It’s like staying with friends, with all the positives and none of the negatives! One of the things I think we will remember most about our trip are Karen and Russell. They gave our family the warmest of welcomes and ensured our stay was both comfortable and with a touch of luxury. Having never ventured to this part of France, it was fantastic to have the helpful suggestions for wineries not to be missed, activities for the kids, and the best places to eat. On the other side of the coin, we had our much-needed R&R. The oasis of peace and tranquility of the Loft, the gorgeous terrace for evening aperitifs, and alfresco dining, the extensive and beautiful gardens, and the sparkling azure gem of a pool! Thank you both for making our holiday so special. That cake : WOW! WOW! WOW! Despite all the fab patisserie, the kids still go on about that cake, Karen! Recipe, please!
Si vous aimez le charme de l ancien, vous serez conquis. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la disposition de la maison et des extérieurs. Le fait que la piscine soit dans le jardin bas crée à la fois une sécurité mais aussi que la maison reste très calme quand il y a de l agitation à la piscine! Nous avons fait les plus mémorables parties de ping pong à l ombre des majestueux cyprès et les enfants ont passé des heures à illuminer le château dont la proximité immédiate est magique.
La Maison Lanave est une charmante ferme gasconne bien rénovée, nichée au cœur des vignes et offrant une vue spectaculaire. Les photos et les descriptions sont fidèles à la réalité : c'est un lieu vraiment exceptionnel. Les hôtes sont proactifs et sympathiques, présents sur place sans être intrusifs. Ils sont très disponibles pour répondre à nos demandes et nous fournir de nombreuses informations locales utiles. La région est rurale et offre beaucoup de choses à voir et à faire. Nous recommandons vivement d'y séjourner.
Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse dans ce magnifique château. Nous étions quatre (deux adultes et deux adolescents) et nous n'aurions pas pu rêver mieux. La piscine était très appréciée et le jardin était l'endroit idéal pour se détendre. Michelle a rénové et terminé tout le bâtiment avec le plus grand soin et les photos, aussi impressionnantes soient-elles, ne lui rendent pas vraiment justice. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps !
Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique en famille au Petit Pigeonnier - une vue incroyable sur le calme et le repos des vignes, un vaste terrain, avec un bon équilibre entre ombre et soleil, une piscine fabuleuse, un intérieur immense et frais avec un aménagement très bien pensé (pas seulement l'IKEA habituel) - tous charmants à tous points de vue. Debbie était une hôte parfaite : super discrète, mais là pour des conseils et des dépannages en cas de besoin, et surtout, si attentionnée pour que nous puissions profiter au maximum de notre séjour en profitant des sites, des marchés et des produits locaux (y compris les noix et les confitures de la propriété), qui regorgent localement ici ! Nous savions que nous allions passer de bonnes vacances dès que nous avons vu qu'une bouteille de vin nous attendait, fruit des vignes juste devant notre fenêtre, et nous avions raison.
Merci pour votre hospitalité et de nous avoir permis de séjourner dans cette belle maison. Pendant notre séjour, nous avons beaucoup apprécié L'abbaye de Fontevraud - si belle et merveilleuse à explorer pour nous et nos enfants, Chinon - un tel caractère, même sous la pluie, l'atout doux du vin Coteaux du Layon (c'est magnifique, merci ), Azay le Rideau - un si beau village, de nombreuses boutiques intéressantes, des rues joliment présentées, Mona Pizza à Saumur, malgré le nom les pizzas (four à bois) étaient incroyables ! L'église de Cunault - magnifique 14ème siècle, les jardins du château de Villandry - les jardins étaient magnifiques, Montreuil ville basse - un charmant village, un magnifique château au centre et un grand atelier de poterie, la piscine et le jardin ! Apprécié par nous tous tous les jours. Le gîte était un vrai chez-soi, un vrai plaisir d'y séjourner. Nous espérons y revenir un jour !
Thank you for a wonderful stay! The house and views are gorgeous. We loved visiting Saint-Clar, Condom and off course Lectoure, which has everything you could wish for including the fantastic spa. What a relaxing treat!
I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rusty Shears with friends. The hosts Kirstie and Russell have thought of everything and are on hand if you need anything at all. Beautiful decor, spacious living area and bedrooms. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. The patio and outdoor area is also lovely with great views across surrounding land. The gite is in a lovely peaceful location, but close to historic towns if you like to explore. We also went on a fantastic local wine tasting experience recommended by Russell.
What a wonderful house and great host. We had a super holiday home in Mouans Sartoux. The house was very comfortable, clean and so well equipped. We took advantage of the property owners excellent recommendations for local restaurants, however, the kitchen was so well equipped we could have happily cooked and hosted a dinner party for ten people. Maison de la Siagne was a great location as a base to explore the Côte d'Azur. The train station is only 10 minutes walk from the house and the A8 only 10 minutes by car. We relaxed by the pool during the day, went out to explore and had dinner late afternoon and returned later to enjoy the super night-time view from the terrace over the valley towards Grasse.
Without reservation I can confirm that this was the best rental we have stayed in - every attention to detail and the care and attention to detail by the owners was simply the best!
Un charme fou. Nous y avons passé une semaine début juillet 2020 en famille, et nous avons été sous le charme de ce superbe endroit et de ses alentours. La demeure est très confortable, très spacieuse, avec toutes les facilités souhaitées. Les pièces de vie tout comme les chambres sont très agréables. Les aménagements extérieurs également. Les propriétaires disponibles et très accueillants. Le Borghesia est extrêmement bien situé, près d'une plage de galets en bord de rivière et ainsi que près de nombreuses excursions intéressantes en tout genre. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu où nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances.
You beat me to it! I’d been meaning to email to say what an excellent time we’ve been having and to thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home. It’s such a gorgeous spot, the weather has been perfect and we love the fact that the house feels like a much loved family home so thank you for sharing it with us. It is so well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely ambience - we are greatly enjoying relaxing and eating meals in all the different beautiful spots in the garden. No practical problems and everything seems in order. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
Juste un petit mot pour vous remercier de nous avoir permis de séjourner à la propriété pendant 2 semaines. La maison est très bien équipée avec de nombreuses informations à portée de main. Durant cette semaine nous avons visité Gordes et Châteauneuf-du-Pape. La région est magnifique et nous reviendrons.
We stayed in this amazing house for a couple of weeks - 4 couples, with kids left home! The place is really hard to describe because it is so much more than we expected. Also the photos don't quite do it justice (especially the outdoors pics). It is a huge house, with several levels. All the bedrooms bar one are on one upper floor. The other bedroom (that we stayed in) is accessible on the side of the building and has a lovely little terrace with a small table and chairs. Perfect for taking in the sun or simply relaxing. I did do a bit of work there. On the lower level is the huge kitchen, big dining area with a really cool table that makes entertaining fun and loads of interesting living areas each individual and stylishly decorated. All in all it is a big place where it is easy to spend time with friends and be sociable, or retreat to one of the cosy, quirky but fantastic living spaces for me-time. We weren't quite sure what we would do there for 2 weeks as it seemed a little remote, but it is SO relaxing and welcoming we spent the first week just staying put and enjoying it. The swimming pool is great and I did my lengths every morning. The area just beyond the pool is great in the evening for a drink (or many more). The bedrooms are really special. Big and very well appointed. Comfortable beds and interesting bathrooms (ours had a built-in bath). The owner Fred is super friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed by him and his partner and to our surprise the fridge was filled with local produce and there was also some wine and fresh bread left for us! Great surprise and even better after the long drive down! For shopping we went to the closest town and there were 2 large supermarkets there as well as the usual bakeries/butchers etc. The area is very beautiful. The mountains are stunning and we found some really lovely villages to explore. We had a great dinner one night in Sauve. Really cute village well worth exploring. We ate on a square high up overlooking the river below. I could go on and on. The place has so much charm and is so well appointed, we could have stayed for longer. We have amazing memories and special thanks to Fred for having created this small piece of paradise.
A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. We have had a wonderful week in this beautiful house in this stunning location. The sunflowers fields are just gorgeous and we will forever have fond memories of Gascony and the sunflowers. Thank you for sharing your fantastic home with us. Perfect location and layout of the house, with a great outside bathing area to watch the sunsets with a glass of wine. Laprade not to be missed. If you are prepared to drive a little further Issigeac (Noth East of Eymet) worth a visit with a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Olivia, always on hand to help. Very atmospheric, beautifully quiet, well equipped villa. Great pool and ideal for a large family stay. Nice market found 9 km to the left, at the bottom of the hill. Great local scenery, walks and bike rides and easy driving! Pool is fantastic and clean. Lower floor really cool when it gets hot! We've all had a great relaxing time!
Wow, what a huge privilege to be the first entry into what we know will become a book full of compliments, acclaim and thanks to a very special couple who are creating a very special place. The house and gardens are an amazing reflection of the style and care and attention to detail that Russell and Karen are putting into what we know will become one of Languedoc's gems. Their un-intrusive but 'nothing is too much trouble' nature brings a relaxed and caring environment. The Loft is a lovely haven to relax in and contemplate the beautiful world around you. We look forward to returning and wish you all the very best.

The weather has been great so spent most of our time in the pool and on the sun loungers. We loved visiting the towns and villages nearby and particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries every morning! Thank you for the great holiday we had in this great villa and a holiday we will never forget, and a holiday we loved every minute of. We all will be very, very sad to be leaving! Merci!
Wow! What an amazing house in such a wonderful location! We've just come back from spending a week here and I was so sad to leave. The house is incredibly comfortable and beautifullt decorated. You really couldn't ask for a better location - the street is very peaceful (we didn't hear a thing, despite sitting out in the garden until late in the evening, every night) and yet you are in the centre of town within few minutes walk - we loved strolling into the main part of town for an ice cream in the day or a drink at night. Parking is easy; we didn't use the garage in the end despite having two cars between us. The pool is wonderful, especially when its really hot and the decked area and BBQ just make the garden a really relaxing, usable space to enjoy.

Charming house in the most picturesque hill top village that has been lovingly restored with air con and a pool to help you cool off in the heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and you can find great food either in the village or in Uzes not too far away.
It hardly seems like any time at all since we arrived a fortnight past. Time flies when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have so appreciated your wonderful hospitality once more - not least the delicious bacon sandwiches! And what splendid lunches we had with two new restaurants we must definitely visit next time as we are already booked in with you for the three of us next June. We especially enjoyed exploring your beautiful garden during our stay this time. A l’annee procaine!

We thought this was the perfect setting for our extended family holiday. We had long lazy days by the pool, some nice days out to the bastide towns and alfresco dinners followed by games We rescued several frogs from the pool! There were plenty of distractions in the house for every age and we found the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Fabulous weather for two birthday celebrations and we found it to be a very peaceful and idyllic setting. Amazing house! We all made amazing memories and had a great time.
Wonderful family holiday in this stunning location. Perfect house for a triathlon! Would love to come back when our grandson is old enough to use all the facilities.
