We have all had an absolutely beautiful week here at Le Chanlie. A truly special house in a magical setting. We will be back ! The pool area was such fun for us all and the bedrooms so relaxing.
The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.

We have had a wonderful week in your fantastic home. It has been so peaceful and tranquil here by the pool. Seeing the amphitheatre at Nîmes and canoeing under the Pont Du Gard were the highlights.
Une demeure fantastique à la frontière de la Dordogne et du Bordelais. La maison et le jardin étaient magnifiques. C'est une "demeure" plutôt qu'une location et nous avons adoré ça. Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin et une agréable sensation de chaleur. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour de 4 semaines ici. Les gérants de la maison étaient fantastiques et nous étions très tristes de nous dire au revoir. Ils nous ont donné plein de bons conseils sur les endroits à découvrir. Le lac Jemaye, la fête gastronomique du Pizou, les marchés locaux, le canoë près de Montpon, le magasin de la ferme locale qui vendait du lait directement de la laiterie, etc. Ce qui nous a marqué a été la dégustation de vins autour de Pomerol et de Saint-Émilion - nous avons fini par faire trois journées de dégustation de vins ! St Emillion est vraiment l'un des plus beaux villages que vous puissiez espérer visiter. C'est le point zéro du vin et il est chargé d'histoire. Le château nous manque terriblement. J'espère qu'un jour nous reviendrons.
We just wanted to say how impressed we were with the house we rented through Pure France. We have rented a lot of houses both in the UK and overseas and I think this was definitely one of the very best. It was so well equipped - not just in terms of entertainment but all the items in the house (especially in the kitchen) and home comforts and the swimming pool was perfect. We are so glad we found it and we had an excellent week.
Superb deluxe holiday rental - fabulous owner helped enhance many warm memories . Stayed in a family party of 16 over New Year. Great directions and arriving on New years Eve, the owner was waiting by the main gate to great us as the rest of our party had arrive the day previous. The quality of the roof finishes, furnishings, bedding, towels... all outstanding. We had arranged for provisions ahead of our arrival, all were present and correct, even the ham was premium quality Fabulous grounds, cosy sitting rooms and 2 friendly red setters roaming gave a homely feel in what is a stylish deluxe country residence. Fully equipped kitchen with a 1st class chef available, deluxe menus with fine wine options all available. At the owners suggestion we visited Bourges which is 15 minutes away for a cosmopolitan array shops, bars and resturants while also being steeped in history. The gardens even in winter were impressive but the jewel in the crown has to be the cathedral nestled in Napoleonic architecture. Recommended, recommended - Can't wait to go back
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. Des gens et une maison magnifiques. La maison et le paysage sont magnifiques et l'endroit très bien situé, profitant à la fois de la vie rurale tranquille et des équipements et événements culturels de Carcassonne, la ville voisine.

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette belle maison et dans la campagne environnante. La maison offre tout le nécessaire. La piscine était superbe. Un grand merci à Alan et Madeline pour leur hospitalité.

Great vacation spent in Le Mas de Combet! Quiet house in the countryside with a superb pool. We were able to enjoy all the amenities on site. Thank you to our host for their excellent welcome and availability throughout the stay. We really recommend this property for a week with friends.

All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.
Endroit fantastique. Paix et tranquillité et vue magnifique depuis le balcon. Proximité d’une plage privée. Cuisine parfaitement équipée, grand séjour. Je le recommande fortement à tout le monde. We travelled to this beautiful villa with friends for 6 nights and our stay was truly wonderful. We were fortunate with the weather most days so managed to enjoy some of the many amenities the villa has to offer including swimming and sunbathing by the pool, playing croquet and pétanque! We also ate outside on the veranda every day, enjoying the BBQ and the good weather. The villa had so much to offer. We had two days when the weather was not so good and were kept busy by the games rooms downstairs – we made great use of the pool table and projector for playing music, movies and watching sports, it really was a lifesaver on one particularly cloudy day. On arrival the villa was clean and the villa handbook was most helpful to support us settling in, additionally the host was quick to respond and always willing to help with our queries. The villa offers great privacy with peaceful surroundings and allowed us to relax away from others. The village is a short walk away and we enjoyed lunch there on our final day at the restaurant which is also worth a try. On specific days there were gourmet food trucks that stopped by in the village offering various sweet and savoury items – we tried the crepes which were lovely and a nice treat after an evening walk around the river and church in lovely Buzet. We loved everything about the place, I would highly recommend this to both friend groups and families.
La maison est géniale, chaque chambre possède son indépendance en terme de douche et WC. Elle est très spacieuse et bien fournie: un billard, Ping pong, barbecue, rétroprojecteur, énorme cuisine/bar très bien équipée et piscine (non chauffée). L’hôtesse d’accueil est très sympa.

What an incredible home base! We felt so fortunate to return here every day after days spent exploring the beautiful towns of Lot and the Dordogne. We wondered whether we might find Castelnau-Montratier to be a little too quiet, but were always grateful for the respite. The house and its quiet luxury hiding behind the unassuming little gate was a constant surprise to us and we loved every minute. Many thanks to Barbara for quickly responding to our every query. We are already wondering when we'll return! P.S. Viking chess is our new favourite game!
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine à La Maison Cabanon. C'était génial de se sentir chez soi ici. Tous les enfants se sont immédiatement détendus. Nous avons eu quelques jours nuageux alors nous sommes allés à Baux-de-Provence. La visite du marché de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (le mercredi matin) et la découverte de L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue sont autant de belles choses à faire. Mais nous avons surtout apprécié la fabuleuse piscine ! Un cadre magnifique, une ambiance agréable. Merci.
Villa Barthélemy is a very nice property. Location, very quiet and private. Great pool and very nice view of Mougins and in the distance the sea. Very nice rooms were renovated, the whole house is very nice. Shopping for the food I recommend Grand Frais, everything very fresh, meat fish cheese ; and to the best bakery 5 minutes on foot. I can highly recommend Les Cypres...

Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.
As anticipated, it was as wonderful as last year and we have all had a splendid time and are sorry to have to leave. Thank you so much for your wonderful Loft and your hospitality. We are all looking forward to our visit again next year.
Quelle belle maison! Les jardins, la vue et la piscine sont tout simplement magnifiques et nous avons passé les plus belles et les plus reposantes vacances en admirant la vue, en profitant de la magnifique piscine et du fantastique canapé, l'endroit idéal pour se détendre à l'ombre du mûrier. Marianne [la femme de ménage] a été merveilleuse - nous avons apprécié la balade en canoë sur le Dropt et la visite d'Eymet, sinon nous avons tout ce dont nous avions besoin ici!
Nous pouvons honnêtement dire que la Villa Baleyssagues est la meilleure propriété dans laquelle nous ayons séjourné en France. Les photographies sur le site ne rendent pas vraiment justice à la maison. Elle est située dans une magnifique position surélevée, avec des vues spectaculaires sur la campagne environnante. La maison offre un équipement haut de gamme avec de la vaisselle et des couverts en abondance. Il y avait tellement de petites attentions, avec des compositions florales fraîches dans plusieurs chambres et le meilleur pack de bienvenue que nous ayons jamais eu au cours de nos sept années de visite en France. Merci Frédéric de nous avoir accueilli à la Villa et de s'être occupé de nous pendant notre séjour.
