We have had a wonderful time at your villa, whilst the UK shivered and got rained on, we have been exploring the locality. The villa was everything it claimed to be and much more, our best choice so far in Languedoc. A wonderful holiday!

Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.
We've all had a great time and very much enjoyed staying in your attractive farmhouse with its lovely pool and gardens.
Nous étions un groupe de 7 adultes et avons passé une semaine absolument fabuleuse dans votre villa. Il est très rare qu’une villa fonctionne à tous les niveaux, mais la vôtre l’a vraiment fait. Tellement d’espace – et si bien pensé, avec absolument tout ce dont on pourrait avoir besoin. Et oui – bien mieux que ne le laissaient penser les photos. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le fromage et le vin à notre arrivée – le pain et le pâté durant la semaine – et bien sûr le repas à La Tour, qui était tout simplement incroyable ! Nous avons bien profité des vélos (malgré le froid et l’humidité !) et sommes allés plusieurs fois jusqu’à Montady (une belle balade sur la piste cyclable). Nous avons visité Béziers, Carcassonne et Minerve – mais surtout – nous avons pu nous détendre, discuter et rire ! Merci Philippe. Quelle semaine formidable.
Nous venons de rentrer d'un mois en France où nous avons séjourné au Domaine de Laure. Nous avons passé un séjour tout simplement agréable. Avant de partir, nous avions quelques réserves sur le fait que la propriété était attenante à la maison des propriétaires. Nous accordons une grande importance à l'intimité et l'expérience nous a montré que cela peut être parfois compromis. En fait, il s'est avéré que nous avions le meilleur des deux mondes - de l'aide chaque fois que nous en avions besoin - Pierre et Benedict étaient charmants - et une intimité totale le reste du temps. La maison est confortable, propre et bien équipée. Les lits king size et la télévision anglaise étaient un bonus. La piscine était propre et bien entretenue. Mais pour nous, c'était l'emplacement et la paix totale qui étaient particulièrement spéciaux - encore mieux que sur les photos. La vue était magnifique et le terrain très spacieux. La seule intrusion était le doux tintement des clochettes des chèvres... magique ! Nous n'hésitons pas à recommander vivement le Domaine de Laure.
Our week in your beautiful home has gone far too quickly. We have really enjoyed the era and explored Uzes and its restaurants. There is still so much to do and we hope to be back. Many thanks for your welcome and discreet hospitality. The tortoises were a great distraction!
Les Chapoux is truly a terrific holiday destination, the property is located in a lovely area and it is easy to access local towns and villages with supermarkets in easy reach. As to the property it is charming, there is plenty of room with comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. The pool is great and the 3 generations of our family spent many an hour in and around it. The owners are very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Definitely one to visit.
Maison Theron is spotlessly clean and immaculately presented, we couldn’t have been happier and would have been delighted to spend much longer there. Great beds - very comfortable a lovely living space and a private and cleverly done garden with a pool. This quiet and calming home is a wonderful find.
Quelle belle maison bien aménagée dans un endroit magnifique. Malgré un peu de pluie, nos invités et nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour de deux semaines. Merci aux propriétaires qui ont été des hôtes parfaits - serviables, sympathiques et disponibles en cas de besoin, sans empiéter d'un pouce sur notre intimité. Nous n'aurions pas pu demander mieux, ni à Pure France ni au Domaine de Nérige. Vous avez conçu la maison de vacances parfaite et nous et nos invités aurions été heureux de pouvoir rester plus longtemps, beaucoup plus longtemps. Jusqu'à ce que nous nous réunissons à nouveau, meilleurs vœux. xx
We were not too familiar with the region, but since we live in a highly fast-paced city, we knew we wanted a tranquil and somewhat less-touristy vacation spot surrounded by nature. Through an amazing agency, we were able to lease the cottage for two weeks in late August and had an amazing time there. The property dates back to 1750 and is fully well-renovated - every detail has been taken into consideration so one is able to enjoy the experience of staying in an authentic French country house, but with modern amenities that enhance the original character of the property, rather than detract from it. The town and the people are very charming and there are restaurants, cafés, a grocery store, shops, butcher shops, etc. and an excellent choice of patisseries and boulangeries, which my husband happily frequented every morning in order to bring back fresh breakfast goodies! There is a weekly market in the town square, just a 5-minute drive from the house selling amazing produce and other artisanal delights! The town is within a comfortable drive from beautiful sites in neighboring Beynac, Sarlat and Bergerac, not counting other small picturesque places you find on the way. And if you haven't done much research, fret not because the owners of the home have compiled quite an impressive binder of information with all of the popular attractions and must-see places in the area. I do not over-exaggerate when I say the house is extremely well-equipped as if it were our own home! When we were not out sightseeing during the morning, we were downstairs preparing food in the kitchen, which may seem small in the photos, but it is spacious and the layout is wonderful - the oven and stove are ideal for seasoned cooks, there is a full-size dishwasher and tons of pots, pans, utensils, gadgets and appliances - all in superb condition, so we wanted for nothing. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Maison Bourg Cales, which I would highly recommend to anyone in search of an idyllic, quiet getaway in the beautiful French countryside.
Excellent séjour! Notre hôte Nathalie a été tres réactive par message et arrangeante. La maison était propre et correspondait parfaitement à la description. Nous y serions bien resté plus longtemps!
Notre semaine à la villa a été tout simplement magique ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été frappés par la tranquillité des environs. La villa elle-même est magnifiquement entretenue. Il a fait très venteux pendant notre séjour et Philippe est venu chaque matin nettoyer la piscine ! Nous avons passé des heures dans la piscine – elle est tout simplement magnifique ! Chaque jour a apporté une nouvelle aventure – la visite de dégustation de vin à La Cave était vraiment intéressante (même si nous avons fini par dépenser une petite fortune !). Philippe a été l’hôte parfait – tellement aimable. Les viennoiseries livrées deux fois par semaine étaient délicieuses et un immense merci à Philippe pour les gâteaux d’anniversaire des 60 ans de mon mari le vendredi ! Le repas offert par Philippe à La Tour était tout simplement incroyable – à tel point que nous avons décidé d’y retourner pour les célébrations d’anniversaire. Ce séjour a été du genre à vous ressourcer à tous les niveaux. Nous repartons détendus, inspirés et déjà en train de planifier notre retour ! Nous recommandons vivement à quiconque recherche une escapade française sereine associée à une hospitalité sincère et attentionnée ! Merci infiniment Philippe – nous sommes tellement tristes de partir mais nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs !
10ème été en France et c'est la meilleure maison dans laquelle nous avons séjourné. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vous détendre et passer un merveilleux séjour. Merci pour cette superbe semaine.
Our group rented Domaine du Château for a week, with five couples and seven children. The sprawling property accommodated our group and never once felt crowded. The house has been spectacularly remodeled recently, but maintains the charm of a centuries old villa. Stephen and Lilly are the most wonderful hosts, very welcoming and kind. The hosts lives in a house that is tucked away adjacent to Domaine du Château and are as available or as scarce as you would like them to be. It would be a shame to visit the property and miss out on their wonderful cooking (for a very reasonable fee), Lilly is a particularly accomplished pastry chef. Stephen is a wine instructor with passion for Burgundy and offered a fantastic wine tasting, catered to our tastes. All amenities you could imagine are offered, but with no pressure and all the flexibility you could hope for. I can't recommend this property enough, I certainly hope I am able to visit again and again!

This house is beautiful. Well located, you can visit the entire area easily from this house. Additionally, the equipment in this house is great. Between the boulodrome, the pool and the rest, it's a good experience to share with friends or family.
Nous sommes retournés à la Maison Charvin, Montlaur pour la deuxième année consécutive. Revenir à la même destination de vacances peut parfois être une erreur, pour des raisons évidentes, mais certainement pas dans ce cas. Tout était exactement comme dans nos souvenirs. :-) La Maison Charvin elle-même était charmante, confortable et spacieuse comme toujours. La maison ainsi que le jardin reposant et la belle piscine nous ont procuré des journées très relaxantes au soleil. La magnifique campagne environnante a permis plusieurs excursions d'une journée agréables à Carcassonne et Lagrasse, pour n'en citer que quelques-unes. Sharon, notre hôte, était comme toujours attentionnée, aimable et extrêmement accueillante. Merci encore de nous avoir permis de visiter votre belle maison pour la deuxième année consécutive - c'était tout aussi agréable que notre première visite.
Les mots manquent pour brosser un tableau approprié de cet endroit charmant. Un appartement des plus luxueux dans un emplacement extrêmement recherché sur la Côte d'Azur. L'appartement dispose de toutes les commodités que l'on peut souhaiter et les propriétaires sont superbes : des gens serviables, arrangeants et tout simplement gentils. La piscine est fantastique et si vous souhaitez découvrir la région, eh bien, l'emplacement est parfait. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la villa et c'est désormais notre lieu de prédilection pour nos vacances dans le sud de la France.

We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!
We enjoyed the house, pool and garden. We took a private boar charter on the canal. We visited restaurants and enjoyed using the 'running track' around the garden.
Merci pour ce super séjour. La piscine était chaude, mais le rosé bien frais. Bélaye est la plus belle ville du monde, visiter Montcuq fut resplendissant. Nous partirons d'ici reposés et ressourcés. 5/5
Merci beaucoup pour cette merveilleuse semaine dans votre maison. Nous avons apprécié le vin mousseux, les belles fleurs et la maison est tout simplement incroyable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Les points forts pour nous ont été le neuf trous de golf juste à l'extérieur de Saumur, le vélo, la visite de vignobles, des repas au restaurant et la détente au bord de la piscine. Nous avons attrapé des gardons, des naseux et trois grosses brèmes. Il y avait un beau martin-pêcheur au bord du ruisseau. Temps parfait et nous avons tout apprécié d'autant plus après toutes les restrictions de ces deux dernières années.

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour au petit pigeonnier ! Debbie a été disponible et très attentive à nos besoins. Elle a été très efficace et discrète en même temps. Nous avons apprécié la beauté et le silence du lieu ainsi que le très grand espace avec la piscine à notre entière disposition. Debbie a vraiment su nous mettre à l’aise pour nous nous sentions chez nous. Nous lui disons encore merci pour sa gentillesse et ce très agréable séjour qu’elle nous a permis de vivre avec nos enfants et petit enfant !

Merci pour ces merveilleuses vacances reposantes. Votre maison, vos jardins et les environs sont tous spectaculaires. Nous avons beaucoup aimé pique-niquer dans l'arrière jardin et nos enfants ont adoré la cabane dans les arbres. Les temps forts ont été le marché de Saumur le samedi matin. Le dîner à La Licorne Fontervaud, le Château d'Ussé, le Zoo BioParc de Doce et les jardins du Château de Villandry. Aussi une visite avec les enfants de l'autre côté de la route pour voir les lapins à l'invitation de vos sympathiques voisins. Merci beaucoup.
