Merci pour ce beau séjour. La maison est très confortable et constitue une base idéale pour explorer la région. Les moments forts ont été Dinan, Le Mont-Saint-Michel et Faugères. Nous avons aussi aimé conduire à travers la campagne. La boulangerie de Bazouges-la-Pérouse était fantastique ! Nous avons adoré le panier de bienvenue - c'était un cadeau tellement attentionné et utile. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour!
We enjoyed the house very much. We especially enjoyed the kitchen. The provision of cook books, an array of perfectly clean utensils. A stock of herbs and spices was a real bonus. We hope many more come and enjoy it as we did.
Thank you so much for the very warm welcome, all the ‘goodies’ you provided and of course the use of your very well equipped Loft. It felt like we had always known you (perhaps because we’re all Northerners!). The Italian restaurant in the village is great to be able to walk to. A few degrees below 38 would have been preferable, but out of your control! Good luck with the house.

We had a lovely time in a beautifully converted villa. So much space for relaxing and the kids to roam free at the table tennis out building or down by the pool. C'est un endroit merveilleux où séjourner : en tant que couple, avons passé deux semaines à Carcavi en septembre 2022. Nous voulions une pause tranquille offrant confort et luxe et la maison correspondait à tout ce que nous espérions et plus encore. La maison elle-même est très bien équipée et dispose de fauteuils confortables et d'un bon lit :-) Carcavi est spacieuse et belle, le terrain est vaste et la piscine est superbe. C'est très paisible. Il y avait un généreux panier de nourriture et de boissons pour notre début de séjour. L'ensemble de la propriété est excellement entretenu. Il y a beaucoup d'informations disponibles à la maison et bien sûr encore davantage auprès des hôtes Rupert et Debbie. Nous avons beaucoup lu, profitant des différents endroits pour nous asseoir, nous avons nagé et M a examiné avec enthousiasme les plantes et invertébrés locaux variés. Nous avons apprécié les promenades dans les bois et la vallée à proximité. Merci beaucoup à Rupert et Debbie de nous avoir permis d'utiliser le téléphone de la maison pour appeler la pharmacie de garde lors d'un besoin urgent, cela a été vraiment apprécié.

Enchanting character house, with fabulous views making it difficult to leave, thank you for allowing us to share a real home from home. A really well equipped kitchen making it a great place to buy the local produce and wine and enjoy the benefits of staying in and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. A day out driving through Beaume de Venice and Gigondas with the views of the Dentelles de mont Mirail was a highlight of our week. The market at Vaison la romaine was good fun, The wine at the Domaine Vallot (next door) was excellent as was the local bakery in Nyons. All in all a great week and thank you,

Weather lovely watching the house and surroundings. Trip to a little place 45 or so miles away called Coulon well worth a day out there. It was a very pretty riverside town where you could hire bikes, canoes or kayaks or take a leisurely stroll only the banks. Then enjoy refreshments at the riverside bars/restaurants while enjoying the sunshine and scenery. Will definitely visit again. Stayed here many times and never get tired as there is always somewhere new to go and explore (if you can bear ro tear yourself away from here). Thanks Anna and James for letting us use your beautiful house.

Nous avons séjourné ici trois semaines. Pour la première semaine, notre famille nous a rejoint: nos trois fils et conjoints. Cette maison regorge de beaux objets et nous avons adoré y être. Nous avons apprécié les beaux cadeaux de pâtisseries et de pain apportés par Philippe. Merci aussi pour le repas incroyable qui comprenait un gâteau pour mon 70e anniversaire. Nous sommes allés à la ville fortifiée de Carcassonne qui vaut bien une visite. Nous sommes allés à la plage et notre balade a été charmante. Nous sommes tristes de partir et le chant des oiseaux nous manquera. Je crains que le chat n'ait pas été accueilli par nos deux carlins et qu'il ait été chassé. La dégustation de vin à St. Chinian était incroyable. Nous avons acheté des bouteilles de vin avec des étiquettes incroyablement belles, la cave était décorée avec de si belles œuvres d'art. La visite en vaut la peine. Merci pour le vin de dégustation et pour cette recommandation.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre semaine dans votre charmante maison. Le cadre est magnifique. La campagne, nous avons réussi à voir de beaux cerfs et avons particulièrement apprécié les oiseaux-mouches, si minuscules. Nous avons réussi à explorer les marchés locaux et certaines villes. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home with brilliant accommodation including a lovely pool and Martyn and Jean looked after us giving suggestion of places to visit. The area was brilliant with lots to see and many restaurants within a ten minute drive plus one restaurant, bakers butchers and general store all within walking distance. A special thank you to Ombre for keeping our football skills on song. I would thoroughly recommend.

Nous avons dîné à l'appartement le soir car nous ne voulions pas sortir ! Nous venons de passer quelques jours dans l'appartement de luxe avec piscine. La piscine chauffée avec la vue est incroyable. La maison est bien équipée et nous avons dîné à l'appartement le soir car nous ne voulions pas partir. L'hôte habite à l'étage et a été très serviable, nous récupérant au bas de la colline avec nos sacs de courses ! Nous avons utilisé les taxis Uber pour nous rendre à Nice et à l'aéroport, ce qui a bien fonctionné.
This is a total joy of a house. The photographs make it look beautiful - it is even better in real life. The pool is quite incredible - like being in a boutique hotel all of your own. A true hidden gem.
Great stay in your wonderful home. Enjoyed exploring the area including Nerac and its chateau museum. Good lunch at Le Vert Gentil next to the river in Nerac. Loved the lily gardens at Temple Sur Lot and managed to get a table for lunch without booking. Beautiful setting and pretty good food too! Night market here (last of the season) was great fun and amazing setting overlooking the lot valley. Janet and Mark you’ve been great hosts and really helpful. Thank you.

Nous venons de rentrer d'une semaine fabuleuse au Mas des Rivailles. La propriété est située le long d'une route calme et la plupart du temps, on n'entendait que le chant des oiseaux. Nous avons déjà séjourné dans la région, mais il y avait encore des endroits que nous voulions visiter. Cependant, nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps superbe et nous avons décidé de rester à la villa la plupart du temps car nous ne voulions tout simplement pas quitter la piscine et l'atmosphère relaxante. La piscine d'eau salée est certainement la meilleure que nous ayons eue jusqu'à présent. La villa est bien équipée et a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Elle était impeccablement propre et les jardins sont bien entretenus. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Frédéric qui nous a accueillis à notre arrivée et qui a été très serviable et sympathique, rien n'était trop difficile. Il nous a fait une visite guidée et nous a expliqué comment tout fonctionnait. Cela a certainement permis de bien commencer nos vacances. Un délicieux et généreux pack de bienvenue nous attendait à notre arrivée aussi. Nous recommandons vivement cette propriété à tous ceux qui recherchent des vacances reposantes.
To open the shutters of the pretty red bedroom and see that glorious view, gives one a small inkling of why the 'Sun King' built Versailles! This was my 4th visit to Provence and it hasn't disappointed. Many thanks
Hi future guest, The couple who own the property have poured so much love into every corner of the beautiful. home that you can feel it when you stay there. The place is so much more cosy and beautifully designed than the pictures give the impression. During our stay we said we wanted to listen to music and asked if there were speakers onsite. Karen and Russell said there wasn't but then went out and bought a pair for us to use! At one point we were cooking and I borrowed some olive oil, curry powder and a chilli pepper. I wanted to get a guitar and they told me where a fabulous music shop was and I ended up purchasing a beautiful guitar. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt beyond welcome. The place is a bit like a fairytale place, and they made our stay beyond what we imagined. It is an oasis and a sanctuary and close to many nearby sites such as Château de Rene and others. Highly recommend staying here.
