We have spent the most wonderful week in the South of France enjoying the local wines and produce. Thank you so much for your many recommendations and of course for providing the Loft. Everything has been thought through to give maximum comfort and relaxation. The only regret is that the holiday didn't last for two weeks!
Quel merveilleux séjour ! Mark et Gary ont créé le parfait havre de paix… le souci du détail, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur, est incroyable. La décoration et les œuvres d'art du gîte sont magnifiques, et l'espace piscine, entouré de nature et accompagné de chants d'oiseaux, est si reposant et paisible. Dès votre arrivée, vous vous sentirez choyés grâce au luxueux panier de bienvenue, au cocktail d'accueil et aux savons et crèmes hydratantes artisanaux locaux disponibles au gîte. We just wanted to thank you for the bottle of local wine and to let you know that we had a very nice time at Villa Corbières last week. Also, it worked well liasing with Ian who was welcoming and very helpful. The house is great and the garden looked really nice.
We had a super holiday at the villa. The villa was everything we expected and our contact was polite and helpful. Every thing was perfect.
Beautiful and charming villa surrounded by greenery with pool and view. A really great villa in a nice area. The view with Cannes in the distance is very nice. The villa has five bedrooms, each with its own modern bathroom and toilet. Great is also the terrace with a large table and chairs and a gas barbecue. The accommodation is on two floors and therefore also has two living rooms, each with a fireplace. The garden and the heated pool complete the whole very nicely. The kitchen with two fridges, stove, microwave and dishwasher has nothing to miss. Everything was available on crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cups and glasses in sufficient quantity. A carport, too. A very big plus is the hostess and her caretaker. Both are very friendly and helpful. Communication has also worked wonderfully. I would also like to thank you here for the absolute kindness to bring a delicious birthday cake to my mother. Very thoughtful.
Une excellente semaine en famille avec des petits (2, 5, 9 ans) et des grands qui ont bien profité de la piscine, des jeux, ping pong, volley... du barbecue et des nombreuses possibilités qu’offre la maison pour déjeuner, dîner, se reposer. Les villages autour organisent des marches en soirée où l’on peut rencontrer des producteurs et goûter aux spécialités locales (foie gras, magrets, vins...) De nombreux châteaux à visiter, et ballade en canoë sur la Dordogne. Un bon séjour dans une belle région.
Grande maison en particulier la piscine, le jardin et les couchers de soleil incroyables. Quartier calme, pour ceux qui recherchent vraiment un endroit pour se déconnecter. Nous avons adoré !
Mon mari et moi avons passé notre lune de miel au Château des Dragons début septembre. Quel endroit magique ! Le château est absolument magnifique – on y trouve tout le confort nécessaire et la piscine chauffée était tout simplement merveilleuse. Les propriétaires étaient très serviables et sympathiques, nous conseillant sur les endroits à visiter et les moyens de transport. Sur leurs recommandations, nous sommes allés voir un superbe marché dans le village voisin et avons emprunté deux vélos pour explorer la campagne environnante. Un grand supermarché se trouve à environ 20 minutes à pied et le château est facilement accessible depuis Poitiers. Nous espérons y revenir un jour.
Great house, wonderful weather, lovely city. We loved the pool, the bike ride along the Canal du Midi, we enjoyed having space in a rented house. The decoration of the house is very well done and we feel very relaxed now.
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.
Le château et le parc sont magnifiques et bien entretenus. Les prestations sont excellentes. Des vacances fantastiques.

Nous venons de profiter d'un séjour de deux semaines très relaxant et agréable au Mas Saint-Martial. La maison était très confortable avec une cuisine bien équipée. Le jardin est grand avec beaucoup d'ombre très agréable quand il fait chaud. La piscine est l'une des plus belles que nous ayons eu dans tous les gîtes où nous avons séjourné en France. Assez longue pour nager et faire de l'exercice et confortablement chaude. Les propriétaires vivent dans le bâtiment adjacent et étaient très accueillants et capables de conseiller sur les achats locaux, les restaurants, mais pas du tout intrusifs. C'est un coin tranquille de la France rurale, mais il y avait beaucoup à voir et à visiter localement, avec un accès facile à la boulangerie et aux magasins, et de bons restaurants à proximité. L'un des meilleurs rapports qualité-prix était le déjeuner dans le restaurant local de Saint Martial.
Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour dans une villa vraiment magnifique. Nous avons passé un moment vraiment fabuleux et nous espérons vraiment revenir. Le temps a été splendide et la piscine était absolument magnifique. Elle a répondu aux attentes de tout le monde, en fait, elle les a dépassées.
And so ends another fabulous two weeks at the Loft du Vigneron. Everything we said in September 2017 remains absolutely appropriate. Karen and Russell, you do such a magnificent job in presenting The Loft - you really are in a league of your own. Please know how much everything you do is so appreciated - it all makes to provide such a fantastic holiday base. How we would love to stay on for another two weeks now - but this will have to wait until next year! We've loved spending time with you again - the boules tournament is firmly in the memory bank! Really sorry about the tea, Russell! Case for the defence: salt does look like sugar when you've had a drink or two! Good luck with the Chambres d'Hotes - it's looking fabulous.
A very beautiful and cosy apartment, so nice! We had a really nice week in Magalas and Le Paradis Secret! We really enjoyed our stay.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. We highly recommend Maison Four à Chaux, we had a great holiday in this amazing property which was clean, very comfortable and very spacious inside and out. Lovely large heated pool and an excellent games barn which included skittles alley and table tennis. We were greeted by Yvonne who was great and very knowledgeable of the local area and was easily contactable (as were the owners) if there was any issues (which there weren't). We would definitely recommend Maison Four à Chaux.
We stayed in Maison Rohmer for 11 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed the house and peaceful setting at the end of a private track. Everything was very clean and well furnished with excellent bathrooms and plenty of hot water. We swam in the pool every day bar one, when there was a big thunderstorm that drenched the area and had a strange effect of gradually turning the colour of the water in the pool to green, but was perfectly ok to swim in. The owner was on hand to answer any queries we had despite being in the USA at the time of our stay, something that we both appreciated greatly. Gordes and the area around was lovely with so many beautiful towns and villages to explore on foot or bike or car, a great area of France to return to again.
It was amazing. The house was beautiful and the pool was really nice. All of my family loved it and we all want to come back next summer.
Le propriétaire nous a chaleureusement accueillis. Sa maison avec cuisine ouverte est très agréable. La piscine est très grande et on peut vraiment nager. Pour les familles, la maison est pratique, il y a des jouets pour la piscine et des ballons. Nous avons passé une semaine agréable dans la propriété.
Nous sommes une famille de 5 avec 3 ados. Dès le premier jour, nous nous sommes installés et avons eu beaucoup de mal à repartir au bout de deux semaines. Les propriétaires ont non seulement créé une maison merveilleusement rustique, mais elle a été très bien pensée, avec beaucoup d'espace tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur pour une famille de 5 personnes. S'y ajoute l'un des meilleurs cadres que vous puissiez imaginer - des collines doucement vallonnées en retrait d'une route de campagne tranquille. Étant une famille sportive, nous avons utilisé la belle piscine tous les jours. La plupart des piscines privées en France font moins de 10 mètres, nous avons donc vraiment apprécié les 13 mètres complets pour nager quelques longueurs. Pour notre plus grand plaisir, il y avait un terrain de badminton extérieur et un terrain de pétanque. La grande pelouse plane au sommet de la propriété était l'endroit idéal pour taper des balles. Les environs sont un délice à découvrir. Des grottes calcaires aux églises souterraines creusées à flanc de colline, aux charmantes villes de marché, aux «plages» fluviales pour se rafraîchir, la région ne semble jamais surpeuplée. Tout cela, associé à la nourriture et aux boissons exquises de la région (à des prix exceptionnels), en fait une région à absolument découvrir pour le touriste averti. Nous ne saurions trop recommander de séjourner ici. Les propriétaires, qui habitent à côté, sont des hôtes parfaits. Ils n'ont jamais empiété une seule fois sur notre intimité, mais étaient plus qu'heureux de discuter et de fournir des conseils, lorsque sollicités. Nous avons hâte de revenir!
It is difficult to put into words how special our stay has been. Everything about the Loft is first class and we are going to miss it dearly. On top of that, all your little touches have been incredibly helpful and generous. Above all though, you have been the most warm, considerate and welcoming hosts - you really could not have done anything else to help us. Having travelled extensively we definitely rate you as the best! Of course, we have loved exploring the area, including a wonderful trip to the Pyrenees, and we are very keen to get to know it better. Finally, the last word goes to Mack and Mabel - they are adorable and we have enjoyed sneaking down for cuddles. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday.
Thank you so much for a wonderfully relaxing stay at your ‘Loft’. We have stayed here many times before under previous ownership, but we must say that you have moved it up several notches! The attention to detail is second to none; from the luxurious ‘The White Company’ products to all the goodies in the fridge and cupboards - very much appreciated. The terrace, garden and pool are just so peaceful that we haven’t ventured far! Most of all thank you for being there and for your wonderful company. We hope there will be many more visits to come. Mia, 7 years old We have had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. I loved playing in the swimming pool with my nanny, grandad, sister and my 2 cousins. The market in Duras is definitely worth a visit with lots of lovely things to see and buy. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we have.
The combination of lovely accommodation, beautiful surroundings and the swimming pool made Piglet Barn a wonderful place to stay. In addition to being an interesting and picturesque village, Vouvant is a great location for the start of circular bike rides and walks. We especially enjoyed the riiverside walk, the Sentier des Rives. The Saturday market in Fontenay provides an enjoyable shopping experience. Many thanks for a great holiday.
