What a fabulous three weeks we have had staying with you at the Loft again. Thank you again for all your hard work preparing the Loft for our arrival and, of course, for your oh so warm hospitality! So many new memories for us to take home and we are coming to terms with the Boules Trophy making its way to Guernsey this year! Thank you so much for accommodating all the comings and goings of our family and friends again this year. As ever, we have loved spending time with with you and it's great to reflect that visit number four is already booked for 2020. We know we'll be in touch in the meantime.
A gorgeous home, with so much to offer! 3 min walk into the beautiful bustling town of Pezenas and you have the tranquility of pool and garden! The pool was a welcome relief from the heat and very welcome after a day out exploring the area! We had some great fun playing table tennis and darts in the games room. We had a wonderful holiday, the lovely, very comfortable and well decorated home facilitated this!
My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Je voulais juste dire à quel point nous avons passé un bon moment lors de notre récente visite à la Maison Des Communes, Philippe et Federica étaient des hôtes merveilleux qui nous ont très bien accueillis. La maison dans un endroit tranquille était parfaite pour une escapade très relaxante loin de tout.
Maison fantastique où nous voulons vraiment passer d'autres vacances! Super piscine aussi.
Amazing place and amazing host Very nice place with a beautiful view. We were greeted very nicely by Danny who was exceptionally nice. We felt at home and hope they felt safe with us as well.
Ayant visité plusieurs maisons dans le sud de la France au cours des 20 dernières années, nous pensions avoir une bonne idée de ce à quoi nous attendre. Cela a dépassé tous les autres de loin! Les photos fournies ici ne lui rendent pas justice. La grange a été magnifiquement restaurée et est maintenue dans un état impeccable. Parfaitement équipée pour toute famille, qu'il pleuve ou qu'il vente, nous nous sommes sentis chez nous dès notre arrivée. Les jours plus nuageux, il y avait plus qu'assez de place pour que nous soyons tous à l'aise à l'intérieur une fois les visites terminées. De nouveaux appareils et ustensiles de cuisine nous ont fait cuisiner avec plaisir, tant à l'intérieur que sur le barbecue. Une vue imprenable depuis la terrasse extérieure de la salle à manger, donnant sur les bastides locales offre une superbe toile de fond - avec le soleil au petit-déjeuner et l'ombre du soir parfaite pour les apéritifs. Le jardin est magnifique, avec de la lavande aromatique qui le met vraiment en valeur. Mais la piscine était le must, avec son eau salée et sa douce chaleur lui donnant une sensation de luxe, comme un bain. Ses proportions généreuses faisaient que nous étions 5 à nager confortablement parfois... en toute honnêteté, c'est là que nous passions le plus de temps ! Il n'est pas exagéré de dire que cette maison nous a fait apprécié nos vacances - nous la recommandons vivement à tous ceux qui voyagent dans la région, car cela élimine vraiment le stress du séjour en location saisonnière.
Cette belle villa au milieu des vignes possédait tout le confort imaginable. La piscine chauffée était un rêve. Nous tenons également à mentionner la propreté exceptionnelle. Les hôtes font tout pour que vous vous sentiez à l'aise et que vous puissiez passer d'agréables vacances.
An amazing time! A fabulous location. Spending ‘chilling’ time with the family by the pool was invaluable. The house is perfect and allowed us to cook using superb French produce. The whole family enjoyed every minute. Pretty sure if you have space, we’ll be back. Thank you very much.
L'appartement offre une vue imprenable et le balcon est un endroit très agréable où s'asseoir et se détendre tout en regardant la mer. Il est très spacieux et dispose également d'une table où prendre les repas en plein air. Un immense supermarché se trouve littéralement en face de l'appartement. Il est facile de prendre un train pour les grandes stations balnéaires : Monte Carlo, Cannes et Nice. Les trains sont rapides et si vous montez à l'étage, vous obtenez une vue fabuleuse sur la côte ! Nous vous recommandons également de réserver des vélos à la marina au 'Booking bikies". Il est si facile de faire du vélo grâce aux pistes cyclables tout le long de la côte. Nous sommes allés à vélo à Antibes deux fois, une ville charmante qui mérite une visite. Le trajet est complètement plat et dure environ 25 minutes. Idéal aussi pour aller courir tôt le matin ! Le long du front de mer se trouvent de nombreux restaurants et endroits où prendre un verre.
The sun shone and we all had a fabulous time in this gorgeous and comfortable house. Lots of amazing food (with thanks to Steph), delicious wines of all colours (with thanks to Ampelidae), great company and a lot of laughs. Thank you!
Nous avons passé un très très bon séjour en France et nous envisagerons sans aucun doute d'utiliser à nouveau Pure France lors d'une prochaine occasion.
This beautifully maintained property is less than two hours outside of Paris. We never wanted to leave the grounds, there is everything to keep the kids happy: miles to run, pool, tennis and playhouse. We adults lazed all day by the pool while the children run happy and wild on the enclosed grounds. The owner gave us wonderful recommendations for off the beaten path wine tastings. Make sure she shows you the mill across the stream where they make the best croissants and bread. The layout of the château allows for several families to enjoy a vacation together, while maintaining peaceful, private moments. Best family vacation ever.
Merci pour ce agréable séjour au Mas des Rivailles. Notre famille de cinq personnes y a séjourné pendant deux semaines en août 2023 et nous avons passé un très bon moment. Il est très spacieux et moderne, avec toutes les commodités nécessaires pour un séjour confortable. La température de la piscine était parfaite et nous avons trouvé l'eau salée assez agréable. Les transats et l'aménagement de la piscine permettent des moments de détente au bord de la piscine et nous avons apprécié particulièrement la très grande salle de jeux avec table de ping-pong, billard et baby-foot ainsi que de nombreux jouets pour nos trois enfants. Les chambres étaient propres et équipées de draps de qualité et de serviettes moelleuses ainsi que d'un espace de rangement suffisant pour nos affaires. La buanderie/cellier était également très utile pour stocker de la nourriture et laver nos vêtements facilement. Frédéric était serviable et attentif comme toujours et a rendu notre séjour très confortable, faisant venir des ventilateurs supplémentaires lorsque nous en avons fait la demande, car notre séjour coïncidait avec une vague de chaleur. La famille du propriétaire qui vit dans la ferme voisine était très sympathique et serviable et a répondu à tous nos problèmes. L'emplacement de la maison est également idéal pour explorer la région avec de nombreuses villes et activités intéressantes à quelques minutes en voiture. Nous le recommanderons certainement ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la piscine quand il faisait chaud, le barbecue la plupart des soirs et l'exploration de la ville. Nous avons également adoré découvrir les villes voisines. Le kayak a été un moment fort. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
Tout le monde est ravi de notre séjour. Nous avons apprécié la piscine et l'ombre de l'immense terrasse, surtout ces jours de grande chaleur. Nous sommes tout à fait d'accord : votre maison est fantastique. Nous serions ravis de revenir l'année prochaine.
La maison est magnifique. Le mobilier et la décoration vintage mélangés à des touches plus modernes nous ont immédiatement mis à l'aise ! Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la piscine ! Et l'emplacement était également parfait. Pouvoir voir les bateaux sur le Canal du Midi depuis le salon rend la maison encore plus cosy et étonnante. Nous reviendrons certainement bientôt ! Merci.
A lovely 2nd week of our 2025 French trip here in The Piglet Barn. More relaxing than planned due to lovely high temperatures ! But where better to chill out than in the garden and pool. Saturday music evening and pizza man were great fun. And our hosts... well, thank you Annie and John for the warm welcome and excellent hospitality.
Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.
We had to wait a long time for our much anticipated return visit to your wonderful villa - and it did not disappoint. We have had the best time, Sophia enjoyed the pool (as we all did). Great place to explore this fabulous area, a boat trip to Saint-Tropez and Port Grimaud plus two beaches. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We look forward to coming back for a third time.
Château La Roche-Posay is a very special place. The gite is super comfy and well appointed, with fantastic views over the river Creuse. Definitely worthy of its five star rating. Laura and Ian are highly professional, experienced chateau hosts who know how to look after their guests.
Cette maison était fantastique ! À l'intérieur, c'était comme une maison témoin, magnifiquement conçue. La cuisine était la mieux équipée de toutes les maisons où nous avons séjourné. Le jardin était bien aménagé avec un accès direct au coin repas extérieur à l'ombre des arbres et à la piscine. Les vues étaient magnifiques sur la vallée et les couchers de soleil étaient à couper le souffle. Une promenade jusqu'au barrage est recommandée où vous pourrez également vous baigner dans la rivière. Nous avons fait des excursions à la mer qui est environ à 60 minutes et aux villages aux alentours. Le village local est à 5 minutes en voiture et possède un magasin convivial bien approvisionné, un café et un marchand de journaux. Il y a une petite camionnette qui s'arrête vers 10h du matin et qui vend du pain et des pâtisseries. Nous recommanderions certainement cette maison.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The private, secluded setting was just what we needed. We used th eoutdoor kitchen all the time, such a wonderful addition to the property. We will be back!

We've had a great week with our two kids, 7 and 3. Wonderful pool, we also loved the outdoor kitchen area. We really enjoyed Chateau Bonaguil – simple but just the right size for our kids. Aux Étangs du Bos – we had a great time on the water slides, inflatable course and other activities! A short trip to Monflanquin was enjoyed with a crêpe! Thank you for being a great host Pete, it’s a great gite!
Superbe séjour dans un très beau château. Bien de conserver aussi bien notre beau patrimoine.
