A magical week in a lovely house. Very spacious and well equipped.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au calme dans votre maison ! Nous sommes allés un jour à Carcassonne en voiture et avons visité cette belle région. La piscine est super, elle va nous manquer !
Unique en son genre: Le Mas Pouget a conservé son histoire (pierres, agencement) et propose un aménagement moderne et une décoration originale, recherchée, tout en étant douce et apaisante... Nous avons séjourné avec 4 couples d'amis, et avons bénéficié chacun de beaucoup d'intimité et d'espace. Les chambres sont très grandes, lumineuses, la literie est de très bonne qualité. L'accueil est parfait, nous avons été séduits par les attentions du propriétaire (du jamais vu malgré nos nombreux séjours locatifs)! Enfin, la région est magnifique et offre plein d'activités. Si l'on devait chercher un point négatif?... On n'a pas trouvé. Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr.

Merci pour ce super séjour. La piscine était chaude, mais le rosé bien frais. Bélaye est la plus belle ville du monde, visiter Montcuq fut resplendissant. Nous partirons d'ici reposés et ressourcés. 5/5

We have enjoyed a tremendous week. The weather was fantastic and we made the most of the outdoor living. A few highlights for us: A fantastic meal at L’Effet Maison in Monflanquin. Great service and they were superb with the boys. Château Bonaguil (never found) was a big hit with the boys. It is a large castle and they loved running around and pretending to be knights. Much (much!) further afield, but we enjoyed Angoulême on the drive down from Calais – lots of amazing murals and graffiti. We hope to return to this great house!
Excellent. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Tout est fait pour passer d’agréable vacances, de l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires, aux prestations de la villa parfaitement équipée et agencée. Des vacances en famille mémorables, dont nous nous souviendront toujours.
Je vais préfacer cet avis en précisant que notre grande famille a loué un certain nombre de châteaux au fil des ans, nous avons donc de quoi comparer ! Sans aucun doute, ce château offrait le meilleur rapport qualité-prix que nous ayons jamais trouvé. Notre groupe de 18 personnes a utilisé les 10 chambres proposées, sans que personne n'ait à faire de compromis sur l'espace de la chambre. La cuisine était assez grande pour accueillir toute le groupe avec suffisamment de plan de travail et un grand îlot. Pour une fois, nous avons trouvé beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine et de casseroles de taille professionnelle, etc. Il y a trois réfrigérateurs, nous avons utilisé le grand réfrigérateur pour la nourriture et les deux réfrigérateurs sous le comptoir pour les boissons «adultes» et enfants. Le salon-salle à manger est immense et confortable, avec des jeux de bonne qualité disponibles, notamment des échecs et du backgammon. La piscine est parmi les plus grandes que nous ayons jamais utilisées avec un bassin profond dans lequel vous pouvez réellement plonger. À certains moments, nous avions une douzaine de personnes dans la piscine et nous avions encore de la place pour nager. Il y a deux terrasses principales, toutes deux pouvant facilement accueillir au moins 20 personnes. De plus petits espaces salons sont disséminés sur le terrain, donc si vous y êtes enclin, vous pouvez vous retirer pour un peu de paix et de tranquillité. Il y a un barbecue de très bonne qualité sur la terrasse arrière avec un plateau à charbon mobile, ce qui signifie que vous pouvez augmenter la source de chaleur lorsque le charbon brûle. Nous avons pu faire un barbecue pendant 18 heures sur un demi-sac de morceaux de bois. Notre groupe avait 5 voitures, l'allée était assez grande pour qu'elles puissent être garées afin que tout le monde puisse sortir du château sans avoir besoin de déplacer un autre véhicule. Gardant le meilleur pour la fin, la salle de sport/salle de jeux est magnifique. Avec un terrain de badminton pleine grandeur, un panier de basket-ball, 2 tables de tennis de table, un baby-foot, un jeu de fléchettes et une table de billard pleine grandeur, tout notre groupe avait de nombreuses activités parmi lesquelles choisir. Cette installation était constamment utilisée pour les éliminatoires d'une semaine, y compris notre propre événement de type décathlon. La pudeur m'empêche de révéler qui était le meilleur joueur de billard. De notre point de vue, cette vaste gamme d'installations et d'activités a fourni les ingrédients parfaits à nos premières vacances où nous n'avions pas à divertir les enfants. Enfin un endroit où ils peuvent vraiment s'amuser. Enfin, Richard et Nicky étaient des hôtes parfaits, nous n'aurions pas pu être mieux reçus.
Quelle semaine incroyable dans une maison merveilleuse ! Nous avons apprécié une excursion à Jonzac et à St Georges de Didonne, mais nous avons surtout passé du temps dans la maison avec tout ce qu'elle a à offrir. Salle de jeux pour les parties de ping-pong en famille, la température de la piscine était fabuleuse et la maison elle-même très spacieuse et confortable. Merci pour le panier de bienvenue, la très bonne communication avant notre séjour et pour nous avoir permis de profiter de ce havre de paix !
We've had a lovely week here at the villa. It's been especially good for our youngest family member who has really enjoyed playing here. We loved the heated pool, especially when the clouds come over the fun can continue. Absolutely recommend a trip to see Carcassonne for those wanting a day trip, but remember to check what is open. An absolutely amazing stay – we will return! We had the most wonderful 6-day stay at Petite Maison de Campagne. Set in a peaceful, tranquil location, we woke up each morning to the sights and sounds of cows from the neighbouring farm grazing in the fields – such a lovely view to enjoy while having coffee and breakfast. The pool and sun loungers were exactly what we needed for the hot French summer, and our son loved relaxing in the hammock under the trees. The property itself has been beautifully restored, with everything you could possibly want or need – including Wi-Fi (essential when travelling with two teens!). Our host was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was clear and friendly from the moment we booked, with all the information we needed to find the property and settle in. She even recommended some brilliant places to visit. I had one query during our stay, which she answered promptly and helpfully. The surrounding area offers so much to see and do – we only managed a fraction of it, so we’ll definitely have to come back to explore more. I highly recommend La Maison Nid to anyone looking for a relaxing yet well-equipped place to stay in this beautiful part of France. We loved it and can’t wait to return.
Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!
I just wanted to drop you a line to say how very much we enjoyed our week in your lovely home - it truly is superb! In fact, we all had such a good week, I am about to email in order to book for next year. I notice on the website that next year's dates are already there so we thought we'd better book quickly (and before you decide that it is far too beautiful to leave!)
Fantastic time in this great house and location. 2 weeks of rest, relaxation and fun with the kids and extended family. Thank you. What a wonderful place! So much for the kids to do - swimngs, slide, trampoline, swimming and may runing races, lots of yumy wines and cheese. Two scrumptious meals cooked by Tim and Ali. Very tempted to return next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We have enjoyed every second. There is such a relaxed and calm atmosphere at Maison Four à Chaux! Perfect, We've been spoilt. We've enjoyed dining in all the areas around the house, especially the pool house! We would recommend a visit to Rochefort and Cognac. The park in Saint-Savinien is great for little ones. Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances ici dans la magnifique ville de Sarlat. La maison est parfaite avec de beaux meubles, une cuisine bien équipée et des douches incroyables. La piscine était exactement ce dont nous avions besoin après de longues journées passées à explorer les merveilleux sites de la Dordogne (le Gouffre de Padirac étant une visite majeure). L'emplacement de la maison est parfait, à distance de marche de la ville mais très paisible, entouré d'un beau jardin arboré. Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine. Merci Jackie et Geoff pour ces merveilleuses vacances.
Lovely private pool and terrace with comfortable accommodation in a picturesque village. Hosts were discrete but friendly and very helpful. The restaurant a short stroll away is definitely worth a visit. Nice walks on the doorstep.
Wonderful family holiday We had a wonderful week staying at Manoir de Saux, spent mostly by or in the beautiful pool or on the tennis court! Occasionally we would tear ourselves away from this idyll to wander through pretty fortified towns, to have a delicious local lunch and to taste wine. We all particularly liked Cahors. The house itself was very comfortable, had everything we needed and the kids couldn't have been happier. Highly recommended!
Best family holiday ever. Amazing space of the house led to us having the best family holiday ever for 9 adults and 3 young children. The outdoor areas are equally fantastic, the pool, Japanese garden with pizza oven was greatly appreciated and we would love to come back and see our host Katie again.

We all had a wonderful holiday and the accommodation suited us so well, we were very lucky with the weather and the pool was perfect, such a great place to relax. We enjoyed eating outside looking at the wonderful views to the Mediterranean.
