Merveilleux ! Je n'écris presque jamais de critiques - mais c'était merveilleux. Super endroit. Facile d'accès à pied en ville et en même temps très proche de grands sites historiques. Nous avons adoré la décoration et les jardins et la piscine étaient tout simplement magnifiques. Nous reviendrons! Je recommande vivement.

From the warm welcome on the first day to our chats, drinks and little contacts throughout the week, you have been as much a highlight of our holiday as the wonderful home. And that is no mean feat... The Piglet Barn is immaculate throughout and has felt like our own home in this beautiful village. You and your friends around town have made us feel so welcome. We have honestly felt so privileged to have met you and we will absolutely be raving about you to friends and family when we get home.
A wonderful villa in a stunning location, plenty of sightseeing within driving distance. A fantastic holiday for a 3 month old boy and all the family.

Beautiful setting and the grounds are marvellous. So relaxing and the pool area is perfect for long sunny afternoons. Kitchen is really well appointed. Bed linen feels fresh and your home is spotless - a big thumbs up! Playroom was a huge hit. You have a wonderful property, but your kindness and generosity of spirit went a long way in making us all feel very welcome.
What an amazing place and fantastic hosts, Hugh and Ian have given our family the perfect holiday. Thank you so much. The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!
On se sent vraiment dans une maison de famille, ce que cette maison doit être à mon avis. Les enfants étaient tres heureux de découvrir une malle pleine de jouets et de doudous, des déguisements pour se croire au Moyen-Âge, des tonnes de jeux de société, de livres pour petits et grands, de DVD. La maison est rendue très agréable par son aménagement qui fait que l on peut être nombreux tout en préservant chacun son intimité. Enfin nous avons apprécié la vue à couper le souffle chaque soir sur la vallée et la matin au réveil sur le château après être allés chercher nos croissants à pied. Je recommande également le marché du lundi matin et les nombreuses attractions le soir.
J'ai séjourné au Château Bellevue avec ma famille et quelques amis l'été dernier. C'était magique ! Dès que nous avons franchi l'allée, passé la piscine et aperçu la maison, j'étais impatiente d'explorer le château et ses jardins. J'ai séjourné dans l'une des « chambres d'enfants » à l'étage, de magnifiques pièces avec de nombreux livres. Je passais mes journées à jouer avec mes amis dans le parc. Nous aimions particulièrement nous allonger à l'ombre des vieux chênes pour discuter et, le soir, nous adorions jouer à l'un des nombreux jeux de société. La plage, les montagnes et les jolis petits villages sont tout près et magnifiques.
Quel plaisir ce fut de trouver cette magnifique maison dans un endroit aussi merveilleux. Le bonus supplémentaire était la propriétaire, Mme W, qui était si chaleureuse et accueillante et n'aurait pas pu être plus serviable. Il y avait une mine d'informations sur la région disponible à la maison, mais avant d'arriver à la maison, Sharon nous avait armés de toutes les instructions et informations pratiques qui rendent les vacances tellement plus faciles et relaxantes. La maison est équipée de tout ce que vous pourriez souhaiter (et probablement plus) ! Nous aimons cuisiner et il n'y a jamais eu un ustensile de cuisine ou une pièce d'équipement qui n'était pas à portée de main. Si vous n'aimez pas ou ne souhaitez pas cuisiner, n'ayez crainte, les magasins et les marchés locaux offrent tout ce dont vous avez besoin et dans les environs, il existe un large éventail de restaurants si vous souhaitez faire préparer un repas pour vous. Nous avons également pris note d'un certain nombre de titres de livres à rechercher lorsque nous rentrerons à la maison en fonction de la «bibliothèque» de livres de la maison. Je recommanderais de lire un livre assis sur l'un des nombreux sièges de fenêtre en s'imprégnant de la vue! Nous voyagions avec la famille élargie et avec tant d'espaces de détente supplémentaires, cela signifiait que nous avions tous notre propre espace quand nous en avions besoin et que nous pouvions nous réunir quand nous le voulions. Il s'agit donc d'une maison qui répond aux besoins d'une famille nombreuse/élargie ou d'un groupe d'amis. Bien que nous n'ayons pas eu un temps torride, nous avons utilisé la piscine et après une journée de visites, c'était rafraîchissant. Encore une fois, le sens de l'humour, la chaleur et la volonté de Sharon d'aider de toutes les manières possibles nous ont permis de tirer le meilleur parti de nos vacances en Lauguedoc. Je ne saurais trop recommander la Maison Charvin !

Piglet is the prfect spot to visit all the graet spots in the Vendée, our favourite being La Rochelle and the Belugas beach. There are wonderful touches of luxury at the house; beautiful linens, towels and bathrobes. Vouvant is a charming and beautiful village. definitely a fabulous find !
My recent stay at this charming villa in Duras this summer, was nothing short of exceptional. Accommodation: This lovely and very comfortable villa has a rustic charm and a very tasteful decor. Our rooms were cozy and spacious, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Whether we were lounging along the swimming pool, in the beautifully landscaped garden, or sipping Rosé on the terrace as the sun set over the vineyards, or cooking in a very pleasant and well equipped kitchen, every moment felt like a blissful escape. The attention to detail in every aspect of the villa created an ambiance of warmth and relaxation that was truly unparalleled. Location: The village and the castle of Duras are simply enchanting. Everything is at a waking distance and Duras offers a lot of fun activities : visit of the castle, genuinely impressive medieval jousts., light and sounds spectacles explaining the long and fascinating history of the region projected on the walls of the castle, group hikes in nature, tastings of local (and delicious) food. At night, the village organizes concerts where dancing is more than encouraged! And the traditional open air market is a wonderful experience. There was always something new and fun to discover. I cannot recommend this beautiful gem highly enough and look forward to returning again this summer!

We arrived at a large house that matched well and even more to what the photos showed. This is the first time we have found a vacation rental with so many dishes and kitchen supplies. As we were a large family with a few small children, this environment greatly favored the well-being of our stay. We sincerely thank our host for this generous sharing.

Stunning - amazing space in and out with many places for children and adults to hide! Great, from well equipped kitchen to playroom. Childproofed but still lots of fun toys for dry and wet days. Nous sommes trois couples de la soixantaine venant du Colorado aux États-Unis qui aiment voyager, en particulier en Europe. Au cours des trois dernières années, nous avons voyagé en Italie, au Portugal, en Espagne et en France. Nous nous définirions comme des voyageurs indépendants appréciant le processus de recherche de destinations, de lieux de séjour, de location de voitures et de sorties pour découvrir toujours plus ce grand monde. Cela signifie bien sûr se perdre de temps en temps, trouver des restaurants fabuleux ou passables, et réserver des maisons ou des chambres d'hôtes. Mes cinq principales raisons d'aimer la Maison Charvin incluent : 5. Si après avoir voyagé dans de nombreuses régions du monde, vous trouvez que plus petit peut être meilleur, Maison Charvin (MC) est un excellent choix. Situé dans le village de Montlaur où il y a une petite épicerie et quelques autres petits commerces, les gens sont sympathiques et on se sent en sécurité. Il n'est pas trop loin d'un certain nombre de bonnes destinations. 4. Quatre chambres, toutes ensuite. Comme nous n'avons plus la vingtaine, nous préférons le confort et les commodités ! Les lits étaient confortables et chaque couple avait son propre espace tranquille. Nous préférons louer une chambre supplémentaire, donc, comme cela s'est produit lors de ce voyage, si une personne tombe malade ou souffre du décalage horaire et se réveille à 4 heures du matin, il y a une chambre supplémentaire. 3. Cuisine entièrement équipée. Vous pouvez chercher un article étrange comme un presse-ail en doutant qu'il y en ait un, et hop, le voilà, il y avait toujours ce dont nous avions besoin ! Je n'ai jamais séjourné dans un endroit où la cuisine était aussi bien équipée. 2. Valeur - valeur incroyable pour un séjour d'une semaine. Nous avons séjourné pendant le tarif basse saison, mais en regardant les tarifs, ce serait un bon rapport qualité-prix à tout moment de l'année. 1. Le propriétaire, Sharon. Dès le début des communications, elle a été utile et opportune dans ses réponses par courrier électronique à mes demandes de renseignements. Et toujours avec beaucoup d'humour. Plus tôt, j'ai mentionné que nous avions une maladie. Sharon nous a emmené ma femme et moi chez son médecin, a attendu avec nous, a traduit pour nous et est allée à la pharmacie pour s'assurer que nous recevions les bons médicaments. Il était facile de voir qu'elle voulait que ses clients aient la meilleure expérience possible. Si vous recherchez les petites villes du sud-ouest de la France, assurez-vous de visiter la Maison Charvin !
Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. Mia, 7 years old We have had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. I loved playing in the swimming pool with my nanny, grandad, sister and my 2 cousins. The market in Duras is definitely worth a visit with lots of lovely things to see and buy. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we have.

Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.
Nous sommes maintenant de retour chez nous et je tenais à vous adresser mes plus sincères remerciements pour votre accueil à la Maison de Saint-Jean. Votre maison est magnifique. Elle allie le charme d'un ancien corps de ferme au confort d'équipements modernes et stylés. Nous étions 6 mais la maison peut accueillir 8 personnes. Ce sont surtout les extérieurs que nous avons adorés. Même si le temps n'était pas très confortable cet été, nous avons apprécié le très grand jardin, la vue étendue et la piscine chauffée. Nous reviendrons certainement car la région vaut encore quelques détours et votre maison est le point de chute idéal pour la visiter. À bientôt.
