This is a fabulous property and the hosts were just wonderful. I shall certainly be letting our friends and colleagues know of this magic place. We had a wonderful time, our hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed their company.
We, two couples, stayed the last week of June and the first week of July in La Picholine. We found modern comfort in an authentic environment in the well-equipped holiday homes Maison Carrée and Joie de Vivre. You can rightly say that you enjoy life here. Privacy, beauty, friendliness, a lovely swimming pool, the beautifully maintained gardens... it all comes to you here. And what we also appreciated very much: we arrived in a house where the basic necessities were present (such as coffee, tea, herbs and olive oil) and a nice bottle of wine and delicious (home-made!) cake were ready for us, which made us feel really welcome. Moreover, the area is also very attractive. From the tranquility of the domaine you drive to the liveliness and versatility of Avignon and Villeneuve and for example to Orange. The markets are very charming in the smaller towns nearby and there is also no shortage of nice restaurants. We really had a wonderful time, certainly also because of the friendliness of the owners.
A magnificent week in the charm of this marvellous house and the surrounding area of Les Marquises. Nothing was spared for our comfort and we take with us excellent memories of our visit. Thank-you.

Nous venons de passer des vacances des plus merveilleuses dans une maison tout aussi magnifique, La Barde. La propriétaire nous a accueillis chaleureusement et nous a également préparé un gâteau inattendu mais très apprécié. La maison est absolument magnifique et grande, les pièces spacieuses et meublées avec goût permettent à chacun de se réunir ou de trouver un endroit calme. La maison est exceptionnellement bien équipée et les miroirs et les prises sont parfaitement placés pour se sécher les cheveux, un élément très important ! Fabuleuse piscine de bonne taille avec suffisamment de transats pour tous. Nous étions 8 personnes, 2 couples de parents avec nos 4 enfants adultes (18-25 ans). Nous avons tous convenu que c'était la meilleure maison que nous ayons louée (et nous louons de belles maisons depuis de nombreuses années). La propriétaire était tout simplement charmante et nous la voyions de temps en temps nettoyer la piscine tôt le matin. Idéalement situé à proximité des villes voisines d'Aubeterre et Bourdeilles et de belles promenades directement depuis la propriété. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir à La Barde à l'avenir et pensons que ce serait idéal pour tous les groupes d'âge.

Lovely. Brilliant for kids and enjoyed walking in the area. Pool and playroom were a big hit. Catering delicious. Fantastic service. On hand when needed but not always around which is great. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Charming house in the most picturesque hill top village that has been lovingly restored with air con and a pool to help you cool off in the heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and you can find great food either in the village or in Uzes not too far away.
Décidément toujours pas convainvus par le site, nous avons besoin d'y retourner une 5ème fois ! Merci pour cette autre excellente semaine.
Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux ! Le domaine est très spacieux et nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et amical. Le gîte était bien équipé avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le WiFi a été perturbé avant et pendant notre séjour, mais le propriétaire avait déjà organisé une solution alternative, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La piscine était fantastique, avec beaucoup d’accessoires à disposition, et nous avons également profité de la salle de sport. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment offert des œufs frais et de délicieuses courgettes charnues – un vrai régal ! Leur jeune chien bouvier bernois est absolument adorable, même s’il est encore en apprentissage et dans cette phase espiègle d’adolescence. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour charmant, et nous serions ravis de revenir un jour.
We booked Château Velouse as we love the Loire region. Definitely not disappointed... the welcome from the hosts Claire and Phil was lovely, the rooms were huge in size and height, great ensuites, it can hold 16 adults plus 4 children. Loads of space in the extensive grounds which are walled and fenced, we felt very secure and great for children and our dog to explore. The large swimming pool was fantastic and spent a lot of time there lounging on luxury sun beds under the umbrellas (30C plus during our stay). We had some wonderful evening meals during our stay either outside patio area which seated us all with lovely lighting or inside in the huge dining room. As a group of family and friends we took turns to cook which was great fun and the kitchen is very well equipped to cater for a large group. We had trips out to Bourges, Sancerre and a day on a local golf course, all recommended
We stayed in the Maison des Artistes for 2 weeks at the end of June and had a fantastic holiday. There were 5 adults and 2 kids in our party and the house had plenty of room for everyone’s differing needs. The photos of the listing are absolutely spot on in terms of accuracy! The outside space really is big. It had plenty of chairs/loungers/covered day beds. Fantastic outside table for al fresco eating. The pool was beautiful. We had a couple of minor issues with the pool during our stay due to a couple of severe storms in the area but Colin and Mel were very prompt at dealing with these. The gas BBQ was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which you often find to not be the case. Internally there is air conditioning in each room. The whole house has electric shutters which are great for blackout blinds to get some good sleep and also keep the house cooler. Beds very comfortable, nice linen wear on all beds. Towels were all brand new. Generous and lovely welcome basket was there for us on arrival. Colin and Mel met us on arrival at the property and gave us a very quick run down and left us to it. They were a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay when we did have any queries or minor issues. Kitchen was very well equipped for large parties, loads of plates, utensils, cookware etc. Good supply of kitchen basics. Lovely toiletries in bathrooms. Very quiet peaceful location. In summary one of the best properties we have ever stayed in over many years of holidaying abroad

Nous passons nos vacances dans cette région depuis plus de 30 ans et c'est sans aucun doute l'un des endroits les plus spéciaux où nous ayons séjourné. Nous prévoyons d'y retourner l'été prochain !
We have had a wonderful, relaxing and very enjoyable week at the farmhouse. It is a stunning place that we have enjoyed immensely. We have found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the glorious pool and tennis court and have had a fabulous rest! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay, knowing that the team are on hand if needed... Bliss, an absolute gem.
Had a great fortnight in Les Sphynx de Pézenas. Everything you want really. Recommend Chez Paul, Les Entre Pots and Ou es tu Ginger (veggie food) in the local area to eat. Marina Bay at Marseillan Plage - great food and lovely views. All in all a great location and house.
Cette villa est incroyable. La vue est époustouflante. J'ai séjourné dans la chambre en rez-de-chaussée, à côté de la salle de bain. Une jolie pièce de vie avec accès à la terrasse, un super spot pour voir les couchers de soleil. Serviettes de bonne qualité, des John Lewis! La chambre à l'étage a une jolie salle de bain et un balcon avec une vue splendide. Juste magnifique. Prendre son petit-déjeuner sous l'olivier a été un plaisir. La piscine a de bonnes dimensions et est très profonde. Très bien entretenue, avec une couverture. L'aire autour de la piscine est spacieuse, avec assez de bains de soleil et un bel espace avec barbecue. Les jardins sont magnifiques, il y a un terrain de pétanque, des oliviers à perte de vue et des massifs de fleurs devant la villa. La cuisine est très bien équipée, nous y avons mangé la plupart du temps. Et il y a une buanderie aussi. Une belle villa dans une belle région de France. Très reposant. Une perle rare.

Tres belle maison, parfaite pour un grand groupe de personnes comme le notre (10+, plusieurs familles). Tout est là pour les enfants! Hôtes tres accueillants qui ont répondu immédiatement lorsqu'il y avait une demande. En bordure d'un beau petit village, la majorité des choses à faire sont à environ 30-45 minutes de la maison. Nous avons eu un très beau séjour
J'ai passé des moments incroyables avec mes amis dans ce magnifique château ! Le parc est absolument époustouflant, comme dans un film. Le château lui-même est enchanteur tout en étant très confortable. Nous avons passé un excellent moment à découvrir les villes et les marchés locaux. Une expérience vraiment merveilleuse, je le recommande vivement !
We enjoyed a very special week in this outstanding house in the beautiful Burgundy Region. We would, of course, highly recommend it for wine enthusiasts (a topic about which we learned a lot!) but it also worked very well for us as a venue for an extended family get together. The experience was enhanced further by taking up the option of a 5 course catered dinner in the house one night which was absolutely first class.
Quelles vacances incroyables ! Le Pigat était magnifique et très bien équipé avec des petites attentions particulières, ce qui a rendu notre séjour spécial. La livraison de pain était un délice absolu. Beaucoup de souvenirs précieux au bord de la piscine et nous avons même trouvé la grotte ! Visites également à Bergerac, Périgueux, Monbazillac, Mouleydier, Issigeac, Sarlat-la-Canéda, Domme, Château de Bridoire, Saint-Émilion et Brantôme. Sans oublier Eymet et Trémolat. Tous de beaux endroits qui méritent une visite. De nombreux restaurants en particulier aussi. Certains rustiques, certains gastronomiques. Cela va nous manquer d'être au chaud, au bord de la piscine et dans un cadre magnifique. Merci beaucoup.
An amazing house in a part of France which is so rich of culture, beauty, villages, churches, fields of sunflowers and I must say, it is difficult to leave the house... real stylish home. The kitchen inspires to cook, the outside place gives you the opportunity to swim, read, eat, enjoy the sun. The bedrooms, mattresses and linen and perfect.
Excellent séjour! Notre hôte Nathalie a été tres réactive par message et arrangeante. La maison était propre et correspondait parfaitement à la description. Nous y serions bien resté plus longtemps!
Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
Quelle belle et grande maison ! Belle combinaison d'ancien et de moderne. Beaucoup d'espace. Très belle salle de jeux et superbe piscine d'eau salée. Nous avons vraiment passé un très bon moment.
Nous avons dîné à l'appartement le soir car nous ne voulions pas sortir ! Nous venons de passer quelques jours dans l'appartement de luxe avec piscine. La piscine chauffée avec la vue est incroyable. La maison est bien équipée et nous avons dîné à l'appartement le soir car nous ne voulions pas partir. L'hôte habite à l'étage et a été très serviable, nous récupérant au bas de la colline avec nos sacs de courses ! Nous avons utilisé les taxis Uber pour nous rendre à Nice et à l'aéroport, ce qui a bien fonctionné.
