Ravis d'être les premiers invités de la saison dans cette maison et ce jardin magiques. La semaine est passée trop vite bien sûr mais nous avons profité du marché de Ribérac. Visites à Bergerac. Les propriétaires étaient des hôtes formidables.
Mia, 7 years old We have had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. I loved playing in the swimming pool with my nanny, grandad, sister and my 2 cousins. The market in Duras is definitely worth a visit with lots of lovely things to see and buy. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we have.
Absolutely stunning château, beautiful inside and out with everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious holiday. Lovely quiet setting but close to pretty villages with bustling markets and restaurants. Great for large families or groups as there is plenty of room but also has wonderful communal areas - particularly around the pool, the tennis court, pétanque court and dining in the idyllic front courtyard. Grounds to stroll around, with river and shady trees- a classic slice of French heaven!
Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin dans la maison, y compris des briquets pour le barbecue ! C'était comme si nous étions dans un hôtel avec des serviettes moelleuses et des savons prêts pour nous. L'auberge locale était très relaxante et servait une excellente cuisine. Nous recommandons.
Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour au petit pigeonnier ! Debbie a été disponible et très attentive à nos besoins. Elle a été très efficace et discrète en même temps. Nous avons apprécié la beauté et le silence du lieu ainsi que le très grand espace avec la piscine à notre entière disposition. Debbie a vraiment su nous mettre à l’aise pour nous nous sentions chez nous. Nous lui disons encore merci pour sa gentillesse et ce très agréable séjour qu’elle nous a permis de vivre avec nos enfants et petit enfant !
Our second stay at 'Mel's place', the first was in 2012. Returned with 2 more grand children and a grand son's girlfriend. Have stayed in many houses over the years - this is by far the best. Brilliant pool for everyone, loads of space for the children to play and a secret garden if you want to get away from it. We didn't go far - we just enjoyed the opportunity for us all to get together for a relaxing holiday. Also there is so much equipment and toys for the children - Mel's thought of everything, an excellent host.
Your house is beautiful. So peaceful and delightfully decorated. We had a fab holiday exploring the area. The pool was glorious and the gardens, too. The morning view and sounds from the open window will never be forgotten.

Lovely private pool and terrace with comfortable accommodation in a picturesque village. Hosts were discrete but friendly and very helpful. The restaurant a short stroll away is definitely worth a visit. Nice walks on the doorstep.
From the warm welcome that we received on arrival, to the thorough introduction into the Loft du Vigneron's facilities - which are considerable - and the wealth of advice on the local area, restaurants and places to visit, Karen and Russell did everything imaginable to ensure that we had a really memorable and relaxing holiday. Naturally, we are very sorry to be leaving this morning, but hope to have the good fortune to return again. Every good wish to you in your new venture, which we're sure will be as successful, if not more, than the Loft.
Nous avons ADORÉE ! Il y avait tellement de choses à faire qu'on ne voulait plus partir. On y a finalement passé beaucoup plus de temps que prévu ! Très bien équipée et une ambiance très relaxante. Je recommande vivement ! Merci beaucoup de nous avoir accueillis !
Merci pour cette semaine mémorable dans votre belle maison. C'est tout ce que nous pouvions souhaiter pour une semaine de détente, loin de nos vies bien remplies! Comme il faisait chaud, nous ne nous sommes pas aventurés loin (à part une excursion en kayak au départ de Ribérac) et avons apprécié la piscine, le barbecue et passer du temps ensemble entre amis. Vraiment parfait.
C'était la maison la plus parfaite pour que notre famille élargie puisse se retrouver et se détendre. La maison était joliment décorée et avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Les espaces extérieurs étaient charmants, avec de nombreuses options pour qu'un grand groupe puisse socialiser. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cuisine extérieure, la piscine et la table de ping-pong dans la grange. Le retour à pied depuis le bar local était agréable. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommandons vivement cette propriété et espérons y retourner un jour. Merci beaucoup.
Nous avons passé 2 semaines incroyables ici. Honnêtement, cette maison est magnifique. Les couchers de soleil ici ne ressemblent à aucun autre. Je recommanderais de visiter les producteurs de vin locaux, de faire du vélo à travers les vignobles et d'explorer la région. Nous avons également visité de nombreux marchés dans la montagne et sommes allés assister au feu d'artifice du 14 juillet. J'adorerais revenir bientôt !
L'un des meilleurs endroits où nous ayons séjourné. Un petit paradis.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette propriété. Tout était conforme à nos attentes et même mieux. Les propriétaires, Benedict et Pierre Balteau, étaient très sympathiques et accueillants. Nous avons hâte de revenir ici lors de notre prochaine visite dans le Languedoc, en Occitanie et nous recommanderons certainement cette propriété à nos amis et à notre famille. Notre semaine à la Maison des Communes a été la manière la plus parfaite de célébrer 3 anniversaires très importants. Deux 60 ans et un 40 ans. Nous avons apprécié chaque instant et n'aurions pas pu souhaiter un meilleur endroit, ni un meilleur hôte pour rendre ce séjour aussi spécial que possible. En tant que groupe de six adultes (trois couples), c'était génial d'avoir chacun notre propre espace avec la villa, mais aussi de jolis espaces communs pour prendre nos repas et nous détendre ensemble. Tout dans la villa était idéal, de la piscine, des vélos et une chambre confortable au vaste terrain. La cerise sur le gâteau a été Philippe. Quel hôte gracieux apportant des pâtisseries fraîches, laissant des cadeaux de bienvenue. Merci beaucoup. Nous reviendrons.
What a wonderful holiday in this lovely home. We were warmly welcomed by Corinne and found everything we could ever want / wish for on a family holiday / parents / grand parents and small children. The weather was as anticipated - hot and temperate at times, incredible thunder storms / blue skies. The pool was a great hit with all and the pool toys, outdoor toys and indoor entertainment ensured all needs were catered for. Finally, a great thank you to Mel for her attention to detail and unfailing helpfulness.
Thank you so much Isabelle for letting us stay in your gorgeous house in Bordeaux. The house is huge and beautifully finished. It feels both luxurious and like a comfortable family home. Caroline made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated the grocery shop on arrival with several hungry children in tow. The pool was such a hit, especially when the weather got really hot. The area is stunning too. We will be back!
This is the third time at Villa Kali and I can't think of any more superlatives. The villa ticks all the boxes and some. The beaches at Grau Agde and Portiragnes are well worth a visit as well as Valros with all its restaurants.

We had the most wonderful ‘family and friends ‘gathering at La Petite Maison Générille. The hosts were most wonderful and nothing was too much trouble . They told us of markets, restaurants, gardens and vineyards… all were wonderful. The houses are spacious and well equipped the grounds and gardens perfect and the salt water pool... bliss. We had children and tiny grandchildren with us and it was the perfect base to explore the wonderful villages such as Sarlat with its night market and Domme . We went canoeing and swam in the river, visited nearby châteaux and ended our week at a wonderful Bricante taking a few French antiques home… Altogether a fabulous week I only wish we had stayed longer ! We look forward to returning to this very special place with wonderful hosts who were so kind and helpful.
