven purely for us!

Nous sommes restés toute la famille 6 adultes et 2 enfants pendant 4 jours. La maison a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour profiter de quelques jours dans le sud de la France. Les propriétaires ont toujours été très amicaux et prêts à nous aider avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Merci.
The villa was amazing and had everyone we wanted in it. Charlotte was amazing and we especially loved the pool/decking area. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
Nous avons passé deux semaines magnifiques dans cette fabuleuse ferme. La maison est grande et spacieuse avec tout ce dont vous auriez besoin. Les hôtes étaient vraiment merveilleux et nous ont très bien accueillis : rien n'était trop leur demander ! Il y a beaucoup à faire dans les environs : beaucoup de villes merveilleuses à explorer, du canoë, de la baignade dans les lacs et de belles promenades. Nous étions deux familles avec 5 adolescents. Nous avons tous convenu que nous y retournerions avec plaisir !
Nous avons passé deux semaines ici l'été dernier avec 4 adultes et un enfant. Le logement est excellent et la maison bien climatisée. La climatisation était très importante pour nous car nous y sommes habitués pendant les étés chauds et cela apporte une réelle grande différence. La piscine et l'emplacement sont très isolés et très propres avec un service de nettoyage piscine inclus. Nous avons adoré la terrasse extérieure et avons passé chaque soir à regarder les étoiles, les cafés du matin étaient également appréciés tous les jours. Intérieur charmant et cuisine équipée. Nous sommes impatients de revenir ici avec nos amis du Royaume-Uni qui sont heureux de nous rejoindre à nouveau. Un délicieux séjour, une courte promenade jusqu'au village chaque jour pour le pain et les marchés du vendredi sont importants pour nous. Vous devriez séjourner ici si vous en avez l'occasion: nous avons séjourné ailleurs et c'est ici le meilleur endroit. Oh... le Wi-Fi fonctionne et est toujours essentiel pour nous partout où nous voyageons dans le monde.
Mia, 7 years old We have had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. I loved playing in the swimming pool with my nanny, grandad, sister and my 2 cousins. The market in Duras is definitely worth a visit with lots of lovely things to see and buy. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we have.
