Stunning château in rural France. In August this year we made our 3rd visit to Château Velouse with a group of friends and once again had a wonderful time. The first time we flew to Paris and hired a car but found it more economical to take a ferry - crossing to Dieppe last year and Calais in August. Easy drive on all occasions. Location is in a beautiful rural area steeped in history and close to the Loire with its majestic châteaux and extensive forests. Medieval Bourge, only a few miles away, is very well worth several visits – the acoustics in the cathedral are amazing. The surrounding area is reasonably flat and so an ideal centre for cycling on very quiet roads and off road tracks. The communal areas and bedrooms in the château are impressive and very classy. The pool area is an ideal centre for complete relaxation. Pool is clean and well maintained. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly - very attentive to our needs and not obtrusive. Well worth a visit.

Un grand merci à nos hôtes. Un accueil très chaleureux, plein de bons conseils pour nous permettre de passer un agréable séjour. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié d’avoir 3 sdb qui nous a donné beaucoup de confort et surtout la mise à disposition de nombreux vélos en très bon état qui nous ont permis de faire de superbes ballades. Le jardin est très agréable et propice à créer de beaux souvenirs de we barbecue - piscine entre amis.
J'ai séjourné dans cette superbe villa avec mes 3 enfants (13, 12 et 10 ans). C'est une très belle maison sur une belle propriété avec beaucoup de choses à faire à moins de 30 minutes en voiture. En fin de journée après les visites diverses, la piscine et la terrasse étaient parfaites pour se reposer, apprécier la belle vue et goûter aux vins locaux. Il y a tout le necessaire pour passer un superbe séjour en famille. Je recommande vivement cette maison!
Thank you so much, we really are having a wonderful time. The house is so much better and bigger than we expected and full of such lovely furnishing, it really feels like home! We certainly would like to come back next year.
Le chalet est idéalement situé et à proximité de toutes les commodités et activités. Nous avons adoré l’accueil chaleureux de Patrice les bons conseils sur la Vallée et les lieux à ne pas manquer. Le chalet est un havre de paix, parfaitement équipé et intelligemment agencé pour passer d’agréables moments en famille. Des petits aux grands, nous nous sommes sincèrement régalés et chacun y a trouvé son bonheur. Nous avons également apprécié l’attention qui nous était réservée à notre arrivée et avec laquelle nous nous sommes régalés. Nous reviendrons !

We have just returned from Maison de la Mairie. The house is a lovely, spacious and bright family house in a pretty village by the Canal du Midi. The house is well equipped with good quality bedding and towels etc. There is an excellent library so no need to bring reading materials. Outside there is lots of space for sunny or shady meals by the pool. Paraza is well served by a very good village shop and an excellent restaurant situated beside the canal. There is a lot of useful information in the house including walks, drives, restaurants and lo al history. Stephen, our host, was most welcoming and did all he could to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday. Even when he had to return to the UK he arranged for someone to be available should we need help. We have enjoyed a lovely holiday and woulf like to thank Stephen and Susan for sharing their home with us.
Just returned from an outstanding holiday at the Orchard Farmhouse! The pool and grounds were just fantastic - it did help with three days at 30+ degrees! I wanted to say a big thank you again to Pure France for a brilliant week in a great value property. Wonderful holidays in Nissan-Lez-Enserune. We had wonderful holidays there. Location was very convenient, inside the village where shops / market were at walking distance. Our car remained within the property, so no pb to park. We took it only to visit the nearby cities of Narbonne, Gruissan and Béziers (20/30 min ride). The house was clean, with recent works being done and well equiped (nice kitchen and bathrooms). Pool was large, clean and surrounded by beautiful oleanders. We'll consider coming again for sure. Thanks to everyone.
A Perfect Family Retreat – Exceeded Our Expectations! We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa and it truly exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website don’t fully capture the charm and spaciousness of this property. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. La Ferme Éclaircie is brilliantly laid out, offering plenty of open space, which was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. Each room was spotless, tidy and provided ample storage space for all our holiday belongings. The games room was a fantastic bonus, keeping our children entertained during the occasional rainy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible pool. Our three boys absolutely loved it and spent hours splashing around. The gentle slope of the pool was especially helpful for our youngest, who learned to swim during this holiday - an unforgettable milestone for our family. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, which was ideal for both daytime relaxation and evening games as we watched the sun set. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views added to the tranquility of our stay. La Ferme Éclaircie location is perfect for exploring the local area, which offers plenty of activities to keep a family like ours busy. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this villa is a perfect choice. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
La villa était absolument magnifique et située dans un endroit calme comme mentionné dans la description (le seul bruit étant les grillons mais c'était apaisant). L'aménagement de la maison en 3 bâtiments séparés a vraiment fonctionné pour notre groupe familial élargi, en plus de différentes zones dans le jardin dans lesquelles vous pouvez vous asseoir qui permettent aux gens d'avoir un moment de calme si nécessaire. Je recommanderais les restaurants du village, mais sachez qu'ils n'ouvrent pas le lundi. Un séjour très agréable et reposant.
Merci de nous avoir offert deux semaines incroyables dans votre maison. La piscine est l'une des meilleures que nous ayons vues et le jardin est tout simplement magnifique. La villa est joliment décorée et nous l'avons tous trouvée très confortable. Nous avons passé deux belles semaines à explorer les environs, sans une seule minute de télévision ! We spent 10 days with 8 people (children, grandchildren ) and our dog in À Côté de L'O. The summer heat was well tolerated thanks to the pool and air conditioning. The space is even more generous than it appears on the photos. A huge fenced garden right on the Canal. Narbonne, Gruissan, Bages... many beautiful experiences are easy to reach by car. The location in beautiful Le Somail. The early morning round for dog bathing at the Cesse. Shopping fresh croissants and baguettes on the Épicerie - boat. All in all : perfect!
Une merveilleuse semaine passée dans cette magnifique villa. Nous avons passé un moment très agréable à visiter le Château de Monbazillac, Montcaret et Bordeaux. Nous avons tous passé un moment fantastique à la piscine. Les enfants ne voulaient pas en sortir ! Merci à Frédéric pour son accueil chaleureux à notre arrivée. Nous serions ravis de revenir.

We have spent a very happy week here. The house is charming, very comfortable and relaxing. We have loved spending lazy days around the pool, enjoying the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The cafés of Poitiers were worth a visit. Thierry and Véronique have been lovely hosts, thank you.
My recent stay at this charming villa in Duras this summer, was nothing short of exceptional. Accommodation: This lovely and very comfortable villa has a rustic charm and a very tasteful decor. Our rooms were cozy and spacious, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Whether we were lounging along the swimming pool, in the beautifully landscaped garden, or sipping Rosé on the terrace as the sun set over the vineyards, or cooking in a very pleasant and well equipped kitchen, every moment felt like a blissful escape. The attention to detail in every aspect of the villa created an ambiance of warmth and relaxation that was truly unparalleled. Location: The village and the castle of Duras are simply enchanting. Everything is at a waking distance and Duras offers a lot of fun activities : visit of the castle, genuinely impressive medieval jousts., light and sounds spectacles explaining the long and fascinating history of the region projected on the walls of the castle, group hikes in nature, tastings of local (and delicious) food. At night, the village organizes concerts where dancing is more than encouraged! And the traditional open air market is a wonderful experience. There was always something new and fun to discover. I cannot recommend this beautiful gem highly enough and look forward to returning again this summer!
I just wanted to say that we all found your house to be absolutely lovely. Everything we could have hoped for. So many nice touches, you clearly put a lot of thought and no doubt effort into making it a very special place. We especially loved the pool of course, which has such a great design for the little ones with the shallow section, but we loved the whole place. Everyone was very happy there. Many thanks
Une belle semaine en Provence. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour au Mas Paradou. La maison et le cadre s'intègrent parfaitement dans le petit village pittoresque du Paradou. Nous avons adoré la proximité des marchés et nous détendre au bord de la piscine tout en dégustant la cuisine et le vin locaux. C'était génial de pouvoir marcher jusqu'à la boulangerie tous les matins et nous avons adoré dîner à la maison ainsi que dans les restaurants environnants. La cuisine est bien équipée et le poêle Viking est un plus. Le propriétaire était très arrangeant et a fourni de nombreuses informations sur les villages et les marchés environnants. Vous ne pourriez pas choisir un meilleur endroit.
Mas Saint-Martial a tout ce que vous pourriez souhaiter inclus dans le prix et tout était propre et bien rangé à notre arrivée avec un joli panier de bienvenue qui nous attendait. Verteillac est à seulement 10 minutes et a quelques jolies petites boutiques, la région a aussi d'excellents marchés. L'un des meilleurs restaurants que nous ayons trouvés était La Cour des Miracles à Verteillac qui propose une bonne cuisine à un prix très raisonnable. Nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires, qui habitent à côté. Ils étaient toujours disponibles si nous avions besoin de quoi que ce soit, mais très discrets aussi et nous ont laissé une totale intimité.
As you know we have stayed in your house twice. It really is an exceptional property and in terms of facilities, location and aesthetic qualities we could not fault it. The views are fantastic, the pool is perfect and the house itself brimming with character – not to mention that every lamp works, as do the showers and all utensils.
Nous sommes de retour d'une superbe semaine à la Maison Soulette à Thézan-les-Béziers. La maison était exactement comme sur les photos et la description, parfaite pour notre famille. Beaucoup de chambres et de salles de bains, une belle cuisine et un salon confortable. Les terrasses, le jardin et la vue étaient tous magnifiques. Le temps était ensoleillé et chaud, nous avons donc passé de nombreuses journées à paresser au bord de la piscine. Nos filles ont profité pleinement de la piscine chauffée et se sont beaucoup amusées à jouer au tennis de table.
Juste un petit mot pour vous remercier de nous avoir permis de séjourner à la propriété pendant 2 semaines. La maison est très bien équipée avec de nombreuses informations à portée de main. Durant cette semaine nous avons visité Gordes et Châteauneuf-du-Pape. La région est magnifique et nous reviendrons.
