A wonderful relaxing part of our trips spent in Montsoreau, living the dream! While really enjoying the local cafe/restaurants we made great and regular contact with the local boulangerie, boucher and wine producer who are all starts of their trade. Living local in Montsoreau for 2 weeks was great fun and delicious and... the accommodation provided us with the quiet and rest we needed. Spacious and with a place to read and watch the river on the terrace. Thank you.
Fantastic barn conversion, amazing location and wonderful facilities including a large swimming pool. Would highly recommend. The owner was super helpful throughout. The local villages have all the shops and services needed. We loved the rolling hills for jogging.
Les enfants ont nagé tous les jours – en mars et avril ! La vie au plein air est spectaculaire ici, avec une magnifique piscine, une vue et une lumière spéciale toute la journée. La maison présente de nombreuses touches luxueuses, avec des œuvres d'art originales, des rideaux de soie, de « vrais » tapis faits à la main, des draps impeccables et de l'eau chaude instantanément. Les hôtes étaient généreux et exceptionnellement hospitaliers. Vous pouvez rêver de résider à la maison de votre riche tante et de votre oncle dans le sud de la France. Les propriétaires étaient à l'étage et nous les avons trouvés affables et de bonne humeur toute la semaine. Nous avons apprécié disposer d'une voiture là-bas, on nous a donné une télécommande pour le portail électrique au bout de l'allée. Nous serions ravis de revenir.
End of a wonderful family holiday at the villa. Everything we could have wished for. We had so many fantastic experiences in Collioure. Wonderful views, we will miss waking up to them in the morning.
A magnificent, relaxing week spent at Le Chanlie. A soulful, aspirational property where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of this south western region. The pool, the dining area - all wonderful for a family week away! The history and love poured into this house is felt throughout…
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au château la semaine dernière! Le château était incroyable. Olha nous a fait visiter le château, elle était super serviable et nous a laissé notre espace. Les installations étaient toutes fantastiques… la piscine était magnifique, bien sûr, et la salle de sport était équipée pour que chacun puisse s'y entraîner. Le court de tennis était utilisé tous les jours et ceux qui l'ont utilisé (pas moi, je buvais du rosé au bord de la piscine et je lançais une balle que de temps en temps !) l'ont adoré. Les chambres étaient vraiment spacieuses et bien équipées, ce qui ne se voit peut-être pas sur les photos, mais ce n'est pas vraiment un reproche, juste une agréable surprise. Une autre bonne surprise a été la qualité de l'équipement de la cuisine. Il y a littéralement TOUT. Il y a une supérette et une boulangerie à moins d'un kilomètre, mais malheureusement, ce n'était pas vraiment accessible à pied pour les adolescents du groupe, car les véhicules rapides et il n'y a pas de sentiers. Mais ce n'était pas vraiment un point négatif quand on a tant d'autres choses pour les divertir. Nous étions quatre familles en vacances et nous sommes tous un peu grincheux chacun de notre côté, maintenant que nous sommes chacun de retour à la maison !
Au milieu des vignes et en pleine campagne se trouve cette magnifique villa, avec piscine chauffée et spa. La cuisine est bien équipée et nous avons pu nous adonner à des délices culinaires. En très peu de temps (25 minutes) vous pourrez rejoindre les plages de Vias et Valras. Les grandes villes comme Béziers sont accessibles en 15 minutes. Les hôtes étaient très sympathiques et nous avons vraiment apprécié la communication pour en apprendre un peu plus sur la région et les gens. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour et nous reviendrons certainement bientôt.
C'est notre dernière nuit aux Jumelles et nous sommes tous tristes de quitter votre magnifique maison et jardin. Nous n'avons que de bons souvenirs de notre séjour et vous nous avez fait nous sentir extrêmement détendus au cours des deux dernières semaines. Le temps a été parfait et nous a permis beaucoup d'amusement dans la piscine et de profiter de votre fantastique jardin.
Merci beaucoup pour votre aimable hospitalité et votre belle villa. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine ici. Tout est prévu, vous avez fourni tout ce dont nous avions besoin... et bien plus encore ! Nous avons passé 95% de nos vacances au bord de la piscine, l'espace extérieur est tellement relaxant. Beautiful property in a beautiful tranquil setting. Close to Gordes, but not overlooked. Amenities are good and pool perfect. Only slight issue for some might be need to go through one bedroom to get to next; and stairs step. But for us... perfect.
The owners conjured up a wonderful place for a holiday, simple, cosy, quiet, relaxed, great location.
We came as guests and leave as friends. Absolutely love your place. Future guests are lucky to get the experience we have had.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay. You have made the place very comfortable and welcoming and so safe for children. So many interesting things to discover in the region to. In one word it has been the 'perfect' holiday for the whole family (10 of us!). We do hope to return, 'donc je vous dis à bientôt et mille mercis'.
Magnifique décor, calme sans être loin du centre de Meursault à pied . Pénélope et John font le maximum pour que tout soit parfait et sont très sympas. A refaire certainement.

You have both been incredible - from your patience over the booking; your reassurances over Covid in France, and the amazing steps you've taken to protect your guests, ( we cannot imagine anyone could do more ), to providing my daughter with a very much appreciated birthday cake ( delicious, by the way ). Always being at the end of the phone and let's not forget the incredible 'Loft' - it is beautiful - calm and relaxing, spotlessly clean. Your attention to detail is excellent. We have all had a wonderful time and return to England feeling refreshed and nurtured.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely house. We were lucky enough to see the (almost) full moon rising from the perfect spot in the garden on our first night. We loved the house and pool and most of all the beautiful views. To be in a village and yet so quiet is unique. We very much hope to come back.
Wanted to say a massive thank you for letting us stay at your incredible house. How lucky you are to have that place - from the family photos, it looks like you have a lot of great memories from years gone by. We had a very relaxing time hanging out with our family at the house and thoroughly enjoyed pottering around the French countryside. It was just what the doctor ordered! This is a beautiful, fully modernised house in a lovely friendly village. A well designed spacious house over two floors with a large balcony from the modernised kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool and views of the surrounding areas The property is perfect for lazing by the pool and is Ideally placed for trips to many nearby beaches and to the cities of Narbonne, Béziers and Montpellier.
We have had a wonderful, relaxing and very enjoyable week at the farmhouse. It is a stunning place that we have enjoyed immensely. We have found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the glorious pool and tennis court and have had a fabulous rest! Many thanks for such an enjoyable stay, knowing that the team are on hand if needed... Bliss, an absolute gem.
Our stay was as much about the garden as the stunning house, the electronic gate at the entrance worked a treat each time we used it. Three of us each had a bedroom and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and lounge were fully equipped so we wanted for nothing. We linked our laptop in to the CD via a two-to-one 3.5mm jack lead which we take everywhere, so were able to listen to our collection of music through quite a reasonable hi-fi system. The large TV, although not HD, was great for any English programmes you just couldn't miss, even on holiday! We made the ten minute scenic drive up to the boulangerie at Bertric-Buree for our baguettes, croissants and pain-a-raisins most days as there are no shops in Lusignac, just a bar restaurant. The croissants were enjoyed sitting outside the kitchen / living room area on the middle floor, which has a stunning view. For our first week, the temperatures were in the mid-thirties so it was lovely to cool off in the pool. With the pool being quite long, you could actually swim, rather than just splash about which was great to keep a little bit of fitness going. Now the garden. As having a very keen interest in natural history, especially butterflies, we contacted the owner and asked if he could leave the grass uncut, so that any wild flowers would be there to attract butterflies for our photography. He duly obliged. This resulted in a count of thirty one species of butterfly just in the garden, with another five spotted whilst out on our travels. Non-British species included Scarce Swallowtail, Swallowtail, Pearly Heath, Mallow Skipper, Map and the star of the show, Large Blue, which were extinct in Britain until being reintroduced recently. The grass areas provided a fantastic environment for butterflies and other insects. This little area truly is a spectacular insect haven. This is without the lavender hedge which runs down one side of the entire drive. No red squirrels, but we watched birds of prey circling as the farmer cut the field in the valley and amongst other species of birds, there were a pair of Golden Orioles which flew by regularly. If you are looking for a modern house in an attractive location with lovely pool, lovely view and ridiculous number of butterflies, this is it!
Idéalement placée à deux pas de la Dordogne et de Sarlat, Le Borghesia offre de belles prestations dans un environnement préservé et calme. Son aménagement intérieur combine parfaitement le charme de l'ancien avec le confort moderne. La décoration composée en partie de meubles et tableaux de famille rajoute un supplément d'âme à cette charmante ferme où nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Les propriétaires, très accueillants, sont une mine d'informations sur la région. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir eu le temps de visiter leurs autres locations situées à deux pas du Borghesia.
Beautiful villa in a stunning location. Inside there are large spacious rooms, which are all furnished to a high standard. The property was lovely and clean and well maintained. My husband and I stayed with my daughter and boyfriend, we had the lovely bedroom on the first floor which had a verandah with the most stunning view. I found it difficult to drag myself away from here each morning whilst enjoying my breakfast overlooking the village and church. My daughter had the double on the ground floor which was just as lovely with double doors opening out onto patio area. The villa was large enough for us all to have our own space and privacy. Outside the pool area was stunning, more glorious views. Plenty of sun beds for everyone, a very well equipped area and great pool! I also found it difficult to drag myself away from here, but glad I did as the area is so beautiful. A must is the Gorge du Verdon, the many hill top villages and a visit to the fabulous beaches. After a days sightseeing it was great to come back for a swim before going out to dinner. We did'nt travel far in the evenings as we really enjoyed the hotel in the village. The food was excellent, well presented and good service. Italian was also good. We also enjoyed shopping locally for produce, cooking for ourselves and then relaxing in the garden, followed by a game of boules, what could be better especially after a few glasses of wine! I would recommend a stay here and am looking forward to our return.
Nous venons de séjourner dans cette superbe maison. Elle a tout pour plaire. Calme et vue magnifique depuis une ancienne grange magnifiquement restaurée. Tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour inoubliable : climatisation, piscine flambant neuve, cuisine entièrement équipée, le tout agrémenté par la rencontre avec Florence, la propriétaire qui habite à côté. Les supermarchés sont à seulement 10 minutes en voiture, ce qui en fait un endroit idéal. Merci Florence, passez un bel été et soyez rassurée : vous aurez encore beaucoup de visiteurs satisfaits.
Nous avons passé un séjour très relaxant, certains jours au bord de la piscine et d'autres à visiter la vallée de la Loire, les vignobles, châteaux et jolis villages. La maison, la piscine et le hamac étaient fantastiques!

Il y a tellement de moments préférés, mais la piscine en fait assurément partie ! Brantôme - Le kayak était fabuleux ! Aubeterre-sur-Dronne le soir est aussi un incontournable !
Utterly charming property with wonderful views across the landscape. The property has a tasteful appearance and matched by comfortable furnishings and very well appointed. The swimming pool terrace is a superb elevated location from which to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the surrounding villages. The rooms are all a good size as are the unspoilt and private gardens, which are well stocked and quite attractive. We had a superb vacation with friends and we would certainly return again in the future. The local villages are blessed with an array of shops selling good quality local produce, as well as a selection of restaurants, bars, café s etc and we would recommend some of the local vineyards for excellent Rose du Provence wines. Highly recommended.
The house itself is old and gently restored, and extremely well equipped with every cooking utensil you could wish for and a very nice coffee machine. Special features are the large swimming pool close to the house, and the tennis court, which is a little higher up, with beautiful rural views. In summer there are night markets in surrounding villages where you can buy all kinds of foods, from omelettes to snails, and eat them outdoors on long trestle tables - a treat for locals and tourists alike. A wonderfully relaxing place to stay, highly recommended.
