Had a great 2 weeks. The house and gardens / pool are amazing - fresh air, beautiful scenery and sitting out every evening was so relaxing! The house is so well equipped and the kids really enjoyed all the facilities. Would absolutely recommend Orchard Farmhoue to anyone coming to the region. The location in great - so easy to get to Bergerac, Perigeux. Thank you for a great holiday.
Nous y avons récemment passé un séjour très mémorable et agréable. Cette propriété luxueuse est confortable, bien présentée et très propre. Les vues depuis la propriété sont exceptionnelles et la piscine à l'horizon est le rêve de tout le monde. L'emplacement offre un accès aisé à Saint Paul de Vence et à la région environnante et constitue donc une base idéale pour découvrir les sites locaux.
Nous avons passé une semaine absolument charmante à Grand Mauran. Félicitations, cette maison est vraiment super, confortable et bien équipée, nous la recommanderons tous à nos amis.
Many thanks for your kindness, we loved the figs, wine et the apple pie. The pool was very nice and the house perfect. Thank you for this fabulous fortnight! Recommended trips with children: Narbonne and Gruissan beach, aerospace Museum in Toulouse, at least 2 trips to Carcassonne, Perpignan worth the drive, Saturday market in Carcassonne.
Lovely property and surrounding grounds. We enjoyed the pool enormously with everything you provide and also the countryside here.
We absolutely loved being here. The home you’ve created is a beautiful entity, with such thought at every turn, and the surrounding gardens have a tremendous sense of peace. Thank you for all the well-planned details, and the delicious tart that awaited us (and therefore an introduction to the most incredible boulangerie!). We leave with a filled-up nourishment, and hope we can come back. Wishing you both a peaceful and joyful year.
We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!

Une beau point de chute pour nos 2 semaines! L'espace extérieur couvert + la cuisine étaient super. Nous avons passé la majeure partie de notre séjour à observer la faune incroyable! Nous avons vu des cerfs, des lézards, des buses et même pu voir les oisillons nichant au-dessus de la porte des toilettes extérieures quitter le nid! Monflanquin était magnifique ! Cathy + Stéphane étaient adorables + nous avons adoré regarder la voiture 2 CV de Stéphane rouler! Merci.
We had a fantastic time at Mas de Clouze. We walked to Beaumont, canoed at Cenac, visited Montpazier and Chateau de Biron. Lots of long lunches at the house and hours of fun in the pool. Many thanks.
C'est notre troisième visite à la Villa - nous commençons à nous sentir comme à la maison ! Un autre séjour merveilleux - nous avons encore passé un très bon moment et sommes désolés de laisser la paix et la tranquillité derrière nous. Merci à Frédéric comme toujours pour l'accueil très chaleureux, toujours là en cas de besoin. Tant de souvenirs à ramener à la maison et merci de nous avoir permis de rester dans votre belle maison.
An amazing house with the best swimming pool we have ever seen! 16 of us stayed in this lovely house for 2 weeks as we took the little gîte as well. We had a fabulous holiday. You have to drive up through fields of sunflowers to get there – a great welcome. We had loads of children but the pool is so big they spent the whole time doing acrobatics in it – and there was still room for us adults, when we managed to peel ourselves off the sun loungers. Evenings were spent playing tennis on the courts in the house grounds, BBQs, or local restaurants.
We have had a fantastic time, our 2nd holiday here, weather was brilliant-sunshine every day, we all loved the pool, a great way to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary!
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!
We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in Les Oliviers du Sud. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.
This is the most wonderful place to have a family holiday; beautifully furnished, spotless, spacious and as peaceful as you could possibly hope a holiday to be. The pool is glorious, we spent hours playing table tennis, had wonderful meals on the big table outside and we watched the stars at night time. In the local area are vineyards, beautiful mediaeval towns and castles and lots of lovely food to be found in markets. It’s a perfect place for a happy holiday.
Au fil des ans, nous avons passé des vacances en famille dans de nombreuses villas françaises et La Charmante Distillerie surpasse sans conteste toutes les autres. La qualité de l'hébergement, tant sur le plan pratique qu'esthétique, est irréprochable : la climatisation fonctionne parfaitement et silencieusement, le chargeur de voiture (22 kW) était excellent (nous avions deux véhicules électriques), la qualité des équipements est irréprochable, les lits confortables et les quatre salles de bain impeccables. La décoration et les œuvres d'art sont également très agréables. À l'extérieur, le terrain est magnifique, les jardins bien entretenus et la piscine vaste et parfaitement équipée. Nous avons passé de nombreux déjeuners agréables sous le joli auvent et profité de l'excellent barbecue à plancha. Mark et Gary ont été extrêmement accueillants et généreux avec les provisions et les boissons qui nous étaient laissées. Nous n'avons rien laissé de côté ! En résumé, un merveilleux second chez-soi pour passer du temps en famille – nous étions deux chacun sur trois générations, et nous ne nous sommes jamais disputés. Je ne peux pas recommander suffisamment La Charmante Distillerie, et c'est dommage que nous n'ayons pu y rester qu'une semaine.
Nous avons séjourné dans la belle Maison des Cordeliers à Sarlat en juillet 2024. Que dire ? Une propriété parfaite dans un endroit parfait au sein d'une ville magnifique. La piscine et l'espace extérieur sont tout simplement charmants, incroyablement privés mais à seulement cinq minutes à pied du cœur de l'action. Très paisible et bien équipé. La propriétaire Jackie est très serviable avec des réponses rapides à toutes les questions et offrant toute l'assistance supplémentaire nécessaire concernant la région et les recommandations. La villa elle-même est équipée de manière très réfléchie tout en conservant une atmosphère française authentique. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommanderions assurément cette villa à 100 % si vous avez la chance de visiter la belle ville de Sarlat.
C'est notre second séjour à La Maison Bosquetere. Ce n'est pas sans raison que nous y revenons. Nous y avons à nouveau passé d'agréable vacances. Une belle maison bien équipée dans un endroit agréable. Les équipements sont biens entretenus. Bonne base pour explorer la région. Mais aussi un endroit parfait pour se détendre pendant que les enfants s'amusent dans la piscine.
This was our first holiday with our girls aged 2 years and 9 months. They had an amazing time! What a welcoming, beautiful place this is. Thank you so much for opening your home for us to share. It was the perfect place for our extended family to be together. Thank you for this fabulous experience.
We had an absolutely delightful holiday in Argeliers and all six of us (four adults and two children) loved the house and hated to leave. We did the usual visits for first-timers in the region: Carcassonne, Narbonne, Gruissan, the Abbaye de Fontfroide, various villages along the Canal du Midi, etc. We had a ball and were always looking forward to return to the Maison Tigre at the end of the day. The pool was a high-light, so much so that it was sometimes difficult to get the children out to visit (and the adults also). The house was also a delight, with such a great design that we immediately felt at home. Thank you also to Alan and Cathy for their warm welcome and very useful explanations. All six of us have very good memories of our (alas short) stay at Maison Tigre and we still remind each other often of our summer holiday. I would like to congratulate you again for the wonderful job you have done with the restoration of Maison Tigre, with the design and with the equipment provided, which was just right for us (I may be repeating myself here, but it really is a wonderful home, so another round of applause is not excessive!)
Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre dernière semaine à Camirout. Nos endroits préférés ont été Bergerac, Monpazier et le marché nocturne de Prayssas. Tous mettaient en valeur la belle histoire de cette région et une cuisine exceptionnelle. La piscine a diverti les enfants pendant des heures. Merci beaucoup. Toute notre affection, famille Adams.
Les Fumerates sont fantastiques. Proche de Saint-Paul-de-Vence, la propriété est particulièrement bien située (à 30 minutes de Nice ou Grasse en voiture, à 20 minutes à pied de Saint-Paul, etc.) et offre un paysage tellement époustouflant ! Imaginez-vous être dans la piscine avec vue sur la mer... Pour ceux qui souhaitent venir quand il fait un peu froid sachez que lorsque nous y étions, la piscine était à 27 degrés (en avril) Je recommande vivement cet endroit, assurément.
I just wanted to drop you a line to say how very much we enjoyed our week in your lovely home - it truly is superb! In fact, we all had such a good week, I am about to email in order to book for next year. I notice on the website that next year's dates are already there so we thought we'd better book quickly (and before you decide that it is far too beautiful to leave!)

We've had a wonderful week, enjoyed by all. We thought the tapas evening with Emma was great fun and well worth it, she's very knowledgable. We ended the week with lunch at Domaine Gayda, a great recommendation. We were sad to leave such a lovely home which exceeded our expectations and I would love to think that one day we could return. Nous louons des villas dans le sud de la France depuis plus de 20 ans et nous pouvons dire que le propriétaire de la Maison des Communes a été le meilleur hôte que nous ayons jamais eu. Des cadeaux de bienvenue très généreux aux livraisons de petit-déjeuner deux fois par semaine en passant par l'excellent repas au Pourquoi Pas, il n'aurait pas pu faire plus pour nous. La maison est idéalement située, dispose d'une belle piscine et de vélos robustes. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir à parcourir les vignobles à vélo jusqu'à Montady, Capestang, Cazouls et aussi le long du Canal du Midi. Un endroit idéal pour un groupe d'amis en vacances prolongées. Merci beaucoup.
