Heaven on Earth. Our two week stay at Villa Chiavari was an absolute dream; I could not be more enthusiastic in recommending this home to anyone looking to spend their vacation in a veritable paradise. We were 2 couples, 3 children and 1 grandparent and booked an 'off-season' holiday at the end of September. Not long after our arrival we realised a major perk of booking 'off season': uncrowded beaches with absolutely perfect summer weather! Villa Chiavari's spectacular ocean-view infinity pool is surrounded by lounge-chairs and palm trees and bordered by a lush garden... good luck ever tearing yourself away. I should also mention that this lavish pool area is accessible by both the main living quarters of the house and by the bedrooms, which we found extremely convenient for our kids and elderly grandparent. Pool amenities also include a shaded lounge and dining area (also with an ocean view), a barbecue, outdoor refrigerator, pool toys and floats and easy access to a downstairs kitchenette. The grounds at the front of the house include a lush garden, an elevated hammock-hideaway in a quiet shady corner and an outdoor eating area punctuated by a lovely little fountain. The bedrooms are attractively furnished, comfortable and very clean. Five out of six have full attached bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning, as is the main area of the house. The upstairs living/dining/den areas are elegant yet cozy at the same time and the entire back 'wall' of this floor is composed of large sliding glass doors that open onto a beautiful terrace running the length of the entire villa. There is a dining area and lounge on this upper terrace as well! The kitchen has every piece of equipment you can think of and if you're looking for the ultimate in extravagance, the owners will set you up with your own chef. They arranged for us a very personable French cook who prepared truly delicious, fresh meals that even our children were not afraid to eat. Sublime. Speaking of kids, families will find this home very child-safe. There are gates on stairways, the entire property is fenced-in (artfully disguised by beautiful flowers and foliage) and there is a smattering of children's furniture (highchair etc) available for use. We were also really comforted by the fact that the owners of this home are easily reached and are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be booking again and I encourage anyone interested in perfection to do the same!

Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... we couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les marchés, le vin et le village visités et les balades. Le temps a été beau et chaud. C'était merveilleux de revenir chaque jour dans une maison et des jardins aussi charmants, très bien aménagés et équipés. L'un de nous a particulièrement apprécié la piscine.
La Villa Funel bénéficie d'un bel emplacement étant très privée avec des vues sur les environs. Le logement était exceptionnellement propre et bien meublé avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et plus (bien mieux que certaines villas que nous avons louées auparavant !). La piscine était de bonne taille, magnifique, agréable pour nager après les visites. Je recommanderais vivement cette villa à un couple ou à une famille.
We've had a fantastic week in your beautiful home with all its attention to detail. Thank you so much – the pool table has been a great novelty, the sports equipment and bikes have entertained us for hour. We’ve loved visiting the bastides and swimming in the lake and the Lot.
Wow… what an amazing villa, it's just so beautiful. We had an amazing family holiday… Debbie and Brent also made our experience so memorable and really have provided a fantastic service.
Had a great 2 weeks. All enjoyed Pézenas and surrounds. Visited Montpellier, Sète, Nîmes. Lovely holiday.
Lovely property, lots of space and well equipped. Play room added bonus. Caroline responded very promptly and efficiently when we discovered a wasp nest!
Maison Palatini was just perfect – we really had a most wonderful, relaxing stay. The house is beautiful and so well equipped and a great location just a stroll from the fascinating old town of Pézenas
Belle maison, bel endroit dans un excellent emplacement pour nous permettre de revisiter nos endroits préférés dans la région. Le meilleur restaurant sur des kilomètres est La Maison à Tourbes. Merci beaucoup.
First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. Wow! What an amazing house in such a wonderful location! We've just come back from spending a week here and I was so sad to leave. The house is incredibly comfortable and beautifullt decorated. You really couldn't ask for a better location - the street is very peaceful (we didn't hear a thing, despite sitting out in the garden until late in the evening, every night) and yet you are in the centre of town within few minutes walk - we loved strolling into the main part of town for an ice cream in the day or a drink at night. Parking is easy; we didn't use the garage in the end despite having two cars between us. The pool is wonderful, especially when its really hot and the decked area and BBQ just make the garden a really relaxing, usable space to enjoy.

J'ai passé une semaine au Petit Pigeonnier en août et j'ai passé un merveilleux séjour. La propriété était impeccable et extrêmement bien aménagée. L'emplacement était magnifique et a dépassé toutes mes attentes. Je tenais également à vous faire part de l'hospitalité exceptionnelle de Debbie, notre hôte. Des yaourts maison étaient proposés le matin et une séance de yoga privée était organisée. Des recommandations de restaurants et de lieux à visiter ont été formulées sans aucune insistance ni atteinte à notre vie privée.
Nous avons passé une super semaine villa très propre il y'a vraiment très calme et paisible je vous recommande.
Encore de belles vacance passée dans cette région. La maison nous a offert tout ce dont nous avions besoin, tout comme les photos et les descriptions l'avaient montré. Le standing autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur était fantastique. Souvent en France, les piscines peuvent être un peu éloignées de la maison/des espaces communs extérieurs, mais c'était un aménagement fantastique pour que tout le monde puisse en profiter toute la journée et toute la soirée. La piscine était la meilleure partie, en très bon état et a procuré des heures de plaisir aux enfants et aux adultes, tout comme la salle de jeux. La maison était très spacieuse et toutes les installations/équipements fournis étaient idéaux. La petite promenade dans le village à travers les champs pour notre pain et nos gâteaux du matin et la proximité de Duras et d'Eymet (les villes que nous aimons visiter) en faisaient un endroit idéal.
Cannot say enough about how relaxing and wonderful was our holiday at Mas Saint Cernin: from the quality of the accommodation, to the fantastic location, the brilliant pool and the warm and helpful welcome from John and Lesley. Three generations spanning the under ten to the over seventies loved every moment of our stay. We all enjoyed the pool and the grounds with all the interesting things to see and do on the doorstep. We aim to return but think we might want to book early to do so!
Fantastic nice accommodation, beautiful details, well preserved beautiful floors. Perfect patio with a small pool. All happy adults- as children. Highly recommended.
Voilà un beau lieu à découvrir. Une irrésistible demeure en parfaite communion avec le paysage et l’environnement des lieux. Calme, charme du lieu, paysage et accueil de Sandie sont et font que le séjour devient magique. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette belle villa. Nous nous sommes tous sentis très détendus. La piscine était très accueillante, d'autant plus que c'était une semaine très chaude. Les vues sont spectaculaires. Nous avons apprécié les marchés nocturnes de Duras et de Monségur. Je recommanderais le restaurant La Terrasse à Duras. Merci Frédéric pour ton aide.
Magnifique maison, vue imprenable sur le clocher du village, piscine rafraîchissante à souhait. Chambres propices aux longues nuits et siestes réparatrices! Fabuleux.
I just wanted to say how much we loved the house! Absolutely perfect in every way and gorgeously comfortable beds. We even staged our own murder mystery in the house.
The house / Loft is absolutely DIVINE - the whole family could actually live here! We've had a fantastic time in the pool swimming. Mack and Mabel are SOOOOO cute. We're going to miss France and especially the house and garden along with the four of you. I hope that other people choose to stay here and that you have a lifetime of happiness because a couple like you deserve a round of applause and a trophy!
What a view. A lovely property and we had an amazing family holiday, it's a real home from home. Location is great with lots of areas within easy access. We would definitely book again.
Un endroit absolument parfait pour nos vacances en famille. Nous avons apprécié les superbes excursions d'une journée, la nourriture et les vins locaux fabuleux (ainsi que quelques jours de farniente au bord de la piscine!) Nous avons passé un séjour des plus agréables et toutes les informations et instructions fournies ont été très utiles. Nous n'aurions pas vraiment pu demander plus.
We had a fabulous holiday, thank you ! What a lovely location; very peaceful but within easy access of a variety of places to visit - Nice, Saint Paul de Vence, Vence, Grasse and everything to offer along the French Riviera. The house is large and comfortable with space for families or groups of friends to spread out. There is ample outside space to enjoy - around the pool, behind the house to have shade and beside the kitchen for a morning cup of coffee. The view from the pool is stunning allowing one to see a huge distance along the coast - that will live long in our memory!
