Waouh, quelle magnifique maison ! Elle avait tout ce qu'il nous fallait pour des vacances familiales parfaites. Merci de nous l'avoir fait découvrir, nous gardons de merveilleux souvenirs de notre séjour. C'était notre premier séjour en Dordogne et nous avons été conquis par la beauté des paysages, sans oublier les excellents restaurants et les délicieux croissants et chocolats ! Les jardins sont splendides, embaumés par le parfum de la lavande et des roses (mes préférées).
We enjoyed a wonderful 'Spring break at Villa Floriana! The villa has been perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pool and grounds which were perfect for our 4 year old to explore. Everything was as expected and did not disappoint. We spent days in Port Grimaud, Saint-Topez. We would recommend this place to family and friends. We plan to return!
We had the most lovely week at La Chartreuse de Montfort for a week in the middle of September. The weather was gorgeous and sunny during the day but slightly autumnal in the morning and evening, so we ate breakfast outside but dinner inside around the lovely dining table with a fire in the amazing wood burner to give that cosy feeling to the sitting room. As a group of 10 friends, the house was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for everyone to eat, sit inside or out or enjoy some quiet time in the little study as they wished. The views from the terrace are extraordinary! Ever changing - amazing sunrises with the mist hanging in the valley and then the meandering Dordogne river below. The pool was lovely, warm and easy to access but rather nice that it was situated on the lower terrace so you could have a peaceful swim. The house itself it completely private yet only 10 minutes away from the supermarket and the lovely medieval town of Sarlat. So much to do in the area that you are spoilt for choice - castles, walking, cycling, canoeing, gardens, caves and ancient dwellings, markets - and plenty of excellent places to eat - highly recommend Ô Moulin in Carsac for an extraordinary culinary experience. To be honest, though, the house is so well equipped and comfortable, eating dinner ‘chez-nous’ was our preferred option, washed down with excellent local Bergerac wines! Was the holiday long enough? Certainly not! Would we go again? Absolutely, can’t wait!

At La Picholine, we felt like God in France as usual. From the sunny terrace, with a glass of wine in hand, a cheese nearby, we enjoyed the vines in the valley below us in ‘deafening’ silence, watched the olives come out of the blossom and listened to the cheerful twittering of the birds. The flat of the ever friendly and helpful hosts Esther and Leonard is furnished with taste. A touch of nostalgia with the look of today. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom is comfortable. Everything not only looks new, but is new. From the first moment, we felt at home here. The nearby forests invite you to go for a nice walk. By the way, you can walk everywhere in the area. Tip: the route along the medieval village of La Roque-sur-Ceze with the waterfalls nearby. In the village of Tresques, near Domaine Cadignac, we imagined ourselves in the France of old. A medieval tower with an exhibition of contemporary art, a bakery and grocery shop, a water spring where the villagers tap their daily drinking water and a good winemaker. Where do you still find these villages? The residence is conveniently located for visiting larger cities. Half an hour’s drive and you are in Orange with memories of the Dutch royal house or in the papal city of Avignon, where you can browse in one of those real French bric-a-brac markets in a suburb every Saturday morning. Or you can walk around Nîmes Collesseum after an hour’s drive and have visited the impressive aqueduct built by Romans on the way there. The ancient city centre of Nîmes and of historic Avignon are also an eldorado for funshoppers. In short, the fully equipped and rustic L'Oliveraie was an ideal base for us to (re)discover French nature and culture. We will definitely come back here again!
We have had a great week here visiting our daughter Eliza who is studying French in Montpellier. Lisa et al very helpful and the home has provided us with much fun and relaxation. Also great for walking into town and going on excursions. Thank you!
Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... we couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!
Thank you both for the most wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. We’ve had the most incredible week exploring the South of France – an area we love – and discovering new places. This spot is extremely special and we’ve relished the relaxing days and evenings spent here (made even more special by the sighting of a wild boar with babies and your marvellous set up for the gorgeous cats) – thank you for showing us this! The secluded spot, surrounded by woodland, an aromatic and fragrant garden attracting many butterflies, a beautiful pool and terrace area is somewhere we won’t forget and would love to come back to. Everything has been thought of at this place which makes it so homely. Everything from kitchen utensils and supplies to the BBQ, bowls and the TV set-up – the place has it all. You have both been such friendly and discrete hosts, allowing us such privacy and the personality you have stamped on the place (from plants, to artwork and sculptures as well as the lovely cats) makes this space so full of character too. Thanks again and we wish you both the best – hopefully we’ll return in the future!
Très bel séjour à la Palaisienne. La maison est bien équipée, jolie, propre et surtout très adaptée aux enfants, donc que du bonheur pour les parents. La propriétaire est très gentille et disponible pour toute nos questions. Nous n’avons qu’à remercier pour ces belles vacances.
Nous rentrons juste de 2 semaines de vacances parfaites à La Cigalière, à Servian. Une maison vraiment charmante, une piscine parfaite, nous aimerions revenir de suite.
Magnifique demeure à l'orée du Château de Duras. Décoration soignée, de bon goût et literie très confortable. Nous avons passé des très agréables moments à la longueur des journées autour de la piscine qui a sa propre cuisine d'été. Apéros sympas sur la terrasse avec splendide vue sur les cyprès au coucher du soleil. Proximité à pied du centre et de tous les commerces. Nous avons adoré et espérons vivement y revenir.
Nous sommes venus il y a deux ans et sommes tombés amoureux de ce lieu, tellement spacieux et calme. Merci de nous faire partager votre maison. Elle est splendide. J'espère que nous pourrons revenir.
Really brilliant week at Mas Saint-Cernin. We have loved the houses, garden, pool, views, sun-rises and sunsets, birds, red squirrels etc etc. The local towns are so pretty and the fantastic markets provided most of our food. Lots of coffee stops. Found it easy to do boulangerie trip. Intermarche just outside Castillonnes was an easy supermarket shop (done on Tuesday after visiting the great market where we got large boxes of peaches, apricots and haricot vert for 5 Euros. Great wine tasting at Les Verdots - wish we had gone there earlier for our wine. La Brucellerie great for a meal. Bikes hired from Bergerac cycle hire, google Apolo cycles. Best to book in advance but really helpful man there. Huge thanks to John and Lesley for providing such wonderful accommodation (they have thought of everything) and for being so warm and helpful all week. We have appreciated your many kindnesses. Hope to return soon.

Une magnifique maison, entièrement équipée avec TOUT ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin ! La piscine est tout simplement magnifique et nous avons tous adoré passer la majeure partie de notre séjour sous l'eau. Merci infiniment pour votre incroyable hospitalité, et surtout pour votre gentillesse et l'intérêt que vous avez portés aux filles... This was one of the very best holiday experiences we have ever had. Superb accommodation, spacious and elegant with a stunning pool and table tennis. The area is glorious with mediaeval towns, wineries and close to Bergerac airport should that be required. It really is a spectacular location and can recommend it without any reservation, not least as the owners are completely committed to the satisfaction of their clients. It’s outstanding.
Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux ! Le domaine est très spacieux et nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux et amical. Le gîte était bien équipé avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Le Wi-Fi a été perturbé avant et pendant notre séjour, mais le propriétaire avait déjà organisé une solution alternative, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La piscine était fantastique, avec beaucoup d’accessoires à disposition, et nous avons également profité de la salle de sport. Le propriétaire nous a gentiment offert des œufs frais et de délicieuses courgettes charnues – un vrai régal ! Leur jeune chien bouvier bernois est absolument adorable, même s’il est encore en apprentissage et dans cette phase espiègle d’adolescence. Dans l’ensemble, un séjour charmant, et nous serions ravis de revenir un jour.
We have spent a short yet sweet time in Maison Saint-Julien. It was a perfect place to stay and we couldn’t ask for much more! Main highlights were chilling by the pool and enjoying a dusk on the top deck. A drink in the little bar on the town square was perfect.
Nous avons passé un séjour chaleureux chez Eva à Sérignan. Très belle villa, joliment située dans un quartier calme. La piscine privée était vraiment un régal ! Eva a été très réactive à nos questions et a été facile à contacter. Nous pouvons certainement recommander son logement et nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner si nous sommes de nouveau dans la région.
In 25 years of renting houses for our summer holidays, Château Mabrouke truly topped the lot! Ed and Katie have kept it as a family home which gives the house a lovely ambiance and makes it so welcoming and interesting. We loved the artworks, both in the house and the garden. The guide to the house, helpfully shared in advance, was comprehensive. It meant we weren't struggling to work anything out for ourselves and the information on the local area was really helpful. The local team gave us a lovely welcome too and looked after us flawlessly throughout our stay. The rooms all have great character and were very comfortable indeed. The hilltop setting gives outstanding vistas all round and the terraces surrounding the house and pool offered the best of the sun at all points of the day, particularly sunsets at dinner. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the cooker is fabulous. Martin and Philippa, who Katie recommended, cooked a wonderful meal for us and were thoroughly engaging company. There is so much to do, in and around the house and in the local area, that it was hard to do it all justice in a mere two weeks. A day's white water rafting and kayaking with Eau Vive at Foix was a big highlight.

Two weeks of idyllic bliss in the rolling French countryside with superb weather to atch. As a family young and old, we enjoyed the stunning house, garden, pool and views. To agree with the previous guests, Laparade is the place to be on a Tuesday evening. Days spent at Biscarosse beach and lakeside both worth the journey. Would also highly recommend in house beauty treatments. We had massages and facials. Fantastic. Just ask Olivia.
We just wanted to say how impressed we were with the house we rented through Pure France. We have rented a lot of houses both in the UK and overseas and I think this was definitely one of the very best. It was so well equipped - not just in terms of entertainment but all the items in the house (especially in the kitchen) and home comforts and the swimming pool was perfect. We are so glad we found it and we had an excellent week.
Une maison tellement fantastique dans une belle partie de la France. Nous y avons passé un super séjour. La maison possède tout ce à quoi vous pourriez penser en termes de confort et de cuisine. Nous avons même mangé une raclette pendant notre séjour car il y avait un appareil à raclette ! Sandie était une hôte géniale et toujours là pour nous aider, même à Noël. Nous ne pouvions pas imaginer un meilleur endroit pour une réunion de famille. Beaucoup d'espace à l'intérieur et aussi beaucoup d'espace extérieur avec de nombreux jeux, ils ont tous été utiles car nous avons dû nous isoler pendant 2 jours à notre arrivée en France en raison des dernières restrictions. Même avec de jeunes enfants qui aiment courir, nous avions beaucoup d'espace pour nous amuser et jouer à des jeux ! Je ne pourrais pas recommander davantage cet endroit.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié les promenades que nous avons faites et je vous suis reconnaissante d'avoir pris le temps de nous montrer vos recommandations, ce que vous n'aviez pas nécessairement à faire. C'était tellement relaxant et la vue était magnifique. Je recommanderai cette maison à mes amis et à ma famille. Camirout est un séjour absolument incontournable ! Merci encore pour ce super séjour ! Je reviendrai.
What a wonderful week! The villa is full of elegant and eclectic touches and the outside areas are divine. The pool is just perfect and the shade was needed this week when it was very hot (but not as hot as back home - thank goodness!) Beziers is lovely and there are plenty of places to visit near by. Philippe - you were a wonderful host providing recommendations when asked and keeping the pool sparkling clean. The treats you delivered were fabulous as was the trip you organised to Saint Chinian. For the last 10 years, a whole group of friends and now growing amount of children have been going on holidays. We found Mas de la Rivière by chance by doing a search for 'a big house to rent in France'. Well the house is huge! We were so pleased and extremely surprised to see how much space they were when we arrived. The owners were away but we were greeted buy lovely girl where everything was and how everything worked. The house is child friendly with a huge swimming pool (with a slide). A huge trampoline, climbing frame / slide / swings and table tennis. There is enough bikes for all the kids to ride around the gardens and woods around the property are vast. We were told to help ourselves to their fruit and vegetables. The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of child friendly stuff like cups and plates etc. The rooms all had ensuite bathrooms and were extremely comfortable with good mattresses and fans in all the rooms. Mid week the lovely cleaners came and changed all the bedding and towels and cleaned all the bathrooms. The house has Wi-Fi throughout with meant that some of us could work if needed. And of course browse Facebook and Instagram.
