Watch out, as we are definitely starting to feel at home at beautiful Lamolene and surrounds. Thank you so, so much for our wonderful, special break.
It is early spring. My husband and I decide to go to the South of France for a fortnight. Our eye has fallen on La Picholine. It is in the Gard region and close to nice places. Like Uzès, Nîmes, Avignon. What a surprising place on arrival. Two enthusiastic owners, proudly showing off their new domaine. There are two gîtes. A large swimming pool, several terraces and expansive views. Our gîte is very comfortable. Spacious living room with dining kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bedroom is very spacious with good mattresses. Large bathroom with two sinks. As it can be quite chilly in the evening in spring, this cottage has a wood-burning stove with hot air conditioning. It is comfortably warm then. The garden is tastefully decorated. You have your own privacy and that choice is nice. We had a lovely two weeks here and will definitely come back next year. Thank you Esther and Leo for your hospitality.

Cela aura été notre première villa de vacances et vous nous avez gâtés! Nous ne savons pas comment Maison Albarels pourrait être améliorée. Vous avez effectué un fantastique travail de rénovation sur votre maison familiale pour la transformer en charmante villa. Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité, tout spécialement pour le vin, les jus de fruits et les délicieuses cerises. Nous avons adoré Carcassonne - nous nous y sommes rendus une fois en voiture et à une autre occasion à pied, en marchant le long du Canal du Midi à Pezens. Le Château de Pennautier aussi - un Versaillles miniature - est grandiose. Le personnel de la boutique-restaurant était très aimable. Mention spéciale à la charmante dame de la boutique voisine, toujours souriante et aimable.
It seems but a moment since we arrived two weeks ago, but we have had a lovely time. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful company. What a pity we couldn’t come in June, but we are optimistic about next year. It feels much safer here in France than it does in England - we saw much more of Rieux than we have before, and have had some splendid meals. Our favourite is definitely l’Abbaye de Fontfroide, though Relais de Chantovent comes a close second. Until next June.
We have really enjoyed our stay at Le Manoir des Sines. It really is a stunning property.

La Jolie Vue does not only offer a magnificent view on the rolling hills, it was restored with much care and love !we thank you for your outstanding hospitality dare we say friendship. Herman will pick up the guitar again and hopefully we will find time to make music together soon.

Je tiens à vous remercier encore une fois d'avoir partagé avec nous votre magnifique villa et la piscine à débordement (chauffée) d'une beauté indescriptible. C'est vrai, la villa et la piscine sont bien plus belles en réalité que sur les photos. Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dans votre superbe villa et ce fut un grand plaisir de vous rencontrer. Nous reviendrons certainement. Et si vous vous rendez à Zurich, vous devez venir nous rendre visite.
Nous avons loué cette villa plusieurs fois déjà sans jamais être déçus et nos attentes étaient grandes. Le propriétaire a été serviable et la villa est très bien équipée, avec plus d'ustensiles que vous ne pourriez imaginer, d'une propriété impeccable et un mobilier haut de gamme. Une fois encore, merci pour votre excellent service et nous n'hésiterons pas à la relouer à nouveau ni à la recommander à nos amis.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and attentiveness during our week with you. Your property really is the most wonderful place - both to stay and to explore this part of France. The gardens provide both a sense of space and tranquility - the pool and its surrounding terrace is a real sun trap and as the days turn to evening the raised terrace at the front of the property is just ideal for those pre-dinner drinks, enjoying the conversation while soaking up the amazing view across the rolling countryside as the sun goes down - perfect. We particularly loved the atmosphere and seclusion of the rear courtyard and the outdoor kitchen and lounge area was a delight for our al fresco dining! The other beauty of the property is its great location which provides a base for touring around the region - fantastic. We are both looking forward to coming out again ! Thanks again.
Merci pour notre excellent séjour dans votre belle demeure. En plus de la maison, le jardin est également magnifique. Nous avons passé de nombreux jours dans la belle piscine et avons également beaucoup aimé explorer les magnifiques environs, y compris Saumur. Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
Spent a lovely week here, Lived up to all our expectations. Wonderful setting with splendid views. Plenty of room to seat all of us for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in the sun or shade. The house wanted for nothing.
Wow, wow and wow! The views are wonderful with the gorgeous sunsets. The whole family have loved all the facilities, particularly swimming in the multi-coloured lights at night.

Driving down the lane to Maison Bourriette, you know you are on holiday. The farmhouse, set in lovely grounds with views over the countryside, is charming, very comfortable, clean and well equipped. There are markets, hilltop villages and beautiful country walks on the doorstep to explore and then a wonderful warm pool to really unwind! Evenings relaxing by lamplight in the stunning courtyard with wine and friends - memories are made of this!
Very atmospheric, beautifully quiet, well equipped villa. Great pool and ideal for a large family stay. Nice market found 9 km to the left, at the bottom of the hill. Great local scenery, walks and bike rides and easy driving! Pool is fantastic and clean. Lower floor really cool when it gets hot! We've all had a great relaxing time!
Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique et sommes très reconnaissants envers les propriétaires. La maison est belle et très rustique (ce que nous avons adoré) mais bénéficie surtout d'un cadre champêtre époustouflant… encore une fois, nous avons adoré. Les hôtes, Helen et James, sont très gentils et intéressants et ils ont été très serviables lorsque notre voiture a crevé un pneu. La piscine est l'une des plus belles dans lesquelles nous ayons été avec une agréable eau salée et toujours à la bonne température. Un superbe séjour.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. We have just returned from our holiday at your property which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to write to give feedback on our stay as I understand we were the first guests at the property. It was was the exact property we were looking for, in a quiet rural setting with the farm next door and the property itself offered everything we needed. The pool area was particularly well configured, safe for children and practical. It was so relaxing and particularly for my brother who enjoyed three days with us during the break of his six month tour in Afghanistan. It was so perfect we are very tempted to book it again for next year. Please pass our thanks on to all the owners for arranging the child facilities and to Gary and Louise who kept the pool immaculately.
C'est notre second séjour à La Maison Bosquetere. Ce n'est pas sans raison que nous y revenons. Nous y avons à nouveau passé d'agréable vacances. Une belle maison bien équipée dans un endroit agréable. Les équipements sont biens entretenus. Bonne base pour explorer la région. Mais aussi un endroit parfait pour se détendre pendant que les enfants s'amusent dans la piscine.

Cottage du Jardin est magnifiquement entretenu et présente un intérieur magnifique. Ce qui nous a vraiment impressionnés, c'est son emplacement paisible au sein du parc des propriétaires et la piscine paisible où l'on peut se prélasser un après-midi ensoleillé. Le cottage se trouve à environ 5 à 10 minutes à pied du village. Vous y trouverez une petite épicerie proposant de tout pour satisfaire vos besoins, ainsi qu'un restaurant proposant de délicieux repas à des prix très raisonnables. À essayer absolument lors de votre séjour. Si vous préférez faire vos courses, deux grands supermarchés sont à 10 minutes en voiture, sur la route de Montignac. Montignac est une jolie ville avec de charmants restaurants au bord de la rivière. Le cottage est idéalement situé pour visiter les sites touristiques locaux, qu'il s'agisse d'un château comme le Château de Losse ou le Château des Milandes avec ses magnifiques jardins, ou de jolies villes et villages, nos préférés étant Saint-Léon, La Roque-Gageac et Domme. Un ciel bleu magnifique tous les jours avec des températures atteignant 36 degrés un jour. Cela nous a donné l'excuse parfaite pour passer quelques jours à nous prélasser au bord de la piscine et à nous ressourcer dans un cadre magnifique. En résumé, grâce au gîte, à la météo et à des hôtes parfaits, nous avons passé une semaine formidable, mais nous sommes repartis un peu tristes. Cependant, nous savons que nous reviendrons, plus longtemps la prochaine fois, car il y a encore beaucoup à voir dans cette belle région de France. Ce furent vraiment nos meilleures vacances. Lovely retreat set amongst fruit trees. We stayed at Maison Meunier for the middle week of a three week honeymoon in France. After spending the previous week in Paris it was the perfect contrast allowing us to slow the pace down a little and put our feet up. On arrival we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly and helpful offering advice when required. They're based on site but away from the property in the main buildings. The accommodation itself is lovely and really well equipped with everything you could ever need. Outside, the pool is great for cooling off during sunbathing and the view from the terrace is beautiful with quince, apple and fig trees between the property and the nearby lake. We spent most evenings cooking on the barbecue with the fabulous local produce we picked up from the market or supermarket. Nearby there are a number of châteaux to explore and also traditional bastide towns to wander round and grab a coffee or cold glass of champagne. All in all, a lovely stay at a lovely place. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La villa a répondu à tous nos besoins et le jardin fut une pure joie. En fait, elle est en réalité encore plus belle que sur les photos du site internet. Ce fut un séjour parfait pour nous qui recherchions calme et privacité. La localisation est idéale, proche de l'animation de la côte méditerranéenne.
