We could not have made a better decision than to come to Villa La Baronne to spend the end of the year. The house is magnificent, the location unbeatable both for the surroundings (the river, the forest, the small towns...) and the proximity to Toulouse. The house has the services you expect and much more. An excellent experience that I hope we can repeat again. Thanks to Isabelle and Philippe for offering Villa La Baronne guests a five-star stay. Thank you very much and we hope to return!
Fantastic house in a lovely town. The property is extensive, nicely modernised and very well maintained. We visited with three children and they had plenty of room. The pool is AMAZING and they jumped in and out of that very happily. The outside terrace on the upper floor is a lovely place to lounge or eat - and the BBQ is a very good feature. In all we had a WONDERFUL time!
And so ends another fabulous two weeks at the Loft du Vigneron. Everything we said in September 2017 remains absolutely appropriate. Karen and Russell, you do such a magnificent job in presenting The Loft - you really are in a league of your own. Please know how much everything you do is so appreciated - it all makes to provide such a fantastic holiday base. How we would love to stay on for another two weeks now - but this will have to wait until next year! We've loved spending time with you again - the boules tournament is firmly in the memory bank! Really sorry about the tea, Russell! Case for the defence: salt does look like sugar when you've had a drink or two! Good luck with the Chambres d'Hotes - it's looking fabulous.

It hardly seems like any time at all since we arrived a fortnight past. Time flies when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have so appreciated your wonderful hospitality once more - not least the delicious bacon sandwiches! And what splendid lunches we had with two new restaurants we must definitely visit next time as we are already booked in with you for the three of us next June. We especially enjoyed exploring your beautiful garden during our stay this time. A l’annee procaine!
Thank you both for a fabulous week. The Loft du Vigneron is superb and so well fitted out. We have never stayed in such a stylish and immaculate property. You were so welcoming and helpful with all your tips and recommendations and we very much enjoyed your company too. We have had such a lovely week staying here. The house has everything you could need and the pool is so nice. Hugh and Ian have need fantastic hosts and we appreciate very much, the gift of plums and grapes from the garden.
Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel instantly at home. The property itself is breathtaking - a perfect balance of elegance and nature. The beautifully maintained gardens, softly illuminated in the evenings, create a romantic and serene atmosphere, while the untouched woodland adds a sense of tranquility and adventure. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the luxurious accommodations to the stunning swimming pool overlooking the picturesque landscape. Whether we were exploring the nearby historic villages, indulging in the region’s incredible food and wine, or simply relaxing on the terrace, every moment felt special. La Petite Maison Générille is more than just a place to stay - it's an experience, one that lingers long after you leave. We can't wait to return!
Amazing château! Stunning weather! Five families came together from different places: Canada, Wales, England. We enjoyed ourselves and each other's company. We hope to come again to this lovely place with friendly spirits.
Merveilleux séjour! Un véritable petit bijou. La maison est un délice et les jardins sont fabuleux. Un endroit vraiment spécial. Merci!
We've had a great time and we’ve especially enjoyed the pool, as the temperature has barely dropped below 30°C day or night for the week due to the canicule. Our favorites: Best boulangerie: Andralie in Monflanquin, just beyond the Gendarmerie on the road to Villeneuve. There is an Auchan hypermarket just beyond on the same road. Best market: (Sunday) Issigeac. Best night for: Sarlat (Wednesday's), Le Bugue also good (Tuesday's). Best for a visit and potter: Monpazier – old, beautiful and floral. Lots of artisan shops and a long fort (Château Biron). Also, fabulous marché nocturne in Tournon d’Agenais on Friday. We ate from (Gyp?) and enjoyed watching Olympics in cool shady areas.
Merveilleux château et parcs. Un endroit idéal pour se relaxer. Bien équipé comme prévu et beaucoup de choses à faire ou pour jouer.
We had such a grat time here! We are only sorry that our stay wasn't longer. The children loved the house and especially the swimming pool. Hopefully we will be back!

Wow, what a huge privilege to be the first entry into what we know will become a book full of compliments, acclaim and thanks to a very special couple who are creating a very special place. The house and gardens are an amazing reflection of the style and care and attention to detail that Russell and Karen are putting into what we know will become one of Languedoc's gems. Their un-intrusive but 'nothing is too much trouble' nature brings a relaxed and caring environment. The Loft is a lovely haven to relax in and contemplate the beautiful world around you. Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans le logement. Nous avons pu profiter pleinement de la piscine et de l'espace extérieur. Les équipements correspondaient aux photos et tout était de qualité supérieure. Je recommande la villa à tous. Plage, ville et sites touristiques se trouvent tous dans un rayon de 10 minutes. Nous tenons particulièrement à remercier Marie Christin pour son accueil.

What an amazing mill. Fitted to an outstanding standard - a true home away from home.
Prior to arriving, dealing with Pete was easy and this continued with both him and Kate throughout our stay. We’d been in Avignon for week before where it was very hot, this continued in Curzon but the house was lovely and cool throughout. We all had no trouble sleeping which meant we weren’t able to take advantage of the pool for the first morning as we all slept in. When we did get out there, it was wonderful. As a family of 4 we were able to relax and have fun round the pool all day every day if we wanted, including cooking lunch and dinner on the gas BBQ in the outside kitchen which we made full use of. Facilities in the house were great and we relaxed quickly, taking advantage of the welcome package of goodies. We explored the surrounding villages and towns which were in easy reach and a 10 minute drive for bread each morning or a full shop meant we could simply pop out and get something for dinner/breakfast. They really looked after us and each morning we woke to a clean pool and surroundings, including towels waiting for us. We felt truly spoilt during our stay and could have easily booked 3 weeks or more and I imagine Pete and Kate will be managing full summers for a while to come. Thank you Pete and Kate for a memorable stay!
