What a wonderful property! The fantastic set up with different residences suited our family group perfectly. The outdoor dining area and the mini kitchen were great, and having so much fridge space there and by the pool was very helpful. Mireille was absolutely brilliant – both in terms of advice and information before our arrival and while we were here. Thank you for a truly lovely stay.
Thank you! We have had a wonderful stay at your beautiful guest house. The decor is absolutely stunning and Susanne and I have been coveting your crockery and cacti for 2 weeks. The restaurant and wine tips were greatly appreciated and we have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and the lovely welcome.
Has the Wow factor. Everything you needed and more. A dream gateway. The kids especially were never bored. A wonderful, relaxing stay. We will hopefully return.
Nous avons passé la meilleure semaine ici dans cette belle maison, un endroit parfait, la maison avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Nous n'avions pas de voiture mais tout était accessible à pied. Nous avons passé chaque soirée à boire un verre au « Pub » en centre-ville, offrant de très bons cocktails. Le restaurant Chez le Gaulois a servi le meilleur plateau de fromages et de charcuteries, je ne pourrais pas les recommander davantage. NOUS ADORONS CET ENDROIT et nous reviendrons certainement l'année prochaine. Merci Jackie et Geoff pour ce beau séjour.

Once again there are no words that can really explain what a wonderful time we have had and how fantastic the Loft and the grounds are. Your hospitality is more than we could have asked for. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay here permanently as it’s difficult to leave the place! Until the next time ( and yes, there will be a next time ), au revoir - not goodbye.
La maison était top, très propre et incroyablement entretenue Rien à dire, tout était parfait.
À l'arrivée, nous avons reçu un accueil des plus chaleureux de la part des propriétaires, Caterina et Steve, rien n'était trop leur demander. Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux beaux lieux au fil des ans, mais cet endroit est vraiment spécial et un parfait petit bijou... l'intérieur est magnifiquement soigné avec de nombreux détails bien pensés, des fleurs fraîches aux bâtons d'encens... Caterina garde l'endroit impeccable, et comme neuf, un second chez-soi! Steve travaille dur pour maintenir la piscine et les jardins en parfait état, ce que nous avons vraiment apprécié. Nous avions séjourné en famille dans la ville voisine de Sarlat avant notre arrivée, ce qui était plutôt mouvementé, et nous avions hâte de nous détendre et de pouvoir décompresser... côté détente et tranquillité, cet endroit est difficile à battre, l'emplacement est fabuleux, et nous reviendrions de suite!
Nous sommes retournés à La Charmante Distillerie en juillet 2025 pour trois semaines après un séjour exceptionnel l'année dernière. La deuxième fois, nous avons ressenti un sentiment tout aussi spécial, voire plus. Mark et Gary ont créé ici un lieu inoubliable : un équilibre parfait entre un design élégant et un confort infini, paisible sans être isolé, et attentionné dans tous les domaines. Tout est pensé pour vous aider à ralentir et à déconnecter. Nos filles, 13 et 15 ans, ont immédiatement retrouvé leur rythme préféré : des heures passées dans la piscine, se détendre dans le confort douillet, créer des bijoux en plein air et profiter de la liberté offerte par le cadre. Nous avons fait de même : un café et un livre au soleil matinal, de longs déjeuners et des soirées tranquilles avec un cocktail ou deux, suivis d'une magnifique observation des étoiles tard le soir. L'un des véritables plaisirs de ce retour a été de pouvoir explorer un peu plus les communes environnantes, guidés par les suggestions avisées de Mark et Gary. Des restaurants et distilleries locaux exceptionnels aux marchés nocturnes, en passant par l'artisanat d'Aubeterre, les visites fascinantes des magnifiques églises templières et une journée inoubliable aux Bassins des Lumières à Bordeaux, chaque recommandation correspondait exactement à ce que nous recherchions. L'expérience s'est révélée plus riche et plus intime. Ce qui a rendu ce séjour encore plus précieux, c'est la présence de Mark et Gary comme hôtes. C'est un couple d'une gentillesse, d'une générosité et d'une authenticité exceptionnelles. Il est rare de trouver un endroit qui vous touche de la meilleure des manières, mais La Charmante Distillerie a parfaitement réussi. En y retournant, nous avons eu l'impression de rentrer chez nous et nous sommes repartis ressourcés, reconnaissants et déjà prêts à planifier notre prochaine visite… si Mark et Gary nous acceptent. Difficile de ne pas répéter ce que nous avions dit lors de notre première visite en 2024 : nous aimerions garder ce petit secret… mais ce ne serait pas juste. C'est vraiment la destination idéale avec des hôtes parfaits.

We have enjoyed every moment of our holiday here. We wanted to get away from our busy lives in London…and we did! Lounging by the pool or in hammocks, followed by evenings with delicious BBQs. Pézenas is a sweet little town with great places to eat and shop. Visit the market on Saturday for an explosion of the senses! We can't wait wait to return next summer.
We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay. The gite is very well appointed with lots of games, which our daughter really enjoyed. We especially enjoyed the warm swimming pool (cleaned daily), summer kitchen, beautiful garden and multiple outside seating areas. It is very well located and within easy reach of some beautiful Bastide villages. We especially liked Villareal and Eymet. Special thanks to Jean and Martin, who are perfect hosts and on hand to provide recommendations if needed. The local village of Lauzun is within a five-minute walk and we recommend the boulangerie and weekly table gourmands held during the summer. We are already planning a return visit!
Stunning property overlooking lake. Property is in great location but not isolated, walking distance to bar, restaurant, Boulangerie and takeaway pizza shop (or 2 minutes in car). Property is in excellent condition and is very clean and well looked after, the pool is great for a cooling dip, the area around the pool is also modern and clean with nice furniture too. Comfortable beds with crisp bedding, everything has been thought of with a lovely modern kitchen, unique dining table, comfortable clean sofa. Great views overlooking the lake but still very private. The house also stays quite cool as it's shaded by the trees which was great in the heatwave. The owners are really helpful and take pride in their special property. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday, will definitely be recommending to friends and family and would stay again when visiting this beautiful area of France *****
Nous avons passés un week-end tout simplement exceptionnel. Le château est très confortable avec une salle de bain par chambre, la rénovation extrêmement bien pensée et le soucis du détails très appréciable. C'est moderne et fonctionnel. Le chauffage fonctionne parfaitement bien. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut sur place (cuisine très fournie, chaine hifi, vidéoprojecteur...) L'animation dégustation de vin remplie le week-end et les balades dans les vignes au pieds du château sont top. Le personnels sur place est parfait.
AMAZING! Our stay at the Loft has been our best since we started visiting this area five years ago. Relaxed, very comfortable, well equipped and spacious - it is the perfect place to return to after a day out or even from just around the corner by the pool! Karen and Russell have been a revelation in the way that they host their property. Right from our wine on arrival to booking a restaurant for us - nothing was a problem or too much trouble for them and the informative e-mails before we arrived were very handy and well-timed. They are a gem! As is their Loft and as their next venture will be. We just need another week here!
After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our week so memorable; especially prior to us leaving the UK. Your e-mails and your flexibility made us have a sense of connection before we had met you both. We have appreciated all the small touches that have made our stay easier - from the notes, welcome pack, advice, booking restaurants, etc. A good life is made up of special memories. We celebrated a big family birthday at Château Mabrouke and enjoyed a welcoming and stunningly beautiful home, with great fun at the pool, tennis court, zipline and on the dance floor. The Pyrénées were the backdrop to the most glorious of settings. An unforgettable holiday.

We had a lovely stay at Pinaux. The house conversion is beautiful and comfortable for days we didn’t go out. Everything went smoothly with the keys and check in. Henk and Renee were friendly and welcoming. Thank you for providing some basics, including coffee, milk and sugar.
