One of the best houses we've stayed in. Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... We couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered by Mark and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!

Le Petit Palais provides the perfect place for families and groups. We consist of six parents and six kids of ages 1-5 years old. The bedrooms provided the perfect split and were also very comfortable with a bunk bed which was every kids choice. Downstairs has plenty of space for all to enjoy and breakout to do their own thing or sit together for a meal. The provision of toys and games for all ages was great to keep our kids entertained plus the table football, climbing frame and trampoline all helped to keep the kids busy. The pool area is sizeable and secure with comfy loungers and shaded area with table. Around the house there’s different spots to enjoy lunch or have an evening drink. The kitchen is fully setup and provides all you’d need to prepare meals for large groups, this is so often not the case when you stay at a holiday rental. All in all our weeks stay was perfect and the house and provisions did everything we needed and wanted. The house is easy to find and well located for day trips. Isabelle and Caroline are quick communicators and offer really helpful advice at all times. Thanks again for letting us stay and hopefully we’ll be back again soon.

Nous venons de passer une semaine vraiment merveilleuse dans votre belle maison. Il y avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre groupe mixte - âgés de 14 mois à 82 ans ! Tout en profiatant d'un magnifique soleil ! Avec beaucoup, beaucoup de remerciements.
We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!

Château du Mas is magnificent. The rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings so always feels cool. The is so much to explore in the grounds and great tuning trails. Great BBQ for outdoor al fresco dining. Huge table under a pergola for long leisurely lunches or dinners. The swimming pool is lovely and a great size for lengths with lots of loungers. Sharp, sharp knives. First time ever in a rental! Huge range cooker which is immaculate. Blenders, graters and simple to use bottle opener! The owners were fabulous! Our children are 9 and 12 and they loved playing the Wii in the playroom. Wish I had found the château when they were a baby and a toddler as tons of toys to occupy them with.10/10. 5 star throughout. Recommended.

We had a lovely holiday here ! The place was beautifully quiet and well-equipped. Pau is definitely worth a visit with wonderful restaurants. We had a great stay and are heading home fully recharged.
Nous avons passé un séjour formidable en famille dans ce magnifique château. Niché entre de charmants petits villages, un véritable havre de paix. C'est un endroit où tout est beau et bien entretenu. La piscine est un véritable bijou, un endroit idéal pour se détendre et s'imprégner du paysage magnifique. Nous avons adoré l'ambiance décontractée, tout en conservant un confort et un charme irréprochables.

a wonderful treat to spend summer half term in the incomparable Le Grand Mas de Valcros. A house that really has every luxury and comfort with the most insane views. Endless pool-time, boules tournaments, visits to bastide towns and a trip to the sea - all missions that were completed with happy smiles. A million thanks for letting us share your home.

A perfect gite to spend a relaxed holiday. We loved each area of the Gite and felt very spoilt to have such a large area to ourselves. The attention to detail inside the gite gives a real homely feeling. The pool provided a lot of entertainment, and again very well presented. Debbie, the host, couldn't do enough for us and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. I can't recommend it/her highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Notre séjour avec des amis à Duras en août 23 était exceptionnel grâce à cette grande maison faite pour des moments de partage. En effet la maison est très spacieuse avec des espaces suffisamment séparés pour que chacun ait des activités différentes. Plusieurs terrasses exposées différemment permettent de profiter de l’extérieur à divers moments de la journée. Nos enfants ont profité autant que nous de la piscine dont le système de sécurité est très rassurant. La maison reste fraîche malgré la chaleur, et sa cuisine bien équipée a permis de vrais moments conviviaux à préparer les repas. Enfin la maison est idéalement située, dans le bourg très sympathique et au pied du magnifique château. Une parenthèse enchantée à partager avec la famille et les amis.

The house is beyond what we had imagined with the photos. It is spacious, very spacious, more than ideal for the group of 7 with 2 children that we were. The renovation is perfect, of exemplary cleanliness and with a very good taste decoration. The pool and its terrace are just beautiful and offered us very pleasant afternoons and evenings. The little plus, is that you can easily close the doors going to the pool for the safety of the little ones and the tranquility of parents. A dining area on another terrace with barbecue and large table also seduced us. The location of the house is also perfect, along the canal with the small typical village with many very nice restaurants. We really enjoyed the Escale and the glacier adjoining the restaurant... In short, a great place that we recommend 200%, not to mention the kind and availability of the owners.
Vous avez transformé ce bâtiment en une maison des plus merveilleuses et, plus encore, en une maison accueillante et confortable, nous nous sentons privilégiés d'y avoir séjourné. Il ne nous manquait rien (sauf peut-être un peu plus de soleil et un peu moins de vent). Tous ceux qui nous y ont rejoint ont exprimé leur même appréciation. Merci beaucoup. Nous étions six (trois couples) venus des États-Unis et avons séjourné une semaine au Château des Dragons en octobre. Laurence et Marian ont été des hôtes absolument merveilleux. Chaleureux et accueillants, ils se sont assurés que nous ne manquions de rien au château. Ils nous ont organisé une superbe excursion œnologique et ont répondu avec beaucoup de gentillesse à toutes nos questions sur la région. On peut facilement se rendre à pied au village voisin ou faire une randonnée dans les champs et les bois environnants. Nous retournerons sans hésiter au charmant Château des Dragons.

Cette belle villa au milieu des vignes possédait tout le confort imaginable. La piscine chauffée était un rêve. Nous tenons également à mentionner la propreté exceptionnelle. Les hôtes font tout pour que vous vous sentiez à l'aise et que vous puissiez passer d'agréables vacances.
Une semaine merveilleuse à la Maison Baleyssagues. La maison est extrêmement bien aménagée et équipée. Nous avons apprécié cuisiner et avons essayé tous les espaces repas à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur. Certains membres de notre groupe ont même nagé dans la piscine, même si la saison était terminée. Nous avons également apprécié les promenades dans la campagne environnante et trois superbes excursions d'une journée. Nous recommandons vivement La Table de Catusseau - imaginative et exquise.
