Can't really add to what's said before, but totally agree the house is a perfect home from home and is a great base for a fantastic holiday.
We had a great time. The welcome was very nice and the amenities matched the description. I recommend it.
Simply a wonderful holiday, house and village We're just back from spending a week in this fabulous house in a great little village. The house had everything to make our stay totally comfortable with loads of space for our party of two couples and could have accommodated two or three more people easily. The pool and pool area were great with plenty of loungers and seating with a nice shaded area for refuge from the sun at the hight of the afternoon but best of all there is a great terrace where we spent the warm evenings with a glass or three of our favourite tipple. We were able to join in the fun and celebrations in the local bars as France progressed in the World Cup, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The village itself has all we would want bakeries, a couple of bars and restaurants with pretty good food and all just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the house, there is even a good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to go back next year, 5 stars from us.
Très belle maison propre et bien équipé. Nous avons passé une superbe semaine (4 adultes et 5 enfants). Magifique piscine, une grande salle de jeux très agréable. Nous recommandons cette maison sans hésiter.
There aren't enough words to describe how much of a great time we have had. The Loft was amazing and we can't wait to come back in 2017. Karen and Russell are just the perfect hosts. See you next year.
Très belle maison en Périgord. La maison est sublime. Un parfait mélange entre rustique, tradition et confort moderne. Restaurée à merveille. Et 5 salles de bain pour 5 chambres, c'est rare. Immense cheminée, parfaite pour une semaine à Noël. Très bien équipée. Et Florence nous a accueilli avec gentillesse, et est très réactive aux questions et demandes.
J'ai passé une semaine au Petit Pigeonnier en août et j'ai passé un merveilleux séjour. La propriété était impeccable et extrêmement bien aménagée. L'emplacement était magnifique et a dépassé toutes mes attentes. Je tenais également à vous faire part de l'hospitalité exceptionnelle de Debbie, notre hôte. Des yaourts maison étaient proposés le matin et une séance de yoga privée était organisée. Des recommandations de restaurants et de lieux à visiter ont été formulées sans aucune insistance ni atteinte à notre vie privée.
We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We appreciate how clean it was when we arrived (thanks Yvonne) and the wine. We love the decor and period furnishings. The pool and small barn were great. It was interesting to hear about the history and previous occupants of the house from Bob and Margaret, the English neighbours across the road. Thanks. We hope to return one day.
Nous sommes bien arrivés à la maison après notre agréable voyage en France. Et bien sûr, la meilleure partie était notre séjour dans votre charmante maison. C'est le meilleur logement locatif dans lequel nous ayons été en raison du sentiment que nous étions dans une vraie maison - il est joliment décoré avec une telle attention aux détails. Il n'y avait rien que vous n'ayez fourni dans chaque pièce et une quantité incroyable d'activités pour amuser tout le monde. Nous sommes juste tristes que les petits-enfants ne soient pas avec nous car ils auraient adoré la piscine et le jardin. Nous avons envoyé des vidéos de la salle de jeux avec la voie ferrée installée car mon petit-fils en a une à la maison !
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cet endroit très calme et verdoyant. Une maison très agréable et confortable, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Terrasse, piscine, transats... C'était super ! À proximité de Pézenas (magnifique), de l'Abbaye de Valmagne (magnifique) et des marchés locaux... La propriétaire est adorable et très discrète.

We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.

Breathtaking. What a hidden gem! All the fotos of Château Velouse do not do the place justice. From the minute you enter the gates and see this magnificent château, glowing in the sunshine at the end of a sweeping drive, you know you are in for a treat. Our wonderful hosts. Claire and Phil greeted us and gave us a tour of the main building and grounds. The interior is exquisitely appointed. All the rooms are large and meticulously clean. The bedrooms are huge and comfortable without being over-fussy. The bathroom - lion clawed bath and walk-in shower - what more could you ask for after a hard day sitting beside the spotlessly clean and well-maintained outdoor pool. There's plenty of places within an hour to explore close by, so if sun-worshipping isn't your thing, like me, go to Bourges and wander around this medieval city, All in all, Château Velouse is an experience I'll never forget and one I hope to revisit
Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
Nous avons passé deux semaines merveilleuses aux Hirondelles, une si belle maison, avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin, et Cédric a été très serviable ! Nous sommes allés aux marchés de Narbonne (dimanche), de Capestang (mercredi), avons nagé dans la mer à Gruissan Plage, visité les abbayes de Narbonne, l'abbaye de Fontfroide - magnifique - et un fabuleux déjeuner dans un restaurant à La Grasse. Le bar de Canet est sympa, la pizzeria fait de bonnes pizzas (y compris à emporter) et il y a des magasins. A Raissac, il y a du pain et des croissants à la coopérative le matin et il y a une cave à vin à Canet ouverte tous les jours de 11h à 12h - remplissez votre contenant en plastique ! Nous avons dîné au Somail, des tapas et quelque chose de nature - tous deux très bons ! Je ne m'en souviens plus mais j'espère que vous apprécierez vos vacances autant que nous ! Merci Cédric !
It hardly seems two minutes since we were here in the summer - time goes so fast! As ever, we have had a lovely time and have had some splendid lunches at all our favourite restaurants. The weather was really very good for October - only the odd shower. As always, thank you for your wonderful hospitality - you are such good company.
The gite is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, the hosts Kirstie and Russell have made sure you have everything you need for your break. There is a lovely private seating area outside with dining area, hot tub and patio which looks out onto the orchard and fields. Wonderful place to stay in a great location for visiting local vineyards and historical towns and villages.

Wonderful! We just loved our week at this fabulous home. We are a Canadian family of 8. 5 adults and 3 kids ( ages 13, 10 and 9). After eight days in Paris, this was the perfect place to chill. The setting is fabulous. We had a spectacular view of Grasse and the surroundings and we enjoyed many glorious sunsets. The patio area really was the winner. Spacious with lots of room for everyone. The house was very well equipped and the owners were very responsive to any little concerns or questions we had. Great pool. Kind hosts. Highly recommended.
Wow… what an amazing villa, it's just so beautiful. We had an amazing family holiday… Debbie and Brent also made our experience so memorable and really have provided a fantastic service.
À l'arrivée, nous avons reçu un accueil des plus chaleureux de la part des propriétaires, Caterina et Steve, rien n'était trop leur demander. Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux beaux lieux au fil des ans, mais cet endroit est vraiment spécial et un parfait petit bijou... l'intérieur est magnifiquement soigné avec de nombreux détails bien pensés, des fleurs fraîches aux bâtons d'encens... Caterina garde l'endroit impeccable, et comme neuf, un second chez-soi! Steve travaille dur pour maintenir la piscine et les jardins en parfait état, ce que nous avons vraiment apprécié. Nous avions séjourné en famille dans la ville voisine de Sarlat avant notre arrivée, ce qui était plutôt mouvementé, et nous avions hâte de nous détendre et de pouvoir décompresser... côté détente et tranquillité, cet endroit est difficile à battre, l'emplacement est fabuleux, et nous reviendrions de suite!
We have had the most wonderful few days at this most beautiful house. I couldn’t believe how heavenly it all looked as we drove into the gates. We loved being here with good friends and had the best time. Many thanks for a perfect place to be.
Super séjour. Le chalet est a 2 pas du centre de St Lary ! L'accueil de Patrice et tout ses bons plans nous ont permis de découvrir l’endroit dans les meilleures conditions. Le jacuzzi terrasse, la salle de jeux et la salle de sport permettent aussi de passer des supers vacances à la maison pour ceux qui n’aiment pas randonner ou skier. Je recommande l’hiver comme l’été !

Great Holiday. We had a super time is this beautiful and peaceful place! Everything was impeccable and we highly recommend it! We will definitely be back!
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on Les Oliviers du Sud. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.
