Our stay was as much about the garden as the stunning house, the electronic gate at the entrance worked a treat each time we used it. Three of us each had a bedroom and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge were fully equipped so we wanted for nothing. We linked our laptop in to the CD via a two-to-one 3.5mm jack lead which we take everywhere, so were able to listen to our collection of music through quite a reasonable hi-fi system. The large TV, although not HD, was great for any English programmes you just couldn't miss, even on holiday! We made the ten minute scenic drive up to the boulangerie at Bertric-Buree for our baguettes, croissants and pain-a-raisins most days as there are no shops in Lusignac, just a bar restaurant. The croissants were enjoyed sitting outside the kitchen / living room area on the middle floor, which has a stunning view. For our first week, the temperatures were in the mid-thirties so it was lovely to cool off in the pool. With the pool being quite long, you could actually swim, rather than just splash about which was great to keep a little bit of fitness going. Now the garden. As having a very keen interest in natural history, especially butterflies, we contacted the owner and asked if he could leave the grass uncut, so that any wild flowers would be there to attract butterflies for our photography. He duly obliged. This resulted in a count of thirty one species of butterfly just in the garden, with another five spotted whilst out on our travels. Non-British species included Scarce Swallowtail, Swallowtail, Pearly Heath, Mallow Skipper, Map and the star of the show, Large Blue, which were extinct in Britain until being reintroduced recently. The grass areas provided a fantastic environment for butterflies and other insects. This little area truly is a spectacular insect haven. This is without the lavender hedge which runs down one side of the entire drive. No red squirrels, but we watched birds of prey circling as the farmer cut the field in the valley and amongst other species of birds, there were a pair of Golden Orioles which flew by regularly. If you are looking for a modern house in an attractive location with lovely pool, lovely view and ridiculous number of butterflies, this is it!

Merci d'avoir fait du Domaine de Nérige un si bel endroit où séjourner, nous y avons passé un moment fabuleux. Le temps, la nourriture et les divertissements, tout était fantastique. Nous n'avons jamais voulu sortir et n'avons fait que remplir le frigo. J'espère revenir avec plus d'amis et de famille si je peux et partager l'expérience avec eux. En attendant la prochaine fois.
The accomodation were beyond our expectations, the rooms were large and spacious with an antique feel. Outdoor gardens well maintained and beautiful. Pool area is large and well equipped for our family vacation

Ayant loué des maisons de vacances en France pendant de nombreuses années, je suis sûr que l'accueil de Philippe a été le plus chaleureux que nous ayons jamais eu. Sa gentillesse et sa générosité en nous offrant un magnifique pack de bienvenue comprenant des fromages, du pain, des fruits, du vin et une tarte ont rendu notre arrivée très agréable. La maison est joliment aménagée et chaque besoin semblait avoir été pris en compte. La disposition des trois bâtiments est particulièrement adaptée aux familles nombreuses avec deux grandes chambres en suite dans un bloc, une double compacte dans le pool house et une magnifique suite parentale dans la maison principale. Les installations sont exceptionnelles, avec une cuisine entièrement équipée, la climatisation dans les zones clés, une grande variété de sièges extérieurs (très confortables) au soleil et à l'ombre, une fantastique cuisine extérieure avec barbecue et une superbe piscine, le tout dans de beaux jardins. Philippe a gentiment apporté des croissants ou des pâtisseries les matins (très tôt), il nettoyait silencieusement la piscine et apportait une autre grande sélection de friandises locales lors du changement des draps après une semaine. L'emplacement est calme et paisible mais il y a beaucoup d'endroits intéressants à visiter à une courte distance en voiture. Béziers et les villages le long du Canal du Midi offrent de nombreuses activités et la côte n'est qu'à 20 minutes. C'est une propriété exceptionnelle qui ressemble à une maison plutôt qu'à une location et vous ne pouvez pas ne pas y passer de vacances.
Avons séjourné à plusieurs reprises dans cette superbe maison, tres bien aménagée, la piscine est top et la vue à couper le souffle. Ce petit village vaut le detour.

Nous avons passé une quinzaine de jours fantastiques à la Villa Bellara en juin 2023. La propriété était impeccable et nous a fait nous sentir instantanément chez nous. Notre groupe était composé de trois couples et d'un bébé, mais la villa est si grande que chaque couple avait son propre étage avec une pièce inutilisée. Chaque chambre climatisée avait accès à une salle de bain et un dressing. La cuisine est grande et bien équipée pour cuisiner et préparer des boissons et des collations. Nous avons également utilisé le barbecue à gaz Weber. Nous n'avons jamais eu de piscine chauffée en France auparavant ; nous l'avons utilisé tous les jours et nous nous sommes détendus sur les trois terrasses isolées. Nous avons visité Cros De Cagnes à plusieurs reprises et pouvons recommander la région aux vacanciers qui ne souhaitent pas louer de voiture. La villa est située dans un quartier résidentiel calme mais à seulement 15 minutes à pied du front de mer avec ses bars et restaurants. Il y a un supermarché à proximité et plusieurs boulangeries à quelques pas. Vous pouvez facilement accéder au train ou au bus pour des trajets vers Nice ou au-delà. Le propriétaire Jean Luc était extrêmement hospitalier et a pris le temps de nous expliquer tous les aspects de la Villa. Il a précisé que nous pouvions le contacter si le moindre problème survenait. Nous recommandons vivement la Villa Bellara et espérons revenir à l'avenir.
Endroit majestueux en famille, tout est réuni pour partager d’agréables moments et se retrouver à l’abri des regards indiscrets… La propriété possède beaucoup d’espaces bien distincts pour le bonheur de chacun. Un dépaysement garanti de sérénité au cœur du pays basque.
Beautiful house, view and garden with high trees and flowers in a quiet area. Nice shaded lounge area with comfortable sofas for 8 people. We all loved this house even if it’s far away from bakery and shopping.

An incredible place to disconnect! The hosts treated us very well and took care very well that we did not lack anything. The house is very comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped and with very comfortable beds. All the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. You can tell that they have thought of everything and that they take care of the details with affection. We leave delighted and in love with the region and the environment that surrounds this dream house.
We have had a wonderful week. The children have spent almost the entire week in the pool and the adults some wonderful meals at Le Petite Coutures, Verteillac evening market and lunch at La Cour de Miracles. We've loved the views and the full moon rising over the forest was spectacular. Thanks for a lovely stay.
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette propriété. Tout était conforme à nos attentes et même mieux. Les propriétaires, Benedict et Pierre Balteau, étaient très sympathiques et accueillants. Nous avons hâte de revenir ici lors de notre prochaine visite dans le Languedoc, en Occitanie et nous recommanderons certainement cette propriété à nos amis et à notre famille. Un séjour dans un cottage impeccable avec petit jardin devant la maison et très grande piscine, attenant à la magnifique maison historique des propriétaires. Des hôtes charmants, très serviables en cas de besoin, mais par ailleurs discrets. Une région charmante avec beaucoup de choses à faire et à visiter. Je le recommande vivement pour des vacances reposantes.
We are a family of two adults and three teens and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Somail! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of space inside and out. The pool area is very sheltered and private - having the pool to cool us down on the hottest of days was certainly appreciated! We enjoyed being so close to the canal and seeing the boats sailing past, it’s a beautiful location. There is a good selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the house, yet the house was very peaceful and we were never disturbed by any noise from the restaurant next door. There were plenty of activities within an easy driving distance to keep us all amused for the duration of our stay including lakes, beaches and shopping. We hope we can return again, thank you for a wonderful holiday.
An incredibly magical week in this very special home. With such a large (chaotic!) group it was wonderful to have so much space that the energetic children had so much to keep them busy and even allowed the adults to feel like they had R and R! Very much hoping to be able to come back and explore more as we enjoyed it immensely!

Nous avons tous passé un moment fabuleux : nous avons profité du beau temps, exploré les environs, goûté aux délices des restaurants locaux et des fêtes de village/marchés nocturnes, participé aux fêtes médiévales (un moment particulièrement apprécié !) , et surtout, nous sommes reposés au bord de la piscine. This was our second visit to Villa Kali. It remains the best of all our summer visits to France. The villa is so well appointed and well placed for easy access to the superb area. It is extremely well looked after by both the owner and her local staff. The provision of everything one needs makes for a very relaxed holiday. We had no hesitation in booking this accommodation again and would not look elsewhere on subsequent visits. Most definitely a 5 from both of us.
Le plus parfait endroit pour des vacances en famille paisibles et réparatrices ! Les enfants comme les adultes se sont amusés à la salle de jeux, les jouets, la superbe piscine... nous avons tellement apprécié la qualité des équipements et la conception bien pensée de la maison que c'en est devenu une blague récurrente: "qu'est-ce que cette maison n'a pas ?!"
A beautiful house with a great view and pool. Very spacious and kitchen was fully equipped. The housekeeper was very responsive and provided great care. Would love to come back and definitely recommend for a remote getaway for a group of 7.
Thank you so so much for a wonderful stay we had a fantastic time and the house couldn't of been better suited to our needs it was great. And it was spotlessly clean. We managed to get out and about on lots of outings so we covered a huge area which is just what we wanted. Really good luck for the rest of the summer I hope things go well for you. We will see what happens next year but we really hope to see you again. Back to the rain in England I'm afraid! All the best.
