We had a lovely time in a beautifully converted villa. So much space for relaxing and the kids to roam free at the table tennis out building or down by the pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maison Gounou (August 2025). There were seven of us from the same extended family, aged from thirteen to sixty-two, plus two small dogs. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how quiet and peaceful the location was, which coming from south London was a real blessing. Although the house is situated on a small road, passing cars were extremely rare. We met some of the local neighbours when out dog walking, and they were pleasant and friendly. The house is beautiful and comfortable, very picturesque with a large gravelled driveway for several cars. We could close the iron gates to keep the dogs inside, which was useful. The pool was exceptionally clean, very refreshing and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of pots of pans for large-scale cooking, including many le Creuset dishes. The rooms were spacious, the bedrooms comfortable, with plenty of bathrooms and toilets for everyone. Bedding was changed half way through our two-week visit. The surrounding area is full of old bastide towns with markets and medieval buildings, outdoor evening dining events, medieval fairs, artisan shops . Although it was thriving, nowhere felt too busy or stressful. We found lots of places to eat including a lovely restaurant in Monpazier (Privilege du Perigord) that served a tasty three-course lunch for 23 euros. Highlights of the stay: peace and tranquillity, ability to let go and relax. Lovely veranda to sit and read/relax/fall asleep, lots of books to look at, lovely sitting room. More than enough space for seven people and two dogs. Lovely local towns to stroll around.
Très bonne expérience avec ce logement et les propriétaires, excellent rapport qualité prix, très beau cadre, une hote très réactive et arrangeante, je recommande !
Nous avons passé un séjour des plus fantastiques et avons créé tellement de souvenirs heureux. La maison est si agréable pour une jeune famille, les enfants ont participé à de nombreuses explorations de la faune autour du terrain et nous avons tous passé des heures dans la piscine. Je vous remercie pour votre hospitalité.
Nous sommes venus deux semaines et avons reçu un accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes. Nous avons exploré la région et les environs, fait de belles promenades et découvert de charmantes villes, comme Sarlat-la-Canéda et Bergerac, avec leurs marchés animés. Merci à Alan et Madeline d'avoir partagé votre jolie maison avec nous. Nous avons hâte de revenir avec le reste de la famille.
Very good welcome. Cleanliness of the house, space, functionality, pool safety, baby equipment, everything was there. The surrounding setting of course is wonderful. Quality restaurants close by. Family stay that we were able to fully enjoy. Recommended, to be repeated.

Les propriétaires, Benedict et Pierre Balteau, étaient très sympathiques et accueillants. Nous avons hâte de revenir ici lors de notre prochaine visite dans le Languedoc, en Occitanie et nous recommanderons certainement cette propriété à nos amis et à notre famille. Well to start with I had such a great time at Villa Kali, the pool is utterly fabulous and the beds are comfy! I love the nature / fig trees / lizards / frogs and more! Luckily France was hot. I love the table tennis, its great. Visit the town centre, great shops. We went to the beach and got a little sunburnt - Whoops! Great holiday, hope to come again.
We loved the villa, everything was perfect. The children loved it and my 3 year old son refuses to go home. Beautiful fruit from the garden.
Beautiful seaside villa. We had a fantastic week with all our family. Villa Chiavari was perfect for all ages and offered plenty of space with numerous tranquil spots both on the balconies and the garden overlooking the sea. The recommendations from the owners on what to do were a great introduction to this area of Corsica. We look forward to staying longer next time!
This is a beautiful property and it is well taken care of. We had everything we could possibly think of to enjoy an amazing weekend with family. I imagine this estate as a perfect venue for anything from a group holiday to a wedding. We would definitely stay again.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans votre charmante maison. Le seul bémol a effectivement été la météo qui nous a empêchés de profiter pleinement de vos extérieurs et de la piscine. Nous en garderons cependant un bon souvenir.

Un magnifique cottage avec une grande piscine privée et deux excellents restaurants à seulement 5 minutes à pied. Charmant.
Merci de nous permettre de profiter de votre jolie villa. Le cadre élégant de Baleyssagues a contribué à rendre nos vacances ici à Duras très relaxantes. Le site à flanc de colline était le lieu idéal pour admirer de superbes couchers et levers de soleil et les étoiles filantes. C'était dommage de repartir...
A week at the Mas de Pitou was blissful. The house was comfortable and included everything you would need for a relaxing stay. The view of the Alpilles, bright sunshine throughout the house and the fragrance of lavender and rosemary from the garden completed the picture. I will most definitely return to enjoy more exploring of the regions bounty in farmer's markets, Médiéval villages and stunning views.
La villa est une maison très confortable et spacieuse. Les meubles et les équipements sont d'excellente qualité. Chaque chambre a sa propre douche/salle de bain et toilettes ainsi que son propre espace salon/repos. Un bel avantage pour une grande famille, un groupe d'amis ou deux familles partageant le logement. L'espace extérieur est très agréable et privé. Il y a beaucoup d'espace où s'installer et se détendre. L'emplacement de la villa est idéal pour visiter les sites de la Côte d'Azur. Les transports en commun sont accessibles à pied depuis la villa, tout comme les commerces pour les besoins quotidiens. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et serviables.
We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to this most delightful property set in bucolic rolling countryside. The house is elegant and extremely comfortable, giving maximal privacy inside and out so that guests can enjoy the peace, whether swimming in the lovely pool, or just relaxing in shade or sun. There is also a lovely terrace for al fresco dining and a fabulous collection of books. The creation of the gardens is masterful . We loved the nearby market in Condom and the creamy stone architecture of the area.
We had a wonderful holiday at Maison Emz. Jacky and Anne are the perfect hosts, being friendly, helpful and keen to allow us to have a good vacation. Maison Emz is a beautiful house with excellent facilities and is beautifully decorated and equipped. The outside spaces and pool area provide a lovely environment to relax. The house location, in a quiet rural area but with the good local town of Goudargues and other interesting towns and villages within easy reach, is a great place to enjoy two weeks in the sun.

We now have a special place in our hearts for the local village, Fayence. What a truly beautiful spot and the most wonderful house to make some amazing memories. Maximum pool time, lunches in Cannes. Best time and best memories made.
Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back
Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette belle villa. Prendre un bain de soleil au bord de la piscine, nager et faire de l'escalade (ce ne sont seulement quelques-unes des choses que nous avons faites). Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine.

A well designed spacious house over two floors with a large balcony from the modernised kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool and views of the surrounding areas The property is perfect for lazing by the pool and is Ideally placed for trips to many nearby beaches and to the cities of Narbonne, Béziers and Montpellier.
