Great place!! We really enjoyed our week here. Pool, excitement of the stay, the tortoise and the location. We think that the tortoise should be named Trevor. :) We loved Bordeaux. Some great restaurants in Libourne: MA Restaurant and Bistro Maritime. Very enjoyable wine cellar tour and tasting at Château de la Rivière just up the road. Recommend Grotte Pair-non-Pair near Bourg. Thank you from us all !
Nous avons passé une semaine sous une chaleur accablante, et la piscine étincelante était accessible quotidiennement. Thonac est proche de plusieurs autres villes et villages charmants, et le restaurant en plein air de l'hôtel est agréable et propose une cuisine savoureuse. Le gîte est très bien équipé et dispose d'un jardin accueillant. C'était un endroit parfait pour nos vacances.
We stayed with our 2 children aged 5 and 7 and had a wonderful time. There are plenty of things to do nearby and the accomodation was well equiped and great for a family holiday. The pool is wonderful for long hot afternoons and there is lots of outdoor space to explore. The hosts were very helpful and I would recommend this place to my friends.
We have so enjoyed our week here in our very own secret garden. Who would imagine there would be such a magical place waiting for us, just a second from the road? After many moments of uncertainty, it has been a huge tonic to relax in the sunshine in this beautiful garden and enjoy relaxing with our daughters. We haven’t explored very much beyond the Loft, but the countryside is beautiful, the wine and food delicious and the canoeing trip exhilarating and at times a little scary! Karen and Russell are the perfect hosts - always present but never in your space. They have created a perfect holiday home - immaculate and brilliantly equipped, and the fridge and cupboards generously filled to enhance your welcome and stay. We have enjoyed hours by the perfect pool and will fondly remember our 2021 say here. Hopefully we will be back! Thank you, Karen and Russell for everything.

Thank you both so much for a magical 5-night stay. We have absolutely loved staying here and will miss it when we go home! The gîte is amazing, beautiful inside and out. We really appreciate all of your efforts for making our stay so comfortable. Such a lovely touch having fresh bread, eggs and veg from your garden waiting for us - perfect. We loved feeding the chickens and the horse! Thank you also for all the recommendations on what to see and where to go, Russell. We will definitely be back!
Staying here was lovely - the house is stunning and is set in a really peaceful location. The view is really amazing and the house is really nice. We loved it!
Wow what a fab house! We had a brill time chilling in the garden and visiting local toddler friendly places... Would highly recommend the following:- Monkey village, paddling at Villefagnan and Cognac visit. We spotted red squirrels in the garden. The welcome pack is the best and most comprehensive we have every had and was so appreciated. Thank you! We would love to come again some time!

Wonderful two weeks stay. So peaceful at Mas de Pitou and so much nearby that we never had need to travel beyond where we could reach by foot or bike. The house manager Carole couldn't have been more helpful.
An absolutely amazing stay – we will return! We had the most wonderful 6-day stay at Petite Maison de Campagne. Set in a peaceful, tranquil location, we woke up each morning to the sights and sounds of cows from the neighbouring farm grazing in the fields – such a lovely view to enjoy while having coffee and breakfast. The pool and sun loungers were exactly what we needed for the hot French summer, and our son loved relaxing in the hammock under the trees. The property itself has been beautifully restored, with everything you could possibly want or need – including Wi-Fi (essential when travelling with two teens!). Our host was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was clear and friendly from the moment we booked, with all the information we needed to find the property and settle in. She even recommended some brilliant places to visit. I had one query during our stay, which she answered promptly and helpfully. The surrounding area offers so much to see and do – we only managed a fraction of it, so we’ll definitely have to come back to explore more. I highly recommend La Maison Nid to anyone looking for a relaxing yet well-equipped place to stay in this beautiful part of France. We loved it and can’t wait to return.
I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.
Un soleil radieux pour nous toute la semaine. Nous avons passé un agréable moment à explorer. Les enfants se sont fait passer pour Raiponce à la Maison Baleyssagues et ont passé une merveilleuse journée au Lac de Lougratte. J'ai fait du jogging dans les vignes et aux abords, ce qui était étonnamment épuisant. Nous avons peut-être tous mangé trop de croissants ? Merci pour cette semaine formidable dans un cadre magnifique.
We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards. All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
Nous avons trouvé la propriété par hasard il y a quelques années et nous y sommes retournés deux fois depuis et nous y retournerons avec nos enfants de 4 et 6 ans en juillet! Nous en sommes venus à la considérer comme notre deuxième chez-nous en France. La maison est magnifiquement située et l'intérieur autant que l'extérieur permettent des vacances en famille fabuleuses. La piscine sur la terrasse inférieure est suffisamment isolée pour s'éloigner des enfants en toute sécurité et l'alarme de piscine ajoute ce niveau supplémentaire de confort. Les propriétaires continuent de bien entretenir et d'améliorer la propriété. Le nouvel espace barbecue sur la terrasse est utilisé quotidiennement pour les déjeuners et dîners avec vue sur la vallée. La courte promenade jusqu'au village est aisée et évite d'avoir à se soucier des voitures et du parking, bien qu'un verre ou deux de vin de Provence aide à remonter la colline par la suite, ce qui pourrait être un défi pour les moins mobiles. La plupart des voitures de location peuvent emprunter la voie menant à la maison (nous avions une Volvo C90 l'année dernière et elle passait bien), mais si vous avez un véhicule très large, le passage peut être un peu étroit pour manœuvrer au coin au bout du chemin. La maison est parfaite pour profiter d'une merveilleuse escapade à une ou deux familles.

Superbe maison d architecte entièrement rénovée vue incroyable depuis la piscine au calme, bref que du bonheur.
Notre semaine de vacances passée en votre propriété a été un succès. A l'unanimité, la maison est impeccable, très très propre et avec beaucoup d'attentions ( produits d'accueil dans les salles de bain, linge récent et propre, panier de bienvenue, jeux). ... La grange avec la table de ping pong, les fléchettes, le baby foot, le billard et où nous avons pu faire du sport, est formidable. Les grandes ballades autour des vignes avec Tutus m'ont ravie, malgré les averses. Le Super U de Mirambeau a un très beau rayon boucherie. La viande est excellente. Le rayon poissonnerie, avec ses huîtres, crevettes, poissons est également excellent. Tracy se donne beaucoup de mal pour que tout soit impeccable à l'arrivée des vacanciers. Le bouquet de fleurs fraîches sur la table à notre arrivée est encore une attention que tous avons notée.
