Charming place and a charming host. Christophe was so friendly and helpful to us. The house had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. I really recommend this place as a wonderful holiday getaway.
It's gone too quickly! Lovely stay at Château du Pic de Rigaud, such an impressive building and even more fabulous views!! We made the most of the pool when the sun was out and when cloudy would highly recommend the walk up to the NAjac fortress and kayaking (Saint-Antonin - but more adventurous than Najac!) and the tree tops walk at the river (Najac!). We had a delicious dinner at Mont le Viaur Hotel (booked by Henrietta - Thank you!). Highly recommend! Hope we visit again one day!
Ravis d'être les premiers invités de la saison dans cette maison et ce jardin magiques. La semaine est passée trop vite bien sûr mais nous avons profité du marché de Ribérac. Visites à Bergerac. Les propriétaires étaient des hôtes formidables.
Un grand merci d'avoir rendu notre séjour si agréable. Charmante maison, pleine d'espace et d'activités pour satisfaire les voyageurs de tous âges. Nous avons également adoré les pistes cyclables, la visite de Saint-Sébastien et Biarritz, ainsi que la plage. Agréable de montrer au bébé les chevaux, et de cueillir des framboises et des figues fraîches dans les arbres et les buissons. Excellent espace pour le chien aussi. Michel le chef a été agréable et arrangeant, nous permettant de découvrir la cuisine locale. Mais nous reviendrons !
Superbe demeure ayant conservé le charme d'antan. Les extérieurs sont magnifiques avec un jardin immense et des bois jouxtant celui-ci. Nous avons passé un séjour très reposant avec nos amis et enfants. La maison est très pratique et on ne se marche pas dessus ! Merci encore à Stanislas et Martha pour leur accueil.

Nous avons passé un week-end merveilleux dans un endroit magnifique. Le château est extrêmement confortable , très bien restauré avec des chambres spacieuses et décorées avec goût jusqu’au moindre détail. L’accueil est chaleureux et tout est pensé pour un séjour parfait. Nous étions 14 personnes.
Merci beaucoup de nous avoir permis de partager votre magnifique maison où nous avons passé une excellente semaine! Tiraillés entre la campagne, les châteaux, les vignobles, les marchés et la marche, le canoë, la baignade, ou la simple détente dans le jardin au bord de la piscine : trop de choix ! Merci également pour la bouteille de pétillant à notre arrivée et la touche personnelle de roses dans chaque chambre - tout a été très apprécié !

We just wanted to drop you a quick message to say how much we enjoyed your lovely house in France. Les Roches was a wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing, seeing something of the Southern Loire, and trying new wines. The pool, tennis courts, and gym were a big hit with the kids especially. Isabella, thank you for the personal tour of the winery, it was good to learn more about how you create your organic/low sulphite wines and the great knowledge shared while tasting a few, along with the ones we thoroughly tested during our stay The Femme Tour riding by the gates was a one off and such an amazing and friendly experience. We toasted with sparkling wine (Ampelidae of course) on the barrels set at the end of the drive as they rode past. Please say thank you to the so helpful Beada once again for her support and patience with our varied amounts of French. The ladies in the village bakery were also wonderfully cheerful each morning as we negotiated the language of French bread types. In all our joint family holidays this one got the highest score. As we watched the red sunset from the terrace on Friday, no one wanted to go home. Wishing you a good harvest in 2025 and all the best.

Je voulais juste dire combien nous avons apprécié nos vacances aux Granels. La villa correspondait à ce que nous espérions, et était magnifiquement équipée, et le bonus supplémentaire était la salle de jeux merveilleusement équipée, qui, comme nous avions 5 enfants de moins de 7 ans, nous a absolument ravis. Je voudrais dire que Karri était un vrai bijou, efficace, pleine de bonne humeur, d'une patience infinie avec nos petits-enfants qui l'aimaient tellement qu'ils ont pleuré quand elle nous a dit au revoir. Elle a vraiment fait de nos vacances un succès et a permis à nos enfants plutôt épuisés (leurs parents) d'avoir quelques heures de congé bien méritées. Nous lui sommes vraiment reconnaissants. L'autre grande joie était les repas que Carol et Andy nous ont cuisinés, juste au cas où les futurs clients voudraient qu'on leur fasse la cuisine pendant leur séjour.
Malina et son mari ont toujours été disponibles et réactifs. Bon accueil. La maison est conforme à la description, grande, bien équipée et agréable. Je recommande ces hôtes et le logement pour un prochain séjour. Merci
Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux au Cottage du Jardin, une maison pleine de charme et digne d'une carte postale. Thonac est idéalement situé pour visiter cette partie de la Dordogne, et la proximité des restaurants et des commerces est un atout considérable. Un grand merci à Caterina et Steve pour leur chaleureux accueil.

We adore this house - it is our third visit this year! The atmosphere here is so conducive to being happy and relaxed. And now to expose the biggest secret of the year - Christmas at Orchard Farmhouse has been a magical experience. The Baquiés are the most agreeable hosts in the world.
We have loved our stay here! Fantastic weather, relaxing days and memorable meals by the pool! Our boys enjoyed swimming in the beautiful pool! After 8 weeks away it was great to have space - we would love to visit again someday!
We've had a lovely week here at the villa. It's been especially good for our youngest family member who has really enjoyed playing here. We loved the heated pool, especially when the clouds come over the fun can continue. Absolutely recommend a trip to see Carcassonne for those wanting a day trip, but remember to check what is open. Domaine du Château is the most beautiful and well equipped house ever. Better in the flesh than the photographs suggest. We stayed as a group of 11 extended family members and a couple of babies. Largely because of babies and children, we wanted a place with a pool where kids could be when adults were doing other things. Domaine du Château was perfect for this. The owners, have a history of taking groups to rental houses around Europe. They took notes and used them in renovating this property, resulting in attention to detail that makes everything work for a large group. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking in making the house work for us. There is an exceedingly well equipped cook's kitchen. Every bedroom was beautiful with en suite bathrooms. They have cribs and the ability to turn the bedrooms (or at least some of them) from queen beds to twins. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs with good separation from other pairs of bedrooms. All are well away from public rooms where there might be noise. There are even two pairs of washers and dryers, so no queue for doing laundry. There are multiple outdoor terrace areas and a stunning view from the salon terrace over the pool to the hillside village beyond. The house is about 40 minutes from Beaune in a beautiful rural area. It is a great cycling area. The Voie Verte that runs from Santenay to Nolay might be the most scenic ride in Burgjndy. Once you get on it, you are completely separate from cars and riding on the level through stunning vineyards all the way. The house is also close to the Canal du Centre which is another great biking opportunity along the old towpath. Beware that the house is uphill from both, so the return may be a bit challenging for some riders. We rented bicycles from Bourgogne Randonées in Beaune. They were delivered to the house and were in mint condition. Must not forget Stephen and Lilly, the house managers. They live in a separate area of the property. They are a delightful couple with an enviable history of adventurous living. They were completely unobtrusive, but there to meet any need we might have, including doing the shopping for us one day. On the subject of shopping, do not miss the Sunday morning market in Chagny. There are dozens of vendors with beautiful local produce, cheese and meat, as good as can be found anywhere.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour, très pratique pour se promener en ville. Sarlat et ses environs sont magnifiques. La maison et l'emplacement sont parfaits. Cela vaut vraiment une nouvelle visite.
