Can't believe the stay is almost at an end. We have had a lovely time and the weather promised poorly but delivered very well, which enabled daily swimming in the brilliant pool. We all enjoyed the games of TT (table tennis) and boules competitions. So many interesting things to do in the surrounding area; we only managed Bergerac twice. Once for a wine tasting in the wonderful Maison du Vin and once for a very enjoyable boat trip. Golfing Black Kheri and the walk around the lake Les Graoussettes. The cave at Les Eyzies was very informative and curious to note the difference in scenery; handles not to be missed! Apart from the BBQ provided, we happened on Thursday Market at Monpazier; simply great and such a pretty place. We also enjoyed the marché gourmand at Villeréal (every Monday from 6.30pm. Bring tablecloth, cutlery and drinking vessels). Their counterparts in Issigeac on Thursdays during summer. Restaurant L’Atelier in Issigeac was a wonderful treat on our penultimate day and we would suggest booking a place at their mini, shared table and great food and plenty of wine.
Nous avons passé une très belle semaine à La Maison Cabanon. C'était génial de se sentir chez soi ici. Tous les enfants se sont immédiatement détendus. Nous avons eu quelques jours nuageux alors nous sommes allés à Baux-de-Provence. La visite du marché de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (le mercredi matin) et la découverte de L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue sont autant de belles choses à faire. Mais nous avons surtout apprécié la fabuleuse piscine ! Un cadre magnifique, une ambiance agréable. Merci.
Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable et reposante dans cette magnifique maison, parfaitement située pour explorer la région. C'était exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. Sarlat est magnifique et nous avons apprécié tout apprendre sur l'histoire de cette ville médiévale ainsi que goûter à la cuisine locale. Nous espérons revenir bientôt.

Many thanks for arranging our rental of Le Chambarru in Blauzac, it is a tremendous house and we had a very good holiday with our friends from the USA. We enjoyed meeting the owners.

Fantastic villa. Villa Chiavari is and has everything one could wish for! Located perfectly with stunning views over the sea and great sun exposure throughout the day the villa provides high quality amenities only. Air condition, great BBQ, TV room, plenty of kitchen utilities and not to mention a great pool. We were 4 families in total but still had plenty of space. The villa is very child friendly (apart from the pool which always requires supervision anyway). There are plenty of beaches and good beach restaurants within 10 - 20 minutes driving distance. Shopping facilities are a bit further away so make sure to buy weekly supply first time. We hope to come back soon!
Un ÉNORME merci pour nous avoir procuré l'opportunité de séjourner dans votre belle maison. Le Malardier nous a apporté tout ce que nous aurions pu souhaiter et plus encore. Quelle chance j'ai eu d'avoir fêté mon anniversaire dans un endroit aussi fabuleux! Une semaine vraiment mémorable. Merci.
We all had an amazing time in this beautiful villa. The location is really convenient and we walked to all the beaches and shops and restaurants. The swimming pool was lots of fun and the views are spectacular.

Une semaine mémorable dans Les Trois Maisons de Valescure. Notre hôte Thomas a été aux petits soins et plein d'attentions. Très bonnes prestations (literie au top et propreté rien à redire). Une agréable parenthèse dans un endroit magnifique et reposant. Merci beaucoup pour l'accueil et votre gentillesse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!
Le chalet : un véritable bijou au cœur d'une vallée magnifique, la terrasse spacieuse et ensoleillée avec une vue imprenable. Salle de jeux, sauna et jacuzzi nous ont permis de passer de très bons moments en famille. Les équipements modernes facilitent le quotidien. La décoration "artistique" apaise l'esprit et ouvre à la rêverie.
Rachel and Anthony made us feel welcome and were on hand, if needed, for any information. It was the best gite we have stayed at in twenty years of holidaying in France. Recommend taking train into Carcassonne from Bram. It is so easy and only 15 minutes or so.
We had the most amazing stay with some friends in Château Entre-Deux-Mers. I was delighted by the charm of this château. The exterior is traditional. There is a lovely garden with swimming pool. We have some good memories taking an appetizer in the evenings outside! The rooms were spacious and decorated with a superb taste. But most of all : it's situated in the middle of vineyards; so great to do some cycling (bikes are available). So we can certainly recommend this place!
We have had another wonderful stay at Villa Gailinette. This is a place where you can feel at home and out of your day to day life at the same time! Thank you so much for all the comfort provided... nothing is missing, all you need is there including peace and beautiful weather.

Vous êtes des hôtes parfaits et nous avons particulièrement apprécié le superbe mobilier et tous les équipements. Vous avez toujours été très aimables et disponibles. Nous avons passé un excellent dîner à La Licorne et avons été ravis de visiter Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry et Chenonceaux, tous tellement mieux restaurés, entretenus et présentés qu'il y a 20 ans. Nous reviendrons bientôt !
Waouh, quelle magnifique maison ! Elle avait tout ce qu'il nous fallait pour des vacances familiales parfaites. Merci de nous l'avoir fait découvrir, nous gardons de merveilleux souvenirs de notre séjour. C'était notre premier séjour en Dordogne et nous avons été conquis par la beauté des paysages, sans oublier les excellents restaurants et les délicieux croissants et chocolats ! Les jardins sont splendides, embaumés par le parfum de la lavande et des roses (mes préférées).

Our stay at Le Mas de Combet was fantastic. We had a warm welcome at our arrival, the house is perfectly situated in the countryside. It is very quiet with a very nice view on forests and fields. The swimming pool is big and clean and although the weather wasn’t very hot, the pool was perfect. Our host has given us ideas and indications about what to do in the area and has cared about us during the stay, offering his help and assistance, even with fresh bread! We definitely recommend this house and would love to stay there again, whenever possible!

La maison est magnifique et se prête à des moments de partage parfait. Son côté cosy, son équipement très complet nous invitent à profiter de chaque instant. Les chambres offrent indépendance et grand confort. Toute la famille a adoré. La vue est magnifique à toute heure et la terrasse devient un pur bonheur au premier rayon de soleil. Les environs n'ont rien à envier à la Toscane et cette douceur de vivre ! Sandie et David ont été très sympathiques et ont répondu à toutes nos attentes. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
C'était en effect un appartement de première classe, dans un superbe emplacement avec une belle vue sur la mer. Corinne et son mari éraient des hôtes parfaits: avec d'excellentes communications avant notre arrivée, puis ils ont été accueillants, sympathiques et très serviables pendant notre séjour, sans jamais être intrusifs. Nous avons apprécié l'intérieur moderne impeccable de l'appartement, la terrasse et toutes les petites attentions apportées par Corinne; nous avons profité de la proximité de nombreux restaurants et de la possibilité de nous promener de long du front de mer - ainsi que de profiter de la piscine sur le toit, de la plage et de la marina avec son ambiance unique. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et je recommande fortement.
Un hébergement vraiment charmant, avec de beaux détails et de magnifiques sols bien préservés. Une terrasse parfaite dotée d'une petite piscine. Tout le monde était ravi, adultes comme enfants. À recommander vivement.
And so ends another fabulous two weeks at the Loft du Vigneron. Everything we said in September 2017 remains absolutely appropriate. Karen and Russell, you do such a magnificent job in presenting The Loft - you really are in a league of your own. Please know how much everything you do is so appreciated - it all makes to provide such a fantastic holiday base. How we would love to stay on for another two weeks now - but this will have to wait until next year! We've loved spending time with you again - the boules tournament is firmly in the memory bank! Really sorry about the tea, Russell! Case for the defence: salt does look like sugar when you've had a drink or two! Good luck with the Chambres d'Hotes - it's looking fabulous.
Had an amazing holiday. The villa could not have been better. Had everything we needed including free Wi-Fi and access to English TV. The pool was great and heated so we could go in it all the time. The area was lovely. Food was brilliant and overall we have a really lovely holiday and would definitely come back to the villa.
This is a beautiful property and it is well taken care of. We had everything we could possibly think of to enjoy an amazing weekend with family. I imagine this estate as a perfect venue for anything from a group holiday to a wedding. We would definitely stay again.
Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux à Sauveterre-la-Lémance et nous recommandons vivement cette villa. Notre groupe se composait de huit personnes issues de trois générations, et la villa était parfaitement adaptée aux besoins de chacun. L'espace était suffisant pour passer d'agréables moments ensemble, tout en permettant à chaque membre de la famille de profiter de son propre espace pour se détendre. C'était vraiment le cadre idéal pour des vacances en famille intergénérationnelles. Nos hôtes ont été exceptionnels. Ils se sont montrés incroyablement chaleureux, accueillants et serviables dès notre arrivée, toujours prêts à nous aider ou à nous donner des conseils et des recommandations locales en cas de besoin. Grâce à leur hospitalité, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous, ce qui a encore enrichi cette expérience déjà fantastique. Nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'une météo magnifique tout au long de notre séjour, ce qui nous a permis de profiter pleinement des excellentes installations. La villa a dépassé nos attentes et correspondait exactement aux photos présentées par Oliver's Travels. Elle était d'une propreté irréprochable, parfaitement entretenue et équipée de tout le nécessaire pour des vacances confortables et reposantes.
In 25 years of renting houses for our summer holidays, Château Mabrouke truly topped the lot! Ed and Katie have kept it as a family home which gives the house a lovely ambiance and makes it so welcoming and interesting. We loved the artworks, both in the house and the garden. The guide to the house, helpfully shared in advance, was comprehensive. It meant we weren't struggling to work anything out for ourselves and the information on the local area was really helpful. The local team gave us a lovely welcome too and looked after us flawlessly throughout our stay. The rooms all have great character and were very comfortable indeed. The hilltop setting gives outstanding vistas all round and the terraces surrounding the house and pool offered the best of the sun at all points of the day, particularly sunsets at dinner. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the cooker is fabulous. Martin and Philippa, who Katie recommended, cooked a wonderful meal for us and were thoroughly engaging company. There is so much to do, in and around the house and in the local area, that it was hard to do it all justice in a mere two weeks. A day's white water rafting and kayaking with Eau Vive at Foix was a big highlight.
