Week-end entre amies. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La maison de David et Kirstie est magnifique. L’environnement est très calme et reposant. La maison est très grande, les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie confortable. Chaque chambre est équipée d’une salle de bain. David et Kirstie sont des hôtes très à l’écoute et disponibles. Je recommande.
Merci pour votre accueil chaleureux. Nous avons trouvé l'endroit calme et reposant, exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. J'espère que vous aimez la musique des années 80 et que nous n'avons pas été trop bruyants. Merci encore. Jessica a appris à nager le dernier jour à la piscine.
We had a great stay at Maison du Gua over Easter. The weather was a real surprise (I had packed wellies and jumpers) but it was lovely. Sunny and warm enough for us all to enjoy the great swimming pool and lunch outside everyday. There were three generations staying (10 people) and we all had plenty of room to relax. Our three children (1, 3, 6) enjoyed the huge selection of quality toys, both indoors and provided for the garden. The baby loved the baby swing and his mum enjoyed the huge list of baby extras Mel provided, that made packing so much easier. Mel and Jim are very helpful and quick to respond with anything you need. Our thanks to to the lovely Elodie for making our stay so pleasant.
We had a wonderful holiday at Maison Emz. Jacky and Anne are the perfect hosts, being friendly, helpful and keen to allow us to have a good vacation. Maison Emz is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and is beautifully decorated and equipped. The outside spaces and pool area provide a lovely environment to relax. The house location, in a quiet rural area but with the good local town of Goudargues and other interesting towns and villages within easy reach, is a great place to enjoy two weeks in the sun.
Our stay was as much about the garden as the stunning house, the electronic gate at the entrance worked a treat each time we used it. Three of us each had a bedroom and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge were fully equipped so we wanted for nothing. We linked our laptop in to the CD via a two-to-one 3.5mm jack lead which we take everywhere, so were able to listen to our collection of music through quite a reasonable hi-fi system. The large TV, although not HD, was great for any English programmes you just couldn't miss, even on holiday! We made the ten minute scenic drive up to the boulangerie at Bertric-Buree for our baguettes, croissants and pain-a-raisins most days as there are no shops in Lusignac, just a bar restaurant. The croissants were enjoyed sitting outside the kitchen / living room area on the middle floor, which has a stunning view. For our first week, the temperatures were in the mid-thirties so it was lovely to cool off in the pool. With the pool being quite long, you could actually swim, rather than just splash about which was great to keep a little bit of fitness going. Now the garden. As having a very keen interest in natural history, especially butterflies, we contacted the owner and asked if he could leave the grass uncut, so that any wild flowers would be there to attract butterflies for our photography. He duly obliged. This resulted in a count of thirty one species of butterfly just in the garden, with another five spotted whilst out on our travels. Non-British species included Scarce Swallowtail, Swallowtail, Pearly Heath, Mallow Skipper, Map and the star of the show, Large Blue, which were extinct in Britain until being reintroduced recently. The grass areas provided a fantastic environment for butterflies and other insects. This little area truly is a spectacular insect haven. This is without the lavender hedge which runs down one side of the entire drive. No red squirrels, but we watched birds of prey circling as the farmer cut the field in the valley and amongst other species of birds, there were a pair of Golden Orioles which flew by regularly. If you are looking for a modern house in an attractive location with lovely pool, lovely view and ridiculous number of butterflies, this is it!
À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par les sympathiques propriétaires. La piscine était chauffée à une température parfaite et la piscine était superbement isolée. Les jardins bien entretenus offraient pétanque, badminton et croquet, avec de nombreuses espèces d'arbres, qui offraient des endroits ombragés recherchés et toujours un endroit pour voir les couchers de soleil attendus. Le cadre est magnifique et paisible, les commerces locaux dans les villages sont à une courte distance en voiture et les grandes villes offrant des hypermarchés à environ 20 minutes en voiture. Dans l'ensemble, une grande maison, une piscine et un jardin bien situés pour découvrir les sites touristiques locaux et les paysages de la Dordogne.
We were four related families of eight adults and 8 children aged 3-7. The palatial exterior of the Chateau belies the comfort and homeliness of its interior which boasts some of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The shuttered windows and the judicious repositioning of a vase or two made it easy to child-proof the rooms. The magnificent parkland of trees, lawns and flower-beds offers a short-walk to a fully enclosed and secure open-air swimming pool, which was a particular highlight. The views across the surrounding countryside are simply stunning. We particularly valued the extensive space, the quiet and the privacy. Gaelle was extremely helpful in dealing with any queries and we are grateful to her and her family for sharing their home with a large group of complete strangers. Fiona

Nous avons eu une superbe expérience: tout était préparé pour nous à l'arrivée, une magnifique propriété pour toute la famille. Une semaine n'a pas été suffisante, mais merci à la femme de ménage Vicki et à notre jardinier responsable de l'entretien de la piscine John, ils ont été extrêmement gentils et rien n'était jamais trop leur demander. Le golf à cinq minutes était un fantastique cadeau d'anniversaire, un beau parcours avec tennis au sein du club de golf. Des vacances incroyables, un sans faute, que je recommanderais certainement. 10 sur 10.
Galina était une hôtesse formidable et accommodante. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans sa villa. Les photos et les descriptions sont exactes. À noter simplement que les chambres communicantes du premier étage ont une entrée indépendante. De manière plus générale et même s'il y a quelques éléments qui pourraient être améliorés, nous recommanderons certainement la villa.
Maison magnifique, très bien située qui permet promenade, pause café et joie de vivre. Nous recommandons fortement.
It has been fun cooking and eating out on the terrace with the wonderful views.
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on La Picholine. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.
Nous avons vécu une expérience unique dans ce lieu très privé et exceptionnel. Un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer et profiter de moments mémorables en famille. La piscine est impressionnante et les lumières y créent une atmosphère magique. Vous êtes en pleine nature mais au sein d'un cadre de la plus haute qualité.
Couldn't keep the kids out of the pool it was so warm, especially in the evening when we sat on the terrace next to the pool with a glass of rosé. Everyone loved the roof terrace with its views. Thanks for a very warm welcome.

A superb holiday villa that has the WOW factor. Great swimming pool and poolside area with large grassed area for games such as badminton and croquet for which the equipment is provided. Lovely quiet location with good facilities and things to do a short drive away. Would definitely stay again. Owner very helpful.
Breathtaking. What a hidden gem! All the fotos of Château Velouse do not do the place justice. From the minute you enter the gates and see this magnificent château, glowing in the sunshine at the end of a sweeping drive, you know you are in for a treat. Our wonderful hosts. Claire and Phil greeted us and gave us a tour of the main building and grounds. The interior is exquisitely appointed. All the rooms are large and meticulously clean. The bedrooms are huge and comfortable without being over-fussy. The bathroom - lion clawed bath and walk-in shower - what more could you ask for after a hard day sitting beside the spotlessly clean and well-maintained outdoor pool. There's plenty of places within an hour to explore close by, so if sun-worshipping isn't your thing, like me, go to Bourges and wander around this medieval city, All in all, Château Velouse is an experience I'll never forget and one I hope to revisit
Weary of election nonsense and pandemic restrictions, we sought respite in France and found it at Colombat Cottage.
Magique. Lieu magique, parc paysagé incroyable et maison très agréable à vivre. Bravo aux propriétaires qui ont sublimé le lieu avec une très belle âme! Avec la piscine et le très beau temps que nous avons eu, le séjour est parfait. Merci.
Il s'agit d'un compte-rendu actualisé et plus complet de notre séjour en juin dans la magnifique Maison des Cordeliers à Sarlat. Après un très long voyage jusqu'à Sarlat depuis Calais via Orléans à travers des tempêtes de pluie franchement bibliques, ce fut un soulagement d'arriver dans une maison aussi accueillante ! La maison était très cosy et avait tout le confort que l'on peut souhaiter. Les lits étaient super confortables (c'est dire quelque chose de la part d'une personne difficile en matière de matelas) et il y avait beaucoup de rangements pour les bagages. La cuisine et le salon étaient approvisionnés avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et la télévision par satellite était un bonus pour les match de l'Euro ! Comme le temps s'améliorait, nous avons passé beaucoup de temps autour de la belle piscine ou quand il faisait trop chaud, la véranda était un endroit bienvenu où s'installer à l'ombre et se détendre avec un livre. La climatisation était également très appréciée ! Nous n'avions jamais séjourné dans cette partie de la France auparavant, nous nous dirigions habituellement vers la Provence ou la Côte d'Azur, mais la ville ne nous a pas déçus. Belle architecture médiévale, marchés fabuleux et charmants magasins et restaurants. Sarlat est une véritable merveille et le fait que le centre soit à 5 minutes à pied de la maison est un véritable bonus. Je peux honnêtement dire que nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux et relaxant à la Maison des Cordeliers et que nous serions ravis d'y séjourner à nouveau la prochaine fois que nous nous reviendrons en Dordogne.
Amazing holiday location! Great views of a peaceful quaint little village in south of France, and don't even need to get out of the pool. Everything you need is provided by the host, excellent quality of service for the price. Great variety of excursions possible in the area, be it sporty, cultural or plain shopping and farniente! Looking forward to coming back again as soon as possible!!!
Quelle semaine fantastique nous avons eue. Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité. Notre fils a adoré le trampoline et la piscine et nos filles ont adoré jouer sous les arbres ombragés de votre magnifique jardin. Les roses sont magnifiques et leur odeur a rempli nos journées paresseuses. Excellente maison, beau jardin, commodités fantastiques à proximité et nous avons vraiment apprécié Saumur aussi. Nous espérons revenir très bientôt s'il vous plaît. En attendant, merci beaucoup.
A superb week spent in the Loft du Vigneron. Thank you Karen and Russell for being wonderful hosts and recommending amazing restaurants and equally great days out. Our 'home' for the week was truly special with so much attention to detail and gorgeous touches.
We very much enjoyed our visit to this area with its wonderful beaches and gorgeous scenery. Your warm welcome on our arrival helped us to settle in to this beautiful villa and it is obvious you have spend many years in furnishing it. A home of which to be justly proud.

Maison spacieuse, jolie et très bien placée ! Nous avons passés une très belle semaine dans votre logement ! Hôte à l’écoute et présent pour répondre aux questions. Le logement à côté de la maison (l’atelier) est très bien quand deux familles partent chacun a son autonomie avec son espace personnel. Nous recommandons sans problème.
Thank you for a fabulous stay in Vouvant and all the kind hospitality you showed us. The kids have loved having the fabulous pool all to themselves. We've had great trips out to the Isle de Ré and the beaches. We are sad to be leaving !
