From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home with brilliant accommodation including a lovely pool and Martyn and Jean looked after us giving suggestion of places to visit. The area was brilliant with lots to see and many restaurants within a ten minute drive plus one restaurant, bakers butchers and general store all within walking distance. A special thank you to Ombre for keeping our football skills on song. I would thoroughly recommend.
Wonderful holiday in this beautiful and stylish home! The house has been refurbished to a very high specification and the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are luxuriously contemporary. The kitchen is impressively well equipped. There is so much to do in the area which is steeped in history and blessed with natural beauty. The Roman ruins at Vaison are a must- see. We were amazed to find the largest archaeological site in France just down the road and the medieval town, on the other side of the river, with its winding streets, is charming. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning views and the peace and tranquility of the gardens and pool but outings to the hilltop villages of Seguret and Venasque and a wine tasting in Gigondas or Châteauneuf du Pape are experiences not to be missed!
Je veux juste vous envoyer un petit message pour vous dire quelles belles vacances nous passons dans votre charmante maison. D'après les photos, il avait l'air fabuleux, mais en fait, à l'arrivée, il a vraiment dépassé nos attentes. Nous apprécions vraiment ce bel environnement et aussi le fait rare qu'il était très bien approvisionné avec toutes ces choses dont on a normalement besoin et pour lesquelles on se précipite au supermarché pour les acheter : papier toilette, savon, tablettes pour lave-vaisselle et autres. Je voulais juste vous faire savoir à quel point c'est un endroit charmant et vous dire merci.
Nous avons récemment passé deux semaines dans cette belle maison et avons été submergés par sa beauté et celle de son cadre. La maison est spacieuse et extrêmement bien meublée avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin pour passer des vacances fantastiques et relaxantes. Beaucoup de soin et de réflexion ont été apportés à la décoration et au mobilier, créant une véritable atmosphère chaleureuse. Des fleurs fraîches dans les chambres ajoutées à la chaleur de l'accueil de Frédéric, le gérant de la maison, et Elisabeth et Marian avaient veillé à ce que tout soit impeccable. La ville de Duras est à proximité et nous avons apprécié les marchés du lundi matin ainsi que les excursions à Bordeaux (en train depuis Marmande), Saint-Émilion et le magnifique Château de Fayolle où nous avons eu un déjeuner incroyable, une visite des vignobles et une dégustation de vins. C'est une belle partie de la France où nous avons créé de nombreux souvenirs heureux et espérons revenir un jour. Nos remerciements à l'équipe de la Maison Baleyssagues pour avoir rendu notre visite si spéciale. Il convient de mentionner le chauffeur local Mark Pope qui nous a assuré le transport pendant notre voyage. Il doit être réservé à l'avance, mais il vous conduira là où vous voulez si vous ne souhaitez pas conduire !
Our group rented Domaine du Château for a week, with five couples and seven children. The sprawling property accommodated our group and never once felt crowded. The house has been spectacularly remodeled recently, but maintains the charm of a centuries old villa. Stephen and Lilly are the most wonderful hosts, very welcoming and kind. The hosts lives in a house that is tucked away adjacent to Domaine du Château and are as available or as scarce as you would like them to be. It would be a shame to visit the property and miss out on their wonderful cooking (for a very reasonable fee), Lilly is a particularly accomplished pastry chef. Stephen is a wine instructor with passion for Burgundy and offered a fantastic wine tasting, catered to our tastes. All amenities you could imagine are offered, but with no pressure and all the flexibility you could hope for. I can't recommend this property enough, I certainly hope I am able to visit again and again!

We have absolutely loved our stay here. The house, the pool, the garden, the position and the privacy are all spot on. Lisa and Wayne have been great - helpful and discreet at the same time. Many thanks and look forward to a future visit.
Both (the house and grounds) are absolutely beautiful and fantastic for parents and children alike. Despite a lot of activities in and around the area, we chose to stay 'in' more than we had expected because of how good the house and grounds were. A stunning location which surpassed our expectations. Both this and the hosts made this into a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. THE BEST FAMILY HOLIDAY WE'VE HAD - Thank you for everything! X

Une vieille bâtisse dans un lieu un peu isolé où il règne une tranquillité et un calme voulue. Une maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût ! Une piscine ensoleillée du matin au soir idéale pour se détendre et bronzer avec juste un coin d'ombre où il fait bon se poser et profiter. Des hôtes discrets, agréables et aux petits soins pour ses invités !
First of all, the house was everything we hoped it would be. The facilities inside were excellent and the air conditioning a huge plus especially at night time. The back garden area is superb and met all needs whether you wanted sun, shade, pool, cooking, dining. The area itself has so many varying attractions to meet all needs and ages. Some highlights for us were kayaking in Saint Guilhem de Desert, canyoning in the Gorges d'Heric and this was brilliant. Lazy beach days in Sète and Marseillan, visiting the vineyards at Seignourie de Peyrat (just out the Roujan road) and chill out days by the pool. Pèzenas is a wonderful town and the market on Saturday is a must and favourite restaurants were La Ripalle and Chez Paul. Excellent holiday and the house and its location facilitated this. Thanks.
Beautiful setting and the grounds are marvellous. So relaxing and the pool area is perfect for long sunny afternoons. Kitchen is really well appointed. Bed linen feels fresh and your home is spotless - a big thumbs up! Playroom was a huge hit. You have a wonderful property, but your kindness and generosity of spirit went a long way in making us all feel very welcome.
Nous avons passé un agréable moment dans l'appartement de Corinne. C'est très propre, il y a toutes les commodités utiles au quotidien, elle a pensé à tout. Endroit magnifique et paisible, superbe balcon pour se détendre. Volets et stores pour toutes les fenêtres et portes-fenêtres pour une intimité totale. C'est un endroit très calme et paisible où se détendre et juste à quelques pas des restaurants et directement sur la plage. Immense supermarché juste en face qui vend tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin, y compris d'excellents fruits de mer. Hautement recommandé.
We've had a wonderful holiday. The house has been perfect for our three families and the pool is quite superb.
A challenging end of year led to my very last minute search for somewhere special to stay for Christmas. We jumped for joy when your Loft showed as available for 8 days arriving on Christmas Eve. Throughout the five hour drive from Cannes, I stressed about finding a tree and decorations to make the holiday perfect. To my utter AMAZEMENT, the Loft had been fully decorated beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you so much for all your very thoughtful and generous touches. As a seriously experienced traveller, I can assure you that exceptionally few hosts go to the same lengths as yourselves. You made our Christmas very SPECIAL and, dare I say, UNFORGETTABLE! Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour à la Maison Estephe et avons pensé que le village et ses environs étaient l'un des plus beaux endroits où nous soyons allés en France. Au fil des années, nous sommes allés dans presque tous les départements de France mais jamais à Pézenas. En fait, cela nous a tellement plu que nous envisageons de quitter le Limousin pour la région de Pézenas. La maison était charmante et très confortable en effet.
Une fois de plus, nous avons passé un merveilleux moment ici, dans votre belle maison. C'était tellement agréable de revenir ici. Le temps a été magnifique, la piscine fantastique et nous nous sommes énormément amusés ! Un grand merci à Frédéric pour avoir embelli la piscine ! Nous aimerions tous revenir un jour. Merci!
What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. Merci pour une semaine fantastique dans votre belle maison. Nous avons adoré explorer la Loire et nager dans la piscine était une merveilleuse façon de terminer chaque journée incroyable. Nos enfants ont passé des heures à explorer le jardin et à profiter de l'espace et de la liberté qu'il leur offrait. Merci beaucoup.
Nous avons passé 2 nuits au Château de La Loire et avons été enchantés de chaque aspect de notre séjour. Le logement était joliment aménagé et il y avait plusieurs endroits tout aussi beaux où s'asseoir et profiter du cadre. Le cadre surplombant la Loire était époustouflant et le parc de street art attenant était un régal inattendu. Nous avons adoré la piscine et le spa et avons eu la chance d'en avoir seuls profité à plusieurs reprises. Nous serions ravis d'y retourner un jour.
Le Séchoir Carme was a lovely holiday let and we enjoyed two weeks exploring the region from this beautiful house returning each late afternoon to enjoy the large pool and cool down before dinner. The house is well proportioned and the kitchen/living area is well designed (and equipped) with wonderful access to the outdoor dining area and pool. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday with all we needed for our young family.
Great holiday. Great accommodation, fantastic hosts, wonderful holiday. A very impressive château in huge grounds make this a great venue to relax and unwind. Each room has a unique character and there is a huge kitchen. Highly recommended.
Stayed at this villa in June 2024. It has been finished to an exacting standard, and is open and airy. The views are spectacular. Everything you need for a relaxing stay - plenty of areas outside to either soak up the rays or sit in the shade. The alfresco dining area was used all day. The owners have left their paintings and sculptures in the house which gives is a very unique feel. It's incredible, will return in 2025!
Nous avons passé un moment fabuleux. La maison et la piscine étaient magnifiques. Utilisée comme base pour explorer Narbone et Le Somail. Cédric était fantastique. Rien n'était de trop pour nous aider.
We thoroughly enjoyed your lovely house and garden and the luxury of being so close to the quire for bakery and the odd cup of café noir or beer. We Wish you well and hope that all your guests enjoy the pleasures like we did.
From the garden the mountain and surrounding vine yards are blindingly beautiful, the day beds under the fig tree was my favourite place over looking the pool and could spend all day there. The whole house is fantastic and the interior also, I absolutely loved it, thank you for these two great weeks,
We just wanted to say how impressed we were with the house we rented through Pure France. We have rented a lot of houses both in the UK and overseas and I think this was definitely one of the very best. It was so well equipped - not just in terms of entertainment but all the items in the house (especially in the kitchen) and home comforts and the swimming pool was perfect. We are so glad we found it and we had an excellent week.
Beautifully renovated, well equipped house, ideal for family / friends gathering. Three quite separate sets of 2 double/ twin bedrooms with en-suites and seating areas, so plenty of privacy. Well equipped kitchen (loads of fridge space) and separate bar / fridge/ dishwasher area. Plenty of seating and dining space both inside and out on two terraces. Kids loved the pool and outside space, playing volley ball in the garden. We enjoyed the views and quiet surroundings. My parents enjoyed the local towns and villages; and the cakes! Daily cleaning included by lovely housekeeper/ gardener who live next door. We didn't know they were there except when we needed them. The area is beautiful if you have the energy to travel, Beaune and Dijon are worth a visit and the nearby Couches with a lovely château has a delicious Patisserie / Boulangerie. We took the train from Chagny to Beaune to visit the Hospice and enjoyed a wine tasting. There are lots of vineyards to visit and taste at, we wished we'd organised some tours before we arrived as the owners can advise on this. You will not be disappointed booking this house, we have stayed in many houses in France over the last 30 years and this is undoubtedly the loveliest. We hope to return.
