Wow! What a week, went so fast but was a truly special. The chateau is so grand with secrets to be found all around. Paul, Julie and Steven were amazing, taking us fishing and ensuring we had all we needed! I will miss this place and already want to come back!! Thank you!!
Piglet Barn is a wonderful place to stay and Annie and John have been such perfect hosts, and gave us such a warm welcome. Vouvant is a lovely and very friendly village and an easy walk from the Barn. We enjoyed visiting the restaurants and doing the local walks and exploring the area. The weather has been perfect so we loved the superb pool. I'm sure we will be back before too long.
This is a fabulous property and the hosts were just wonderful. I shall certainly be letting our friends and colleagues know of this magic place. We had a wonderful time, our hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed their company.
A beautiful property in a nice quiet location but still close to many interesting places to visit. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable and there was a lovely covered eating area outside. We also really loved the pool. We especially enjoyed canoeing on the Dordogne and visiting Domme and Le Jardin Marqueyssac. We also left something behind which Victoire kindly sent on to us.
The Villa is beautifully appointed and furnished to a very high standard .The kitchen has every appliance you could possibly need. The bedrooms are very spacious with private balconies and the aircon throughout the villa is a must in the French summer months. Outdoor the furniture is of a excellent (the nicest outdoor furniture I think we have ever used) and the front terrace benefits the sun for the whole day. There was so many outdoor terraces and seating areas, that we didn’t get chance to use all of them in our 2 weeks, but the main one was very spacious for us all to use. The BBQ was a Webber and very easy to use and came with spare gas bottles As regular visitors to the area we usually have the frustration of parking in Collioure and the traffic in and out as the season get busy, but as the Villa is only a 10 minute walk into Collioure, we were able to pop in and as we wanted which made the holiday even more relaxing. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone wanting a modern, well equipped, well maintained villa with easy access to Collioure

Vous avez transformé ce bâtiment en une maison des plus merveilleuses et, plus encore, en une maison accueillante et confortable, nous nous sentons privilégiés d'y avoir séjourné. Il ne nous manquait rien (sauf peut-être un peu plus de soleil et un peu moins de vent). Tous ceux qui nous y ont rejoint ont exprimé leur même appréciation. Merci beaucoup. Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique et reposante. Installations impeccables, hôtes formidables. Quel endroit magnifique ! Nous avons apprécié la piscine et la pétanque.

Une semaine merveilleuse pour nos trois générations, de 128 mois à 70 ans. Nous avons passé un très bon moment.
Une semaine incroyable passée en famille pour fêter un 50ème anniversaire. L'emplacement était parfait, calme mais proche des commodités telles qu'une belle boulangerie et des commerces. La propriété a tout : beaucoup de lieux où se détendre mais aussi beaucoup d'espace où se rejoindre et socialiser. Philippe était un hôte incroyable, il nous a présenté la propriété et l'emplacement, nous a apporté des pâtisseries deux fois pendant notre séjour. Belle visite des caves de Saint-Chinian et un dîner au Pourquoi Pas (qui était à tomber par terre pour ses produits et son emplacement). Je recommande vivement pendant votre séjour de faire une excursion en bateau sur le canal du Midi depuis Colombiers et une descente en kayak de l'Orb depuis Roquebun. Merci pour votre hospitalité.
Un havre de paix, une nature luxuriante dans un cadre reposant et une maison tellement agréable qu'on se croirait chez soi, décorée avec goût et charme. Vous nous reverrez très rapidement... Merci encore.
We are a family of two adults and three teens and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Somail! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of space inside and out. The pool area is very sheltered and private - having the pool to cool us down on the hottest of days was certainly appreciated! We enjoyed being so close to the canal and seeing the boats sailing past, it’s a beautiful location. There is a good selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the house, yet the house was very peaceful and we were never disturbed by any noise from the restaurant next door. There were plenty of activities within an easy driving distance to keep us all amused for the duration of our stay including lakes, beaches and shopping. We hope we can return again, thank you for a wonderful holiday.
We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. Un grand gîte familial avec beaucoup d'espace pour nous tous. Nous avons fait de belles balades par ici, aux gorges, à Orpierre et Rosans. Nous avond également réussi à intégrer des temps de farniente autour de la piscine, des bains de soleil et de la lecture. Des vacances parfaites ! J'espère revenir...

It's hard to know where to start with this wonderful home, the inside and outside are so special its impossible to choose a 'best bit'! I didn't know this part of France at all and whilst it was a wonderful discovery, the château itself stands head and shoulders above its surroundings (literally) with his jaw dropping views. 360 degrees of rolling hills, almost no building in sight and just the sheep and their charming bells the only signs of neighbours. The pictures simply can't do it justice. The house itself is extremely luxurious in its proportions and furnishings. The main difference to other holiday homes is that it is so evidently a comfortable home. We had one rainy day on our trip and the excuse to be inside for the evening with the fire and comfortable sofa's was a great treat. The mixed accommodation is wonderful, with the farm house next to the château and the two charming cottages in the grounds. Very much one for a gang of friends or large family. The owners provide some brilliant suggestions on what to do when venturing further afield - should you want to! But there seem to be endless possibilities, in our brief 10 days we discovered so much and feel we could happily come back every year for 10 years and still be finding new spots. The castle at Foix is an absolute must for children and for adults, if you don't want to go parachuting after your market trip to beautiful Mirepoix the Michelin restaurant 8 minutes away in Camon is a must. But equally with the tennis court, heated pool, choice of terraces to eat on, chapel, lake and boat it would be entirely possible to spend a happy week going no where at all. Perhaps apart from a trip down the drive to Olivier and Marielle's informal shop. Heaven.
Notre séjour à La Valentine a été un véritable plaisir. Un accueil chaleureux de Pierre et Claire a donné le ton à un séjour, détendu et agréable. Les plats à la pizzeria de la place du village local étaient excellents avec des locaux et un personnel sympathiques. Les excursions à Cassis ont été très amusantes, y compris des excursions vers les plages et la location d'une planche derrière l'office du tourisme. La nourriture au yacht club était délicieuse et un peu plus détendue que l'agitation de la ville. Dans l'ensemble, un séjour mémorable.
Beautifully converted and furnished house with two lovely gîtes, a swimming pool and terraces. The wide views over the vineyards are unprecedented. The owners again make something very beautiful !!!
C'était en effect un appartement de première classe, dans un superbe emplacement avec une belle vue sur la mer. Corinne et son mari éraient des hôtes parfaits: avec d'excellentes communications avant notre arrivée, puis ils ont été accueillants, sympathiques et très serviables pendant notre séjour, sans jamais être intrusifs. Nous avons apprécié l'intérieur moderne impeccable de l'appartement, la terrasse et toutes les petites attentions apportées par Corinne; nous avons profité de la proximité de nombreux restaurants et de la possibilité de nous promener de long du front de mer - ainsi que de profiter de la piscine sur le toit, de la plage et de la marina avec son ambiance unique. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et je recommande fortement.
Nous étions une famille de sept adultes et avons passé une semaine merveilleuse à Challignac. Mark et Gary sont vraiment des hôtes exceptionnels. Le gîte était magnifiquement présenté et d'une propreté impeccable. Tout le nécessaire avait été soigneusement mis à disposition, y compris un savon liquide de luxe: inutile donc d'apporter le vôtre. La cuisine était exceptionnellement bien équipée, avec tous les ustensiles et appareils électroménagers nécessaires. Et si quelque chose manquait, Mark et Gary se sont fait un plaisir de le fournir ! À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un généreux choix de fromages, charcuteries, pains, en-cas, vins, bières, boissons sans alcool, thé et café ; un accueil parfait qui nous a évité de courir faire les courses. L'espace piscine était tout simplement divin : une superbe piscine chauffée entourée de nombreux sièges extérieurs et d'une superbe cuisine extérieure. Tout était réuni pour se détendre et profiter. Même si la météo n'était pas toujours de notre côté, nous en avons profité pour explorer les villages et les grandes villes des environs. Nous avons dégusté de délicieux repas dans les restaurants recommandés par nos hôtes. Dans l'ensemble, tout le monde s'est bien amusé et nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Un grand merci à Mark et Gary !
Je voulais juste dire que nous avons passé ion séjour fantastique dans votre belle maison, l'espace et les prestations ont rendu ces vacances très agréables. Merci! Robert a facilité notre séjour, répondant toujours présent pour le moindre conseil ou aide et s'assurant aussi bien à notre arrivée qu'à notre départ que la maison était parfaite. Merci.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room.
