Our family loved staying in this farmhouse. We couldn't get the kids out of the pool, the sunsets were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the birds fly all around us. It was a great place to come home to after a full day of sightseeing. Very relaxing!

Le Château Mézard est une propriété magnifique et constitue certainement le décor de vacances en famille des plus mémorables. Je comprends bien pourquoi vous parliez tantôt du château avec tant d'affection. Notre groupe s'est rassemblé pour célébration spéciale avec la famille proche. Nous étions donc mélangés en termes d'âges et centres d'intérêt, mais le château offrait le cadre idéal pour répondre à tous nos intérêts, des plus petits aux adultes parmi nous. Les enfants se sont énormément amusés dans et autour de la piscine. Personnellement, j'ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à me promener dans les magnifiques jardins et à admirer des paysages à couper le souffle. Laurent, Didier et Rachel ont fait de leur mieux pour que nous passions un merveilleux moment et rien n'était trop leur demander.

Notre séjour ici est excellent : nous avons tout ce dont nous avons besoin pour passer d'excellentes vacances dans votre maison très confortable avec une vue fantastique mais relaxante sur les tournesols et les Pyrénées. This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! Thank you Ian and Hugh, you have created something very special!

Spent a weekend here in September 2023. The domaine has been very skilfully and tastefully converted into a very luxurious residence with swimming pool! The overwhelming tranquillity, the beautiful gites, the stunning surroundings combined with the care of the perfect hosts ensures that you can completely unwind and enjoy to the max! You will want to come back here again and again!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here in Vouvant. Piglet Barn is an excellent mix of loveliness with all your touches and thoughtfulness to make a stay so welcoming and enjoyable. On top of this, we have had the delight of wine, peaches, home-made almond cake and two evening apéros in your wonderful company.
A fantastic two week stay. The house is extremely homely and comfortable with more than enough room for four adults and threes kids. The pool is a great size for family fun - adults and kids alike made the most of it.
Merci pour ces vacances merveilleusement relaxantes et confortables au Mas Saint-Martial ! Nous sommes une famille de quatre personnes avec des adolescents (plus un chien) et nous avons passé 2 semaines fabuleuses à la maison. La piscine était le point culminant - chauffée, eau salée et entièrement fermée pour la sécurité - des moments fantastiques en famille et des souvenirs créés en jouant ensemble. Le terrain de pétanque, de badminton et le barbecue étaient également d'excellents moyens de nous divertir. Les propriétaires vivent une partie de l'année dans la maison voisine et sont extrêmement réactifs, solidaires et accueillants tout en vous laissant suffisamment d'espace pour profiter de l'isolement et de la paix des lieux. En termes de restaurants, il y a beaucoup d'endroits à des prix très raisonnables à une courte distance en voiture - il y a aussi beaucoup de bons endroits à visiter - Aubeterre (avec un parcours de golf de 9 trous) et Brantôme étaient des points forts pour nous. Nous avons même marché jusqu'au restaurant local de 5 plats Chez Moran, qui était incroyable et pas cher! Leurs événements nocturnes occasionnels avec de la musique et le fourgon fish and chips sont très amusants. Un vrai bijou, ce lieu. Merci!
Carole et Jean-Luc ont créé une merveilleuse maison tranquille. C'est de loin la mieux équipée que nous ayons jamais louée - par exemple, la cuisine ne manque absolument de rien du tout ! Elle est très bien située et juste à une courte distance en voiture des attractions locales (par exemple Grasse, Mons, Callian, etc.) ainsi qu'à une courte distance de la Riviera. Nos hôtes ont été d'une grande aide lorsque nous leur avons demandé conseil, et nous espérons qu'un jour nous pourrons revenir.
What an amazing place and fantastic hosts, Hugh and Ian have given our family the perfect holiday. Thank you so much. The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!
Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.
Absolutely beautiful - all of it! I ran in the grounds every morning before it was too hot! Loved the high ceilings and shutters. Beautiful rooms and space for everyone. Loved have the huge living room. Obviously the pool and beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped kitchen and playroom for the kids and adults! Kitchen was brilliant . Loved the range and outdoor dining area next to the pond. Easy to cook for all needs. The owners have been the best hosts (from a distance). Kind and full of knowledge and tips. They have not elevated our holiday. Thank you fo much. I would not hesitate to return!
Ma famille et moi avons passé une semaine fabuleuse à la Maison de Saint-Jean. La maison est spacieuse et bien équipée dans un endroit calme avec un accès facile aux lieux d'intérêt. Il a de grands lits. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la grande piscine qui est bien équipée avec des parasols et un barbecue. Il y a un bon restaurant à quelques pas. La maison a également une vue imprenable.
A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
It's hard to put into words how pretty Maison Rohmer and the surroundings are. The interior decor is very luxurious and tasteful and the house and setting is a dream. The Luberon/Haut-Vaucluse region is a lovely place to stay - well within reach of all of Provence's jewels - and provided our family with an excellent base. It the perfect place to both launch ourselves into the countryside to climb Mount Ventoux and visit the vineyards of Beaumes-de-Venise, or simply relax by the pool. During our stay, Aries (the property manager) visited a few times to keep the garden looking perfect and clean the pool and he was also extremely useful in giving ideas for things to do in the local area... like the evening market in Coustellet, which we would have never known otherwise. The owner, was also very patient and helpful in answering all of my queries! A perfect week in Provence.
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
Une vieille bâtisse dans un lieu un peu isolé où il règne une tranquillité et un calme voulue. Une maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût ! Une piscine ensoleillée du matin au soir idéale pour se détendre et bronzer avec juste un coin d'ombre où il fait bon se poser et profiter. Des hôtes discrets, agréables et aux petits soins pour ses invités !
Couldn't keep the kids out of the pool it was so warm, especially in the evening when we sat on the terrace next to the pool with a glass of rosé. Everyone loved the roof terrace with its views. Thanks for a very warm welcome.
Nous attendions beaucoup de ces vacances et nous n'avons pas été déçus. La propriété est un véritable joyau historique dans une région chargée d'histoire. Dès notre arrivée, accueillis par un couple avec qui vous sembliez être amis depuis toujours, le stress du quotidien s'est envolé. Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme chez nous et avons rapidement planifié notre prochain séjour. De l'extérieur, le gîte est digne d'une carte postale et aucun détail n'a été négligé. L'intérieur conserve son charme historique, tout en offrant toutes les commodités nécessaires pour vous éviter de vivre le style de vie médiéval de nombreux hébergements ruraux en France. Les chambres sont joliment décorées avec goût et disposent de grandes salles de bain et douches (à l'étage et au rez-de-chaussée). La piscine privée est superbe et nous en étions les seuls occupants. Ses eaux claires, sous les pins et sous un ciel bleu, étaient idylliques. Difficile de détacher ma femme du bord de la piscine. Le gîte s'intègre parfaitement dans une région d'une beauté exceptionnelle, où la plupart des sites que nous souhaitions visiter se trouvent à seulement quelques minutes. Les propriétaires étaient très accueillants et nous ont donné de bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter, sans être envahissants, ce qui nous a permis de profiter d'une intimité totale. Nous avons apprécié chaque instant de notre séjour et nous le recommandons chaudement. Si vous souhaitez visiter la région, découvrir les 1 000 châteaux et les innombrables sites préhistoriques, ou simplement vous détendre au bord de la piscine, cet endroit est fait pour vous. Whaou! La première fois que j'ai vu les photos je l'ai trouvé splendide, mais quand nous sommes arrivés, c'était encore plus magnifique. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Debbie et Brent sont d'une gentillesse absolue et nous ont fait nous sentir les bienvenus. Les jardins sont si pittoresques! C'était nos premières vacances avec notre enfant d'1 an et nous ne pouvions pas rêver mieux comme vacances. Merci La Bastide!
Your wonderful villa exceeded our expectations which were already extremely high.
Deux semaines super dans cette charmante villa. Emplacement fantastique pour explorer la région de Marseillan. Mèze est un must, super déjeuner chez Noilly Prat, café à Mèze. Nous avons passé de nombreuses heures heureuses dans la grande piscine. Merci.
Magnifique maison pour des vacances en famille, commodités de plain-pied et belle piscine avec bonne protection par alarme. Également un endroit idéal pour profiter de l'extérieur avec machine à pizza, barbecue et cuisine fonctionnelle très facile à utiliser. Beaucoup d'espaces salons extérieurs ombragés. La climatisation dans les chambres était un avantage considérable par temps chaud. De beaux meubles et nous nous sentions chez nous dans cette maison de famille heureuse. Accès facile à la boulangerie, au supermarché et au restaurant local, le tout à moins de 5 minutes à pied. Merci.
