Had a great 2 weeks. The house and gardens / pool are amazing - fresh air, beautiful scenery and sitting out every evening was so relaxing! The house is so well equipped and the kids really enjoyed all the facilities. Would absolutely recommend Orchard Farmhoue to anyone coming to the region. The location in great - so easy to get to Bergerac, Perigeux. Thank you for a great holiday.
Had a wonderful week with friends in the magnificent Château Velouse. A lovely place to relax (by the heated swimming pool, in the sumptuous rooms and the very well appointed kitchen - not to mention strolling round the extensive grounds!). Hosts Phil and Claire could not have been more welcoming and have provided copious notes about things to do and places to see. Such was the relaxed atmosphere (and the heat!) we hardly felt the need to leave the château. Our suite was so grand, that it was even hard to leave the bedroom!

Un merveilleux séjour et j'ai beaucoup apprécié la maison. Toutes les chambres sont en suite et trois d'entre elles offrent une vue imprenable sur les montagnes des Corbières et des Pyrénées. Il y a une piscine très bien entretenue, un joli jardin et un coin salon extérieur. Merci !

We have spent a very happy week here. The house is charming, very comfortable and relaxing. We have loved spending lazy days around the pool, enjoying the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The cafés of Poitiers were worth a visit. Thierry and Véronique have been lovely hosts, thank you.

I would, rather belatedly, like to say how much we (5 adults and two girls aged 3 and 6) enjoyed our stay end of May in Maison La Perouse. The gorgeous house worked well for our 3 generations; it was so comfortable and very well equipped. Although the weather wasn’t brilliant the girls played and ran around in the fabulous garden whenever possible. However the trampoline was the highlight for them. The pool and fab BBQ were at their best on the last 2 days when the sun eventually showed its face. Finally, Sue was a fabulous host and always on hand when needed, especially when I tripped the dryer. She took all the wet washing, used her own dryer and then hung everything up - such service! This is a wonderful house, not just for families but for everyone who likes comfort, space and great tourist destinations within about an hours drive. Thank you Sue and Pure France.

Nous avons passés une aagréable semaine entre pote. Le logement correspondait à notre attente. L'hôte était réactif et nous a arrange pour l'heure d'arrivée. Je recommande.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. Nous nous sentons tous très privilégiés d'avoir séjourné dans une maison aussi magnifique. Dès le début, nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus dans cette vraie maison, pas une simple location de vacances. L'endroit est vraiment magnifique et apaisant pour recharger ses batteries et visiter une région fantastique. Gastronomie et vin ont été appréciés de tous.
C'était la maison la plus parfaite pour que notre famille élargie puisse se retrouver et se détendre. La maison était joliment décorée et avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Les espaces extérieurs étaient charmants, avec de nombreuses options pour qu'un grand groupe puisse socialiser. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cuisine extérieure, la piscine et la table de ping-pong dans la grange. Le retour à pied depuis le bar local était agréable. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommandons vivement cette propriété et espérons y retourner un jour. Merci beaucoup.
L'appartement offre une vue imprenable et le balcon est un endroit très agréable où s'asseoir et se détendre tout en regardant la mer. Il est très spacieux et dispose également d'une table où prendre les repas en plein air. Un immense supermarché se trouve littéralement en face de l'appartement. Il est facile de prendre un train pour les grandes stations balnéaires : Monte Carlo, Cannes et Nice. Les trains sont rapides et si vous montez à l'étage, vous obtenez une vue fabuleuse sur la côte ! Nous vous recommandons également de réserver des vélos à la marina au 'Booking bikies". Il est si facile de faire du vélo grâce aux pistes cyclables tout le long de la côte. Nous sommes allés à vélo à Antibes deux fois, une ville charmante qui mérite une visite. Le trajet est complètement plat et dure environ 25 minutes. Idéal aussi pour aller courir tôt le matin ! Le long du front de mer se trouvent de nombreux restaurants et endroits où prendre un verre.
We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.
I just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic holiday. The only terrible part was leaving! The house was perfect and we all fell in love with it. And the views were wonderful from every room. The whole family have lots of happy memories of our 2 weeks there so thank you.

Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.
We have had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. We appreciate how clean it was when we arrived (thanks Yvonne) and the wine. We love the decor and period furnishings. The pool and small barn were great. It was interesting to hear about the history and previous occupants of the house from Bob and Margaret, the English neighbours across the road. Thanks. We hope to return one day.
A beautifully decorated house in a quiet location close to the town. We loved embracing life in Narbonne shopping in the nearby boulangerie and food market. We also recommend hiring one of the small boats on the Canal Robine. We hope to book your home again some day.
Le château et le parc sont magnifiques et bien entretenus. Les prestations sont excellentes. Des vacances fantastiques.
Alors que nous roulions vers le Nord, sur le chemin du retour, nous nous remémorions nos bons souvenirs de cette semaine passée. Votre belle maison, avec tant de caractère de confort a certainement fait toute la différence dans nos vacances. Nous l'avons tant appréciée que, j'en suis presque gêné de l'avouer, nous ne sommes sortis qu'une seule après-midi pour aller faire un tour au Lac Saint Cassien. Nous avons profité de tout... pétanque, les deux terrasses, barbecue, tennis de table, le magnifique patio extérieur, la piscine etc, etc... Les trois petits enfants de 2 ans et demi, 14 mois et 5 mois ont tous adoré! En fait, le petit de 1 an a fait ses premiers pas dans votre jardin! Ce fut des vacances très spéciales pour nous tous et nous voulions tout simplement vous dire un grand merci de nous avoir accueillis.
A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.
Une très belle maison et propriété. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et serviables et sont britanniques donc ils parlent à la fois français et anglais, ce qui est un plus. Puisque la maison d'hôtes est située sur le côté de la maison principale, vous aurez également de l'intimité quand vous le souhaitez. La maison d'hôtes est merveilleusement décorée dans un style typiquement français/britannique. Une grande cuisine, une grande chambre avec lit très confortable et une salle de bains moderne avec baignoire et douche. Vous avez votre propre terrasse où vous pourrez commencer la journée avec le petit déjeuner et une vue imprenable sur le jardin et les chevaux :) L'hôte nous a donné des conseils et nous a également fait venir dans la forêt où nous avons eu un plafond de nuit. Ils nous ont aidés à trouver un concert et nous ont également prêté leur barbecue et nous ont laissé utiliser le lave-linge. Nous recommandons vivement et serions ravis de revenir. Merci
Les vues depuis la salle à manger extérieure sont incroyables, du Mont Ventoux à l'est aux Dentelles à l'ouest et en descendant la colline jusqu'à la vieille ville médiévale de Vaison. On adore la balade vers Villedieu et déjeuner sur la place du village. Non loin en voiture de Gigondas et des Dentelles ce qui permet de belles promenades. Les marchés de Vaison et Bedoin sont un autre favori, le dernier marché a été suivi d'une montée au mont Ventoux. La maison a de belles finitions et est très confortable et bien équipée, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour ici.
