I cannot say how much I love this amazing old stone farmhouse; it has been so immaculately restored and is both stylish and supremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful (what a fantastic collection of Salvias) and the infinity pool, with its view over the surrounding countryside, is a dream ( both for proper swimming of lengths and for sunbathing). I could spend all day here. It is lovely to have a choice of outdoor eating areas for long lunches or relaxing dinners. I love the fact the there are lots of delightful historic Bastide towns within easy driving distance, both for historical sightseeing , fabulous food markets and outstanding restaurants (Auberge Le Prieure at Moirax being my personal favourite !) I have visited the house three times now and each visit has been magic.
We are sad to leave this lovely château after such a great holiday. The heatwave was unexpected but the pool kept us cool. Melissa and Charlotte were lovely and have kept the château very clean and tidy. The château was very well equipped and we were all very relaxed here. I loved walking into the village to the boulangerie each morning to buy breakfast and have a coffee on the way back! Najac is beautiful and we hope to return. Had a great holiday. Thank you x
Magnifique villa, belle piscine et emplacement parfait ! Nous venons de passer une merveilleuse semaine aux Fumerates. Nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux de la part de Michael et Denise et l'attention portée aux détails dans la propriété était irréprochable avec du savon, des gels douche, des dosettes de café et bien plus encore, l'ensemble encore amélioré par des lits confortables, la climatisation et une présentation impeccable. Nous avons adoré le caractère de la propriété et son superbe aménagement. La fantastique piscine à débordement a été le cadre de beaux souvenirs passés assis sur la terrasse pour un repas ou un verre, puis à plonger dans l'eau magnifique et à admirer la vue imprenable. Nous nous sommes également amusés sur le toboggan et le plongeoir et nous sommes détendus en flottant sur les transats confortables de la piscine. Les Fumerates sont idéalement placés pour visiter des endroits comme Nice, prendre le bus au bout de la route fonctionnait parfaitement et n'étaient qu'à 15 minutes en voiture de l'aéroport ! Nous avons également visité Monaco, Antibes, Saint-Tropez et Port Grimaud, mais l'un des points forts a été la courte promenade jusqu'au village magique de Saint-Paul-de-Vence pour y prendre un verre et un repas. Nous y avons passé l'une de nos meilleures vacances à ce jour et nous y reviendrons certainement !
We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
Jolie maison pleine de charme et authentique à Lusignac. La maison est telle que décrite avec d'excellents équipements pour nos vacances d'été. Nous étions 8 adultes avec 2 bébés (2 ans et 18 mois) et la maison nous a tous très bien accueillis.

Fantastic house in a lovely town. The property is extensive, nicely modernised and very well maintained. We visited with three children and they had plenty of room. The pool is AMAZING and they jumped in and out of that very happily. The outside terrace on the upper floor is a lovely place to lounge or eat - and the BBQ is a very good feature. In all we had a WONDERFUL time!

We had the most fabulous 2 weeks - Maison de Saint-Jean is amazing and it is so well equipped that we didn't lack anything at all.
Idyllique et détente absolue C'était notre premier séjour en Charente et nous avons adoré La Charmante Distillerie. Dès notre arrivée, nous nous sommes sentis détendus. La piscine et les terrasses offraient une vue imprenable et un calme absolu. L'intérieur était joliment meublé et nous avons apprécié le clin d'œil à l'ancienne distillerie et à son histoire. De nombreuses activités étaient proposées en famille et nous avons adoré observer les étoiles grâce au télescope mis à disposition. Mark a impeccablement entretenu le terrain et la piscine. Nous avons apprécié l'accès au jardin d'herbes aromatiques et aux arbres fruitiers. Je tiens également à souligner l'excellente connexion internet, qui a permis à nos adolescents de se détendre dans le coin détente de la mezzanine, tandis que les plus jeunes ont adoré jouer dans le bac à sable et sur le portique. Je recommande vivement cet endroit !
Une autre semaine fabuleuse au Malardier. Un endroit vraiment spécial qui nous a encore procuré bien d'autres souvenirs très heureux! Merci beaucoup de nous faire partager cette belle maison. Nous sommes tristes de partir mais nous avons hâte d'y retourner. Superbe à tous points de vue. À la prochaine fois.
We had a lovely stay at Claire’s beautiful place. It was very comfortable and you can see that someone has taken great care in decorating the place and choosing the best things. Would highly recommend.
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances à Bessan et dans votre splendide maison. Nous sommes allés au marché local de Bessan. Pézenas est superbe, nous avons goûté du vin au Domaine Pal Mas et des crêpes à La Riposte à Agde - les deux valent le détour. Les enfants auraient profité de la piscine jusqu'à minuit si seulement nous les avions autorisés. Nous sommes très tristes de partir et serions heureux de revenir.
Thank you Corelle and Stephen for a wonderful stay in your beautiful cottage. We loved the peace and quiet, cycling around the quiet lanes and watching the kingfishers flying in and out of their nests at the lake. We found it all so relaxing and tranquil and would love to return again. Thank you also for the welcome treats and the lovely chats with you both. Colombat Cottage is a very special place.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. I am writing to say what a wonderful time we had at Les Rocans during the week of 3th-10th August. It suited all our needs and we were amazed by the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
Une excellente semaine en famille avec des petits (2, 5, 9 ans) et des grands qui ont bien profité de la piscine, des jeux, ping pong, volley... du barbecue et des nombreuses possibilités qu’offre la maison pour déjeuner, dîner, se reposer. Les villages autour organisent des marches en soirée où l’on peut rencontrer des producteurs et goûter aux spécialités locales (foie gras, magrets, vins...) De nombreux châteaux à visiter, et ballade en canoë sur la Dordogne. Un bon séjour dans une belle région.
This is an idyllic luxury dream. A tranquil abode where resistance against rest and relaxation is futile. Welcoming in 2022 with Kate, Frans, their family and friends felt like home away from home with immediate family. They have created a home where you can freely engage in the beauty of this corner of France in an easthetic space curated to the highest level. We could class them as more than 'friends' - and definitely as 'MTFS'. The only antidote to departing is to plot the return and this has already begun.
Merci beaucoup d'avoir partagé ce merveilleux endroit. Nous avons passé des vacances incroyablement reposantes. Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et explorer le jardin. Merci ! Il y a tellement de moments préférés, mais la piscine en fait assurément partie ! Brantôme - Le kayak était fabuleux ! Aubeterre-sur-Dronne le soir est aussi un incontournable !
What a fantastic week we had at Mas de Clouze. The house is beautiful and we loved the attention to detail like the towels and soap in all the showers. The woods proved to be brilliant for treasure hunts for the kids and of course we spent many hours at the lovely pool! All in all a great week! We’d love to come back.
In June, we stayed for a fortnight at La Picholine. In the middle of the vineyards. Plenty of peace, space and beautiful views. The pool is great and beautiful views there too.

We just wanted to tell you that we really enjoyed the stay in your wonderful house. You have thought of everything to make it so nice and our daughter said that she had come to paradise... All the people that we met; Alan and Cathy, the pool and garden guys and the cleaning ladies were all so nice and helpful. Real assets! And the Rosé in the fridge... This was a very welcome gesture that we enjoyed after the long drive down. Thank you again for sharing your lovely house with us.
Fantastique propriété - très confortable et bien équipée. Nous avons passé une semaine incroyable à Rully. La propriété est joliment décorée et on se sent véritablement comme chez-soi en termes de confort et d'équipements. L'espace extérieur est super - quatre aires de repos différentes en fonction de l'endroit où vous voulez vous installer. Sigrid et sa famille font tout leur possible pour s'assurer que vous disposez de toutes les informations avant votre arrivée. Je ne saurais trop le recommander.
Ian and Hugh (and Stanley) have created something very special at Manoir de Fouilloux. Lovingly curated over many years, there are so many things to look at that it’s actually a marvel that we managed to spend any time by the beautiful pool or eat, drink and play games in any of the lovely outside space or barn. But, somehow we managed it. Simply a lovely place to stay. Full of character and charm. Don’t come here if you want a minimalist white box. Ian and Hugh were brilliantly helpful, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommended, will look forward to returning.
