Spotlessly clean, stunning home. We had everything we needed and more - especially for the children. Unintrusive, super helpful.
Le Château Mézard est une propriété magnifique et constitue certainement le décor de vacances en famille des plus mémorables. Je comprends bien pourquoi vous parliez tantôt du château avec tant d'affection. Notre groupe s'est rassemblé pour célébration spéciale avec la famille proche. Nous étions donc mélangés en termes d'âges et centres d'intérêt, mais le château offrait le cadre idéal pour répondre à tous nos intérêts, des plus petits aux adultes parmi nous. Les enfants se sont énormément amusés dans et autour de la piscine. Personnellement, j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à me promener dans les magnifiques jardins et à admirer des paysages à couper le souffle. Laurent, Didier et Rachel ont fait de leur mieux pour que nous passions un merveilleux moment et rien n'était trop leur demander.
Le Séchoir Carme was a lovely holiday let and we enjoyed two weeks exploring the region from this beautiful house returning each late afternoon to enjoy the large pool and cool down before dinner. The house is well proportioned and the kitchen/living area is well designed (and equipped) with wonderful access to the outdoor dining area and pool. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday with all we needed for our young family.
C'est une fabuleuse villa avec des espaces et des zones de détente magnifiques, spacieux et différents, parfaite pour les grands groupes ou les familles - la piscine est magnifique. Tout a été pensé et la disponibilité de vélos pour tous les âges est excellente, surtout quand on est si près du canal du midi. Les propriétaires sont très attentifs et sympathiques et tout, des gâteries généreuses à l'arrivée, au fabuleux repas (merci!) Aux pâtisseries et au pain du matin est top, et les meilleurs conseils sur le vin et les excursions d'une journée sont fournis facilement, et à chaque fois des super suggestions. Un endroit charmant et certainement un lieu où vous voudrez revenir.
La villa correspondait à la description et était parfaite à tous les points de vue. Nous avons choisi la villa car tout était de plain-pied et la piscine et la terrasse étaient situées très près de la maison principale. Nous avons passé un moment des plus merveilleux et la disposition des chambres signifiait que nous avions beaucoup d'espace pour nous détendre. L'espace barbecue a bien été utilisé. La climatisation était la bienvenue lors des chaudes nuits méditerranéennes. C'était aussi la première villa dans laquelle nous avons séjourné où nous avons pu marcher jusqu'à la ville locale pour acheter nos croissants quotidiens. Le service que nous avons eu de Pure France et Philippe était exceptionnel. Merci.

Encore de belles vacance passée dans cette région. La maison nous a offert tout ce dont nous avions besoin, tout comme les photos et les descriptions l'avaient montré. Le standing autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur était fantastique. Souvent en France, les piscines peuvent être un peu éloignées de la maison/des espaces communs extérieurs, mais c'était un aménagement fantastique pour que tout le monde puisse en profiter toute la journée et toute la soirée. La piscine était la meilleure partie, en très bon état et a procuré des heures de plaisir aux enfants et aux adultes, tout comme la salle de jeux. La maison était très spacieuse et toutes les installations/équipements fournis étaient idéaux. La petite promenade dans le village à travers les champs pour notre pain et nos gâteaux du matin et la proximité de Duras et d'Eymet (les villes que nous aimons visiter) en faisaient un endroit idéal.
Thank you for another lovely stay in the Loft; a relaxing half-term break for us all. We will look forward to seeing you again for the next one!
Our stay was as much about the garden as the stunning house, the electronic gate at the entrance worked a treat each time we used it. Three of us each had a bedroom and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge were fully equipped so we wanted for nothing. We linked our laptop in to the CD via a two-to-one 3.5mm jack lead which we take everywhere, so were able to listen to our collection of music through quite a reasonable hi-fi system. The large TV, although not HD, was great for any English programmes you just couldn't miss, even on holiday! We made the ten minute scenic drive up to the boulangerie at Bertric-Buree for our baguettes, croissants and pain-a-raisins most days as there are no shops in Lusignac, just a bar restaurant. The croissants were enjoyed sitting outside the kitchen / living room area on the middle floor, which has a stunning view. For our first week, the temperatures were in the mid-thirties so it was lovely to cool off in the pool. With the pool being quite long, you could actually swim, rather than just splash about which was great to keep a little bit of fitness going. Now the garden. As having a very keen interest in natural history, especially butterflies, we contacted the owner and asked if he could leave the grass uncut, so that any wild flowers would be there to attract butterflies for our photography. He duly obliged. This resulted in a count of thirty one species of butterfly just in the garden, with another five spotted whilst out on our travels. Non-British species included Scarce Swallowtail, Swallowtail, Pearly Heath, Mallow Skipper, Map and the star of the show, Large Blue, which were extinct in Britain until being reintroduced recently. The grass areas provided a fantastic environment for butterflies and other insects. This little area truly is a spectacular insect haven. This is without the lavender hedge which runs down one side of the entire drive. No red squirrels, but we watched birds of prey circling as the farmer cut the field in the valley and amongst other species of birds, there were a pair of Golden Orioles which flew by regularly. If you are looking for a modern house in an attractive location with lovely pool, lovely view and ridiculous number of butterflies, this is it!
C'est magnifique et absolument parfait pour nous. Nous avons aussi adoré le village et le restaurant. Nous avons séjourné dans de belles maisons en France mais la vôtre est certainement la meilleure. Nous vous contacterons pour notre prochain voyage en France !
We booked the Manoir de Monflanquin in Oct 2020. It was between lockdowns and it was a very weird and scary time for us as a family. We were so looking forward to the holiday. We then postponed it due to the travel restrictions in 2021, we just didn’t want to risk it. It’s the longest time we’ve ever waited for a holiday. Our holiday in Monflanquin was the best holiday we’ve ever had and we’ve been on some great ones! The house was elegant but robust enough to cope with the 9 of us. It was better than the photos we’d been pouring over for two years. We never got used to the views, the space and beauty of the place. The pool, garden, hammocks, table tennis, badminton net and pool table kept us fully entertained. The kitchen was such a lovely place to be and so delightfully organised. We all took it in turns to cook and had gorgeous evenings outside chatting and eating at the tables out front. The weather was incredible - we had days of glorious sunshine and then spectacular electrical storms. When it rained we just wandered into Monflanquin, set up camp in a pretty cafe and played cards. The view of Monflanquin from the garden always made me pause and remember how lucky we were. The views of the house as we strolled round the fields also gave us joy. It sat so firmly and proudly on its plot. Please thank the owners for providing such a lovely place for us to all get together. It was perfect. Thank you from us all.
We enjoyed a fantastic 2 weeks in this lovely house. The pool was very popular (due to the August heatwave - most days were 30 - 33 degrees). It was nice to be given a guided tour of the property by Yvonne and be welcomed with flowers and wine. The house has so much character - It would be lovely to learn a little more about its history and former occupants. We loved lots of the al fresco dining and one particularly memorable cheese and wine night in the candlelit wine cellar! Île de Ré, La Rochelle, Cognac, Marais poitevin are all we worth visiting. Make sure you take a look at the stars on a clean night - we spotted a few shooting stars!
La Maison Somail était encore plus belle que ce que à quoi nous nous attendions, avec un souci du détail, un beau jardin et une piscine. Cadre agréable et hôte très sympathique.
De très belles vacances dans cette maison et cette region du Var. Très bonne communication avec la propriétaire et accueil personnalisé pour que l'on trouve la maison. Parking facile pour 2 voitures. Merci pour les boissons au frigo à l'arrivée ! Très belle piscine, une vue magnifique, nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette maison très fonctionnelle.
Thank you for a very memorable two weeks. Our children who are 4 and 7 rate this as the best holiday ever. PS4 and Pool! Pézenas is a beautiful town and we will remember it fondly.

This was a great find for our annual French holiday. Your lovely house was perfect for the whole family, it was hard to get the kids out of the pool at the end of the day. Monflanquin is a great town, a real discovery with lots of great restaurants.

We have had a very relaxing and restful week here, with perfect weather. We loved the pool, playing table tennis and darts. The house has everything you could need and we have enjoyed having so much space inside and out! The surrounding area has lots to offer – Chauvigny is beautiful (we recommend The VeloRail) and we spent a wonderful afternoon kayaking at Angles sur L’Anglin.
Week-end entre amies. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La maison de David et Kirstie est magnifique. L’environnement est très calme et reposant. La maison est très grande, les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie confortable. Chaque chambre est équipée d’une salle de bain. David et Kirstie sont des hôtes très à l’écoute et disponibles. Je recommande.
Nous avons passé 2 semaines magiques dans votre magnifique château ! Un lieu exceptionnel qui restera gravé dans nos mémoires ! Nous n'oublierons jamais l'accueil chaleureux que vous nous avez réservé. Votre générosité et gentillesse nous ont touché le cœur. A challenging end of year led to my very last minute search for somewhere special to stay for Christmas. We jumped for joy when your Loft showed as available for 8 days arriving on Christmas Eve. Throughout the five hour drive from Cannes, I stressed about finding a tree and decorations to make the holiday perfect. To my utter AMAZEMENT, the Loft had been fully decorated beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for all your very thoughtful and generous touches. As a seriously experienced traveller, I can assure you that exceptionally few hosts go to the same lengths as yourselves. You made our Christmas very SPECIAL and, dare I say, UNFORGETTABLE! Thank you so much - keep on keepin’ on! Christmas 2022.
Un autre superbe séjour à la Maison Baleyssagues: nous y avons encore passé un merveilleux moment et le meilleur temps jusque-là ! Du soleil constamment ! Comme toujours, merci beaucoup à Frédéric pour l'accueil des plus chaleureux (comme toujours). Nous rentrons à la maison avec encore plus de souvenirs de la Villa.
Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
All the comforts and happiness of home with none of the daily grind. TOTAL REST and relaxation. Thank you.
