Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Petit Pigeonnier: la maison est très bien entretenue, spacieuse et équipée de tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Grand jardin avec belle piscine et vue imprenable sur les vignes ; très paisible et relaxant. Nous avons fait beaucoup de randonnées à travers les vignes avec beaucoup de balades différentes. La région a pas mal de vieux et beaux villages historiques, beaucoup de restaurants avec de bons vins et une cuisine délicieuse. Les propriétaires étaient adorables, toujours serviables pour vous donner des conseils sur les endroits où aller mais vous permettant également toute la liberté autour de la maison en cas de besoin. Merci pour ce beau séjour relaxant et l'accueil chaleureux.
Best villa in 15 years of visiting France. Pool was wonderful and essential for cooling off when the temperatures exceeded 30 degrees. Super area for cycling and hiking. Best meal was at L'Aspargus (Valros) - well worth the drive. Best meals in Pézenas at Les Marronniers.
Nous y avons passé une semaine avec deux familles (9 personnes âgées de 6 à 70 ans) au Mas Repenti et nous avons passé un moment des plus merveilleux. Il est niché dans de magnifiques vignobles avec vue sur les collines au loin. La maison elle-même a été restaurée avec amour et chaque centimètre est parfaitement présenté. Superbes meubles, décorations et tissus d'ameublement. Elle est charmante et pourtant totalement confortable – la chambre principale vaut la meilleure suite de n’importe quel hôtel ! Les jardins sont magnifiques. Le terrain de pétanque et la balançoire ont été un grand succès auprès des enfants. La piscine est parfaite avec de nombreuses chaises longues pour tout le monde et un superbe pool house pour se mettre à l'ombre et prendre un verre. Nous avons cuisiné presque tous les soirs et la cuisine est extrêmement bien équipée. S'y trouvent toutes les casseroles, poêles et plats de service que vous pourriez demander, ainsi que des assiettes et des verres pour un régiment ! La terrasse était magnifique et l'immense table très accommodante pour nos fêtes. Nous n'avons pas rencontré beaucoup d'intrusions d'insectes, à part quelques moustiques qui ont voulu se frotter à notre Jungle Formula ! Nous avons adoré les vignobles locaux – plusieurs à moins de 5 minutes en voiture. Notre préféré était le rosé du Château Beaumel. Je recommande vivement cette maison pour une expérience extrêmement relaxante et authentiquement française !
Ma femme et moi avons passé nos deux semaines de vacances au Petit Pigeonnier du Lot avec nos quatre adolescents. C'est vrai ce que les autres critiques ont mentionné - les photos ne lui rendent pas justice - le logement est immense et le salon est tout simplement magnifique. L'emplacement est parfait, complètement silencieux et paisible, mais pas trop loin de la boulangerie, des activités et des villes locales. Debbie et Rupert étaient si accueillants, nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis chez nous. Il n'y avait pas de problème trop pu important pour eux, et Debbie nous a aidés à réserver des activités locales et des dîners. C'était la pause dont nous avions besoin depuis si longtemps, merci beaucoup.
Thank you for your hospitality. You have a wonderful home in a tranquil and gorgeous setting. We really enjoyed our days here and loved the cottage, the pool, lake and grounds are perfect. Your recommendations for local restaurants much appreciated.
La villa a été tout ce que nous espérions et bien plus encore. L’hébergement est superbe, tout comme les équipements. Quel plaisir de pouvoir bénéficier des livraisons de petit-déjeuner (à choisir et commander). Le gâteau au citron était délicieux. Nous recommandons vivement le marché du mardi à Clairac. Notre semaine a été TRÈS CHAUDE – nous avons donc bien profité de la magnifique piscine. Nous avons aimé nous promener et faire du vélo jusqu’à Mauvezin. Les commerçants y étaient tous très sympathiques et accueillants. La villa était parfaite pour notre famille de 8 personnes. Nous la recommandons sans hésiter. Merci beaucoup Philippe, hôte et traducteur exceptionnel !
It's hard to put into words how pretty Maison Rohmer and the surroundings are. The interior decor is very luxurious and tasteful and the house and setting is a dream. The Luberon/Haut-Vaucluse region is a lovely place to stay - well within reach of all of Provence's jewels - and provided our family with an excellent base. It the perfect place to both launch ourselves into the countryside to climb Mount Ventoux and visit the vineyards of Beaumes-de-Venise, or simply relax by the pool. During our stay, Aries (the property manager) visited a few times to keep the garden looking perfect and clean the pool and he was also extremely useful in giving ideas for things to do in the local area... like the evening market in Coustellet, which we would have never known otherwise. The owner, was also very patient and helpful in answering all of my queries! A perfect week in Provence.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay here in Rieux-Minervois. From your welcoming and informative e-mails prior to our arrival and a most generous arrival meal (due to it being a Sunday!) we were truly made to feel reassured and wholly welcome - thank you. We enjoyed some lovely days out from the beach in Narbonne to markets in Olonzac and Carcassonne. We particularly enjoyed Minerve for the breathtaking scenery too. Our Son's favourite haunt was le Lac de Larayere. A week's stay has gone all too quickly for us and sadly we make our way home to the rain, no doubt! Once again, many, many thanks to you both for your hospitality here. We eased straight into our holiday due to your kindness with baby equipment.
Nous avons passé de fantastiques vacances en famille, tout le monde a adoré la piscine / le court de tennis, les barbecues et les ballades dans les villages locaux. Nous sommes venus l'année dernière et nous réserverons certainement à nouveau.
Where to start, we have had such a wonderful week we have loved everything about this house and grounds. It is the best house we have ever hired as a group and Mike and Natalie have gone out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Just to mention a few of the many things we loved about the house, the fantastic swimming pool, the incredible views, the activities provided, the comfortable beds, the beautiful seating areas in and out of the house, the breakfast area, the bathrooms... and of course Myrtle the cat who joined us every morning for breakfast. Best of all it was a fantastic place for Grace and Ken to get engaged to be married! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hire this beautiful home. (This was truly a magical place to get engaged, Grace x)
Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
Nous avons passé une semaine fabuleuse dans ce petit bijou de villa. C'est tellement douillet et paisible ici. C'est agréable d'y revenir en fin de journée. Un lieu parfait pour un 80ème anniversaire!
Voilà un beau lieu à découvrir. Une irrésistible demeure en parfaite communion avec le paysage et l’environnement des lieux. Calme, charme du lieu, paysage et accueil de Sandie sont et font que le séjour devient magique. Je recommande sans hésiter.
Une belle maison agréable et très bien équipée. Jardin et piscine bien entretenus. Nous n'oublierons pas non plus cette belle colline et cette merveilleuse région. Pour ne pas parler du mémorable match de ping-pong et du babyfoot!

Une très belle maison et propriété. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et serviables et sont britanniques donc ils parlent à la fois français et anglais, ce qui est un plus. Puisque la maison d'hôtes est située sur le côté de la maison principale, vous aurez également de l'intimité quand vous le souhaitez. La maison d'hôtes est merveilleusement décorée dans un style typiquement français/britannique. Une grande cuisine, une grande chambre avec lit très confortable et une salle de bains moderne avec baignoire et douche. Vous avez votre propre terrasse où vous pourrez commencer la journée avec le petit déjeuner et une vue imprenable sur le jardin et les chevaux :) L'hôte nous a donné des conseils et nous a également fait venir dans la forêt où nous avons eu un plafond de nuit. Ils nous ont aidés à trouver un concert et nous ont également prêté leur barbecue et nous ont laissé utiliser le lave-linge. Nous recommandons vivement et serions ravis de revenir. Merci
We enjoyed our stay in your stunning villa and would like to thank you for your warm welcome.
Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.
Fabulous house on the edge of the village with magical views and absolute peace and privacy. We were thrilled to see so much wildlife, so many wonderful birds, butterflies, red squirrel and deer around the house. We flew into Limoges which is a tiny and very easy airport to manage. Car hire is just outside the exit, the roads are blissfully empty and the drive to Lusignac was a pleasure. We couldn't have had a better week.
Beautiful château with all amenities. Ann was extremely helpful with organising taxis, wine tours and any concerns. Very efficient in organising a new barbecue. Thank you for helping us have a fantastic holiday.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home, it was the perfect place to spend our 30th anniversary! The views are amazing, village charming and the pool well used. Thank you also for the cold meats, cheeses and wine on our arrival, a really welcoming touch. We would definitely recommend a day kayaking to Pont du Gard, a really good way to spend the day, hats, suncream and picnic a must. Again, a very big thank you, we would love to return one day.
Your house has been such a beautiful place to spend a week of our holiday. We've loved every minute - so much so that we didn't go far from Le Chambarru. The attention to detail was fantastic - from the decor to the 'welcome basket' to our name on the gate. The only thing missing was that we only stayed for 7 nights. Thank you so much - we hope very much to return soon.
So calm and relaxed! We arrived on Saturday at your beautiful, beautiful house and we enjoy it so much. Thank you very much for the lovely card and the excellent bottle of wine. We did enjoy it yesterday in the evening by the pool. It is so calm here and the pool and everything else is so amazing. We never had such a relaxed holiday for years.
Gorgeous villa with a breathtaking views! The villa was modern with quality features. The kitchen with an outsized breakfast bar opens up to a comfortable living room that overlooks a spectacular 180° view, which we enjoyed from sunrise to sunset. You can walk to town within 5 minutes, although there is a steep portion of the road, which has a large selection of gourmet restaurants and light shopping. We highly recommend this villa.
We love the design and build of the house and have enjoyed our stay here with our family enormously. The pool has provided a great deal of fun for all and there is so much opportunity for relaxation and enjoying all the local produce!
A very belated note to say thanks very much for your help in making our stay in Les Rocans go smoothly. We had a great time and loved how relaxed it was. We were considering rebooking for next year however Mum has just announced she will be taking a larger place to celebrate her 70th in next summer, so the good news is she will pick up the bill (!) but the bad news is we can't stay with you again next year. We will however certainly bear Les Rocans in mind for the future as we had a thoroughly relaxing time.
