What a beautiful property and and great place, great lunches, greats hosts.
Thank you for all of your help. We had a marvelous stay at your property. The home was lovely and the grounds were amazing.
Nous étions six (trois couples) venus des États-Unis et avons séjourné une semaine au Château des Dragons en octobre. Laurence et Marian ont été des hôtes absolument merveilleux. Chaleureux et accueillants, ils se sont assurés que nous ne manquions de rien au château. Ils nous ont organisé une superbe excursion œnologique et ont répondu avec beaucoup de gentillesse à toutes nos questions sur la région. On peut facilement se rendre à pied au village voisin ou faire une randonnée dans les champs et les bois environnants. Nous retournerons sans hésiter au charmant Château des Dragons.
We have had a brilliant stay - The villa is fantastic- kids have spent house in the pool and learning to play pool. Everyone has enjoyed it so much it feels a real wrench to leave. Hope we can visit again some time.
Immaculate! Everything was soptless. We had everything we needed. Thank you for accommodating us. Love the pool! The BBQ was great for evening meals altogether. The Games Room, DVDs, board games and books were a great addition. What a lovely stay. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great, relaxing stay! Thank you!
We have spent two delightful weeks ago Maison Labarde belonging to Jean and Martin. Over 30 years we have stayed in more than a dozen properties in France and if we rated them all this would be at the top. It is in a part of France that we are familiar with and we enjoyed the local markets and the history of the bastide towns. A visit to a recently renovated château was well worth it. It was set in beautiful grounds with impressive pool and gazebo. As well as dining terrace and outdoor kitchen. The gite itself was roomy and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And it was certainly value for money. Jean and Martin were perfect hosts - just the right balance between being available when we needed them and leaving us to our privacy. I cannot end without mentioning Tanner the superb, well behaved, friendly, German Shepherd. We lost our hearts to him as well as this beautiful holiday home. We would happily return another year.

We all had an amazing time here this week, this house is gorgeous with an amazing pool, fantastic views. We had amazing times at Les Chapoux taking in the beautiful buildings and all the nice restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and gave us a lovely tour of the house. We spent countless hours by the pool soaking in the sun. Thank you so much for this lovely stay.
Our weeks stay at Les Marquises was exceptional, this is due to the skilful combination of old and new, colour and light, greenery and shadow combined in a tasteful and harmonious style that characterises the interior of the house and its domain. When you stay in such a place, even for only one week, a place that was restored, recreated and maintained with so much love, you can only love it back, the house, garden, the scenery creates a rare feeling of magic that will stay with us. We felt wonderful and grateful to be guests at the house. Thank you.
Belle maison, piscine fabuleuse et emplacement idéal ! Première fois à Sarlat et beaucoup de choses à voir et à faire. La maison est charmante, à distance de marche du centre de Sarlat. La piscine est incroyable et nécessaire avec une chaleur de 35°C. Je recommande vivement.
J'ai séjourné dans cette maison deux fois, une fois en famille et une fois avec des amis. Les deux séjour furent excellents. La villa est spacieuse avec tout le nécessaire et est très bien entretenue. A la dernière visite, il était visible que'il y avait eu des investissements pour moderniser l'intérieur de la villa. Le point le plus attractif est la piscine, qui est fantastique. Nous avons passé beaucoup de temps à la cuisine d'été et le barbecue autour de la piscine et faire des aller-retours pour se baigner. Très reposant. Le jardin est grand, idéal pour les enfants qui peuvent courir en toute sécurité. Vidauban est un beau village avec magasins, cafés, restaurants autour de la place du village, etc... Et non loin, la Côte d'Azur, des parcs aquatiques, et les pittoresques Gorges du Verdon, avec pléthore d'activités aquatiques, windsurf, pédalos... sans oublier les vignobles locaux et le vin Rosé du coin. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cette villa.
Echoing all previous comments. It was a pleasure to stay here and on behalf of the two English-born cricket enthusiasts, we enjoyed the cricket net, as well as all the other sports. You are obviously a man with fine tastes!
Excellent séjour chez vous, tout est admirablement organisé pour bien vivre rapidement la maison et la région. La piscine est une merveille. Le jardin et la maison sont bien pensés avec la superbe vue, sans vis à vis. La maison est en même temps très proche du village, à 10min à pied, donc le meilleur des deux mondes. Bravo pour les notes, informations, jeux etc. Tout est très pratique et facile à l'emploi.

Maison typique très agréable, chaque chambre dispose d'un espace douche/WC ce qui est un vrai plus, on s'y sent très alaise, pièce de vie lumineuse et conviviale, canapé très confortable, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Le patio et l'espace piscine nécessiteraient un meilleur entretien pour être au top. Le village est joli, on y trouve une boulangerie, pour les autres commodités type supermarché, station essence, 5 mn en voiture à Magalas. Nous recommandons ce logement.

Our week has been wonderful and made all the better due to the exceptional care and attention you both put into this special place. Spent a weekend here in September 2023. The domaine has been very skilfully and tastefully converted into a very luxurious residence with swimming pool! The overwhelming tranquillity, the beautiful gites, the stunning surroundings combined with the care of the perfect hosts ensures that you can completely unwind and enjoy to the max! You will want to come back here again and again!
This beautifully maintained property is less than two hours outside of Paris. We never wanted to leave the grounds, there is everything to keep the kids happy: miles to run, pool, tennis and playhouse. We adults lazed all day by the pool while the children run happy and wild on the enclosed grounds. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations for off the beaten path wine tastings. Make sure she shows you the mill across the stream where they make the best croissants and bread. The layout of the château allows for several families to enjoy a vacation together, while maintaining peaceful, private moments. Best family vacation ever.
Nous avons passé un agréable moment paisible ici. La maison a été magnifiquement et soigneusement conçue. Les montagnes sont magnifiques au petit matin. Excursions fascinantes, bien que chaudes - Châteaux cathares, abbayes et restaurants - une belle région à explorer. Merci beaucoup.
We have just spent 2 very enjoyable weeks at Villa Montplaisir. The villa is equipped to a very high standard and Thierry was informative and helpful throughout our stay. The apricot tree kept us well supplied with fresh fruit each morning... delicious. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk and offers a variety of bars and restaurants to suit most tastes. There is a market 3 times a week which has the usual buzz and good choice of fresh food stalls. We would recommend the villa as a very good base to visit both the coast and hinterland.

Nous attendions beaucoup de ces vacances et nous n'avons pas été déçus. La propriété est un véritable joyau historique dans une région chargée d'histoire. Dès notre arrivée, accueillis par un couple avec qui vous sembliez être amis depuis toujours, le stress du quotidien s'est envolé. Nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme chez nous et avons rapidement planifié notre prochain séjour. De l'extérieur, le gîte est digne d'une carte postale et aucun détail n'a été négligé. L'intérieur conserve son charme historique, tout en offrant toutes les commodités nécessaires pour vous éviter de vivre le style de vie médiéval de nombreux hébergements ruraux en France. Les chambres sont joliment décorées avec goût et disposent de grandes salles de bain et douches (à l'étage et au rez-de-chaussée). La piscine privée est superbe et nous en étions les seuls occupants. Ses eaux claires, sous les pins et sous un ciel bleu, étaient idylliques. Difficile de détacher ma femme du bord de la piscine. Le gîte s'intègre parfaitement dans une région d'une beauté exceptionnelle, où la plupart des sites que nous souhaitions visiter se trouvent à seulement quelques minutes. Les propriétaires étaient très accueillants et nous ont donné de bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter, sans être envahissants, ce qui nous a permis de profiter d'une intimité totale. Nous avons apprécié chaque instant de notre séjour et nous le recommandons chaudement. Si vous souhaitez visiter la région, découvrir les 1 000 châteaux et les innombrables sites préhistoriques, ou simplement vous détendre au bord de la piscine, cet endroit est fait pour vous. Merci pour cette agréable semaine.
