Château magnifique, que ce soit au niveau du cadre, du mobilier, du confort, de l'équipement. Nous avons passé un séjour parfait, avec de bonnes recommandations, un très bon accueil... Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu exceptionnel ! Merci encore à vous deux.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. Nous nous sentons tous très privilégiés d'avoir séjourné dans une maison aussi magnifique. Dès le début, nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus dans cette vraie maison, pas une simple location de vacances. L'endroit est vraiment magnifique et apaisant pour recharger ses batteries et visiter une région fantastique. Gastronomie et vin ont été appréciés de tous.
We have had a fabulous week. Weather brilliant. Amazing house, pool, views, olive grove. Perfect. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay in your beautiful villa. We particularly the swimming pool to cool down. We really enjoyed the surrounding scenery in which we star gazed in every evening. We really liked the films and games upstairs in the evening. La vue depuis l'appartement est plus époustouflante que ce que les photos peuvent capturer, tout comme la piscine. L'espace extérieur est confortable et relaxant avec vue sur la mer. L'appartement était très propre et équipé de toutes les commodités dont on peut avoir besoin pour des vacances. Il y a de nombreux restaurants à quelques pas, un fabuleux supermarché où tout vous procurer juste en face et l'appartement n'est également qu'à quelques pas de la gare pour des excursions d'une journée à Cannes, Antibes, Nice voire au-delà. L'arrêt de bus pour l'aéroport est également très proche. Il n'y a rien à redire sur l'appartement. C'était parfait à tous points de vue.
Deux semaines super dans cette charmante villa. Emplacement fantastique pour explorer la région de Marseillan. Mèze est un must, super déjeuner chez Noilly Prat, café à Mèze. Nous avons passé de nombreuses heures heureuses dans la grande piscine. Merci.

My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Qui aurait cru que vous pourriez nager tous les jours en avril ? Cette fabuleuse piscine était vraiment le point fort. L'appartement est bien équipé et d'une propreté impeccable. Le village se trouve à quelques pas et il y a une excellente épicerie ELeclerc à quelques minutes en voiture. (Vous aurez besoin d'une voiture si vous avez l'intention d'aller quelque part une fois arrivé. Procurez-vous une petite voiture non électrique.) Nous avons déjà réservé notre prochain séjour.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette belle maison spacieuse. La piscine et l'espace extérieur sont absolument incroyables. De plus, il y a beaucoup de beaux endroits à visiter à distance de conduite. Nous recommandons fortement !

Maison très agréable, idéale pour un week-end en famille car chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain et une chambre idéal pour des personnes âgées. La deco est de très bon goût, nous avons passé un excellent week-end. Merci Christophe. À une prochaine fois
Une quinzaine de jours agréables ici à Ventenac-en-Minervois. La maison et ses superbes équipements sont conformes à la description et tout est en parfait état. Nous avons apprécié le repas à la « Grillade du Château » : une excellente viande cuite au feu de bois, tout en nous laissant divertir par leurs poules ! Nous avons également exploré les villages le long du Canal du Midi, Homps et Le Somail, et visité le village médiéval de Lagrasse, un endroit magnifique. Merci à nos excellents hôtes, Eric et Dominique, qui ont été extrêmement serviables et réactifs à toutes nos questions. Nous recommandons cet endroit pour des vacances reposantes et confortables.
In 25 years of renting houses for our summer holidays, Château Mabrouke truly topped the lot! Ed and Katie have kept it as a family home which gives the house a lovely ambiance and makes it so welcoming and interesting. We loved the artworks, both in the house and the garden. The guide to the house, helpfully shared in advance, was comprehensive. It meant we weren't struggling to work anything out for ourselves and the information on the local area was really helpful. The local team gave us a lovely welcome too and looked after us flawlessly throughout our stay. The rooms all have great character and were very comfortable indeed. The hilltop setting gives outstanding vistas all round and the terraces surrounding the house and pool offered the best of the sun at all points of the day, particularly sunsets at dinner. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the cooker is fabulous. Martin and Philippa, who Katie recommended, cooked a wonderful meal for us and were thoroughly engaging company. There is so much to do, in and around the house and in the local area, that it was hard to do it all justice in a mere two weeks. A day's white water rafting and kayaking with Eau Vive at Foix was a big highlight.
Thanks Kate and Franz for creating such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Enjoying tea and coffee on our last morning we were joined by 2 deer - a lovely last moment. We are going to miss the house, the swimming pool and the beautiful meadow. Our highlights are Montcuq market, spending time in Lauzerte and Montpazier, two very pretty places. We have had some great food, especially at Le Caillau. It has been a special summer for our children, who have both had to endure exams and so it is fantastic that we as a family have been able to spend time together in this wonderful place. So pleased to have met you both and of course the little Lotte. Love from us all.
We have had a wonderful two weeks here, enjoying all the area has to offer and the house including the swimming pool, pool and table tennis tables A huge thank you to Sam for cooking us an amazing meal in, one evening, fantastic food and value for money. We loved the house and enjoyed watching the Vultures in the hills, sampling local wines and olives, cafe du centre in Villedieu, Vaison la romaine and Seguret were all great. Thank you.
We spent a beautiful 2 weeks here! We felt at home in this fabulous house. La Baie du Lac was a real favourite. We really hope to return.
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances à la villa. La villa est idéale, spacieuse et joliment décorée. Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et la table de ping-pong ! C'est une base idéale pour visiter la région. Le marché de Pézenas est à ne pas manquer. Nous avons navigué sur bateau, monté des chevaux, loué des vélos à Marseillan et vu des flamants roses ! Encore de belles vacance passée dans cette région. La maison nous a offert tout ce dont nous avions besoin, tout comme les photos et les descriptions l'avaient montré. Le standing autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur était fantastique. Souvent en France, les piscines peuvent être un peu éloignées de la maison/des espaces communs extérieurs, mais c'était un aménagement fantastique pour que tout le monde puisse en profiter toute la journée et toute la soirée. La piscine était la meilleure partie, en très bon état et a procuré des heures de plaisir aux enfants et aux adultes, tout comme la salle de jeux. La maison était très spacieuse et toutes les installations/équipements fournis étaient idéaux. La petite promenade dans le village à travers les champs pour notre pain et nos gâteaux du matin et la proximité de Duras et d'Eymet (les villes que nous aimons visiter) en faisaient un endroit idéal.
Very nice stay in a beautiful house. The unit is ideally located by the Canal du Midi. There are many activities to do in the area (hikes, water sports, tastings, ...). The hosts are lovely and available. We particularly appreciated the many recommendations for discovering the region. The accommodation is well decorated, spacious and well-equipped. The pool is large and not overlooked. The bedding is also nice. A big plus is the number of bathrooms that makes it easy for a large group to get organized. We had a great time in a fantastic setting with a rare value for money. We'll be happy to go back! Thanks again!
Je veux vraiment garder ce bijou caché pour moi ! C’est super. L’appartement est ce que nous souhaitons tous avoir. Deux chambres avec lits doubles. Belle vue sur la mer depuis le balcon. Parking privé. Endroit privé avec chaises côté mer. Beach club très proche. Relaxant et facile de communiquer avec le propriétaire Paul. À l’arrivée, Ben était là avec les clés et beaucoup de conseils sur la région. Réservation arrangée, etc. Très facile d’accès et super serviable. Donc n’y allez pas car nous voulons y aller plus souvent !

Séjour extra dans un cadre idyllique! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour d'une semaine en famille. Les hôtes sont charmants et très disponibles. La maison est très agréable à vivre et la literie excellente! La piscine est superbe, le pool house également... en clair, une semaine parfaite!
Tortoise name suggestions:- Sherman Victor Esio Trot (anagram for tortoise + book +TV show!) Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory TV). We have enjoyed a wonderful week in your stunning house. Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.
