We have had a wonderful 2 weeks with beautiful weather, and the great pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our time out and about in Dordogne – Beynac, La Cabannes, Rocamadour, Cahors — all great days out. Thank you to Sonia and Mark for looking after us and having such a well-equipped gîte.
Fantastic scenery and plenty to do in the area. Natalie was very helpful and always on hand if needed. Thank you again for letting us stay in your beautiful home. P.S. Dom loved the running!
We had to wait a long time for our much anticipated return visit to your wonderful villa - and it did not disappoint. We have had the best time, Sophia enjoyed the pool (as we all did). Great place to explore this fabulous area, a boat trip to Saint-Tropez and Port Grimaud plus two beaches. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to coming back for a third time.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. We are a family of two adults and three teens and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Somail! The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and there was plenty of space inside and out. The pool area is very sheltered and private - having the pool to cool us down on the hottest of days was certainly appreciated! We enjoyed being so close to the canal and seeing the boats sailing past, it’s a beautiful location. There is a good selection of places to eat and drink within a few minutes walk of the house, yet the house was very peaceful and we were never disturbed by any noise from the restaurant next door. There were plenty of activities within an easy driving distance to keep us all amused for the duration of our stay including lakes, beaches and shopping. We hope we can return again, thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Very pleasant and restful stay for an extended family. My extended family and I stayed at Château Velouse for two weeks in August. It was a delightful time. The hosts are exceptional. We were treated to a warm welcome after arriving later than usual, after a long and tiring journey. All we needed for supper and the following day's breakfast was provided free and with no fuss. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. The hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our time there. Château Velouse easily absorbs a large number of people. High ceilings and wide hallways give a great sense of space. The rooms are large and comfortable. The ensuites are of a high standard and the grounds are magnificent. We all had a magical time. Our sincere thanks to Claire and Phil and Alex for all you did to make this post wedding get together a wonderful success.
We loved the site; very peaceful and relaxing, despite the suburban setting. Everything you need is here! Pézenas is a beautiful place and we also liked Meze, Tourbes and especially enjoyed kayaking down the Hérault river.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. The house is very well equipped for a comfortable holiday. The location was perfect, offering peaceful surroundings while being close to local attractions, restaurants and shops. Loved Saint-Émilion, parked easily and not too busy. Very friendly tortoise enjoyed lettuce and came when quickly we called him Ted. Thank you!

C'est vraiment une propriété merveilleuse avec des hôtes sympathiques et accueillants : c'était encore mieux en vrai que sur les photos. La maison ne manque de rien, ni en charme ni en qualité de finition intérieure et tout était prévu pour rendre notre séjour aussi confortable qu'on pourrait l'espérer. C'était une véritable « maison loin de chez soi » avec plusieurs petites attentions qui ont fait toute la différence (savon frais dans la salle de bain, dosettes de café et eau en bouteille si nous le voulions dans la cuisine pour n'en citer que quelques-unes). Tout cela, combiné à un emplacement fantastiquement pittoresque et paisible, fait que nous ne pouvons que recommander cette propriété et que nous reviendrons très certainement la prochaine fois que nous visiterons la région Languedoc en Occitanie !
Une villa merveilleuse et un hôte formidable. Nous avons passé des vacances incroyables à la Maison des Communes et visité les environs. Délicieux repas au restaurant de la Tour et Pica Pica à Béziers. Un peu de vélo agréable et beaucoup de détente au bord de la piscine (la piscine a été parfaitement entretenue par l'hôte). La livraison du petit-déjeuner était aussi un vrai régal ! Merci.
We liked it so much last year we came back to enjoy being at this most beautiful place – a little piece of paradise. It’s been very hot but the house is cool (and so comfortable) and the pool and the dining terrace make it perfect. Thanks to Mark and Janet for making it so lovely. We’ll be sad to leave.

Nous avons passé un séjour des plus incroyables au Château Périgord. Douze amis de 38 ans ont fêté deux 65 ans, un 60 ans, deux départs à la retraite et un 21 ans. Nous ne pouvions pas penser à un meilleur endroit pour fêter ces événements. La demeure est magnifique et répond à tous nos besoins. Les propriétaires ont été incroyables, merci pour toutes vos recommandations. Cet endroit va terriblement nous manquer, mais quels souvenirs incroyables nous avons, merci !
Nous avons profité de deux semaines incroyables au soleil, nous avons passé quelques jours au bord de la piscine. Vous pouvez nager et admirer la vue imprenable sur les collines au loin. L'appartement est impeccable et a tout ce dont nous avions besoin au début de nos vacances. Les propriétaires parlent anglais, ce qui est utile si vous avez besoin de quelque chose manquant à la propriété. Nous serions ravis d'y retourner.

A fabulous 2 week holiday for the whole family, ages from 11 weeks to 70 years!! A superb house + grounds and a very special thanks to Lynda for her generosity + helping us on our last weekend.

We had such a lovely week at Les Cabannes with 3 generations of our family... A fantastic, well equipped, welcoming house in a beautiful place, set in so much space for everyone to do their own thing, if they so desire. Les Cabannes really is in perfect seclusion but not isolation - plenty of wonderful things to see and do nearby, if you can persuade yourself (or anyone) to leave the pool!
Nous avions besoin d'une pause pour décompresser et nous détendre. Nous sommes tombés sur La Charmante Distillerie grâce à une recommandation et elle a dépassé toutes nos attentes. Les enfants étaient loin de leurs appareils électroniques et ont joué à la pétanque, au babyfoot, au badminton et même à des châteaux de sable. Ils se sont ensuite rafraîchis dans la piscine, avec de nombreux jeux pour les divertir. Le plus mémorable, c'est l'accueil ! Mark et Gary sont des hôtes exceptionnels. L'accueil dans leur magnifique maison de vacances était d'une grande authenticité, tout comme leur hospitalité – à la hauteur de nos attentes. Nous y retournerons certainement et avons hâte d'observer les étoiles avec le télescope de la maison dans le ciel nocturne limpide.
We had a very nice week here. We really enjoyed the pool and the pool table. We highly recommend the market on Thursday mornings. We loved the view of the vineyards and mountains. It was an excellent week. We really enjoyed it!!
There aren't enough words to describe how much of a great time we have had. The Loft was amazing and we can't wait to come back in 2017. Karen and Russell are just the perfect hosts. See you next year.

We had a wonderful week in La Tourouzelle. The large pool and adjoining deck was a gift in the strong sun. The house has everything you would want, with each bed and couch as comfortable as the next! The view from the terrace, taking in the vines, the woods and even the Pyrénées is breathtaking!
