We have been visiting France on a regular basis for very many years. In more recent times we have been searching for a place that we might return to, and return to; a home away from home. We need look no more. The Loft is beautiful and a testament to great care and wonderful taste. The garden is inspirational, Mack and Mabel are a delight and Rieux is just what we had hoped for. Above all we think that we have been fortunate in meeting such kind and wonderful hosts who we now regard as friends. In summary our whole experience has been truly exceptional.
Thanks to everyone there for your help. We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was everything you said it would be. Thanks also for your reassurance during covid. We were so pleased we went.
What a fabulous place to relax and enjoy with the family ! House and pool have been a treat. And a few games of boules... Everything we could have needed. We are all very thankful for this time and hope to be able to return.
Notre semaine à la villa a été tout simplement magique ! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été frappés par la tranquillité des environs. La villa elle-même est magnifiquement entretenue. Il a fait très venteux pendant notre séjour et Philippe est venu chaque matin nettoyer la piscine ! Nous avons passé des heures dans la piscine – elle est tout simplement magnifique ! Chaque jour a apporté une nouvelle aventure – la visite de dégustation de vin à La Cave était vraiment intéressante (même si nous avons fini par dépenser une petite fortune !). Philippe a été l’hôte parfait – tellement aimable. Les viennoiseries livrées deux fois par semaine étaient délicieuses et un immense merci à Philippe pour les gâteaux d’anniversaire des 60 ans de mon mari le vendredi ! Le repas à La Tour était tout simplement incroyable – à tel point que nous avons décidé d’y retourner pour les célébrations d’anniversaire. Ce séjour a été du genre à vous ressourcer à tous les niveaux. Nous repartons détendus, inspirés et déjà en train de planifier notre retour ! Nous recommandons vivement à quiconque recherche une escapade française sereine associée à une hospitalité sincère et attentionnée ! Merci infiniment Philippe – nous sommes tellement tristes de partir mais nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs !
A very enjoyable stay. A place full of charm and a warm welcome.
What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.
This is the most wonderful place to have a family holiday; beautifully furnished, spotless, spacious and as peaceful as you could possibly hope a holiday to be. The pool is glorious, we spent hours playing table tennis, had wonderful meals on the big table outside and we watched the stars at night time. In the local area are vineyards, beautiful mediaeval towns and castles and lots of lovely food to be found in markets. It’s a perfect place for a happy holiday.

Whaou! La première fois que j'ai vu les photos je l'ai trouvé splendide, mais quand nous sommes arrivés, c'était encore plus magnifique. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. Debbie et Brent sont d'une gentillesse absolue et nous ont fait nous sentir les bienvenus. Les jardins sont si pittoresques! C'était nos premières vacances avec notre enfant d'1 an et nous ne pouvions pas rêver mieux comme vacances. Merci La Bastide!
We had a lovely week at the farmhouse with lots of swimming and relaxing by the pool. The children (and adults!) have enjoyed the excellent selection of toys and games. Wonderful location for days out nearby and we would recommend the local boulangerie for morning croissants and freshly baked bread. Leaving with lots of happy memories.

A wonderful week in the villa! The sun has shone and we've made the most of the pool! Very welcome relief from the heat. Villa is very well appointed - everything has been thought of. Local team were great, a quick response to our queries. We explored Pezanas and the beaches at Portiragnes and Sète - both fabulous! We agree - the welcome wine was a lovely thought - a good introduction to local wines! Thank you for a great week!
We stayed in this amazing house for a couple of weeks - 4 couples, with kids left home! The place is really hard to describe because it is so much more than we expected. Also the photos don't quite do it justice (especially the outdoors pics). It is a huge house, with several levels. All the bedrooms bar one are on one upper floor. The other bedroom (that we stayed in) is accessible on the side of the building and has a lovely little terrace with a small table and chairs. Perfect for taking in the sun or simply relaxing. I did do a bit of work there. On the lower level is the huge kitchen, big dining area with a really cool table that makes entertaining fun and loads of interesting living areas each individual and stylishly decorated. All in all it is a big place where it is easy to spend time with friends and be sociable, or retreat to one of the cosy, quirky but fantastic living spaces for me-time. We weren't quite sure what we would do there for 2 weeks as it seemed a little remote, but it is SO relaxing and welcoming we spent the first week just staying put and enjoying it. The swimming pool is great and I did my lengths every morning. The area just beyond the pool is great in the evening for a drink (or many more). The bedrooms are really special. Big and very well appointed. Comfortable beds and interesting bathrooms (ours had a built-in bath). The owner Fred is super friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed by him and his partner and to our surprise the fridge was filled with local produce and there was also some wine and fresh bread left for us! Great surprise and even better after the long drive down! For shopping we went to the closest town and there were 2 large supermarkets there as well as the usual bakeries/butchers etc. The area is very beautiful. The mountains are stunning and we found some really lovely villages to explore. We had a great dinner one night in Sauve. Really cute village well worth exploring. We ate on a square high up overlooking the river below. I could go on and on. The place has so much charm and is so well appointed, we could have stayed for longer. We have amazing memories and special thanks to Fred for having created this small piece of paradise.
We spent 10 days with 8 people (children, grandchildren ) and our dog in À Côté de L'O. The summer heat was well tolerated thanks to the pool and air conditioning. The space is even more generous than it appears on the photos. A huge fenced garden right on the Canal. Narbonne, Gruissan, Bages... many beautiful experiences are easy to reach by car. The location in beautiful Le Somail. The early morning round for dog bathing at the Cesse. Shopping fresh croissants and baguettes on the Épicerie - boat. All in all : perfect!
a wonderful treat to spend summer half term in the incomparable Le Grand Mas de Valcros. A house that really has every luxury and comfort with the most insane views. Endless pool-time, boules tournaments, visits to bastide towns and a trip to the sea - all missions that were completed with happy smiles. A million thanks for letting us share your home.
A hidden gem in France, a great place to slow down! The rolling hills, amazing pool and views to die for. Perfect.
Une autre quinzaine fabuleuse à la Maison Capitelle... nous adorons la maison et son confort.
Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.
Nous avons passé une semaine des plus merveilleuses ici dans votre belle maison. La maison, les jardins et la piscine étaient exactement ce dont nous avions besoin, à tel point que nous avons rarement ressenti le besoin de nous aventurer ailleurs sauf pour nous ravitailler. Nous espérons tous revenir bientôt.
Elle doit être la villa de vacances d'été parfaite pour une petite famille. En couple nous avons été rejoints par quelques amis pour une partie de notre séjour et nous avons passé de très bons moments au soleil. Le restaurant O 13 Clochers à Monteton a changé de direction et sert une cuisine délicieuse. Hostellerie des Ducs de bonne qualité - et le restaurant aux Seyches a un rapport qualité-prix incroyable. Nous sommes sûrs de revenir.
Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine relaxante au Malardier. La maison est magnifique et plus bellesque sur les photographies. Nous avons adoré regarder le soleil se lever, admirer la vue en prenant notre café du matin. La piscine et le pool house ont été appréciés de tous. Déjeuners tranquilles à l'extérieure et parties de pétanque le soir. Un grand merci à Richard et Gay, de si serviables et superbes hôtes.
Merci de nous permettre de partager votre belle maison. Malgré le temps inhabituel, nous avons passé un moment fantastique ici et avons pleinement profité de la maison, de la piscine et des jardins. Les vues sont spectaculaires. Frédéric est un bijou, il a été très sympathique et accueillant, toujours joignable et serviable même en cas d'orage et suite à une coupure de courant. Nous emporterons des photos et des souvenirs qui dureront longtemps.
Great vacation spent in Le Mas de Combet! Quiet house in the countryside with a superb pool. We were able to enjoy all the amenities on site. Thank you to our host for their excellent welcome and availability throughout the stay. We really recommend this property for a week with friends.
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce magnifique château. Le cadre est splendide et les équipements sont impeccables. Les enfants ont adoré la grande piscine, et surtout le plongeoir. Nous serions ravis de revenir. Merci.
We have recently returned from our wonderful trip to Dordogne which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sia and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Maison Montratier was a beautiful place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of the world. We would highly recommend this home and area to our family and friends.
Wonderful holidays in Nissan-Lez-Enserune. We had wonderful holidays there. Location was very convenient, inside the village where shops / market were at walking distance. Our car remained within the property, so no pb to park. We took it only to visit the nearby cities of Narbonne, Gruissan and Béziers (20/30 min ride). The house was clean, with recent works being done and well equiped (nice kitchen and bathrooms). Pool was large, clean and surrounded by beautiful oleanders. We'll consider coming again for sure. Fantastic stay in an amazing location. We were 6 adults and 5 children staying for 2 weeks. The weather was still mild and sunny in October and the views on the Corsican mountains and the bay of Ajaccio were stunning. The villa is spacious, very well furnished and in top shape. We used the living room fireplace (it has an extraordinary sixteenth century mantelpiece) every night, it was magical. It is a great place for families.

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique à la Villa Bellara en mai 2026. La propriété était impeccable et nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès notre arrivée. Notre groupe était composé de quatre couples, et la villa était si spacieuse que chaque couple a pu profiter de son propre étage. Chaque chambre était climatisée, confortable et disposait de sa propre salle de bain, ce qui a rendu notre séjour particulièrement agréable. La cuisine est grande et très bien équipée, idéale pour préparer les repas, et nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le barbecue à gaz Weber. La piscine chauffée était excellente ; nous l’avons utilisée tous les jours et c’était un véritable atout de la villa. L’emplacement est idéal : située dans un quartier résidentiel calme, la villa se trouve à seulement 15 minutes à pied de la plage, où l’on trouve un large choix de bars et de restaurants. Un supermarché et plusieurs boulangeries sont également accessibles à pied. Les transports en commun sont très bien desservis, ce qui facilite les excursions à Nice, Cannes, Monaco et au-delà ; il n’est pas nécessaire de louer une voiture. Jean-Luc, le propriétaire, a été extrêmement accueillant et a pris le temps de tout nous expliquer sur la villa à notre arrivée. Il a également précisé qu'il était disponible si nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit pendant notre séjour, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous recommandons vivement la Villa Bellara et espérons y revenir.
What a fantastic week! The house is absolutely beautiful and very well stocked, had everything we needed, particularly the outdoor area - BBQ every night! The staff could not be more helpful and we felt instantly welcome. We are going to book for next year when we get home!
