Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back
Duras... I love cooking, the kitchen is wonderful and the city's market place is perfect for organising the perfect dinner.. the perfect kitchen is ready to prepare the table... the outdoor patio... the splendid terrace with a view of the valley or a dip in the swimming pool whilst having a barbecue!
Un havre de paix, une nature luxuriante dans un cadre reposant et une maison tellement agréable qu'on se croirait chez soi, décorée avec goût et charme. Vous nous reverrez très rapidement... Merci encore.
Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.

Lovely property and surrounding grounds. We enjoyed the pool enormously with everything you provide and also the countryside here.
Nous avions tous hâte de séjourner à La Barde rien que pour son emplacement et de voir les belles photos. La réalité était encore meilleure et tout simplement parfaite pour deux familles de cinq personnes. Il y a une merveilleuse sensation de jardin secret et nous étions entourés du meilleur du début de l'été dans le jardin. La maison a une belle ambiance décontractée et élégante avec une immense cuisine, des chambres spacieuses et un grand salon confortable que nous n'avons jamais eu besoin d'utiliser. La terrasse ombragée à l'extérieur de la cuisine avec des roses et du jasmin et de nombreux endroits où s'asseoir et lézarder étaient au centre des « activités » et de merveilleux emplacements pour chaque repas. Les baignades matinales au parfum de jasmin et de lavande étaient un régal particulier et il y a eu d'innombrables défis de ping-pong, de badminton (et de bronzage). L'emplacement de la Barde est parfait pour profiter de la vie locale, des marchés, du canoë et Périgueux n'est qu'à une heure. Nous avons adoré le bar Lusignac. Vous ne serez pas surpris de lire que nous revenons cette année !
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on La Picholine. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.
Le propriétaire nous a chaleureusement accueillis. Sa maison avec cuisine ouverte est très agréable. La piscine est très grande et on peut vraiment nager. Pour les familles, la maison est pratique, il y a des jouets pour la piscine et des ballons. Nous avons passé une semaine agréable dans la propriété.
Nous avons passés un agréable séjour en famille domaine exceptionnel decoration avec goût tres bien équipé conforme au descriptif Sandie est tres disponible et tres agréable je recommande sans problème. Merci.
David et Natalie ont été d'excellents hôtes. Il était facile de communiquer avec eux, il était facile de communiquer, et ils avaient vraiment pensé à tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour passer un séjour agréable. Je dois dire que le jardin et la piscine ont dépassé nos espérances. Nous reviendrons certainement et recommanderions la maison à d'autres.
We had to wait a long time for our much anticipated return visit to your wonderful villa - and it did not disappoint. We have had the best time, Sophia enjoyed the pool (as we all did). Great place to explore this fabulous area, a boat trip to Saint-Tropez and Port Grimaud plus two beaches. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to coming back for a third time.
We had an amazing family holiday in the house, brilliantly equipped for all ages. Mel was great both before and after the holiday. The pool was lovely and warm with lots of inflatables, sun loungers etc. Would love to go back.

We just wanted to say how impressed we were with the house we rented through Pure France. We have rented a lot of houses both in the UK and overseas and I think this was definitely one of the very best. It was so well equipped - not just in terms of entertainment but all the items in the house (especially in the kitchen) and home comforts and the swimming pool was perfect. We are so glad we found it and we had an excellent week.
Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour à la Maison Estephe et avons pensé que le village et ses environs étaient l'un des plus beaux endroits où nous soyons allés en France. Au fil des années, nous sommes allés dans presque tous les départements de France mais jamais à Pézenas. En fait, cela nous a tellement plu que nous envisageons de quitter le Limousin pour la région de Pézenas. La maison était charmante et très confortable en effet.
A challenging end of year led to my very last minute search for somewhere special to stay for Christmas. We jumped for joy when your Loft showed as available for 8 days arriving on Christmas Eve. Throughout the five hour drive from Cannes, I stressed about finding a tree and decorations to make the holiday perfect. To my utter AMAZEMENT, the Loft had been fully decorated beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for all your very thoughtful and generous touches. As a seriously experienced traveller, I can assure you that exceptionally few hosts go to the same lengths as yourselves. You made our Christmas very SPECIAL and, dare I say, UNFORGETTABLE! Thank you so much - keep on keepin’ on! Christmas 2022.
At Les Oliviers du Sud we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!

We were able to have a great week with friends at this house, which matched the photos perfectly. The host is very accommodating and accommodating. Amenities are complete, different living spaces are spacious, the pool area is a real plus. I'd recommend it!
From the moment we arrived to the warm welcome until our final evening, we have loved every second of our stay. Your helpful advice and local knowledge have been invaluable. The house could not be in a better location, fabulous views and only minutes from the bakery. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Our stay here was the highlight of our recent trip to the South of France. From the minute we drove through the gates we were impressed by the beautiful gardens, house and pool. It is truly a magnificent French retreat and estate. I couldn't recommend the house more highly and I am already planning another trip there soon.
This is certainly the most tranquil villa I have ever stayed in. The pool and garden are quite lovely. Very hard to pull ourselves away. The area is wonderful. Finally I understand why so many people relocate to the Languedoc-Roussillon.
Our week at Maison Charvin from Arlo, the family dog. My family thinks that Maison Charvin is simply beautiful: opulently furnished, exquisitely decorated. More of a château than a maison. That said, my mummy says it’s not pretentious but cosy and homely, much appreciated on the unusually slightly chilly and windy days for part of our stay. The pool has provided instant relief for my family when the weather has been hot and sunny. My human brothers’ favourite space is the very relaxing courtyard where my mummy and I have dozed off on numerous occasions! My daddy has very much enjoyed reading many books from the vast collection. The house is deceptively large, providing ample chilling space for everyone, including me after a hot day in the sun. We enjoyed visiting Trebes (on the Canal), Carcassonne, Lagrasse and the dog-friendly beach in Narbonne. My family enjoyed the pizza which they ordered from the pizza van by the church on Thursday late afternoon. They also had baguettes and pastries (ordered in advance) from Aurelien at Vins de Dagne.
C'est notre troisième visite à la Villa - nous commençons à nous sentir comme à la maison ! Un autre séjour merveilleux - nous avons encore passé un très bon moment et sommes désolés de laisser la paix et la tranquillité derrière nous. Merci à Frédéric comme toujours pour l'accueil très chaleureux, toujours là en cas de besoin. Tant de souvenirs à ramener à la maison et merci de nous avoir permis de rester dans votre belle maison.
Château d'époque aussi magnifique qu'original. La piscine est fantastique, les enfants ont adoré les gonflables. Chaises longues autour de la piscine, une partie agréable. Les enfants ont également apprécié d'avoir l'étage comme leur propre espace.
Nous sommes une famille de 4 personnes qui avons décidé de découvrir le Périgord. Nous avons regardé cette propriété et sommes tombés amoureux de l'extérieur : le château lui-même et le magnifique jardin avec piscine. La décoration intérieure était unique car il y avait un très joli salon avec un piano qui me rappelait le style du 18ème siècle tandis que la salle à manger avait des éléments plus médiévaux. Le deuxième étage comportait de nombreuses chambres, ce qui était très bien pour le reste de notre famille qui nous a rejoint plus tard. À cet étage, il y a aussi une deuxième salle de télévision où tous les adolescents traînaient. Nous avons dîné à l'intérieur le matin et dehors le soir. Nous avons apprécié les barbecues et (beaucoup) de bon vin. Les voisins, qui sont également des amis du propriétaire, étaient très serviables et gentils. Nous avons découvert toutes sortes d'attractions comme visiter des châteaux, déguster du vin, faire du kayak sur la Dordogne et assister à de grandes fêtes organisées par différents villages tout au long de l'été. Bref, nous avons beaucoup apprécié nos vacances dans ce magnifique château ! Nous reviendrons certainement pour d'autres vacances.
Why on earth did we delay visiting this haven for so long?! Collioure is a gem. We have had a truly wonderful time, thank you.
