We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.

Un superbe Séjour, nous avons tous passé un magnifique moment, piscine super agréable, clim non négligeable( la nuit) même si le tarif électricité à l'arrivée nous a paru exorbitant. Eva est très réactive et c'est un plus pour une arrivée paisible. Nous étions 14 et la maison est vraiment adaptée, la cuisine est très fonctionnelle avec tout le nécéssaire pour bien cuisiner ! Nous reviendrons (on y pense déjà).

Charming house in the most picturesque hill top village that has been lovingly restored with air con and a pool to help you cool off in the heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and you can find great food either in the village or in Uzes not too far away.
Nous étions un groupe de 20 personnes (5 familles) et avons passé une semaine merveilleuse ! Les chambres sont très confortables (climatisation, grands lits), la cuisine était parfaite pour un grand groupe, la piscine était grande et propre (pas un seul insecte dans l'eau grâce au trop-plein). Tout est joliment décoré et flambant neuf. L'emplacement est tout simplement magnifique avec de magnifiques couchers de soleil. Nous avons effectué une belle visite à la cave du domaine et avons profité d'une dégustation de vins. Nous avons visité Saint-Tropez et la plage de Pampelonne (1h de route), Cotignac (40 min), l'Île de Porquerolles en catamaran depuis Hyères (1h) et fait du canyoning dans les Gorges du Verdon (2h de route). Il y a donc beaucoup de choses à faire mais vous devrez passer du temps dans la voiture. Et enfin et surtout : Thomas est un hôte formidable. Il est toujours disponible et prêt à aider de toutes les manières possibles.
We had great week staying at this lovely house! It is in quiet, rural location and we enjoyed exploring the area, which is very pretty. Sam was a great host and showed us everything and then left us to it – but was very helpful responsive with any questions we had. There were 7 of us and the house accommodated us all very easily. It is very well equipped and everything is in good condition and works well - lots of plates, glasses, large fridge freezer with ice maker, wine and beer fridges etc! The beds were comfortable and the house has two good bathrooms/shower rooms including a spa bath! There is a great choice of terraces and outside areas (covered and open) for sitting and dining, with lots of chairs, tables and sun loungers – which far exceeded expectations. The pool, surrounding terrace and gardens are really lovely and it is very quiet and private. The table tennis table was a bonus and we had a fun afternoon kayaking on the Dordogne, too! We would have loved a few more days there!
La maison est située dans un endroit idyllique et très calme, en face d'une charmante petite église dans un petit village. Le jardin offre une belle vue sur les champs de tournesols et une piscine d'eau salée XL (très douce pour la peau). C'est un endroit parfait pour se détendre et se relaxer, avec un coin salon confortable à l'ombre d'un arbre magnifique, ou vous pouvez faire du vélo dans cette belle campagne. La maison offre tout le confort et reste fraîche naturelle grâce aux murs épais. La cuisine est bien équipée, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur ! - Août 2020

We have used Pure France and other similar companies over many years, but I do not believe I have heard how highly rated they thought this particular property was - ever! As a result of the standard of accommodation, gardens and the local surrounding area, we are already trying to see if there is anything which can beat it for next year, especially for standards of finish and value for money (if you can recommend anything similar, please let us know)? I work in the construction industry as a design manager and can see someone has spent a lot of time and effort in getting the best out of this large old building, bringing it up to a high standard with well considered interior design - obviously the owner has considered in a lot of detail. Please pass on our thanks for being able to use the property.
Most beautiful spot in the South of France! The house was sensational. The vista is beyond. The kitchen motivated us to cook and eat on the patio every night. Proximity to all the area has to offer and the patisserie and vegetable market and town are all right at the foot of the hill. Ours hosts organised all we needed too - language tutoring for our daughter and extra housekeeping. 6 stars !
We have just returned from two weeks at La Roquette and had an amazing time. We are a group of 10, two parents, 4 adult daughters and now their partners who have been holidaying annually for 34 years now and I have to say this place is hard to beat. The setting is beautiful . Deer and hares in the fields and birds as the only sound. The house itself is so well equipped with plenty of space inside and outside to be together or to seperate and a wonderful pool which was very much needed in a heatwave of 40 degrees!! We did a wonderful vineyard tour/tasting at Domaine Bois de Devès with a lovely English wine maker, Nick Smith,and visited several recommended restaurants, the local Burger bar being a huge favourite…only 6 mins away. We will definitely return in the future when it’s cooler to explore more. Many thanks to all at Pure France, to Patricia the owner and Andrew (the pool guy) for always being on hand for questions and to help. Highly recommended!
We have had the most wonderful few days at this most beautiful house. I couldn’t believe how heavenly it all looked as we drove into the gates. We loved being here with good friends and had the best time. Many thanks for a perfect place to be.
We stayed with a group of friends for the week before our wedding and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to have some quality time and enjoy the great pool! We were also treated to a bottle of champagne for our wedding. What a great place! Would highly recommend.
We have had at the perfect family holiday at Le Manoir de Duras. The tomatoes from the garden were a delicious bonus! We all loved the pool and laying on the sun beds late a night watching the stars. Has some great meals in town and daily boulangerie too. A trip to the chocolate factory is a must. perfect on a rainy day for the kids! The house is absolutely stunning. were all agree one of the best places we've ever stayed. Thank you.
We would recommend eating at L'Ambrosia in Pezens, La Bergerie at Aragon and the restaurant at Le Château de Pennautier (quite local). Narbonne was a pleasant surprise (including its plage) for a day trip.

Moments inoubliables au sein du chalet. Nous sommes venus pour un week-end entre amis et chacun de nous est unanime: la qualité du logement, le soin apporté à chaque détails et la gentillesse et la réactivité de notre hôte nous a tous convaincus. Le chalet entièrement rénové par l’hôte est une perle rare et le propriétaire tout autant. Nous nous sommes créer des souvenirs inoubliable et espérons pouvoir revenir dès que possible. Weather lovely watching the house and surroundings. Trip to a little place 45 or so miles away called Coulon well worth a day out there. It was a very pretty riverside town where you could hire bikes, canoes or kayaks or take a leisurely stroll only the banks. Then enjoy refreshments at the riverside bars/restaurants while enjoying the sunshine and scenery. Will definitely visit again. Stayed here many times and never get tired as there is always somewhere new to go and explore (if you can bear ro tear yourself away from here). Thanks Anna and James for letting us use your beautiful house.
What an amazing place and fantastic hosts, Hugh and Ian have given our family the perfect holiday. Thank you so much. The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!
Cette villa est incroyable. La vue est époustouflante. J'ai séjourné dans la chambre en rez-de-chaussée, à côté de la salle de bain. Une jolie pièce de vie avec accès à la terrasse, un super spot pour voir les couchers de soleil. Serviettes de bonne qualité, des John Lewis! La chambre à l'étage a une jolie salle de bain et un balcon avec une vue splendide. Juste magnifique. Prendre son petit-déjeuner sous l'olivier a été un plaisir. La piscine a de bonnes dimensions et est très profonde. Très bien entretenue, avec une couverture. L'aire autour de la piscine est spacieuse, avec assez de bains de soleil et un bel espace avec barbecue. Les jardins sont magnifiques, il y a un terrain de pétanque, des oliviers à perte de vue et des massifs de fleurs devant la villa. La cuisine est très bien équipée, nous y avons mangé la plupart du temps. Et il y a une buanderie aussi. Une belle villa dans une belle région de France. Très reposant. Une perle rare.
Maison typique très agréable, chaque chambre dispose d'un espace douche/WC ce qui est un vrai plus, on s'y sent très alaise, pièce de vie lumineuse et conviviale, canapé très confortable, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Le patio et l'espace piscine nécessiteraient un meilleur entretien pour être au top. Le village est joli, on y trouve une boulangerie, pour les autres commodités type supermarché, station essence, 5 mn en voiture à Magalas. Nous recommandons ce logement.
Juste pour vous dire que nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette propriété et que nos attentes ont été largement dépassées.

Super séjour dans une grande villa très confortable ! La piscine est très agréable. Le logement, bien équipé, est situé dans un village sympathique à bonne distance de Béziers et des stations balnéaires de la côte.
We had a lovely time at your house, we really like Pézenas and the surrounding area. The house itself was superb and very well equipped, we and our 18, 20 and 21 year old children were very happy. Being able to enjoy the shops and restaurants in Pézenas then wander back to the tranquillity of the house made for a great holiday.
We have had a wonderful two weeks here, enjoying all the area has to offer and the house including the swimming pool, pool and table tennis tables A huge thank you to Sam for cooking us an amazing meal in, one evening, fantastic food and value for money. We loved the house and enjoyed watching the Vultures in the hills, sampling local wines and olives, cafe du centre in Villedieu, Vaison la romaine and Seguret were all great. Thank you.
