Had a great fortnight in Les Sphynx de Pézenas. Everything you want really. Recommend Chez Paul, Les Entre Pots and Ou es tu Ginger (veggie food) in the local area to eat. Marina Bay at Marseillan Plage - great food and lovely views. All in all a great location and house.
Your house is beautiful. So peaceful and delightfully decorated. We had a fab holiday exploring the area. The pool was glorious and the gardens, too. The morning view and sounds from the open window will never be forgotten.

What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. Thank you Katie for letting us share your French home.
We have spent a hot and relaxing week at your lovely villa, it is extremely comfortable and the children have loved playing in the pool each day.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la piscine quand il faisait chaud, le barbecue la plupart des soirs et l'exploration de la ville. Nous avons également adoré découvrir les villes voisines. Le kayak a été un moment fort. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
Je veux vraiment garder ce bijou caché pour moi ! C’est super. L’appartement est ce que nous souhaitons tous avoir. Deux chambres avec lits doubles. Belle vue sur la mer depuis le balcon. Parking privé. Endroit privé avec chaises côté mer. Beach club très proche. Relaxant et facile de communiquer avec le propriétaire Paul. À l’arrivée, Ben était là avec les clés et beaucoup de conseils sur la région. Réservation arrangée, etc. Très facile d’accès et super serviable. Donc n’y allez pas car nous voulons y aller plus souvent !
Nous avons passé deux semaines absolument merveilleuses. Une superbe propriété, entretenue avec amour par Danielle, et une hôte formidable et serviable. Nous avons fait de belles excursions dans les villages et villes des environs, mais quel plaisir de retrouver la piscine accueillante à notre retour, surtout durant la vague de chaleur intense que nous avons connue.
Jean and Martyn have created a wonderful place to come for a relaxing holiday. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Providing 3 fridges was a brilliant idea and the house had great Wi-Fi! The pool was spotless and warm and the pool area was lovely- just across from the house, but not overlooked. The gardens are beautiful and the outside patio and kitchen were fab. We loved the short stroll to the village for bread. It’s a wonderful location. Highly recommended.

We are the first guests ever. We stayed 2 weeks. We were welcomed so kindly and friendly. The hosts you can ask everything. They are very helpful. The house is big but for 12 to 15 people very spacious. We were 3 families. Enough space. Everything is in the house. You don't have to bring anything. Outside the swimming pool is great. The 6 children were very happy. Great garden with tomatoes and figues. Thank you very much! It was excellent / super.
Beautiful, very well kept and maintained. Amazing for kids Stunning pool and poolside, children's toy room was perfect for boys and girls, a great range of toys. All extra bedding, baby products etc; great. Fab daily service, friendly. Great local advice. Very easy, relaxing process. You both have a lovely manner with all guests which made the stay very enjoyable.
Somewhere special. From the moment we arrived at Le Manoir des Fouilloux we knew it was somewhere special. The attention to detail in every little corner of the beautiful and spacious house and grounds are the result of great vision and an enormous labour of love by its delightful owners Ian and Hugh. Le Manoir exudes a classic, elegant style, with some fun and quirky touches and is luxurious throughout, whilst also allowing you to feel truly relaxed and pampered. You are really spoilt for choice with so many quiet corners to sit, read, relax, snooze, chat and drink rosé as well as several areas to enjoy sunny or shady breakfasts, long lunches and suppers. With a 10 and 13 year old in tow and temperatures of up to 37 degrees, we spent a large part of our time around the stunning pool Hugh and Ian have created. Not wanting to be too lazy though, there are plenty of things to do very close by – kayaking, tree top climbing and river swimming can all be done from St Aulaye and Aubeterre is also well worth a visit. Ian and Hugh are the most thoughtful and considerate hosts and should be rightly proud of the tranquil haven they have created. This was quite possibly the best family holiday we have had and we hope to return one day to enjoy it all over again! Thank you all.
Des gens et une maison magnifiques. La maison et le paysage sont magnifiques et l'endroit très bien situé, profitant à la fois de la vie rurale tranquille et des équipements et événements culturels de Carcassonne, la ville voisine.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. It hardly seems like any time at all since we arrived a fortnight past. Time flies when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have so appreciated your wonderful hospitality once more - not least the delicious bacon sandwiches! And what splendid lunches we had with two new restaurants we must definitely visit next time as we are already booked in with you for the three of us next June. We especially enjoyed exploring your beautiful garden during our stay this time. A l’annee procaine!
Thank you so much for a relaxing week - it was just what we needed! The Loft is truly exceptional and Oscar has loved playing in the garden. Visits to Narbonne, Carcassonne and the Sigean Animal Reserve were great. The highlight for us was the Gouffe de Cabesprine caves - a must see!
The house is beautiful - amazing views, wonderful pool, very comfortable beds. We had a fantastic time - didn't see as much of the area as planned - as everyone so happy playing in pool!
Sur notre liste des choses à faire dans notre vie, nous avons écrit des vacances avec toute la famille qui se compose de 13 personnes. Nous avons choisi de séjourner à la Bastide qui nous a semblé un choix parfait. Nous avions l'espace dont nous avions besoin, beaucoup de chambres, de salles de bain et toilettes. La villa était entièrement équipée. Nous avons eu quelques problèmes mais Thomas, notre hôte, a tout résolu au plus vite. Notre groupe comptait enfants, adolescents et adultes et nous avons tous apprécié notre séjour car nous avions de nombreuses possibilités à côté de la piscine exceptionnelle de la maison. Randonnées dans les environs, pêche dans le lac à proximité, billard, baby-foot, ping-pong. Et bien sûr nous avons beaucoup utilisé les BBQ tout en dégustant les merveilleux vins du domaine. Merci Thomas pour vos efforts pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible. Fortement recommandé pour de précieuses vacances inoubliables garanties.
Stylish, well-equipped 'home from home' house in a great location. Narbonne is a delightful town with many good facilities. The pool and outside is a real bonus. We had a very good stay.
I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.
We met, as a family of eleven, to celebrate two eighty's birthdays and a twenty sixth at Christmas time in this lovely home,and what a glorious time we had together. Many thanks.
