Absolutely loved our stay at Le Séchoir Carme! It’s a fab barn conversion (decorated to a high spec) with lots of space inside and out. The pool is a great size too, if you want to get some lengths in! I would also recommend the night markets which are held in many local villages and are so much fun!
Encore de belles vacance passée dans cette région. La maison nous a offert tout ce dont nous avions besoin, tout comme les photos et les descriptions l'avaient montré. Le standing autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur était fantastique. Souvent en France, les piscines peuvent être un peu éloignées de la maison/des espaces communs extérieurs, mais c'était un aménagement fantastique pour que tout le monde puisse en profiter toute la journée et toute la soirée. La piscine était la meilleure partie, en très bon état et a procuré des heures de plaisir aux enfants et aux adultes, tout comme la salle de jeux. La maison était très spacieuse et toutes les installations/équipements fournis étaient idéaux. La petite promenade dans le village à travers les champs pour notre pain et nos gâteaux du matin et la proximité de Duras et d'Eymet (les villes que nous aimons visiter) en faisaient un endroit idéal.
Beautiful accommodation with so much attention to detail! We were all very amazed by the cleanliness and its amenities. We have never been to such a beautiful place before. We were a group of 6 people. On the terrace you have a beautiful view and there is a waterfall nearby. Sophie is a very lovely and helpful person. We were already very convinced of the pictures of the villa, in reality it was even more beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was no lack of a device or spice. Very very hygienic everything! I would be happy to come back.
I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this house is, with its warm inviting rooms, its wonderful outside spaces and fabulous heated pool. It is decorated in a comfortable style that makes you feel as if you are at home and not in holiday accommodation. It is extremely clean; the kitchen and bathrooms, spotless, The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of clean sheets and towels. The house is fairly large and my husband I and stayed on our own, but we felt safe and secure. Obviously, with all the space, it is ideal for families, but equally as inviting for groups of friends. Situated in a small village, it is quiet - you can hear the church bells ringing in the local church. We loved to walk around the village and through the fields behind the house. We did think about going on a bike ride but decided just to sit by the pool most afternoons. It is an easy drive to Saint-Émilion (and other local vineyards) - my husband managed to find it without getting us lost! The drive from the airport probably took us about 40 minutes. Isabelle gave us wonderful direction - she speaks perfect English. In a word - wonderful!

C'était notre deuxième séjour au Cottage du Jardin et certainement pas le dernier. Caterina et Steven sont des hôtes parfaits, d'une compagnie agréable quand le moment s'y prêtait, mais qui nous laissaient une totale intimité le reste du temps. Pour être honnête, ils étaient tous deux de bons voisins et nous ont fait sentir comme chez nous. Nous ne tarissons pas d'éloges sur la région, le cottage et Cat et Steve. Merci pour cette semaine agréable.

Just back at work after two weeks at Maison Tigre and wanted to thank you for sharing your home with us – we had a fantastic time. We have been staying in France and Italy over the last ten years – varying our choice between rural isolation (for space and privacy) and village houses (for the boulangeries and café s, etc.) and I have to say that your home provides the perfect combination in a part of France where there is so much to do and see. I also really like the house itself – the great care that has gone into the development, finishing and furnishings is evident (and I like the modernist / minimalist style you have employed). All in all a brilliant holiday.
We have just spent 2 very enjoyable weeks at Villa Montplaisir. The villa is equipped to a very high standard and Thierry was informative and helpful throughout our stay. The apricot tree kept us well supplied with fresh fruit each morning... delicious. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk and offers a variety of bars and restaurants to suit most tastes. There is a market 3 times a week which has the usual buzz and good choice of fresh food stalls. We would recommend the villa as a very good base to visit both the coast and hinterland.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us and making us so welcome. We have had an amazing week - so peaceful and quiet with walks through the forest and saoking up the tranquility of the lake, watching the fish jump and the kingfisher dive. We will take away beautiful memories of Colombat.
C'était la maison parfaite, tout ce dont nous avions besoin et plus encore.
A perfect villa with a perfect property manager. We are six retired Americans who travel together often. The property manager is most responsive we have dealt with. If messaged at a reasonable hour she respond in minutes. Now add to that a wonderful modernised property in a wonderful location and you get what we got, a perfect vacation. The property manager arranged a driver and a cook and both were outstanding. The property has stunning views and easy access to rail, within walking distance of fine restaurants and the privacy all renters seek. If you are visiting the south of France and you want to be a short distance from all things and a short train ride to Cannes and Nice, you cannot do better than this property and you will not find a better property manager. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

What a week at Château Richelieu, where we were fortunate enough to get married in front of 90 of our closest friends and family! To say it was an amazing experience and venue would almost be doing it a dis-service! It's hard to put down in words just how perfect our big day was at Château Richelieu. It would be very difficult to beat as a venue for a wedding and we would not have had our day anywhere else in the world. Our hosts could not have done any more for us. The support before, during and after the wedding has been above and beyond. Honestly, cannot recommend Château Richelieu highly enough and we will definitely be returning with friends / family for another visit.

Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour dans une villa vraiment magnifique. Nous avons passé un moment vraiment fabuleux et nous espérons vraiment revenir. Le temps a été splendide et la piscine était absolument magnifique. Elle a répondu aux attentes de tout le monde, en fait, elle les a dépassées.
Merci beaucoup de nous avoir permis de séjourner dans votre maison. Nous y avons passé un très bon moment avec nos enfants. Le temps était splendide. Nous avons apprécié la piscine, le jardin et toute la demeure. Nous avons réussi à faire quelques visites. Nous nous souviendrons longtemps de ce séjour et nous espérons revenir ici à l'avenir. Nous venons de passer des vacances des plus merveilleuses dans une maison tout aussi magnifique, La Barde. La propriétaire nous a accueillis chaleureusement et nous a également préparé un gâteau inattendu mais très apprécié. La maison est absolument magnifique et grande, les pièces spacieuses et meublées avec goût permettent à chacun de se réunir ou de trouver un endroit calme. La maison est exceptionnellement bien équipée et les miroirs et les prises sont parfaitement placés pour se sécher les cheveux, un élément très important ! Fabuleuse piscine de bonne taille avec suffisamment de transats pour tous. Nous étions 8 personnes, 2 couples de parents avec nos 4 enfants adultes (18-25 ans). Nous avons tous convenu que c'était la meilleure maison que nous ayons louée (et nous louons de belles maisons depuis de nombreuses années). La propriétaire était tout simplement charmante et nous la voyions de temps en temps nettoyer la piscine tôt le matin. Idéalement situé à proximité des villes voisines d'Aubeterre et Bourdeilles et de belles promenades directement depuis la propriété. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir à La Barde à l'avenir et pensons que ce serait idéal pour tous les groupes d'âge.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, it was the perfect place to spend our 30th anniversary! The views are amazing, village charming and the pool well used. Thank you also for the cold meats, cheeses and wine on our arrival, a really welcoming touch. We would definitely recommend a day kayaking to Pont du Gard, a really good way to spend the day, hats, suncream and picnic a must. Again, a very big thank you, we would love to return one day.
Notre séjour de deux semaines dans cette magnifique villa française a été le point fort de notre été. Un immense merci à Philippe. Dès le premier jour, il a été un hôte extraordinaire, nous apportant du pain personnalisé et des viennoiseries pour le petit-déjeuner, et emmenant Ed faire une dégustation de vin. Nous avons adoré notre dîner au restaurant, également organisé par Philippe, à La Tour à Montady. Il a été notre référence pour toutes les informations touristiques et sa connaissance locale, des recommandations de plages jusqu’au lieu où acheter un gâteau d’anniversaire. En plus de cela, nos chiens (Bella et Luna) l’ont adoré. La villa elle-même est superbe et nous nous sommes sentis chez nous dès que nous avons franchi la porte. Nous avons profité de journées autour de la piscine, de barbecues le soir et de jeux dans le salon après de merveilleuses petites excursions aux alentours de Maureilhan. Nous n’avons pas envie de partir ! Mais c’est la vie !
We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!

Séjour extra dans un cadre idyllique! Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour d'une semaine en famille. Les hôtes sont charmants et très disponibles. La maison est très agréable à vivre et la literie excellente! La piscine est superbe, le pool house également... en clair, une semaine parfaite!
Le confort et le bon goût règnent dans cette maison. Des champs à perte de vue la Dordogne à 2 pas. On se sent bien dans cette maison familiale. Prestations de qualité. Les propriétaires ont veillé à notre confort et nous ont fournis de bonnes adresses pour profiter des merveilles de cette région.
Belle maison au calme, tout est fourni, une semaine très reposante et un temps mitigé, mais pas gênant avec une maison comme ça. Frédéric était très sympathique et serviable. Nous serions ravis de revenir, espérons-le, un jour. Et de si belles roses partout dans la maison ! Merci encore.
