La maison est magnifique. Le mobilier et la décoration vintage mélangés à des touches plus modernes nous ont immédiatement mis à l'aise ! Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la piscine ! Et l'emplacement était également parfait. Pouvoir voir les bateaux sur le Canal du Midi depuis le salon rend la maison encore plus cosy et étonnante. Nous reviendrons certainement bientôt ! Merci.
We really enjoyed our stay in your house and wished we could have had more time. We spent most of our time in the garden, under the oak tree or at the swimming pool. The evenings are absolutely marvellous with the typical Provence colours and smells. It must be a great place also to spend some time in the winter. At that time it will be probably more time spend inside the house which is beautiful as well and very nice decorated.

Absolutely beautiful - all of it! I ran in the grounds every morning before it was too hot! Loved the high ceilings and shutters. Beautiful rooms and space for everyone. Loved have the huge living room. Obviously the pool and beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped kitchen and playroom for the kids and adults! Kitchen was brilliant . Loved the range and outdoor dining area next to the pond. Easy to cook for all needs. The owners have been the best hosts (from a distance). Kind and full of knowledge and tips. They have not elevated our holiday. Thank you fo much. I would not hesitate to return!

Perfect peace and luxury. Château Velouse is the perfect place to relax: large, beautifully furnished bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, extensive walled grounds, an orchard, seats tucked away under shady trees, well equipped large kitchen and a heated swimming pool with comfy beds and parasols. The château is far enough from the road to ensure that bird song is the loudest noise you will hear. We had a marvellous week with a large group of friends ( 15 for dinner one night ) and the château never felt crowded. The outdoor dining terrace was perfect of an evening and we sat late into the night laughing, drinking and playing giant jenga! This venue is perfect for a group of friends or family to spend quality time together in beautiful surroundings. You do need a car to get out and about and Bourges is well worth a visit when you can tear yourself away from the pool.

Nous avons passé un week end entre amis juste incroyable chez Villa Campredon. Villa Campredon est neuve, magnifiquement construite et très bien pensée. La cuisine est ultra équipée, vous êtes comme chez vous. Chaque chambre possède sa salle de bains ce qui est très appréciable. Merci à vous Christophe pour l’accueil, et bravo pour votre rénovation. Nous vous recommandons pleinement de séjourner dans ce havre de paix.
Another restful holiday in this little haven. Visited some lovely villages and ate wonderful food. The weather was kind - most days over 28° (and England had rain!) Warm memories to survive the British winter! Thank you again.
La Maison Cabanon, c'était comme à la maison ! Parfait pour des vacances en famille. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps superbe. Beaucoup de vélo, de natation et de nourriture dans un cadre vraiment magique. Nous reviendrons !
We stayed at Maison Rohmer for a week at the beginning of September 2017. The house was delightful and the pool area very beautiful. We had a brilliant week with fantastic weather. We loved the village of Gordes so magical and magnificent. Market day on Tuesdays is a must. There is so much to see and do though I must admit we did a lot of lazy days by the pool. Things I would recommend a visit to Domaine De La Citadelle vineyard, beautiful wines and a very informative talk on how they produce. We also had a fabulous canoe trip with canoe evasion at Fontaine-de- Vaucluse. It's a must. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day.
Charming place and a charming host. Christophe was so friendly and helpful to us. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. I really recommend this place as a wonderful holiday getaway.
Je vais préfacer cet avis en précisant que notre grande famille a loué un certain nombre de châteaux au fil des ans, nous avons donc de quoi comparer ! Sans aucun doute, ce château offrait le meilleur rapport qualité-prix que nous ayons jamais trouvé. Notre groupe de 18 personnes a utilisé les 10 chambres proposées, sans que personne n'ait à faire de compromis sur l'espace de la chambre. La cuisine était assez grande pour accueillir toute le groupe avec suffisamment de plan de travail et un grand îlot. Pour une fois, nous avons trouvé beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine et de casseroles de taille professionnelle, etc. Il y a trois réfrigérateurs, nous avons utilisé le grand réfrigérateur pour la nourriture et les deux réfrigérateurs sous le comptoir pour les boissons «adultes» et enfants. Le salon-salle à manger est immense et confortable, avec des jeux de bonne qualité disponibles, notamment des échecs et du backgammon. La piscine est parmi les plus grandes que nous ayons jamais utilisées avec un bassin profond dans lequel vous pouvez réellement plonger. À certains moments, nous avions une douzaine de personnes dans la piscine et nous avions encore de la place pour nager. Il y a deux terrasses principales, toutes deux pouvant facilement accueillir au moins 20 personnes. De plus petits espaces salons sont disséminés sur le terrain, donc si vous y êtes enclin, vous pouvez vous retirer pour un peu de paix et de tranquillité. Il y a un barbecue de très bonne qualité sur la terrasse arrière avec un plateau à charbon mobile, ce qui signifie que vous pouvez augmenter la source de chaleur lorsque le charbon brûle. Nous avons pu faire un barbecue pendant 18 heures sur un demi-sac de morceaux de bois. Notre groupe avait 5 voitures, l'allée était assez grande pour qu'elles puissent être garées afin que tout le monde puisse sortir du château sans avoir besoin de déplacer un autre véhicule. Gardant le meilleur pour la fin, la salle de sport/salle de jeux est magnifique. Avec un terrain de badminton pleine grandeur, un panier de basket-ball, 2 tables de tennis de table, un baby-foot, un jeu de fléchettes et une table de billard pleine grandeur, tout notre groupe avait de nombreuses activités parmi lesquelles choisir. Cette installation était constamment utilisée pour les éliminatoires d'une semaine, y compris notre propre événement de type décathlon. La pudeur m'empêche de révéler qui était le meilleur joueur de billard. De notre point de vue, cette vaste gamme d'installations et d'activités a fourni les ingrédients parfaits à nos premières vacances où nous n'avions pas à divertir les enfants. Enfin un endroit où ils peuvent vraiment s'amuser. Enfin, Richard et Nicky étaient des hôtes parfaits, nous n'aurions pas pu être mieux reçus.

We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...

Beautiful! We do feel thoroughly spoilt and have had a wonderful time. The playroom alone is better than our own and the pool is perfect. Very friendly, helpful and efficient service.
Domaine exceptionnel, je recommande vivement ! Les chambres sont très confortables, la literie est impeccable et les hôtes sont très accueillants. Si vous cherchez à découvrir la Dordogne, ses grottes, ses châteaux, ses spécialités culinaires (délicieuses !), ou si vous souhaitez simplement vous détendre dans un havre de paix, Le Manoir de la Compagnie est le lieu tout indiqué.
A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at L'Oliveraie.
Le havre de paix idéal pour notre famille C'était notre premier séjour en Charente et nous avons été ravis de La Charmante Distillerie. C'était l'idéal pour mes grands-parents, avec ses chambres au rez-de-chaussée et un accès facile de plain pied à une belle terrasse et à la piscine. Le gîte est situé en forêt et la vue est imprenable. L'accent mis sur le développement durable était appréciable, notamment les nombreux arbres fruitiers et les herbes aromatiques pour la cuisine. Mark a été d'une grande aide pour tous les détails et a été d'un grand secours avec ses recommandations et ses connaissances locales. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter et nous le recommandons vivement pour une escapade paisible.
I have had one of the best holiday ever here. The weather was perfect and the pool cooled us down and provided a great source of entertainment. The beds were so comfy they got us ready for the next day. The bakery only a few minutes walk from here provided some delicious fresh bread each morning.

The family and I had a lovely stay at your house, Les Rocans. Your house, Les Rocans, has obviously been the subject of careful and loving restoration in many parts and it was lovely to stay there. The location is stunning, one could not tire of the views from the hillside. During our stay the weather was blistering hot sun and maximum temperatures around 36-38 degrees C. However, the breeze coming up the hill tempered the heat to make it quite tolerable. The trees you have carefully left near the swimming pool gave really good shade; it was my favourite lounging place. The swimming pool was so enjoyable, especially in the heat. Water temperature was the same as the heated pool in our local Virgin Active gym complex, occasionally higher, so our 4 year old grandson spent large amounts of time in the pool. Again, a lot of thought has clearly been given to the siting of the pool. There is a lot to do and see in the surrounding countryside. Our regret is we didn't get out as much as anticipated as the heat was a little too much away from Les Rocans. The few trips we did make showed how picturesque that part of France remains, especially around Sablet / Seguret / Vaison. Definitely we shall explore more next time, perhaps at a quieter time of year. Kevin, thank you for providing a place which gave us all much enjoyment for our weeks stay. The whole family wished they could have stayed longer. We did our best to cherish your house as you so obviously do.
After driving through France, it was lovely to arrive at your beautiful house. The weather has been perfect and we have chilled by the swimming pool. We have visited many of the surrounding villages and gazed at the breathtaking views from the top of the mountains. We really don't want to begin our journey back and will certainly recommend to others. Thank you.
