We loved the setting, location and character of this beautiful house which we feel could tell many interesting stories (... if only walls could speak!). Our boys loved the pool and made great friends with the friendly tortoise. R. favours the name 'Toby' and B. likes 'Edouard'. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch for my birthday at Bistro Maritime and looking forward to dinner at Bistro Pharell for our last evening. Great days out exploring St-Émilion-Libourne. A great trip by train (so easy) to Bordeaux. The bassin de lumière is amazing if you have a wet day. We also loved watching the Mascaret from the house - so glad we were here on the 'right' day.
Un endroit incroyable et merveilleux où séjourner ! Nous n'y avons passé qu'une semaine, mais ce fut une semaine très spéciale. Notre premier séjour en Dordogne a été encore plus inoubliable grâce à ce gîte de conte de fées. Les propriétaires ont tout prévu pour des vacances inoubliables. Ce sont des hôtes parfaits ! Le gîte était parfait, propre et très confortable, sans oublier la piscine, un vrai plus. Nous recommandons vivement ce magnifique gîte et son emplacement pour des vacances reposantes !
Le domaine est magique ! Nous avons passé une semaine ressourçante. Nos promenades matinales nous ont permis d'observer une formidable biodiversité. Un grand merci à Thomas pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse ainsi qu'à Julien et Frédéric. À très bientôt.
We have recently returned from our wonderful trip to Dordogne which we thoroughly enjoyed. Sia and Paul were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Maison Montratier was a beautiful place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of the world. We would highly recommend this home and area to our family and friends.
Superbe semaine dans cette charmante maison à Sarlat. La maison a tout pour un séjour estival, y compris la fraîcheur lorsque les températures atteignent les 30 degrés comme cette semaine. Le jardin verdoyant et luxuriant a été un vrai plus pour moi, avec une biodiversité incroyable – un endroit urbain que j'ai adoré. Incroyablement proche de tout à Sarlat, nous avons apprécié nos visites quotidiennes à la boulangerie et nos repas au restaurant presque tous les soirs – tout était excellent. Petits trajets en voiture jusqu'aux grottes de Lascaux, fascinantes, et canoë sur la Dordogne, un incontournable, avec une multitude de libellules différentes et même un martin-pêcheur. Allez, raibh mile math agut (merci beaucoup).
Wow, what a stunning house – so, so loved being here and just wished the days had stretched a little longer to have seen more of this beautiful part of the Dordogne. Massive thanks to Jayne and Ian for looking after us so well! Thank you from the Blackett-Shield Family.
Beautiful château and very well maintained grounds which are well equipped to prevent children from being bored. The kids absolutely loved the pool and having the shaded area was brilliant for everyone. Everything you could need for a fortnightwith the family - our party included toddlers, a newborn baby and grandparents. the daily housekeeping service was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a catered evening (we chose Indian food). Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We hope to be back.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison correspond en tous points à l'annonce. La vue est magnifique.
Magnifique maison, encore plus belle que sur les photos. Très spacieuse, décorée avec beaucoup de goût (dommage que nous ne puissions pas acheter la déco). Nous y avons passé une semaine formidable aussi bien pour les parents que pour les enfants. Merci à Steve pour son sourire et sa bonne humeur. Nous reviendrons c’est certain!!!
Wow, wow and wow! The views are wonderful with the gorgeous sunsets. The whole family have loved all the facilities, particularly swimming in the multi-coloured lights at night.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié les promenades que nous avons faites et je vous suis reconnaissante d'avoir pris le temps de nous montrer vos recommandations, ce que vous n'aviez pas nécessairement à faire. C'était tellement relaxant et la vue était magnifique. Je recommanderai cette maison à mes amis et à ma famille. Camirout est un séjour absolument incontournable ! Merci encore pour ce super séjour ! Je reviendrai.
Nous venons de rentrer d'une semaine fabuleuse au Mas des Rivailles. La propriété est située le long d'une route calme et la plupart du temps, on n'entendait que le chant des oiseaux. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans la région, mais il y avait encore des endroits que nous voulions visiter. Cependant, nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps superbe et nous avons décidé de rester à la villa la plupart du temps car nous ne voulions tout simplement pas quitter la piscine et l'atmosphère relaxante. La piscine d'eau salée est certainement la meilleure que nous ayons eue jusqu'à présent. La villa est bien équipée et a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Elle était impeccablement propre et les jardins sont bien entretenus. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Frédéric qui nous a accueillis à notre arrivée et qui a été très serviable et sympathique, rien n'était trop difficile. Il nous a fait une visite guidée et nous a expliqué comment tout fonctionnait. Cela a certainement permis de bien commencer nos vacances. Un délicieux et généreux pack de bienvenue nous attendait à notre arrivée aussi. Nous recommandons vivement cette propriété à tous ceux qui recherchent des vacances reposantes.
Beautiful property in a beautiful tranquil setting. Close to Gordes, but not overlooked. Amenities are good and pool perfect. Only slight issue for some might be need to go through one bedroom to get to next; and stairs step. But for us... perfect.
A very special week to celebrate Dad's 70th, It was wonderful to be with family in your wonderful house. My kids had a wonderful time and spent hours in the pool! Thank you.
Nous avons passé un week-end merveilleux dans un endroit magnifique. Le château est extrêmement confortable , très bien restauré avec des chambres spacieuses et décorées avec goût jusqu’au moindre détail. L’accueil est chaleureux et tout est pensé pour un séjour parfait. Nous étions 14 personnes.
Truly magical week here with you mob. What a special family Christmas – full of good food, good friends and good laughs. Already counting down the days until we can come back.
Nous étions les premiers français à séjourner dans cette maison, très agréable et pratique pour la vie de famille, notamment avec des enfants. Chaque chambre dispose de sa salle de bains, ce qui a été très apprécié. La cuisine est bien équipée et nous avons eu un très joli panier garni d'arrivée. Mille mercis pour cela nous avons beaucoup aimé. Le jardin est extrêmement agréable, clos, avec un terrain de pétanque au fond et des jeux pour les enfants. Ensuite, une grange à été réhabilitée et accueille plusieurs jeux : billard, baby-foot, ping-pong, fléchettes. Il est aussi possible de jouer au badminton et des raquettes sont a disposition. Idéal même quand il ne fait pas beau.
Merci beaucoup, Philippe et Federica, d'avoir été si accueillants, généreux et arrangeants envers notre famille pendant notre séjour dans votre charmante villa. Des pâtisseries fraîches du matin à un délicieux repas au "Le Pourquoi Pas", vous êtes allé au-delà - et cela, combiné au confort et à l'environnement de la villa, c'est ce qui a rendu ces vacances si spéciales. Nous avons tous adoré : le confort des lits et la qualité du linge, l'eau chaude irréprochable et la propreté de la piscine. Cette villa fonctionne vraiment, nous permettant de passer des vacances sans stress ! Tant de souvenirs heureux ont été créés. Nous espérons revenir avec un nouveau venu, mais en attendant, au revoir et merci beaucoup.
We had a lovely week at the farmhouse with lots of swimming and relaxing by the pool. The children (and adults!) have enjoyed the excellent selection of toys and games. Wonderful location for days out nearby and we would recommend the local boulangerie for morning croissants and freshly baked bread. Leaving with lots of happy memories.
Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances ! Une villa superbe, propre et bien équipée. Merci Philippe d’avoir été un hôte aussi merveilleux – et surtout pour les délicieuses viennoiseries ! La villa est si agréable que nous avons été plus qu’heureux d’y passer des journées tranquilles, mais nous avons aussi fait de très belles excursions. Carcassonne et son château sont incontournables. Le marché du mardi à Olonzac est fabuleux. La plage de Narbonne est magnifique et nous avons beaucoup apprécié la découverte et la promenade en bateau aux 9 écluses de Fonseranes. Nous n’hésiterions pas à revenir ici – je pense qu’il serait très difficile de trouver un autre endroit aussi parfait ! Tristes de rentrer chez nous, mais tellement chanceux d’avoir créé de merveilleux souvenirs !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Orchard Farmhouse and would have no problem recommending this beautiful house to friends and family. We liked eating on the terrace admiring the spectacular view of the Dordogne landscape. Great facilities for the children, especially in the games room. Close proximity to many delightful places of interest. Thank you, au revoir.
The house is pleasant and the host is welcoming. There is space for a large group. It is easy to park in front of the house and there is also an option to park in the garden. Well located, you can buy bread on the houseboat across the bridge and the bookstore is a must!

A beautiful fun filled 7 days in this amazing house. Thank you. Equipped for all 8 of us. Kids swam everyday, favourite game of the week. Dads throwing balls high/low/long and making the biggest splash. Parents enjoying evening games of scrabble over a few too many. Lots of towns and markets visited. We plan to back back to make even more memories. Thank you.
We stayed at Maison Rohmer for a week at the beginning of September 2017. The house was delightful and the pool area very beautiful. We had a brilliant week with fantastic weather. We loved the village of Gordes so magical and magnificent. Market day on Tuesdays is a must. There is so much to see and do though I must admit we did a lot of lazy days by the pool. Things I would recommend a visit to Domaine De La Citadelle vineyard, beautiful wines and a very informative talk on how they produce. We also had a fabulous canoe trip with canoe evasion at Fontaine-de- Vaucluse. It's a must. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day.
Well, when Beverley told me she wanted to bring our children and grandchildren for a 'once in a lifetime' holiday, to celebrate our forthcoming 50th wedding anniversary in October, I must be honest I was negative and full of foreboding! But... Domaine de Nérige! Wow, what a place Bev found while I was moping around saying this won’t work. Not only was the location, 'in the middle of nowhere' absolutely perfect but the house was just beautiful with every facility we could possibly have wanted not to mention Sandie and David constantly going the extra mile if we needed advice. Thank you both for being the perfect hosts. We have not one negative word to say about this beautiful property - the rooms were comfortable, cooled where necessary with AC, the plethora of bathrooms is nothing short of extraordinary. Showers perfect and the supply of local wine and your own olive oil is truly the nicest touch. The games room, the space for kids to play on the terrace culminating in the fantastic pool was everything kids and the whole family would want. We didn’t need to leave here and, in fact, we probably did spend more time here that we would have in a 'run of the mill' villa. So finally, thank you to you both. We would love to see you both again but it would not be with such a heavy group of 'hangers on' although Bev’s decision for us to all be together this year was an inspirational one which worked perfectly. Everyone LOVED it.
Private pool in perfect surroundings. Maison Meunier is a great little find. I stayed in the larger house last year so was excited to return to the area. Inside there are 2 good sized bedrooms, clean bathroom and kitchen with full facilities and a stylish and spacious living and dining area. And then there is the outside...! There is a beautiful pergola covered terrace with BBQ which is perfect for al fresco dining and evening chats over a bottle of wine (from the local vineyard of course). The pool has stunning views over fruit trees, the fishing lake and forest covered hills in the background. It feels very private and isn't overlooked. The pool is immaculate and perfect size for playing / floating / chilling. The pool area also has sun loungers and a covered portion for the shade seekers. The area of Saint Front-Sur-Lemance is beautiful. Very sleepy and laid back but has all the best necessary amenities within a 5 minute walk (shop, cafe, Albert's pub) or 10 - 15 minute drive (Blanquefort-sur-Briolance for moules frites at Auberge des Moulins or Fumel for bigger shops and 25m outdoor pool). The owners are great hosts; not intrusive but always nearby to provide advice or help if needed. We can't wait to return next year.
