Very pretty new hotel, charmingly furnished in the beautiful wine village of Meursault. You can get to Beaune very quickly, but Dijon is also easily accessible by car. Very nice, warm hosts.
Nous avons passé une semaine des plus merveilleuses ici dans votre belle maison. La maison, les jardins et la piscine étaient exactement ce dont nous avions besoin, à tel point que nous avons rarement ressenti le besoin de nous aventurer ailleurs sauf pour nous ravitailler. Nous espérons tous revenir bientôt.
Very nice accommodation with a huge living room. The proximity to the canal is the charm of the charm of the house.
We had the most wonderful ‘family and friends ‘gathering at La Petite Maison Générille. The hosts were most wonderful and nothing was too much trouble . They told us of markets, restaurants, gardens and vineyards… all were wonderful. The houses are spacious and well equipped the grounds and gardens perfect and the salt water pool... bliss. We had children and tiny grandchildren with us and it was the perfect base to explore the wonderful villages such as Sarlat with its night market and Domme . We went canoeing and swam in the river, visited nearby châteaux and ended our week at a wonderful Bricante taking a few French antiques home… Altogether a fabulous week I only wish we had stayed longer ! We look forward to returning to this very special place with wonderful hosts who were so kind and helpful.
In 25 years of renting houses for our summer holidays, Château Mabrouke truly topped the lot! Ed and Katie have kept it as a family home which gives the house a lovely ambiance and makes it so welcoming and interesting. We loved the artworks, both in the house and the garden. The guide to the house, helpfully shared in advance, was comprehensive. It meant we weren't struggling to work anything out for ourselves and the information on the local area was really helpful. The local team gave us a lovely welcome too and looked after us flawlessly throughout our stay. The rooms all have great character and were very comfortable indeed. The hilltop setting gives outstanding vistas all round and the terraces surrounding the house and pool offered the best of the sun at all points of the day, particularly sunsets at dinner. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped and the cooker is fabulous. Martin and Philippa, who Katie recommended, cooked a wonderful meal for us and were thoroughly engaging company. There is so much to do, in and around the house and in the local area, that it was hard to do it all justice in a mere two weeks. A day's white water rafting and kayaking with Eau Vive at Foix was a big highlight.
La villa s'est avérée être la maison idéale pour la semaine, car elle cochait de nombreuses cases : un sympathique propriétaire de villa qui parlait bien anglais, à dix minutes à pied de la plage et des restaurants, à cinq minutes à pied de la gare du Cros de Cagnes où vous pouvez prendre le train local pour Cannes en 24 minutes et Nice en 15 minutes - donc pas besoin de vous tracasser avec la location de voiture, un supermarché bien approvisionné à 10 minutes à pied, à distance de marche du bus gratuit jusqu'au magnifique village perché du Haut de Cagnes. Une villa propre et bien meublée, chaque pièce disposant de commandes individuelles pour les réglages de la climatisation... agréable lorsque vous rentrez d'une chaude journée ! De la glace à volonté dans l'immense réfrigérateur et une piscine à la bonne température, de jour comme de nuit.
Charming house in the most picturesque hill top village that has been lovingly restored with air con and a pool to help you cool off in the heat. The surrounding area has lots to offer and you can find great food either in the village or in Uzes not too far away.
A wonderful villa in a stunning location, plenty of sightseeing within driving distance. A fantastic holiday for a 3 month old boy and all the family.
We stayed in this amazing house for a couple of weeks - 4 couples, with kids left home! The place is really hard to describe because it is so much more than we expected. Also the photos don't quite do it justice (especially the outdoors pics). It is a huge house, with several levels. All the bedrooms bar one are on one upper floor. The other bedroom (that we stayed in) is accessible on the side of the building and has a lovely little terrace with a small table and chairs. Perfect for taking in the sun or simply relaxing. I did do a bit of work there. On the lower level is the huge kitchen, big dining area with a really cool table that makes entertaining fun and loads of interesting living areas each individual and stylishly decorated. All in all it is a big place where it is easy to spend time with friends and be sociable, or retreat to one of the cosy, quirky but fantastic living spaces for me-time. We weren't quite sure what we would do there for 2 weeks as it seemed a little remote, but it is SO relaxing and welcoming we spent the first week just staying put and enjoying it. The swimming pool is great and I did my lengths every morning. The area just beyond the pool is great in the evening for a drink (or many more). The bedrooms are really special. Big and very well appointed. Comfortable beds and interesting bathrooms (ours had a built-in bath). The owner Fred is super friendly and accommodating. We were welcomed by him and his partner and to our surprise the fridge was filled with local produce and there was also some wine and fresh bread left for us! Great surprise and even better after the long drive down! For shopping we went to the closest town and there were 2 large supermarkets there as well as the usual bakeries/butchers etc. The area is very beautiful. The mountains are stunning and we found some really lovely villages to explore. We had a great dinner one night in Sauve. Really cute village well worth exploring. We ate on a square high up overlooking the river below. I could go on and on. The place has so much charm and is so well appointed, we could have stayed for longer. We have amazing memories and special thanks to Fred for having created this small piece of paradise.

Amazing holiday location! Great views of a peaceful quaint little village in south of France, and don't even need to get out of the pool. Everything you need is provided by the host, excellent quality of service for the price. Great variety of excursions possible in the area, be it sporty, cultural or plain shopping and farniente! Looking forward to coming back again as soon as possible!!!
Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner au Château Trieux plusieurs fois et quel endroit vraiment magique! Dès l'instant où vous approchez de la maison, à travers les champs de tournesols, vous vous sentez transporté dans vos vacances de rêve. Quel que soit votre truc - que ce soit pour vous détendre au bord de la piscine, jouer au tennis ou simplement vous asseoir au bord de la rivière à l'ombre des arbres en contemplant la vie - le Château Trieux a tout pour plaire. Une visite au marché de Monflanquin est un must ou profiter d'un kayak le long de la rivière. Je ne saurais que trop recommander cet endroit. Nous reviendrons!
Des vacances attendues... pour ce coin secret... Un séjour très reposant. Une superbe région. Des visites à nous couper le souffle. Le gouffre de Padirac excellent... Grotte de Lascaux, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Le Rocher des Aigles. Le Labyrinthe du Bugue. Tout était parfait. Une maison pleine de charme qui nous a inspiré pour notre futur bien immobilier. Frédéric et Marilou sont des hôtes formidables toujours de bon conseil du coup nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Un grand merci.
Carole et Jean-Luc ont créé une merveilleuse maison tranquille. C'est de loin la mieux équipée que nous ayons jamais louée - par exemple, la cuisine ne manque absolument de rien du tout ! Elle est très bien située et juste à une courte distance en voiture des attractions locales (par exemple Grasse, Mons, Callian, etc.) ainsi qu'à une courte distance de la Riviera. Nos hôtes ont été d'une grande aide lorsque nous leur avons demandé conseil, et nous espérons qu'un jour nous pourrons revenir.
We have really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. We have been lazy and mostly stayed by the pool. We had a great couple of meals in St Émilion and we visited some vineyards. All in all a fabulous holiday. Great hoss, and the house is very well equipped!
Located in a beautiful environment by the Canal du Midi in a small village full of charm with its small stone bridge, restaurants and this incredible bookstore, this accommodation is perfect. Beautiful bedrooms with their own very spacious bathrooms, a very warm living room with its fireplace, beautiful ceiling height, a well-equipped open kitchen and pretty beams. A nice pool area, a large garden, lovely terrace are also worth highlighting. The hospitality is perfect. I highly recommend it.
Endroit très privé et paisible où séjourner. Excellents équipements. La maison était charmante, propre et spacieuse avec toutes les installations nécessaires. En suivant les conseils concernant l'ouverture et la fermeture des volets, etc., nous avons pu trouver de l'ombre et de la fraîcheur à chaque fois que nous en avions besoin. La piscine était également propre et agréable à utiliser - un grand soulagement pendant la partie la plus chaude de la journée. Les boulangeries de Saint-Valentin et de Bivet étaient super (comme partout ailleurs). Intermarché à Bivet s'est avéré pratique mais d'autres sont également disponibles dans d'autres directions. Les excursions en fin d'après-midi à Marseille, Aix-en-Provence sont parfaites et le stationnement est très simple. L'excursion matinale à Cassis pour se rendre à la mer a également été un grand succès. Le stationnement y est bon le matin mais semble beaucoup plus fréquenté plus tard dans la journée.
Un grand gîte familial avec beaucoup d'espace pour nous tous. Nous avons fait de belles balades par ici, aux gorges, à Orpierre et Rosans. Nous avond également réussi à intégrer des temps de farniente autour de la piscine, des bains de soleil et de la lecture. Des vacances parfaites ! J'espère revenir...
Cottage du Jardin est magnifiquement entretenu et présente un intérieur magnifique. Ce qui nous a vraiment impressionnés, c'est son emplacement paisible au sein du parc des propriétaires et la piscine paisible où l'on peut se prélasser un après-midi ensoleillé. Le cottage se trouve à environ 5 à 10 minutes à pied du village. Vous y trouverez une petite épicerie proposant de tout pour satisfaire vos besoins, ainsi qu'un restaurant proposant de délicieux repas à des prix très raisonnables. À essayer absolument lors de votre séjour. Si vous préférez faire vos courses, deux grands supermarchés sont à 10 minutes en voiture, sur la route de Montignac. Montignac est une jolie ville avec de charmants restaurants au bord de la rivière. Le cottage est idéalement situé pour visiter les sites touristiques locaux, qu'il s'agisse d'un château comme le Château de Losse ou le Château des Milandes avec ses magnifiques jardins, ou de jolies villes et villages, nos préférés étant Saint-Léon, La Roque-Gageac et Domme. Un ciel bleu magnifique tous les jours avec des températures atteignant 36 degrés un jour. Cela nous a donné l'excuse parfaite pour passer quelques jours à nous prélasser au bord de la piscine et à nous ressourcer dans un cadre magnifique. En résumé, grâce au gîte, à la météo et à des hôtes parfaits, nous avons passé une semaine formidable, mais nous sommes repartis un peu tristes. Cependant, nous savons que nous reviendrons, plus longtemps la prochaine fois, car il y a encore beaucoup à voir dans cette belle région de France. Ce furent vraiment nos meilleures vacances. Nous avons adoré le piano et en avons joué tous les jours. Nous avons également adoré la piscine car elle très bonne tout en restant rafraîchissante. Merci Frédéric, jolie maison, faut-il vraiment rentrer?
Nous sommes rentrés depuis une semaine à la maison et je voulais juste envoyer un email pour vous remercier pour ces vacances merveilleuses. Parfait du début à la fin. Réservation facile, communication au top, un gîte fantastique avec de super propriétaires. C'était seulement notre deuxième réservation avec Pure France mais cela ne sera certainement pas la dernière!
La villa est une maison très confortable et spacieuse. Les meubles et les équipements sont d'excellente qualité. Chaque chambre a sa propre douche/salle de bain et toilettes ainsi que son propre espace salon/repos. Un bel avantage pour une grande famille, un groupe d'amis ou deux familles partageant le logement. L'espace extérieur est très agréable et privé. Il y a beaucoup d'espace où s'installer et se détendre. L'emplacement de la villa est idéal pour visiter les sites de la Côte d'Azur. Les transports en commun sont accessibles à pied depuis la villa, tout comme les commerces pour les besoins quotidiens. Les propriétaires sont sympathiques et serviables.
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. Merci beaucoup.
