We found the villa straightaway and were very pleased with the quality of the accommodation. Jacky was a great guy who made us feel at home and at ease.
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleusement agréable au Malardier. Le temps a été très chaud pendant quelques jours et il faudrait un peu de pluie. Les vues et la configuration de la propriété conviennent parfaitement à un grand groupe familial. Les années consacrées à la construction et au design ont vraiment porté leurs fruits. Alors, merci pour votre aimable hospitalité.
Nous avons passé de fantastiques vacances en famille, tout le monde a adoré la piscine / le court de tennis, les barbecues et les ballades dans les villages locaux. Nous sommes venus l'année dernière et nous réserverons certainement à nouveau.

Vous êtes des hôtes parfaits et nous avons particulièrement apprécié le superbe mobilier et tous les équipements. Vous avez toujours été très aimables et disponibles. Nous avons passé un excellent dîner à La Licorne et avons été ravis de visiter Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry et Chenonceaux, tous tellement mieux restaurés, entretenus et présentés qu'il y a 20 ans. Nous reviendrons bientôt !
La Maison Capitelle a dépassé nos attentes. Un séjour vraiment agréable.
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!
The house and the grounds are fantastic. The rooms were all spacious and we particularly appreciated the bedroom set up with interlinking rooms from the nursery. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and went for walks/runs. The children loved exploring the forest area. The swimming pool was fantastic. Loungers etc comfortable. The kids loved the swings etc and the playroom was well stocked. Everything we needed was here. The food was delicious and we really appreciate you taking into account the intolerances. Nous avons passé deux excellentes semaines dans ce cadre et la maison qui sont magnifiques. Nous avons profité à 100% de toutes les belles choses de tout ici. Nous adorons les ânes, mignons et gentils. Dommage que nous n’avons pas vu d’écureuils, mais nous avons vu hérons et différentes sortes d’oiseaux. Nous avons fait de belles excursions à Nérac, Clermont-Dessous, le pont-canal d’Agen et le jardin des nénuphars de Latour-Marliac et vu beaucoup d’étangs. Tout va nous manquer, le calme, le bel endroit, l’environnement, la splendide piscine, tout sauf la canicule :). Les seules choses qui nous ont manqué sont quelques ventilateurs (à cause de la canicule) surtout à l’étage et une veilleuse dans le couloir à l’étage + lumière dehors sur la terrasse. Pour le reste tout était parfait. Merci Karine et Pascal pour tout, pour votre gentillesse et votre service, votre attention et les délices offertes à l’arrivée. Merci au propriétaire pour l’aide apportée au niveau de l’électricité après l’orage. Merci pour TOUT.
We've had a lovely week here at the villa. It's been especially good for our youngest family member who has really enjoyed playing here. We loved the heated pool, especially when the clouds come over the fun can continue. Absolutely recommend a trip to see Carcassonne for those wanting a day trip, but remember to check what is open. Thanks so much, we hope to come back soon.

If you're looking for French charm and a true get away, then Le Mas de Combet is the place for you. A beautiful house with everything you need for a trip away with family or friends (the accommodation in the barn is so handy for young familys too). The property has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored plus communication was spot on, it was easy to book and any questions I had were answered promptly.

What a lovely place to spend two weeks relaxing and enjoying each other’s company, the views from the table are a wonderful backdrop for every meal and the swimming pool has given hours of fun for the children and adults alike. Nyons market on a Thursday and Saturday was great with lots of variety and wonderful hustle and bustle. We would love to visit another time.

Lovely spacious house, at the edge of a village. Beautiful pool area and pool house with shaded eating area. Excellent bathrooms and spacious modern shower facilities. Useful utility area. Lovely quiet setting. Good shop in next village, 4 miles away but bread machine just near property. House was lovely and clean and excellent welcome from caretaker.
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine au Le Manoir de la Compagnie. La propriété est très au calme, dans un beau site (grand jardin, beaux arbres...). Elle est très bien équipée : literie top, draps/serviettes/torchons fournis ainsi que gel de douche et shampoing, cuisine grande et bien équipée, tout est bien calibré pour un groupe de 12 adultes. Les pièces sont grandes et bien décorées. Les propriétaires sont charmants, disponibles sans être intrusifs, et ont une histoire familiale qu'il est intéressant de découvrir. Bref, je recommande tout à fait cette location
We have had a fabulous week. Weather brilliant. Amazing house, pool, views, olive grove. Perfect. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay in your beautiful villa. We particularly the swimming pool to cool down. We really enjoyed the surrounding scenery in which we star gazed in every evening. We really liked the films and games upstairs in the evening. We liked the trampoline and table tennis were awesome. Thank you.
We have had a wonderfully relaxing week in this beautiful house. The views are amazing and we enjoyed some wonderful drives out to various villages in the area. Nyons is a great place to have so nearby.

Many thanks for a great family holiday in a wonderful setting. La Ferme Éclaircie is great and proved perfect for our family. We especially enjoyed cooling off in the fantastic pool. The area and scenery are great also and we recommend the prune festival in Agen! We would love to come back.

We had a fabulous week! We really made the most of the pool and outdoor kitchen and there was nothing we needed which wasn’t there. It was hot - so mostly we went out early and got back to get in the pool/shade. It’s a great location for exploring the local area and we loved Monaco, Nice, Lorgues and St Maxime. Thank you for hosting us and thanks to G for her help too.
Thank you so much for our stay it was amazing. This is one of my favourite places in the world, just sitting by the field for hours on end listening and then coming back to play a family game of monopoly. Thank you again and we need to come back.
