Great feeling of space with plenty of room for children to play. Pool was superb and much used. The childrens swimming skills improved immensely. Thank you Takayla for lovely food and for accommodating late arrival and intolerances. Nick and Takayla were available and friendly without being intrusive. A fantastic time was had by all the family. Many thanks and looking forward to next year already.
We have just returned from our holiday at your property which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to write to give feedback on our stay as I understand we were the first guests at the property. It was was the exact property we were looking for, in a quiet rural setting with the farm next door and the property itself offered everything we needed. The pool area was particularly well configured, safe for children and practical. It was so relaxing and particularly for my brother who enjoyed three days with us during the break of his six month tour in Afghanistan. It was so perfect we are very tempted to book it again for next year. Please pass our thanks on to all the owners for arranging the child facilities and to Gary and Louise who kept the pool immaculately.
C'était en effect un appartement de première classe, dans un superbe emplacement avec une belle vue sur la mer. Corinne et son mari éraient des hôtes parfaits: avec d'excellentes communications avant notre arrivée, puis ils ont été accueillants, sympathiques et très serviables pendant notre séjour, sans jamais être intrusifs. Nous avons apprécié l'intérieur moderne impeccable de l'appartement, la terrasse et toutes les petites attentions apportées par Corinne; nous avons profité de la proximité de nombreux restaurants et de la possibilité de nous promener de long du front de mer - ainsi que de profiter de la piscine sur le toit, de la plage et de la marina avec son ambiance unique. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir et je recommande fortement.
The gite is beautifully furnished and very comfortable, the hosts Kirstie and Russell have made sure you have everything you need for your break. There is a lovely private seating area outside with dining area, hot tub and patio which looks out onto the orchard and fields. Wonderful place to stay in a great location for visiting local vineyards and historical towns and villages.
Thanks for a truly wonderful week. The house, garden and pool are really fabulous. We had a wonderfully relaxing time and didn't do as much exploring as we should have done as we couldn't tear ourselves away from the garden / pool. Don't miss Friday evening in Pézenas with the high street market, food, wine and music.
Une belle propriété, qui est très bien équipée et qui est très bien agencée même pour notre groupe de 6 personnes.
Nous avons passé une semaine très reposante ici. Les enfants ont passé 90 % de leurs journées dans la piscine ! Quelques sorties, une au marché d'Olonzac et à la plage, mais les meilleures journées ont été passées à la villa. Vues époustouflantes et si paisibles. J'ai apprécié cuisiner les dîners, la cuisine a tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Départ vers le nord dans le camping-car demain pour continuer nos vacances mais le luxe de la villa nous manquera.
House and grounds are fantastic! Excellent facilities. The pools and toys have been lots of fun. We've had such a good week. It's just gone too quickly. We will definitely be recommending the château.
We came as guests and leave as friends. Absolutely love your place. Future guests are lucky to get the experience we have had.
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!
The highlights for me were swimming lengths in the warm pool, strolling around the beautiful garden with all the different types of trees (olive, fig, pomegranate etc) and exploring the delightful surrounding Provence countryside in its full glory. Despite being a large group of people, the house always felt cool and spacious and the amenities functioned perfectly. There is also a marvellous restaurant within walking distance. Thank you again for making my holiday so enjoyable.
Nous avons adoré la Maison de la Calade. Une belle villa dans un endroit magnifique avec une vue imprenable. Un cinq étoiles de notre part. Joliment décorée et meublée, d'une propreté impeccable (nous avons rencontré les femmes de ménage à notre arrivée qui étaient adorables, accueillantes et très serviables) très bien approvisionnée en termes de tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin. Nous avions un groupe de plusieurs âges et il y en avait pour tous les goûts, de la place pour discuter ensemble lorsque nous le voulions mais de nombreux recoins pour s'échapper. La piscine de taille magnifique dans le joli jardin a été un énorme succès dans la chaleur d'août. Biot, bien qu'en haut d'une colline, n'est qu'à un jet de pierre et regorge de bons restaurants - nous aimerions revenir un jour.
Stayed for over a week. Stunning view from the terrace. Perfectly sized pool. Good rooms with air conditioning.
Three night weekend stay with friends. Very comfortable accommodation decorated to a high standard. Upstairs kitchen, lounge and patio looked over the pool. Brilliant. It was Bastille weekend and World Cup final. Lots going on in village square, bars and restaurants. Beach about 20 minutes drive - really nice with excellent restaurant. Shops and supermarket close by were very helpful. Visited Béziers and Narbonne about 30 minutes drive. Well worth the trip We had a great time and will definitely go back again!

You could not wish for more in a holiday accommodation. Everything about this place is perfect – the warm welcome by the hosts, the beautifully designed and furnished gite, the very special location and brilliant views over vineyards, forest and softly rolling hills, the helpful recommendations from Esther and Leonard. We only have one regret – and that is that we didn’t stay long enough.
Many thanks for arranging our rental of Le Chambarru in Blauzac, it is a tremendous house and we had a very good holiday with our friends from the USA. We enjoyed meeting the owners.
La maison est magnifique, on s'y sent comme à la maison, la cuisine est entièrement équipée pour toutes les éventualités. Nous avons bien dormi dans des lits confortables et apprécié le magnifique jardin. Merci Sharon d'avoir recommandé le bar local pour les repas - nous y avons passé une nuit fantastique et quelques verres d'après-midi farniente aussi ! Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing two weeks. We have loved getting to know this part of France (and it’s wine!), playing boules in the garden and watching all the birds. We particularly enjoyed the Grand Cafe Occitane and the beaches at Leucate. Your attention to detail and the warm welcome made us feel immediately at home and we really appreciated the pool being kept so clean.

I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. Went to this beautiful holiday cottage for the second time. What a great experience again this time. We were warmly welcomed and our house felt like coming home again. Host and hostess Leo and Esther gave us great tips so that our holiday became a great experience again. The visit to Nîmes was impressively beautiful. I especially recommend visiting Avignon to everyone with its beautiful center and the cozy terraces around the market square. The swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is a pearl. The silence descends on you wonderfully in the evening. Truly unique. Thank you for another great holiday.
We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Manoir Coutenson. The spacious and well maintained accommodation met the needs of our party of 15 perfectly, ranging from ages 1 to 85. The accommodation was even nicer than shown in the photos, as the sitting room had been refurbished. We particularly loved the on site activities (table tennis, pétanque, pool etc) and the sitting area by the pool! There were many thoughtful touches, including toys for younger children, board games and a well stocked kitchen. The site managers were on hand to help with any queries and advise on places to visit. The Manoir is well located close to Casteljaloux for supermarket, shops, market etc and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. We’d certainly love to stay here again!
