Maison spacieuse, jolie et très bien placée ! Nous avons passés une très belle semaine dans votre logement ! Hôte à l’écoute et présent pour répondre aux questions. Le logement à côté de la maison (l’atelier) est très bien quand deux familles partent chacun a son autonomie avec son espace personnel. Nous recommandons sans problème.
A totally unique experience staying in a tower with a wonderful panorama view of the sea. You can spend hours sitting on the balcony, watching the tide go in and out and the ships coming into La Havre in the distance. At night when the tide is in, the sound of the sea is fantastic and almost feels like you are sleeping on the beach. The tower itself is nicely decorated, clean and kitted out with everything you might need for a holiday. The furniture and fittings are intelligently laid out to maximise the space at all levels so it doesn't feel cramped. Villerville itself was a charming, quiet seaside town with a few bistros and shops, perfect for escaping the usual hoards of tourists elsewhere on the Normandy coast. Definitely worthy of 4.5 star rating and only reasons for not getting 5 stars are lack of free parking on site (although plenty on the side streets behind the tower) and some evenings when the tide is out you get the occasional teenagers listening to music on the sea front until late at night.
Nous avons passé 2 semaines incroyables ici. Honnêtement, cette maison est magnifique. Les couchers de soleil ici ne ressemblent à aucun autre. Je recommanderais de visiter les producteurs de vin locaux, de faire du vélo à travers les vignobles et d'explorer la région. Nous avons également visité de nombreux marchés dans la montagne et sommes allés assister au feu d'artifice du 14 juillet. J'adorerais revenir bientôt !
Nous étions une famille de sept adultes et avons passé une semaine merveilleuse à Challignac. Mark et Gary sont vraiment des hôtes exceptionnels. Le gîte était magnifiquement présenté et d'une propreté impeccable. Tout le nécessaire avait été soigneusement mis à disposition, y compris un savon liquide de luxe: inutile donc d'apporter le vôtre. La cuisine était exceptionnellement bien équipée, avec tous les ustensiles et appareils électroménagers nécessaires. Et si quelque chose manquait, Mark et Gary se sont fait un plaisir de le fournir ! À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un généreux choix de fromages, charcuteries, pains, en-cas, vins, bières, boissons sans alcool, thé et café ; un accueil parfait qui nous a évité de courir faire les courses. L'espace piscine était tout simplement divin : une superbe piscine chauffée entourée de nombreux sièges extérieurs et d'une superbe cuisine extérieure. Tout était réuni pour se détendre et profiter. Même si la météo n'était pas toujours de notre côté, nous en avons profité pour explorer les villages et les grandes villes des environs. Nous avons dégusté de délicieux repas dans les restaurants recommandés par nos hôtes. Dans l'ensemble, tout le monde s'est bien amusé et nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Un grand merci à Mark et Gary !
Tout ce que vous pourriez demanders'y trouve - beaucoup d'espace, une maison bien équipée, une intimité totale. Très relaxant, j'ai apprécié la baignade en rivière à Ribeaut et le charmant village de Lagrasse. Beaucoup de pain dans les magasins locaux. Quel endroit merveilleux, avec la campagne des Corbières à deux pas. Tant d'endroits à voir et à découvrir, nous avons tout aimé.
La Belle Vue is a beautiful holiday home. Nestled in a tiny hamlet the house has all the ingredients for a fantastic relaxing break. The garden is beautiful with views over the rolling hills to the distant Pyrenees. Lovely bedding, fluffy thick hotel towels and everything you need to enjoy the holiday. We hope to be back soon. We really enjoyed our trip to Las Tours. The views after the climb were well worth it. Probably preferred it to Carcassonne.

We have had an amazing time and are very sad to have to leave! We have loved our time lazing by the pool and leaving all the stresses of our normal lives far behind. The owners have been perfect hosts. and the house has had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed visiting this part of France for the first time and would recommend all the beautiful Bastide villages. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back!
Kids really enjoyed the grounds and plenty to keep them entertained even when the weather was not as nice. So much space to run around and explore. Great pool, very clean. Owners went above and beyond to help us, even offering to give us a lift when needed. Welcoming and friendly reception from Nick and Takayla - really helpful and on hand when needed.
Cette maison est un joyau dans un excellent écrin. Le Mas Paradou est une perle rare. Il est rare de trouver une maison aussi privée au milieu d'un village animé : des haies de cèdres de vingt pieds protègent le grand jardin et la magnifique piscine de la route et des voisins. La maison est charmante et pleine d'intérêt historique. Autrefois demeure du charron du village, elle a été restaurée par le grand violoniste Alexandre Schneider (la salle de musique était autrefois l'atelier du charron). Les propriétaires actuels ont conservé de nombreux souvenirs de la vie de Schneider dans la maison tout en installant de nombreuses améliorations, notamment une cuisine équipée pour les cuisiniers fanas, des appareils Bosch et Viking, la climatisation dans une chambre et un ventilateur de plafond dans l'autre. Toutes les fenêtres et les portes de la cuisine sont grillagées pour empêcher les mouches et les moustiques d'entrer, ce qui est très inhabituel en France. La gouvernante parle un peu anglais et nous a remis la maison dans un état impeccable. Le centre du village (à moins de cinq minutes à pied) compte une excellente boulangerie, une boucherie qui vend des viandes et des plats préparés de haute qualité et un petit magasin qui fournit la plupart des autres produits de première nécessité. Paradou possède également un merveilleux (et célèbre) bistrot ainsi que quelques autres bons restaurants. Le village voisin de Maussane-les-Alpilles compte plusieurs autres très bons endroits où manger à des prix variés. Le propriétaire de la maison a fourni de nombreuses informations détaillées sur la maison, le village et les environs, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous serions ravis de revenir pour d'autres vacances.
Un mois très relaxant - nous avons visité de nombreux villages avec notre chien Ruby. Nous avons apprécié la piscine. Il y a trop à manger et à boire. Merci à Lisbeth.
We were four related families of eight adults and 8 children aged 3-7. The palatial exterior of the Chateau belies the comfort and homeliness of its interior which boasts some of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. The shuttered windows and the judicious repositioning of a vase or two made it easy to child-proof the rooms. The magnificent parkland of trees, lawns and flower-beds offers a short-walk to a fully enclosed and secure open-air swimming pool, which was a particular highlight. The views across the surrounding countryside are simply stunning. We particularly valued the extensive space, the quiet and the privacy. Gaelle was extremely helpful in dealing with any queries and we are grateful to her and her family for sharing their home with a large group of complete strangers. Fiona

Magnifique maison au milieu des champs, décorée avec goût. Cuisine extérieure toute équipée. Rien ne manque. Nous avons apprécié la piscine et les transats ainsi que les environs (cité médiévale de Chauvigny, Futuroscope).

We spent 5 days in September in Château Entre-Deux-Mers, we were 4 couples of friends. It is an exceptional castle very well located with all modern luxury. The building, garden and pool are fascinating and the interior has been recently decorated with design furniture by a very talented architect offering a modern and luxurious experience. A superior place for demanding guests. We recommend to use the available local catering options (dinners and breakfast) who cook excellent meals with respect of local ingredients and recipes. Plenty of wine châteaux to visit in the surroundings and the city of Bordeaux is worth discovering for a guided tour, dinner or cultural activity. We will definitely come back!
Nous revenons tout juste de notre séjour au Petit Pigeonnier du Lot et tenions à vous faire découvrir le charme de cet endroit. La propriété est très confortable, avec une piscine magnifiquement entretenue dans un cadre enchanteur surplombant les vignes. Les propriétaires, Debbie et Rupert, sont très accueillants et serviables. Ils ne sont pas envahissants, mais font tout leur possible pour rendre nos vacances agréables. Tout était inclus, et Debbie nous a offert un délicieux yaourt maison au petit-déjeuner. La région est également magnifique à visiter. Située à la croisée des chemins, la campagne est unique et offre des sites incroyables à découvrir : de magnifiques villages, des vignobles, Cahors, la rivière Lot et sa vallée, le Peche Merle et son charmant petit musée de la préhistoire à Luzech, avec ses expositions fascinantes. Nous avons revisité des lieux que nous connaissions déjà et en avons découvert de nouveaux. Tout a été à la hauteur de nos attentes, et même plus.

We had a great weekend with friends; we were able to enjoy the castle and its huge garden
We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...

La Petite Maison Générille is pure magic. Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Dordogne, this peaceful gîte blends rustic charm with stylish comfort. The saltwater pool is dreamy, the interiors are beautifully done, and every corner feels like a breath of fresh French countryside air. We didn't want to leave — and we're already planning our return.
Thank you for an amazing holiday. The villa is fantastic and allows for all ages to be entertained. Thanks for all the additional help within the week. It helped to make it a special holiday.
My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

One of the best houses we've stayed in. Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... We couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered by Mark and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!
