Magical, inviting, soothing, AMAZING! The villa was truly magical, while also invoking a sense of home. The community areas are large enough that you never feel crowded and there are several places to "hide" within the property for true soul searching/peace with a magnificent view at every turn. Very well maintained and quaint restaurants/shops just a short walk away, but not too close(you still feel tucked away). HIGHLY recommend!!

We had a lovely week at Maison Brunet. The rural location was really peaceful and you made us feel really welcome during our stay. The house is furnished with a sense of style but still felt homely and the kitchen area had all we could ask for. WiFi worked well so that kept our teenage daughters very happy. We particularly enjoyed lunches and our evening meals out on the patio. As I mentioned while we were there, the pool and surrounding area are spectacular and made for a memorable holiday for us .
Everything you would need is provided for a perfect stay in this part of southern France. A range of seating areas throughout the garden and the pool were delightful. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable The hosts were charming, friendly and helpful, but very discrete.
We had great week staying at this lovely house! It is in quiet, rural location and we enjoyed exploring the area, which is very pretty. Sam was a great host and showed us everything and then left us to it – but was very helpful responsive with any questions we had. There were 7 of us and the house accommodated us all very easily. It is very well equipped and everything is in good condition and works well - lots of plates, glasses, large fridge freezer with ice maker, wine and beer fridges etc! The beds were comfortable and the house has two good bathrooms/shower rooms including a spa bath! There is a great choice of terraces and outside areas (covered and open) for sitting and dining, with lots of chairs, tables and sun loungers – which far exceeded expectations. The pool, surrounding terrace and gardens are really lovely and it is very quiet and private. The table tennis table was a bonus and we had a fun afternoon kayaking on the Dordogne, too! We would have loved a few more days there!
Heaven on Earth. Our two week stay at Villa Chiavari was an absolute dream; I could not be more enthusiastic in recommending this home to anyone looking to spend their vacation in a veritable paradise. We were 2 couples, 3 children and 1 grandparent and booked an 'off-season' holiday at the end of September. Not long after our arrival we realised a major perk of booking 'off season': uncrowded beaches with absolutely perfect summer weather! Villa Chiavari's spectacular ocean-view infinity pool is surrounded by lounge-chairs and palm trees and bordered by a lush garden... good luck ever tearing yourself away. I should also mention that this lavish pool area is accessible by both the main living quarters of the house and by the bedrooms, which we found extremely convenient for our kids and elderly grandparent. Pool amenities also include a shaded lounge and dining area (also with an ocean view), a barbecue, outdoor refrigerator, pool toys and floats and easy access to a downstairs kitchenette. The grounds at the front of the house include a lush garden, an elevated hammock-hideaway in a quiet shady corner and an outdoor eating area punctuated by a lovely little fountain. The bedrooms are attractively furnished, comfortable and very clean. Five out of six have full attached bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning, as is the main area of the house. The upstairs living/dining/den areas are elegant yet cozy at the same time and the entire back 'wall' of this floor is composed of large sliding glass doors that open onto a beautiful terrace running the length of the entire villa. There is a dining area and lounge on this upper terrace as well! The kitchen has every piece of equipment you can think of and if you're looking for the ultimate in extravagance, the owners will set you up with your own chef. They arranged for us a very personable French cook who prepared truly delicious, fresh meals that even our children were not afraid to eat. Sublime. Speaking of kids, families will find this home very child-safe. There are gates on stairways, the entire property is fenced-in (artfully disguised by beautiful flowers and foliage) and there is a smattering of children's furniture (highchair etc) available for use. We were also really comforted by the fact that the owners of this home are easily reached and are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be booking again and I encourage anyone interested in perfection to do the same!
Magnifique château meublé avec beaucoup de goût, séjour très agréable au bord de la piscine, propriétaires charmants.
Nous avons passé des vacances en famille vraiment fantastiques avec nos 6 adultes et 4 enfants dans cette magnifique maison dans cet endroit superbe. La maison est spacieuse, imaginative, accueillante, bien équipée et a tout le nécessaire pour se reposer loin de tout. Nous avons choisi de manger dehors à chaque repas et avons pu profiter au maximum des différentes perspectives et vues qu'offre la maison. Nous avons adoré les matins plus frais en regardant le bétail et la buse, l'ombre des arbres ou le pool house dans la chaleur de la journée et la brise du soir alors que nous regardions les constellations claires au-dessus de nous. Les propriétaires, Richard et Gaye, mesurent exactement le bon équilibre entre convivialité et attention, si besoin tempérée avec discrétion quant à notre intimité. Nous n'avons pas exploré la région autant que nous l'avions prévu car la maison offre tellement de choses et nous espérons vraiment y planifier d'autres vacances dans un proche avenir.
Nous avons tous adoré notre séjour ici. Nous aurions aimé réserver deux semaines. C'est une maison très traditionnelle, mais vous avez fourni tout le confort moderne nécessaire, sans compromettre l'ambiance du gîte. J'espère y retourner. Nous avons passé des après-midis agréables à la piscine et à admirer le magnifique coucher de soleil depuis l'allée. Nous avons apprécié les spectacles sur la place de Verteillac, devant le bar Le Calice. La belle ville de Brantôme est à visiter absolument.
De chers amis parisiens nous ont accueillis dans votre château. Ils n'auraient pas pu nous offrir une expérience plus mémorable, magique et absolument incroyable !

Writing this sitting at the table and chairs by the well - blue skies and warm sunshine, it has been a perfect week, absolutely loved everything about the house, garden and pool - so hard to leave. To make the stay even more special, I celebrated my 60th birthday with all my family and we had yummy cakes delined by Amanda - huge thank you.
Great stay! We were 10 and loved our week Le Mas de Combet. Swimming pool, bar, large kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms with private bathrooms. Everything was perfect, clean, in line with the photos and the host was great in their communication and advice. Definitely won over for future reunions with friends. Amazing stay for our 10-people holidays. From the house to the host everything was perfect. Thanks a lot.

Juste pour dire que nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour ici. Vous avez la plus belle demeure et dans un endroit merveilleux! Nous n'avons quitté la maison que deux fois, sauf pour acheter de la nourriture. Une fois pour aller au Château Bridoire (une bonne recommandation, merci) et au Château Montbazillac et une seconde fois aujourd'hui pour aller dans un parc aquatique. Merci beaucoup!
Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique à Sarlat et ses environs. Le lieu idéal pour des vacances en famille. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les jardins d'Eyrignac et de Marqueyssac, mais il y avait tellement de choses à faire et à voir ici. Le Bistro De L'Octroi, en face, est fantastique. This flat was wonderful. Location is great, 5 minute drive from Beaulieu, 10 minute walk to train station. Coffee and snacks right at the edge of the property and a few restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet area. Right on the water. This flat had absolutely everything we could want to enjoy our stay. Kitchen is a nice size and has all amenities. The two bedrooms were great. Dining area and living room were spacious and comfortable and the balcony was large and nicely furnished. Washer and dryer were convenient to have. Communication with Ben and the owner was easy. The place also came with beach chairs. The only clarification I’d make is that the bathroom is one toilet, one shower and one sink.
Avons séjourné à plusieurs reprises dans cette superbe maison, tres bien aménagée, la piscine est top et la vue à couper le souffle. Ce petit village vaut le detour.
Un petit coin de paradis ! Tout est parfait : la maison, les extérieurs, la décoration, l'atmosphère.
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances, merci ! C'est une si belle partie de la France. Nous avons réalisé que nous avions séjourné dans une maison juste de l'autre côté de Lauzerte il y a environ 7 ans à l'époque avant d'avoir les enfants et quand nous pouvions conduire une décapotable! La maison a été si bien aménagée et l'agencement a très bien fonctionné pour nous en tant que famille. La vue était fabuleuse! Et nous avons adoré avoir l'auberge au coin de la rue. Nous pourrions bien revenir!
We have had a wonderful and memorable two weeks here. You both have been very helpful and thoughtful. Highlights for us were relaxing by the pool, the great markets at Cahors and Prayssac, the daily petit déjeuner at Chez Lajo and C. using Frans' smoker and BBQ! We are looking forward to returning!

Absolutely beautiful - all of it! I ran in the grounds every morning before it was too hot! Loved the high ceilings and shutters. Beautiful rooms and space for everyone. Loved have the huge living room. Obviously the pool and beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped kitchen and playroom for the kids and adults! Kitchen was brilliant . Loved the range and outdoor dining area next to the pond. Easy to cook for all needs. The owners have been the best hosts (from a distance). Kind and full of knowledge and tips. They have not elevated our holiday. Thank you fo much. I would not hesitate to return!
