Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux! Les images ne peuvent pas représenter pleinement la beauté de la maison, de la piscine et du cadre depuis la colline avec vue sur la rivière et la vallée. L'aménagement de la maison a très bien fonctionné pour nous, car chacune de nos familles avait sa propre aile avec plusieurs chambres et salles de bains. Nous sommes reconnaissants pour l'aide avec l'organisation des chefs et des baby-sitters (qui étaient fantastiques), les hôtes ont été proactifs pour s'assurer que nous passions un excellent séjour. L'emplacement est excellent aussi, car à proximité de deux jolies villes avec de bonnes boulangeries et restaurants, près de Sarlat, Domme et La Roque-Gageac, bonne base pour visiter les grottes préhistoriques, les excursions en rivière, les vignobles, etc. On ne recommandera que trop cette maison!
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleusement relaxante dans un endroit idyllique - merci beaucoup. C'est magnifique.

We have been staying here with our grown up children who have not been to this area before, and have loved the house and the area. The weather has been so hot! So we really appreciated the wonderful pool. A great kitchen which we have used extensively and adore having every meal outside. Thank you for your help and your lovely house.

Nous avons apprécié l’authenticité des lieux, la nature protégée et la proximité des sites touristiques majeurs. Par leur gentillesse et leurs recommandations, les hôtes ont largement participé à notre agréable séjour. Nous recommandons ce gîte récemment ouvert à la location et en permanente évolution.

What a stunning place... couldn't fault. Peaceful yet close to village and 10 minute drive for supermarkets. Pool area is just perfect.. plenty of shade if you need it... or lay out in the summer sun. Everything and more that you need for a fantastic holiday.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we couldn't believe the endless things to do for the children and us, we needn't have brought a thing. Great recipe books, wine and food recommendations. Pool, peace and tranquillity. Can't wait to return!

We stayed in this amazing house for a couple of weeks - 4 couples, with kids left home! The place is really hard to describe because it is so much more than we expected. Also the photos don't quite do it justice (especially the outdoors pics). It is a huge house, with several levels. All the bedrooms bar one are on one upper floor. The other bedroom (that we stayed in) is accessible on the side of the building and has a lovely little terrace with a small table and chairs. Perfect for taking in the sun or simply relaxing. I did do a bit of work there. On the lower level is the huge kitchen, big dining area with a really cool table that makes entertaining fun and loads of interesting living areas each individual and stylishly decorated. All in all it is a big place where it is easy to spend time with friends and be sociable, or retreat to one of the cosy, quirky but fantastic living spaces for me-time. We weren't quite sure what we would do there for 2 weeks as it seemed a little remote, but it is SO relaxing and welcoming we spent the first week just staying put and enjoying it. The swimming pool is great and I did my lengths every morning. The area just beyond the pool is great in the evening for a drink (or many more). The bedrooms are really special. Big and very well appointed. Comfortable beds and interesting bathrooms (ours had a built-in bath). The owner Fred is super friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed by him and his partner and to our surprise the fridge was filled with local produce and there was also some wine and fresh bread left for us! Great surprise and even better after the long drive down! For shopping we went to the closest town and there were 2 large supermarkets there as well as the usual bakeries/butchers etc. The area is very beautiful. The mountains are stunning and we found some really lovely villages to explore. We had a great dinner one night in Sauve. Really cute village well worth exploring. We ate on a square high up overlooking the river below. I could go on and on. The place has so much charm and is so well appointed, we could have stayed for longer. We have amazing memories and special thanks to Fred for having created this small piece of paradise.
We stayed here during early August. The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
We have all had a superb week. What a beautiful house and surroundings. Huge fun in the pool, long evenings on the stunning terrace watching the sun go down. Complete relaxation for us all. Younger folk tried the Pirate experience and really enjoyed it. We all went to Laparade - a huge open food festival, a sea of tables on the remparts (take your own cloth and plastic beakers!) and great music. A truly magical week we will all treasure. X
Beautiful and very well kept. A lots of thought had gone into creating a family holiday home. facilities very good, all that was needed and more. So child friendly and safe. Hope we can come again. Many thanks for a wonderful week.
Thank you for letting us stay at this lovely stylish villa, one of the best we have ever stayed at. So well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Nardia recommended ‘Le Grand Frais’ supermarket at Carcassonne where we were able to buy some wonderful fresh produce on arrival and which saw us through the week. An absolutely fantastic place! Our week went so incredibly quickly. It is our second time in the Carcassonne area, but still so much to do and see. This time we discovered the Gorges de Galamus and the labyrinths at Nebias. Amazing! Short treks around the beautiful Villelongue were also so nice. We loved the compost recycling bin at the end of the commune. Very green! Thanks to Mike for sorting the awning for us on a very windy Sunday. Hope to be back!
Idyllic place. Very peaceful break had by all. Garlin is a lovely village. Great bakery for fresh bread and the essential Ecomarket. All in all, great location - awesome house that's been fitted out to a very high standard throughout and a wonderful, unspoilt part of France that we'd never been to before.

Amazing space of the house led to us having the best family holiday ever for 9 adults and three young children. The outdoor areas are equally fantastic, the pool, Japanese garden with pizza oven was greatly appreciated and we would love to come back and see our host Katie again.
I stayed in this stunning house in May this year. It is beautifully presented and very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It has the added benefits of an outdoor swimming pool and a games room. The owner has gone to great lengths to make this a home away from home! It hides behind pretty old stone walls, just a few steps from the centre of the beautiful historic town of Pezenas. I am looking forward to returning in the future!
We had a wonderful week at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious house is very well equipped. The swimming pool is incredibly warm and the children (even the baby) spent hours in it. The shaded area by the pool was essential as the weather was really hot. We loved the area. It is fairly rural but with easy access to the town. The house is very child friendly with toys, high chairs and plastic bowls and plates and lots of pool accessories. All of which were appreciated by our 5 grandchildren. A fabulous, relaxing holiday. Cet endroit incarne l’essence même d’une demeure accueillante pour les amis, à mille lieues des locations impersonnelles et dénuées de chaleur. Chez toi, on ressent immédiatement une atmosphère chaleureuse, empreinte de ton goût exquis et d’une âme véritable. Chaque année, tu nous réserves des surprises merveilleuses : une nouvelle chambre aménagée avec un soin et une originalité sans pareils, un jardin qui se transforme, un potager qui nous offre des légumes de saison d’une qualité exceptionnelle. Et que dire des aventures mémorables que nous avons vécues, ainsi que de la vue imprenable sur la Provence et le majestueux Pont du Gard lors de nos petits déjeuners. Grâce à toi, ce lieu se transforme en une véritable maison de famille. Nous commençons déjà à compter les jours qui nous séparent de notre prochain séjour. À très bientôt.
Une maison tellement fantastique dans une belle partie de la France. Nous y avons passé un super séjour. La maison possède tout ce à quoi vous pourriez penser en termes de confort et de cuisine. Nous avons même mangé une raclette pendant notre séjour car il y avait un appareil à raclette ! Sandie était une hôte géniale et toujours là pour nous aider, même à Noël. Nous ne pouvions pas imaginer un meilleur endroit pour une réunion de famille. Beaucoup d'espace à l'intérieur et aussi beaucoup d'espace extérieur avec de nombreux jeux, ils ont tous été utiles car nous avons dû nous isoler pendant 2 jours à notre arrivée en France en raison des dernières restrictions. Même avec de jeunes enfants qui aiment courir, nous avions beaucoup d'espace pour nous amuser et jouer à des jeux ! Je ne pourrais pas recommander davantage cet endroit.
Beautiful! We do feel thoroughly spoilt and have had a wonderful time. The playroom alone is better than our own and the pool is perfect. Very friendly, helpful and efficient service.
Great house, pictures on the website don't do it justice. Fantastic feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, even though you are not. Great supermarket around the corner.
What a fabulous find in the middle of sunflower fields ! Lovely hot weather, really appreciated the beautiful pool. The house is so well equipped and welcoming that it provided for a relaxing holiday. It was the perfect balance of great food, excellent company, a little sightseeing and a lot of relaxing by the pool, playing pool and generally chilling in style. Please can we come back...
Fantastic time in this great house and location. 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun with the kids and extended family. Thank you. What a wonderful place! So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! Magnifique demeure à l'orée du Château de Duras. Décoration soignée, de bon goût et literie très confortable. Nous avons passé des très agréables moments à la longueur des journées autour de la piscine qui a sa propre cuisine d'été. Apéros sympas sur la terrasse avec splendide vue sur les cyprès au coucher du soleil. Proximité à pied du centre et de tous les commerces. Nous avons adoré et espérons vivement y revenir.
