May 2024 A lovely well presented place to stay with everything you need in a cozy, clean house. Pool was lovely and heated for us even in early May. Close to Carcassonne and loads of nice local walks. Peaceful village.
The house was beautiful! Very characterful. Anything you need is present. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Contact was good and clear. This house is definitely recommended for your vacation!

La maison est si belle et fraîche et le jardin est absolument incroyable. Nous nous sentons tellement chanceux d'avoir pu venir nous reposer ici. Nous aimerions certainement revenir.
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour. La propriété était joliment meublée et équipée et a dépassé nos attentes. Nous la recommanderions à tout le monde!
C'est un endroit très agréable, pittoresque, propre et confortable idéal si vous voulez vous éloigner de l'agitation de la ville ! Mon fils et moi avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et les hôtes sont super gentils et accueillants. L’accès à la maison est facile. Un endroit vraiment charmant où séjourner.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison d'Helen, l'extérieur est très spacieux, la piscine est très grande, la villa est bien équipée et spacieuse pour 12. Hôte très réactive et disponible, nous recommandons sans hésiter !

All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Le gîte était magnifique, parfaitement équipé, et très calme. La piscine était fabuleuse. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et serviables, et les villages et châteaux environnants sont magnifiques et agréables à découvrir.
Un havre de paix, une nature luxuriante dans un cadre reposant et une maison tellement agréable qu'on se croirait chez soi, décorée avec goût et charme. Vous nous reverrez très rapidement... Merci encore.
We have had an amazing time and are very sad to have to leave! We have loved our time lazing by the pool and leaving all the stresses of our normal lives far behind. The owners have been perfect hosts. and the house has had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed visiting this part of France for the first time and would recommend all the beautiful Bastide villages. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can come back!

My family and I had a fabulous time during our week in France. It really was exactly what we were looking for and expecting.
We had a great holiday at Maison D'Aze, this is certainly one of the best houses we have stayed in over the numerous years we have holidayed in France and we will certainly be looking to book the property for future holidays.

Well, what can we say other than we have had a ball and our 'musicals' night with you both will enter the folklore of the families. We have just spent an amazing fortnight at Maison Labarde in Lauzun hosted by Jean and Martyn. The gite is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and is cool inside, even in hot weather. Jean kindly provided many complementary extras for our arrival which was very much appreciated. A great outside kitchen with gas BBQ and additional fridge was perfect for outdoor dining and drinking! The pool was immaculate and cleaned daily by Martyn and there were various floats, water toys and inflatables available; the water temperature was just right- in fact it didn’t drop below 28 degrees for the whole fortnight. We enjoyed the extensive garden using the various seating areas available, all with parasols/ gazebo for shade if needed. It’s a lovely part of France with lots of Bastide towns to visit with markets, fetes and musical events in the summer months, as well as vineyards and châteaux for wine tastings at every turn!! Jean and Martyn were excellent hosts, friendly and informative about local events and places to visit. We have no hesitation in recommending this holiday gite and hope that we can return at some point in the future! Merci beaucoup!!
Merci beaucoup de nous avoir permis de séjourner dans votre charmante maison. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la piscine et le calme. Elle est vraiment bien placée pour les commodités locales, les magasins et les restaurants, la plage et les montagnes, etc.
Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.
Notre groupe de 11 personnes ont loué le Château de La Loire pour quatre nuits et c'était incroyable ! Nous avions accès à tout le château et au spa. L'art du parc était très unique et intéressant. Il y a de nombreuses et magnifiques surprises dans le parc.
We’ve had a wonderful week lounging by the pool and playing pool and table tennis, (all great for teenagers). Vinsobres is so lovely and only minutes away, Nyons and Vaison were good trips out.
A fantastic place to be, hosts are very friendly and helpful. The gîtes are beautiful decorated and the view is stunning. We had a great time and I would not hesitate to book this beautiful domaine for a holiday again. I wrote a comment in the guestbook to encourage other people to spend their vacation at La Picholine.
Une semaine véritablement magique dans un château de rêve, au cœur d'un cadre idyllique. Une semaine absolument merveilleuse. Tout était parfait – un grand merci à tout le personnel qui s'est occupé de tout. Nous avons adoré l'immense piscine et les parties endiablées de baby-foot ! On ne veut pas partir ! Merci encore.
Villa Funel était très propre, la cuisine bien équipée, les chambres, confortables et l'ensemble très lumineux et aéré. Le lecteur DVD et sa DVDthèque ont été super pour les fins de soirée. La piscine et le jardin sont un délice. Nous nous sommes bien reposés. Nous y retournerons très certainement.

Comme les locataires précédents, nous avons apprécié le calme, la piscine, le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec la jolie vue sur les vignes et la garrigue, les couchers de soleil si différents chaque jour. Nous avons particulièrement été sensibles aux très belles prestations pour cette maison au calme pour se retrouver en famille. La piscine est très grande et avec une vue imprenable sur la nature et les vignes. La région est très belle et les alentours en valent la peine Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et Marie qui vous accueille est très agréable. Christiane, la propriétaire est au petit soin pour que votre séjour se passe au mieux. Les équipements dans la maison que se soit mobiliers ou coin cuisine sont au top.
Our second time at this beautiful house. From the moment of arrived we were relaxed. The place is so tastefully furnished, the pool so welcoming. But most of all the hosts themselves make you feel very incredibly welcome and couldn't be more helpful. We had amazing weather for the week so we didn't venture far from the pool at all. Thank you Hugh and Ian for sharing your beautiful home and little piece of paradise with us, we will be back!
