Notre séjour a été absolument incroyable. La vue autour de la maison est à couper le souffle et la maison elle-même fut un vrai plaisir. Nous avons profité de nombreuses baignades, barbecues, jeux et soirées cinéma. Merci beaucoup de nous avoir accueillis, nous espérons tous revenir un jour bientôt !!
We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful house. You have made everything so comfortable and easy and it was such a joy to stay there. The location was perfect, such a peaceful spot with stunning views, in a pretty village. It exceeded all of our expectations. The region is so interesting too. We loved it all but especially the salt water swimming pool and the way you have landscaped the whole outside areas. We spent as much time as we could relaxing there. I hope we can return for another holiday soon! Thank you from us all. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. It really was perfect.
Nous sommes retournés à La Charmante Distillerie en juillet 2025 pour trois semaines après un séjour exceptionnel l'année dernière. La deuxième fois, nous avons ressenti un sentiment tout aussi spécial, voire plus. Mark et Gary ont créé ici un lieu inoubliable : un équilibre parfait entre un design élégant et un confort infini, paisible sans être isolé, et attentionné dans tous les domaines. Tout est pensé pour vous aider à ralentir et à déconnecter. Nos filles, 13 et 15 ans, ont immédiatement retrouvé leur rythme préféré : des heures passées dans la piscine, se détendre dans le confort douillet, créer des bijoux en plein air et profiter de la liberté offerte par le cadre. Nous avons fait de même : un café et un livre au soleil matinal, de longs déjeuners et des soirées tranquilles avec un cocktail ou deux, suivis d'une magnifique observation des étoiles tard le soir. L'un des véritables plaisirs de ce retour a été de pouvoir explorer un peu plus les communes environnantes, guidés par les suggestions avisées de Mark et Gary. Des restaurants et distilleries locaux exceptionnels aux marchés nocturnes, en passant par l'artisanat d'Aubeterre, les visites fascinantes des magnifiques églises templières et une journée inoubliable aux Bassins des Lumières à Bordeaux, chaque recommandation correspondait exactement à ce que nous recherchions. L'expérience s'est révélée plus riche et plus intime. Ce qui a rendu ce séjour encore plus précieux, c'est la présence de Mark et Gary comme hôtes. C'est un couple d'une gentillesse, d'une générosité et d'une authenticité exceptionnelles. Il est rare de trouver un endroit qui vous touche de la meilleure des manières, mais La Charmante Distillerie a parfaitement réussi. En y retournant, nous avons eu l'impression de rentrer chez nous et nous sommes repartis ressourcés, reconnaissants et déjà prêts à planifier notre prochaine visite… si Mark et Gary nous acceptent. Difficile de ne pas répéter ce que nous avions dit lors de notre première visite en 2024 : nous aimerions garder ce petit secret… mais ce ne serait pas juste. C'est vraiment la destination idéale avec des hôtes parfaits.
Stunning - amazing space in and out with many places for children and adults to hide! Great, from well equipped kitchen to playroom. Childproofed but still lots of fun toys for dry and wet days. Great showers and all working brilliantly. Had a fantastic week - Very relaxed and love the set up here. Thank you all.
C'est la destination idéale pour des vacances de type en plein air. Les randonnées sont superbes et les paysages sont magnifiques. C'est franchement un peu difficile de partir.
Your house is beautiful. So peaceful and delightfully decorated. We had a fab holiday exploring the area. The pool was glorious and the gardens, too. The morning view and sounds from the open window will never be forgotten.
The house is great for a large group and the surroundings are really beautiful. The fig and almond trees in the gardens were in full fruit too. The pool area would benefit from shade such as the awning in the online picture. The weather was very hot while we were there and the upstairs bedrooms were uncomfortably warm. Take not that the a/c is only in the living area.
We have really enjoyed our stay at Le Manoir des Sines. It really is a stunning property.

Merveilleux. Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique dans une très belle et agréable maison. Tout y est bien pensé dans le moindre detail. Nos hôtes sont charmants. Je les remercie vivement pour tout. Nous avons adoré ces moments suspendus dans le temps. Un petit havre de paix.
Can't believe we have to leave our new home in Najac. The château is magnificent—striking and enormous, yet cozy and welcoming; an easy walk to the lovely village, yet splendidly private and quiet on its own hill. Amazing views, spotlessly clean, superbly equipped and with the best pool we've ever had! The only thing that matches the château and setting is the warm, attentive and super-knowledgeable welcome and help from Henrietta and her team. They helped us to make the most of our stay. Those extra-mile touches made all the difference and we really appreciated them. We loved getting to know this part of France, which seems to combine so many of the wonderful things from the more 'discovered' regions, adding a twist or 2, delivered with a smile.
The house was spacious and very comfortable. The attention to detail made it feel like a five-star experience and well had a most fantastic and restful nights sleep.
We have had a brilliant stay - The villa is fantastic- kids have spent house in the pool and learning to play pool. Everyone has enjoyed it so much it feels a real wrench to leave. Hope we can visit again some time.
We had a wonderful holiday at Mas de Lozanne. Beautiful house, well looked after, close to the fabulous town of Pézenas and some brilliant weather (as well as an amazing unexpected thunderstorm!). Thank you so much.
Just returned from a week in La Maison Tournesol. Omg what a gorgeous place, huge, loads of space, gorgeous interior with every single thing you need. The pool was huge with gorgeous surroundings. The water was a bit cold but it didn't stop us having a splash. The owners are the best hosts I have ever come across, friendly, down to earth and nothing was too much trouble. It was our wedding anniversary and Meryl made us a sponge that I've got to say, was the best we d ever had. Richard gave us a lift to the nearby restaurant and even picked us up. They are the best Poppy their dog was so cute, it was lovely seeing her because we were missing our doggy while we were away. Would we ever come back Yes 100% Thank you so much again Richard and Meryl for letting us stay in your beautiful gîte.

Nous avons réussi à voir nos amis à Brinon-sur-Sauldre, visité Saumur (vu le château et les feux d'artifice pour le 14 juillet) et avons également organisé un dîner sur place. Merci pour votre fabuleuse hospitalité. (Nous avons également arrosé les petits pots près de la porte du jardin, tous les jours, les fleurs à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la maison ont été magnifiques !) Merci bien et au revoir !

Why on earth did we delay visiting this haven for so long?! Collioure is a gem. We have had a truly wonderful time, thank you.
We had a beautiful fou-poster suite with claw footed bath in this attractive country château. We enjoyed a lazy week in glorious sunshine in August dipping in and out of the outdoor heated swimming pool. The château has extensive grounds in which to walk off dinner and is surrounded by peaceful countryside. Bourges was a great place to visit, both cathedral, palace and gardens were a must-see. We were with a large party of friends who took it in turns to cook and we ate outside on the terrace watching the sun go down.
Well kept gardens and lovely house. Would highly recommend to anyone. Extras like the UK adapters were a nice touch. Pool made the children holiday. It was also very clean and perfect size and depth. Great hosts, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely stay.
We have had a wonderful week. The children have spent almost the entire week in the pool and the adults some wonderful meals at Le Petite Coutures, Verteillac evening market and lunch at La Cour de Miracles. Qui aurait cru que vous pourriez nager tous les jours en avril ? Cette fabuleuse piscine était vraiment le point fort. L'appartement est bien équipé et d'une propreté impeccable. Le village se trouve à quelques pas et il y a une excellente épicerie ELeclerc à quelques minutes en voiture. (Vous aurez besoin d'une voiture si vous avez l'intention d'aller quelque part une fois arrivé. Procurez-vous une petite voiture non électrique.) Nous avons déjà réservé notre prochain séjour.
As per other reviews the house was great with stunning views. All the things you need to have a great holiday. The weather was still hot with some days in the mid 30s, so we took advantage of the swimming pool and relaxed around the house. The house is a great location for cycling, there is the obvious challenge of Mount Ventoux and there are some excellent roads in the surrounding area with stunning scenery. For those interested in wine then I would highly recommend Paul from Rhône wine tours. He came to the house and we did wine tasting with him and we learnt about wines of the Rhône valley, while the kids played in the pool. Great if you don't want to take a tour with kids at the winery.
Quel moment mémorable nous avons passé au château avec des amis et ma fille de 5 ans ! Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et extrêmement généreux, et ma fille adore leurs chiens. Le château est une propriété rustique avec de grandes fenêtres donnant directement sur le jardin et la piscine. La propriété est suffisamment vaste pour une promenade quotidienne, avec sa végétation luxuriante, ses canaux et son calme absolu. Le mobilier et les tapisseries ont été soigneusement sélectionnés et magnifiquement conservés. C'est un mariage parfait entre le confort moderne et le luxe rustique. À 5-10 minutes en voiture des marchés locaux et de la boulangerie pour ses délicieux pains. Un zoo Safari incroyable : ma fille et moi avons passé un excellent moment. De superbes restaurants face à la mer sont à proximité et incontournables. Un lieu idéal pour célébrer des retrouvailles en famille, entre amis ou avec vos proches.
What can I say but awesome. We all arrived at the same time to drive up the long drive to the picturesque château. Obviously we had seen pictures but they did not do it justice. We were met with a glass of bubbly and were shown around the property. It was like being shown around a personal home rather than a holiday rental property. There was everything you could want for a relaxing holiday for our two families, including a tennis court, swimming pool, snooker / pool table, croquet set and the all important ice machine as we were in the middle of a heat wave. All the rooms were luxurious with all but one bedroom (which had it's own bathroom) having ensuite bathrooms and the two main bedrooms having dressing rooms as well. The grounds were spectacular and there was even gorgeous little chapel. The best endorsement I can give is that we were all discussing how we could come back next year. Quelle belle et grande maison ! Belle combinaison d'ancien et de moderne. Beaucoup d'espace. Très belle salle de jeux et superbe piscine d'eau salée. Nous avons vraiment passé un très bon moment.
