What a lovely house and location. We have all had a lovely holiday. 3 generations together having a great time. Many thanks to Jery and Bridget who couldn't have done more to make our stay so happy. Love to come back.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. What would you tell your friends about your holiday ? It was a very pleasant stay. A very quiet house, very well equipped, with a much-appreciated pool. Beautiful scenery. What was the best thing about your stay ? The pool. The view over the landscape. The outdoor space. The air conditioning. What could we do better for your next stay? A pitcher/carafe (but perhaps we just didn’t find it). Were there any appliances you really wished you had? It was more than perfect. How was the comfort of your rooms, pillows, and beds? Impeccable. Do you have any comments on the garden, pool, plancha, etc.? Wonderful. Missing: the table game, and a tree under whose shade one could have lunch. How do you rate the information provided in this booklet? Perfect and complete. Is there anything important missing? One of our friends suggested an electric bike. Another thought that suggestion was excessive. How could we improve it? I note that the useful information, sometimes highlighted, already seems extremely well presented — also topographic details, routes, activities, plans for next year. Do you have any other comments to help us serve you better when you return next year? Looking forward to future visits. Final remark: We thank you for this very good stay in this very beautiful and interesting house, whose collection of books caught our attention.
An incredibly magical week in this very special home. With such a large (chaotic!) group it was wonderful to have so much space that the energetic children had so much to keep them busy and even allowed the adults to feel like they had R and R! Very much hoping to be able to come back and explore more as we enjoyed it immensely!

Nous avons vécu une expérience unique dans ce lieu très privé et exceptionnel. Un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer et profiter de moments mémorables en famille. Two splendid weeks relaxing and sight seeing with a very beautiful home to come back too. We can't fault the house, we especially loved the kitchen, pool room, swimming pool and of course the marvellous views.
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au château la semaine dernière! Le château était incroyable. Olha nous a fait visiter le château, elle était super serviable et nous a laissé notre espace. Les installations étaient toutes fantastiques… la piscine était magnifique, bien sûr, et la salle de sport était équipée pour que chacun puisse s'y entraîner. Le court de tennis était utilisé tous les jours et ceux qui l'ont utilisé (pas moi, je buvais du rosé au bord de la piscine et je lançais une balle que de temps en temps !) l'ont adoré. Les chambres étaient vraiment spacieuses et bien équipées, ce qui ne se voit peut-être pas sur les photos, mais ce n'est pas vraiment un reproche, juste une agréable surprise. Une autre bonne surprise a été la qualité de l'équipement de la cuisine. Il y a littéralement TOUT. Il y a une supérette et une boulangerie à moins d'un kilomètre, mais malheureusement, ce n'était pas vraiment accessible à pied pour les adolescents du groupe, car les véhicules rapides et il n'y a pas de sentiers. Mais ce n'était pas vraiment un point négatif quand on a tant d'autres choses pour les divertir. Nous étions quatre familles en vacances et nous sommes tous un peu grincheux chacun de notre côté, maintenant que nous sommes chacun de retour à la maison !
Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour !

L'hôte était super. Elle a fait de son mieux pour que nous nous sentions chez nous. Le secteur est pittoresque et idéal pour explorer cette région viticole.

Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.

What an amazing place and fantastic hosts, Hugh and Ian have given our family the perfect holiday. Thank you so much. The kids said the pool is amazing and really loved the salt water which didn't make there eyes sting like normal chlorinated pools. Oscar your adorable dog was also a big plus for Lara!

Nous voyageons maintenant dans la Loire après avoir passé une belle semaine aux Faures. Après quelques premiers jours nuageux, le temps s'est avéré magnifique. Nous avons beaucoup aimé explorer la région. Nous sommes allés faire du canoë à Pessac et sommes allés au magnifique château de Carbonneau. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié Le Gensake. Merci de nous avoir laissé séjourner dans votre charmante maison.
Nous avons tous passé 2 semaines très agréables à La Montade, la villa était très bien équipée et le cadre est magnifique. Le temps était également superbe!

In June, we stayed for a fortnight at L'Oliveraie. In the middle of the vineyards. Plenty of peace, space and beautiful views. The pool is great and beautiful views there too.

We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful house. You have made everything so comfortable and easy and it was such a joy to stay there. The location was perfect, such a peaceful spot with stunning views, in a pretty village. It exceeded all of our expectations. The region is so interesting too. We loved it all but especially the salt water swimming pool and the way you have landscaped the whole outside areas. We spent as much time as we could relaxing there. I hope we can return for another holiday soon! Thank you from us all. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. It really was perfect.
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances à Bessan et dans votre splendide maison. Nous sommes allés au marché local de Bessan. Pézenas est superbe, nous avons goûté du vin au Domaine Pal Mas et des crêpes à La Riposte à Agde - les deux valent le détour. Les enfants auraient profité de la piscine jusqu'à minuit si seulement nous les avions autorisés. Nous sommes très tristes de partir et serions heureux de revenir.
I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this house is, with its warm inviting rooms, its wonderful outside spaces and fabulous heated pool. It is decorated in a comfortable style that makes you feel as if you are at home and not in holiday accommodation. It is extremely clean; the kitchen and bathrooms, spotless, The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of clean sheets and towels. The house is fairly large and my husband I and stayed on our own, but we felt safe and secure. Obviously, with all the space, it is ideal for families, but equally as inviting for groups of friends. Situated in a small village, it is quiet - you can hear the church bells ringing in the local church. We loved to walk around the village and through the fields behind the house. We did think about going on a bike ride but decided just to sit by the pool most afternoons. It is an easy drive to Saint-Émilion (and other local vineyards) - my husband managed to find it without getting us lost! The drive from the airport probably took us about 40 minutes. Isabelle gave us wonderful direction - she speaks perfect English. In a word - wonderful!
What a beautiful location, breathtaking. A very warm welcome, you feel at home because of the fine reception. The hosts help you with everything you could want. The gîte is also spick and span and meets all your needs. Had a very relaxing holiday. Exactly as it should be! We recommend it to everyone and will definitely come here again.
Une charmante maison dans un endroit fantastique. Merci pour ce séjour fabuleux dans cette magnifique région de France. Le paysage environnant était spectaculaire : des vues inoubliables depuis la maison et la terrasse de la piscine. Tout était parfait dans la maison et la superbe piscine. Les commerces et restaurants à proximité étaient excellents. Quelle trouvaille !
Nous avons passé de nombreuses et heureuses vacances en France, mais comme cette année c'est notre 40e anniversaire de mariage, nous avons pensé que nous devrions chercher un endroit vraiment spécial - et nous l'avons trouvé ! La maison est un délice et le jardin est le plus bel endroit où se reposer et se détendre. La campagne environnante est très paisible et charmante et nous avons beaucoup apprécié les villes et villages voisins. L'abbaye de Fontevraud a été particulièrement remarquable, et les châteaux de Saumur, Chinon et Angers, que nous avons visités pour la dernière fois il y a plus de 30 ans, valaient tous la peine d'être visités à nouveau - tant de travaux de restauration ont été effectués dans les années qui ont suivi. Nous avons aussi aimé la Corniche Angevine qui longe la rive sud de la Loire entre Rochefort et Challones, et les nombreux vignobles. Un grand merci pour votre accueil chaleureux et votre aimable hospitalité.
