We have enjoyed a wonderful, tranquil week at your beautiful house. Truly a chance to reconnect and recharge. Close encounters with the family of Barn Owls, star-gazing and visits to Aubeterre and Brantôme have made our experience extra special. Thank you.
Nous avons séjourné dans ce château pour célébrer notre mariage. Nous avons eu le sentiment incroyable d’être privilégiés, choyés, grâce à la gentillesse de nos hôtes et leur disponibilité pour nos nos besoins. Nous étions des princes et princesses, voilà notre sentiment. Bien évidemment le cadre exceptionnel, la beauté et la valeur de ce lieu historique ont permis de graver des souvenirs inoubliables !
What an idyllic location to spend a holiday! Easily accessible from Toulouse airport, the house is quite unique in character with its solid walls, oak beams and spacious, airy rooms. There's a large, pleasant garden where we played boules and table tennis daily and also just relaxed beside the pool. It's also great for bird watching. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of towns and small villages within easy reach of the house and the Dordogne was also an easy car-journey away. We spent 2 weeks on holiday but would have happily stayed much longer as there was so much we didn't have time to see and do. We'd love to go back! Thanks for a great holiday.
Thank you so much for the most incredible week, we have made so many memories. Everything about the house has been perfect, such an easy space to relax in. Our girls have loved their week and have become real water babies! We return home to the Alps feeling recharged and look forward to another visit. Heavenly spot! Best wishes from all of us.
We thought that the Loft was lovely. We've had a great two weeks in beautiful accommodation. We've enjoyed exploring the region but have left plenty to do to give us a reason to come back. I know the girls will miss Mack and Mabel - we'll keep you posted if we succumb to their requests to get one of our own! Thank you both for your company and warm hospitality.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans votre belle maison et cet isolement a permis aux enfants et aux jeunes d'être aussi bruyants qu'ils le souhaitaient. Nous avons géré maman avec l'aide de James et Toby. Nous avons apporté la camionnette pour y installer toutes les aides dont maman a besoin pour lui faciliter la vie. Notre maison est complexe avec des marches en pierre, elle est donc habituée à être aidée. Nous avons apprécié la piscine et avons passé la plupart de notre temps dans la piscine. Pouvoir vivre à l'extérieur fait que nous apprécions visiter la France à cette période de l'année. Le temps était sec au moins et lorsque le soleil est sorti, c'était un bonus supplémentaire. Nous avons laissé maman, Pandora, Henry et Emilia pour faire du canoë de Brantôme à Bourdeilles, ce qui était très agréable et amusant. Il y a suffisamment de lieux d'intérêt à moins d'une demi-heure de route pour nous divertir, mais nous avons apprécié revenir au Malardier pour nos baignades de l'après-midi. Merci pour ce cadre charmant pour nos vacances.
Great stay in your wonderful home. Enjoyed exploring the area including Nerac and its chateau museum. Good lunch at Le Vert Gentil next to the river in Nerac. Loved the lily gardens at Temple Sur Lot and managed to get a table for lunch without booking. Beautiful setting and pretty good food too! Night market here (last of the season) was great fun and amazing setting overlooking the lot valley. Janet and Mark you’ve been great hosts and really helpful. Thank you.
We’ve enjoyed two wonderful weeks in and around Villa Lavinière Thanks to the air conditioning we survived the heatwave comfortably. What a great, well-equipped house, garden and pool! Communication with you was very good, supportive and kind. The views from the first floor were beautiful. We had one of the best holiday houses we’ve ever stayed in. We also enjoyed Grand Café Occitan, Les Mûriers (La Livinière), L’Atelier (Caunes), Béziers (brocante market) and Lagrasse.

Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
We returned after 3 years and so glad we did. Another fabulous time - weather not aways in our favour but didn't stop a great holiday again. Two restaurants we would recommend Le Masion Tourbes - great food, lunchtime was very busy, so get there early - very popular with the French. Saint Germain Hotel - excellent food and value. Best value kids menu we have found and adults set menu was great value and for an extra euro you can get 1/4 litre wine! Hope to return again - Love to all.
Un lieu idéal pour passer des vacances en famille ou entre amis. La maison est exposée de telle sorte qu'on a le soleil toute la journée avec d'un côté la vue sur le chateau et de l'autre sur la vallée, La cuisine d'été près de la piscine nous a permis de nous restaurer du matin au soir mais on a pu aussi prendre le petit-déjeuner dans la cour avec le soleil levant et de dîners sur la terrasse aux lumières du soleil couchant. La maison est très grande et bien équipée, les chambres sont spacieuses et tout est décoré avec goût. On a apprécié la proximité du village accessible à pieds très rapidement mais aussi découvrir la région en voiture. Un séjour royal dans un endroit majestueux où l'on s'est pris au jeu de faire une soirée sur le thème "la vie de chateau". A votre tour de jouer les châtelains.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Le gîte était magnifique, parfaitement équipé, et très calme. La piscine était fabuleuse. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables, et les villages et châteaux environnants sont magnifiques et agréables à découvrir.
A été le séjour le plus merveilleux ici! Gastronomie incroyable et vues dignes de cinéma. Sans parler des hôtes exceptionnels ! J'ai hâte de revenir.
Absolutely stunning château, beautiful inside and out with everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious holiday. Lovely quiet setting but close to pretty villages with bustling markets and restaurants. Great for large families or groups as there is plenty of room but also has wonderful communal areas - particularly around the pool, the tennis court, pétanque court and dining in the idyllic front courtyard. Grounds to stroll around, with river and shady trees- a classic slice of French heaven!
This flat was wonderful. Location is great, 5 minute drive from Beaulieu, 10 minute walk to train station. Coffee and snacks right at the edge of the property and a few restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet area. Right on the water. This flat had absolutely everything we could want to enjoy our stay. Kitchen is a nice size and has all amenities. The two bedrooms were great. Dining area and living room were spacious and comfortable and the balcony was large and nicely furnished. Washer and dryer were convenient to have. Communication with Ben and the owner was easy. The place also came with beach chairs. The only clarification I’d make is that the bathroom is one toilet, one shower and one sink.

Thanks Kate and Franz for creating such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Enjoying tea and coffee on our last morning we were joined by 2 deer - a lovely last moment. We are going to miss the house, the swimming pool and the beautiful meadow. Our highlights are Montcuq market, spending time in Lauzerte and Montpazier, two very pretty places. We have had some great food, especially at Le Caillau. It has been a special summer for our children, who have both had to endure exams and so it is fantastic that we as a family have been able to spend time together in this wonderful place. So pleased to have met you both and of course the little Lotte. Love from us all.
Nous utilisons régulièrement Pure France depuis de nombreuses années et nous avons toujours séjourné dans de fabuleuses villas très bien situées. Cependant, nous pensons que la Maison des Communes vient de relever la barre pour nous en termes de qualité de la villa avec ses nombreux bâtiments séparés et son mobilier exotique. La piscine était super et parfaitement alignée pour profiter du soleil du Languedoc et de l'Occitanie toute la journée. Et l'accueil des propriétaires nous a vraiment fait sentir les bienvenus et valorisés en tant que clients. Ils nous ont même aidés à porter nos bagages depuis la voiture ! Nous avons été tellement impressionnés que moins de 24 heures après notre arrivée, nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner. 5 / 5
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans cette belle maison spacieuse. La piscine et l'espace extérieur sont absolument incroyables. De plus, il y a beaucoup de beaux endroits à visiter à distance de conduite. Nous recommandons fortement !

Fabulous house and grounds – loved it. Very high standard, cleanliness, and equipment. Ideal for 3 generations – children loved the playroom. Two catered meals – excellent and much appreciated. Very friendly and hospitable hosts couldn't do enough for us.
