Breathtaking. What a hidden gem! All the fotos of Château Velouse do not do the place justice. From the minute you enter the gates and see this magnificent château, glowing in the sunshine at the end of a sweeping drive, you know you are in for a treat. Our wonderful hosts. Claire and Phil greeted us and gave us a tour of the main building and grounds. The interior is exquisitely appointed. All the rooms are large and meticulously clean. The bedrooms are huge and comfortable without being over-fussy. The bathroom - lion clawed bath and walk-in shower - what more could you ask for after a hard day sitting beside the spotlessly clean and well-maintained outdoor pool. There's plenty of places within an hour to explore close by, so if sun-worshipping isn't your thing, like me, go to Bourges and wander around this medieval city, All in all, Château Velouse is an experience I'll never forget and one I hope to revisit
Had a lovely relaxing 2 week stay. John and Annie are gracious hosts - lovely touches - wine and cheese and flowers. Fabulous palces to visit - La Rochelle, Fontenay, Plage des Belagus. Vouvant is a charming village. Ideal for a great holiday.
Nous passons nos vacances dans cette région depuis plus de 30 ans et c'est sans aucun doute l'un des endroits les plus spéciaux où nous ayons séjourné. Nous prévoyons d'y retourner l'été prochain !
Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreuses propriétés de vacances différentes en Europe, mais celle-ci était certainement l'une des meilleures. La maison était bien équipée et confortable, l'emplacement excellent et la piscine parfaite. Nous étions désolés de partir - il y avait tellement de choses à voir et à faire dans la région. Nous serions très heureux de réserver à nouveau la villa.
Well maintained property, any problems rapidly sorted. Proximity of Leclerc a real bonus for the 8 year-old fetching bread in the mornings. A real relaxing holiday for three generations and would happily revisit. For Pure France (having used other of their properties) we would rate it 5 / 5.
Cette propriété est une oasis de calme, magnifiquement rénovée et aménagée sans perdre le charme et le caractère de la distillerie d'origine. L'équipement, les installations, la décoration et les tissus d'ameublement sont de la plus haute qualité. Les hôtes, qui s'apparentent à un service de conciergerie, sont généreux et mettent tout en œuvre pour vous assurer un séjour merveilleux. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour.
Malardier est la plus belle des maisons, située dans un cadre magnifique. Nous avons tous apprécié notre séjour de deux semaines - nous nous sommes régalés et amusés. Un grand merci à Richard et Gay.
La villa correspondait à la description et était parfaite à tous les points de vue. Nous avons choisi la villa car tout était de plain-pied et la piscine et la terrasse étaient situées très près de la maison principale. Nous avons passé un moment des plus merveilleux et la disposition des chambres signifiait que nous avions beaucoup d'espace pour nous détendre. L'espace barbecue a bien été utilisé. La climatisation était la bienvenue lors des chaudes nuits méditerranéennes. C'était aussi la première villa dans laquelle nous avons séjourné où nous avons pu marcher jusqu'à la ville locale pour acheter nos croissants quotidiens. Le service que nous avons eu de Pure France et Philippe était exceptionnel. Merci.
Maison et emplacement parfaits pour profiter du sud de la France, des gens formidables pour vous aider en cas de besoin. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour, très confortable et nous étions un grand groupe, la capacité maximale ! Je recommanderai vivement cet endroit !
Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique à Sarlat et ses environs. Le lieu idéal pour des vacances en famille. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les jardins d'Eyrignac et de Marqueyssac, mais il y avait tellement de choses à faire et à voir ici. Le Bistro De L'Octroi, en face, est fantastique. The Loft has been an ideal base for a wonderful vacation, and you have been wonderful hosts - thank you so much! We will remember our time here with delight and send you some more American guests! This is a wonderful part of France and we feel very lucky to have been here and at The Loft.
Nous sommes déjà venus il y a quelques années. Rien n'a beaucoup changé entre ces murs, autour de Duras ou en France. Frédéric est toujours aussi serviable. Constamment disponible pour de l'aide. Nous attendons avec impatience chaque visite, en fonction de la disponibilité (de la villa et de la nôtre). Merci encore d'avoir permis cette nouvelle visite et à l'équipe dévouée qui prépare et nettoie en préparation. Cela est très apprécié.
Notre semaine au Mas Saint-Martial a été tout à fait conforme à nos attentes et à nos besoins. Nous repartons détendus et ressourcés. Merci d'avoir été des hôtes si chaleureux et attentionnés. Des vacances inoubliables. Nous avons apprécié la baignade et les bains de soleil à la piscine et dans le magnifique jardin.
We had a marvellous holiday at le Chambarru. It was the nicest house we have stayed in during our many visits to France over the years.
We had a great time at this big house. It is very well-equipped for a dozen people. The pool is very appreciated, as well as the amenities offered (pétanque, badminton, ping pong...). Shops are accessible by car. The environment is very quiet, overlooking the fields and the forest which makes the house all the more pleasant.
Vous avez transformé ce bâtiment en une maison des plus merveilleuses et, plus encore, en une maison accueillante et confortable, nous nous sentons privilégiés d'y avoir séjourné. Il ne nous manquait rien (sauf peut-être un peu plus de soleil et un peu moins de vent). Tous ceux qui nous y ont rejoint ont exprimé leur même appréciation. Merci beaucoup. Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, this charming haven blends old-world elegance with soul-warming hospitality. The hosts are the heart of this home. Their graciousness, attention to detail, and open-hearted kindness transformed our visit into something unforgettable. One evening, as we enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace, hot air balloons floateo across the distant sky - the kind of moment that lingers long after you've returned home. The rooms are exquisite-thoughtfully designed, impeccably clean, and filled with the kind of character that photographs simply can't capture. It's the kind of place where time slows down and you're gently reminded of what it means to truly relax. We came to La Petite Maison Générille as travelers... and left with new friends and a piece of this village etched into our hearts. We cannot wait to return!
Les Palmiers is a beautiful holiday home. Nestled in a tiny hamlet the house has all the ingredients for a fantastic relaxing break. The garden is beautiful with views over the rolling hills to the distant Pyrenees. Lovely bedding, fluffy thick hotel towels and everything you need to enjoy the holiday. We hope to be back soon. We really enjoyed our trip to Las Tours. The views after the climb were well worth it. Probably preferred it to Carcassonne.
We have had such a wonderful holiday in your wonderful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the fresh toys! Thank you ever so much as well for the wine and cakes which were lovely. We wish you all the best and hope to return to France soon!
Notre groupe de 11 personnes ont loué le Château de La Loire pour quatre nuits et c'était incroyable ! Nous avions accès à tout le château et au spa. L'art du parc était très unique et intéressant. Il y a de nombreuses et magnifiques surprises dans le parc.
We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.
La maison était très grande pour notre couple mais nous avons apprécié l'espace dans la maison et autour. La piscine est tout simplement parfaite avec ses 16m on peut vraiment faire un peu d'exercice après avoir trop mangé et trop bu. Ce furent des vacances très reposantes et une région agréable à découvrir.
Grande maison avec belle piscine. Cuisine bien équipée avec, entre autres, plancha à l'extérieur, très agréable ! Nous avons également apprécié le barbecue. Toutes les commodités sont disponibles. nous étions avec 6 adultes et 8 enfants, à la limite mais certainement faisable. Merci pour la climatisation dans les chambres - les coûts d'électricité sont toujours réglés séparément
What an amazing place! Beautiful view had everything we needed and more, children (and adults) loved the pool. The weather was beautiful what more can we say! The perfect place.

It's gone too quickly! Lovely stay at Château du Pic de Rigaud, such an impressive building and even more fabulous views!! We made the most of the pool when the sun was out and when cloudy would highly recommend the walk up to the NAjac fortress and kayaking (Saint-Antonin - but more adventurous than Najac!) and the tree tops walk at the river (Najac!). We had a delicious dinner at Mont le Viaur Hotel (booked by Henrietta - Thank you!). Highly recommend! Hope we visit again one day!
