Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel instantly at home. The property itself is breathtaking - a perfect balance of elegance and nature. The beautifully maintained gardens, softly illuminated in the evenings, create a romantic and serene atmosphere, while the untouched woodland adds a sense of tranquility and adventure. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the luxurious accommodations to the stunning swimming pool overlooking the picturesque landscape. Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special. La Petite Maison Générille is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience, one that lingers long after you leave. We can't wait to return!
As I suspected when first shown around the Loft du Vigneron, we are going to find it hard to leave. The accommodation is truly first class, and you have been wonderful hosts. Thank you for all your suggestions of places to visit - we all have different highlights, but for Franklin it was the food market in Narbonne. All in all, a perfect holiday! We very much hope to see you (and Mack and Mabel) again.
On se sent vraiment dans une maison de famille, ce que cette maison doit être à mon avis. Les enfants étaient tres heureux de découvrir une malle pleine de jouets et de doudous, des déguisements pour se croire au Moyen-Âge, des tonnes de jeux de société, de livres pour petits et grands, de DVD. La maison est rendue très agréable par son aménagement qui fait que l on peut être nombreux tout en préservant chacun son intimité. Enfin nous avons apprécié la vue à couper le souffle chaque soir sur la vallée et la matin au réveil sur le château après être allés chercher nos croissants à pied. Je recommande également le marché du lundi matin et les nombreuses attractions le soir.
We've had a blissful week here. The house is beautifully and very stylishly renovated and is extremely comfortable and easy to live in. The surrounding environment is stunning. We've loved picking fresh figs straight from the tree breakfast and getting to know the local wines.
Thank you so much for your warm welcome in your beautifully decorated Loft. The four of us had a lovely time, enjoying Carcassonne, the mountains and the wine! We are going home very relaxed! We much appreciated your details and the welcome breakfast in the Loft.
This is a beautiful, fully modernised house in a lovely friendly village. A well designed spacious house over two floors with a large balcony from the modernised kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool and views of the surrounding areas The property is perfect for lazing by the pool and is Ideally placed for trips to many nearby beaches and to the cities of Narbonne, Béziers and Montpellier.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié les merveilleux petits déjeuners frais. Merci aussi pour les conseils recommandés sur les endroits à visiter : Bize-Minervois, Bagès, Sète et Carcassonne. Nous les avons tous visités. Ils étaient incroyables. Le dîner au Pourquoi Pas ? était magique. Un endroit parfait pour célébrer notre 25ème anniversaire. Merci ! Vous êtes les meilleurs hôtes.
Magnifique maison pour des vacances en famille, commodités de plain-pied et belle piscine avec bonne protection par alarme. Également un endroit idéal pour profiter de l'extérieur avec machine à pizza, barbecue et cuisine fonctionnelle très facile à utiliser. Beaucoup d'espaces salons extérieurs ombragés. La climatisation dans les chambres était un avantage considérable par temps chaud. De beaux meubles et nous nous sentions chez nous dans cette maison de famille heureuse. Accès facile à la boulangerie, au supermarché et au restaurant local, le tout à moins de 5 minutes à pied. Merci.
Jolie maison pour passer une semaine de détente en famille en Dordogne. L'espace est idéal pour 3 familles et les garçons ont particulièrement apprécié le jardin et la piscine.
Je voulais vous dire à quel point nous avons apprécié notre séjour. La maison est belle et nous nous sommes sentis très chanceux de pouvoir y séjourner. Nous avons eu de la chance avec la météo et avons pu nagé tous les jours après nos sorties au marché. La maison est l’une des meilleures (sinon la meilleure) dans laquelle nous ayons jamais séjourné et nous prévoyons d’y retourner dès que nous le pourrons.
Lovely quiet house with pool in the heart of a pretty village - garden well maintained and flowered with magnificent views of the Dordogne - Interior decoration - friendly welcome - Geographical location (30 minutes from Sarlat and Domme) - The area is superb. There are numerous activities and visiting castles or cities, biking and canoeing... Well recommended!

Le logement est magnifique au calme (quelque part nulle part). Une très belle propriété avec de vieux arbres et de délicieux arbres fruitiers. La piscine est grande et avec de l'eau salée au lieu du chlore. L'intérieur de celle-ci est décorée avec goût. Stan est un hôte sympathique et simple. Pour ceux qui veulent être calmes, spacieux et détendus sont à la bonne adresse.
La chose somme toute incroyable de cette maison, c'est que l'on s'y sent chez soi très vite. Nous sommes comme dans un cocon, magnifique, reposant, vivifiant. Nous avons passé ici 15 jours incroyables, des vacances que nous garderons en souvenir durant des années. Des coins étonnants, une mer enivrante, des découvertes enrichissantes, et une bande d'amis qui se sont rapprochés grâce à ce cadre. Cette villa est d'une beauté et d'une qualité incroyable, le cadre époustouflant entre la vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil sur les Cévennes, la piscine chauffée disponible à toute heure du hour et de la nuit ajoute encore une excellence au cadre. Nous sommes ici au calme bien que nous ayons tout ce qu'il faut autour, notamment à Béziers, au Cap d'Agde, à Sigean... L'Espagne est toute proche pour un dépaysement encore plus accru. Nous reviendrons avec grande joie et vous remercions très chaleureusement.

We've had an absolutely fantastic holiday. Apart from the stunning accommodation, the welcome and the help from Karen and Russell, we've also had great weather and lots of places to visit and things to do. Everything about our fortnight has been really enjoyable and will stay memorable.
A totally unique experience staying in a tower with a wonderful panorama view of the sea. You can spend hours sitting on the balcony, watching the tide go in and out and the ships coming into La Havre in the distance. At night when the tide is in, the sound of the sea is fantastic and almost feels like you are sleeping on the beach. The tower itself is nicely decorated, clean and kitted out with everything you might need for a holiday. The furniture and fittings are intelligently laid out to maximise the space at all levels so it doesn't feel cramped. Villerville itself was a charming, quiet seaside town with a few bistros and shops, perfect for escaping the usual hoards of tourists elsewhere on the Normandy coast. Definitely worthy of 4.5 star rating and only reasons for not getting 5 stars are lack of free parking on site (although plenty on the side streets behind the tower) and some evenings when the tide is out you get the occasional teenagers listening to music on the sea front until late at night.

Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans cette maison rénovée avec goût et confort. La maison est très bien équipée pour les petits et les grands avec la salle de jeux, le terrain de pétanque et une piscine d’une taille très appréciable. Une grande partie de la piscine est à fond plat. La vue sur les vignes et les champs est magnifique et garantit une déconnexion totale.
Our week at Maison Charvin from Arlo, the family dog. My family thinks that Maison Charvin is simply beautiful: opulently furnished, exquisitely decorated. More of a château than a maison. That said, my mummy says it’s not pretentious but cosy and homely, much appreciated on the unusually slightly chilly and windy days for part of our stay. The pool has provided instant relief for my family when the weather has been hot and sunny. My human brothers’ favourite space is the very relaxing courtyard where my mummy and I have dozed off on numerous occasions! My daddy has very much enjoyed reading many books from the vast collection. The house is deceptively large, providing ample chilling space for everyone, including me after a hot day in the sun. We enjoyed visiting Trebes (on the Canal), Carcassonne, Lagrasse and the dog-friendly beach in Narbonne. My family enjoyed the pizza which they ordered from the pizza van by the church on Thursday late afternoon. They also had baguettes and pastries (ordered in advance) from Aurelien at Vins de Dagne.

Il y a tellement de moments préférés, mais la piscine en fait assurément partie ! Brantôme - Le kayak était fabuleux ! Aubeterre-sur-Dronne le soir est aussi un incontournable !
Je voulais juste dire merci. Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment au Mas de Pitou. C'est de loin le meilleur endroit où nous ayons séjourné en France depuis 10 ans! La localisation est idéale, nous avons fait de jolies balades depuis la maison. Et la touche spéciale - la corbeille de fruits et de légumes - était magnifique! Nous reviendrons et le recommanderons certainement à nos amis. Carole a été super: aimable, serviable et d'une grande aide.
Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour dans une villa vraiment magnifique. Nous avons passé un moment vraiment fabuleux et nous espérons vraiment revenir. Le temps a été splendide et la piscine était absolument magnifique. Elle a répondu aux attentes de tout le monde, en fait, elle les a dépassées.

The Manoir is magnificent in every way. A perfect base for exploring The Dordogne. We all had an unforgettable holiday with lovely memories to treasure. Special thanks to Pierre and the lovely ‘pool guy’! Hope to return someday.
This is our second family holiday in this wonderful house. The welcome from Ian and Hugh when we arrived was excellent. The house and garden are beautifully cared for and the standard of accommodation is 'five star'. It felt like home from home rather than a soleless rental property. Having the owners on site was a plus as they where able to guide us with local activities and restaurant recommendations... there is a lot to do in this area and being so close to some of the best wine regions in the world is definitely a big plus. We also has a lovely day in Bordeaux, which is an easy drive or train journey and well worth the effort. We plan to return next year for our summer break and I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful peaceful haven to anyone wishing to experience the best in hospitality! Thank you Ian and Hugh, you have created something very special!
