Fabulous building, views, in-house facilities. I'm sure this will be one of the most sought-after holiday villas in the area. We have had a lovely holiday.
What an amazing week in a stunning home. The house is exquisitely designed and the attention to detail is fantastic. The views are beautiful and the area so quiet and peaceful. I slept in one of the bedrooms on the ground floor and had the best night's sleep I've had for years… the mattress is heavenly. Not many people can lie in bed watching red squirrels leaping through the surrounding trees can they! The small kitchen area on the ground floor along with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms means the whole floor can be very separate and quiet if two families were to share the house. The middle floor is a great entertaining space with a spotless and very modern kitchen with dining / living area leading out to the garden and pool. It was a real treat to have the local bar / restaurant within a short walking distance. It's very easy to sit and enjoy the local wine! The one thing I hadn't bargained for was the abundance of wildlife, although with the roads being so quiet I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. The red squirrels and deer can be seen from the balconies and fantastic infinity pool overlooking the valley. The cushions for the outdoor furniture are very comfy. Once again, there are various areas to sit / eat and enjoy the garden if different age groups or families stay here. So to sum it all up…a fab holiday home in beautiful surroundings – 10 / 10. PS If you attempt the puzzle in the games cupboard… start it as soon as you arrive because it's tricky but irresistible!
Thank you, what an amazing holiday we’ve had in your wonderful house, from the swimming pool to the table tennis room and family boule tournaments, we’ve had great fun. We loved. We loved swimming in the river in Nyons and the massive markets. A lovely windy trip up to mount Ventoux with amazing views and cheering on the cyclists!. Vaison la romaine was a nice morning out with the Roman remains and finally a quick wine tasting (and purchase) at Domaine du Tave with Audrey finished it off nicely. Thanks again,
Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette belle villa. Prendre un bain de soleil au bord de la piscine, nager et faire de l'escalade (ce ne sont seulement quelques-unes des choses que nous avons faites). Nous espérons revenir l'année prochaine.
The chteau is beautiful. Great house for our group of 10 adults and 8 children. lots of room for all of us to be comfortable. Amazing pool and lovely grounds. Kitchen is well equipped.. It is an old property and is well lived in but that isn’t a problem.
Notre famille de 4 personnes (2 adultes, 2 enfants) a passé un moment fabuleux à explorer Sarlat et la Dordogne depuis cette base formidable. La maison est parfaitement située et la piscine est une aubaine après une journée complète de visites. Je recommanderais vivement cette propriété, mais il nous sera alors plus difficile de réserver à nouveau.
La maison est parfaitement équipée, propre et situé dans un quartier assez calme.
The house is pleasant and the host is welcoming. There is space for a large group. It is easy to park in front of the house and there is also an option to park in the garden. Well located, you can buy bread on the houseboat across the bridge and the bookstore is a must!
Ma famille (4 personnes) a séjourné dans cette maison à plusieurs reprises depuis que les enfants sont bébés et c'est la maison idéale pour passer des vacances avec une autre famille. La maison dégage une atmosphère merveilleuse et détendue et est toujours accueillante et fraîche après une chaude journée de visites dans la jolie campagne. La piscine et les jardins sont magnifiques. Entre le badminton sur la pelouse, le ping-pong dans la grange, les repas paresseux dehors dans la cour et la détente au bord de la piscine, il est possible pour toute la famille d'être bien occupée toute la journée.

Très tristes de partir après un séjour merveilleux au Château du Pic de Rigaud. L'emplacement est fantastique avec d'incroyables villages historiques à proximité. C'est de loin la propriété la plus propre dans laquelle nous ayons séjourné au cours des 20 dernières années de vacances en France - grâce à Henrietta et Peter. La piscine était également la meilleure que nous ayons utilisée - la seule recommandation serait des toilettes plus proches de la piscine ! Nous aimerions revenir un jour !
Juste pour vous dire que nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette propriété et que nos attentes ont été largement dépassées.
We stayed here during early August. The property is out in the countryside and provided a very welcome quite location for a relaxing vacation. The property has character, built in traditional stone and has extensive grounds to explore. There is a wonderful view of the Château de Biron from the front of the property. The château is well worth a visit and if you climb to the top you can pick out the property in the distance. The pool is fantastic and we spent many hours by and in the pool. We had great fun playing water volleyball. The house has all amenities that you want, although the Wi-Fi can be slow, but this has to be expected out in the country as I explained to my children! If staying here in the summer, take a walk just before sunset, out the drive and turn left. Just down the road you will catch some great sunsets and you are likely to see lots of deer at the same time. Visit Monpazier a few miles away. It's a great place to find a restaurant and wonder around this beautiful bastide town.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. L’appartement est très agréable, lumineux, très bien équipé. La grande terrasse avec vue sur le petit port et la mer est au top, avec le bruit des cigales. L’espace de vie est très lumineux et agréable à vivre. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Les commerces de proximité, dont un grand Géant Casino, sont accessibles en voiture, sur Beaulieu, à 5 minutes en voiture. Même si l’accès à la gare et au bus est assez simple, privilégiez la voiture… ou le bateau, car le port est en bas de l’immeuble.
Simply a wonderful holiday, house and village We're just back from spending a week in this fabulous house in a great little village. The house had everything to make our stay totally comfortable with loads of space for our party of two couples and could have accommodated two or three more people easily. The pool and pool area were great with plenty of loungers and seating with a nice shaded area for refuge from the sun at the hight of the afternoon but best of all there is a great terrace where we spent the warm evenings with a glass or three of our favourite tipple. We were able to join in the fun and celebrations in the local bars as France progressed in the World Cup, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The village itself has all we would want bakeries, a couple of bars and restaurants with pretty good food and all just 1 to 2 minutes walk from the house, there is even a good supermarket 5 minutes walk away. All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to go back next year, 5 stars from us.
Une villa merveilleuse et un hôte formidable. Nous avons passé des vacances incroyables à la Maison des Communes et visité les environs. Délicieux repas au restaurant de la Tour et Pica Pica à Béziers. Un peu de vélo agréable et beaucoup de détente au bord de la piscine (la piscine a été parfaitement entretenue par l'hôte). La livraison du petit-déjeuner était aussi un vrai régal ! Merci.
Thank you very much indeed for renting your beautiful property to us for the past fortnight. My husband and I have been renting houses in France from time to time over the past thirty years. We are both agreed that Chez Pascale is the best and most generously equipped house that we have ever experienced. The setting, too, is delightful and so peaceful and quiet - a welcome change from our noisy city lives. We visited some of the local attractions which we enjoyed and agree that Sarlat, Domme and the surrounding villages and towns are justly famous for their scenic beauty and unique architecture as well as the local gastronomy. Our family members have now returned to their separate homes, but we will all retain some very happy memories of our holiday together in lovely Chez Pascale. Thank you, once more.
Great holiday. Great accommodation, fantastic hosts, wonderful holiday. A very impressive château in huge grounds make this a great venue to relax and unwind. Each room has a unique character and there is a huge kitchen. Highly recommended.
We loved staying here. Domaine du Château is full of character and very comfortable. With the giant wine press in the dining room and the vines across the lane, you certainly know you are in Burgundy. We really liked the mix of antique French furniture and original contemporary art works, so nicely done. The kitchen is beautiful and really well equipped and the market in Beaune is amazing for fantastic local produce. Apart from driving through all the famous vineyards and going wine tasting, we really enjoyed visiting the château at Rochepot and the ancient market at Nolay. The countryside is very pretty and great for walking, but best of all, was just sitting drinking wine on the terrace, enjoying the wonderful view and tranquillity. We booked the Eurostar to Le Creusot which made the journey really easy and quick. You can pick 'up a hire car' at the station and then it's just a short drive down quiet country roads which felt a world away from London. Would definitely recommend!

Your phenomenal standards of taste, quality and style are equally matched by your meticulous understanding of your holiday guests' practical needs during their stay. We have experienced self-catering holidays in many areas of France for some four decades and, without doubt, you are in a premier league of your own! The warmth of your welcome and hospitality have all combined to create for us a truly wonderful holiday and Minervois experience. Fabulously 'well done' to both of you - and 'thank you!' We have just enjoyed one of our best holidays ever and your outstanding charm and conviviality have contributed so much. Nous avons séjourné ici trois semaines. Pour la première semaine, notre famille nous a rejoint: nos trois fils et conjoints. Cette maison regorge de beaux objets et nous avons adoré y être. Nous avons apprécié les beaux cadeaux de pâtisseries et de pain apportés par Philippe. Merci aussi pour le repas incroyable qui comprenait un gâteau pour mon 70e anniversaire. Nous sommes allés à la ville fortifiée de Carcassonne qui vaut bien une visite. Nous sommes allés à la plage et notre balade a été charmante. Nous sommes tristes de partir et le chant des oiseaux nous manquera. Je crains que le chat n'ait pas été accueilli par nos deux carlins et qu'il ait été chassé. La dégustation de vin à St. Chinian était incroyable. Nous avons acheté des bouteilles de vin avec des étiquettes incroyablement belles, la cave était décorée avec de si belles œuvres d'art. La visite en vaut la peine. Merci pour le vin de dégustation et pour cette recommandation.

Semaine fantastique. C'était un vrai plaisir de pouvoir se balader. Nous avons beaucoup aimé le Graud d'Agde, St Guillem Le Désert et Collioure, l'Hacienda à Pézenas et le marché à proximité, les excellents Violis sur la plage. Il y a tout pour passer de bonnes vacances à proximité de la propriété.
À l'arrivée, nous avons reçu un accueil des plus chaleureux de la part des propriétaires, Caterina et Steve, rien n'était trop leur demander. Nous avons séjourné dans de nombreux beaux lieux au fil des ans, mais cet endroit est vraiment spécial et un parfait petit bijou... l'intérieur est magnifiquement soigné avec de nombreux détails bien pensés, des fleurs fraîches aux bâtons d'encens... Caterina garde l'endroit impeccable, et comme neuf, un second chez-soi! Steve travaille dur pour maintenir la piscine et les jardins en parfait état, ce que nous avons vraiment apprécié. Nous avions séjourné en famille dans la ville voisine de Sarlat avant notre arrivée, ce qui était plutôt mouvementé, et nous avions hâte de nous détendre et de pouvoir décompresser... côté détente et tranquillité, cet endroit est difficile à battre, l'emplacement est fabuleux, et nous reviendrions de suite!
I'd like to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your amazing cottage Maison Bourg Calès. It was simply beautiful and my family and I absolutely loved every second of our stay. The weather was brilliant and there aren't enough words to describe how stunning your cottage is. We would definitely stay there again and will highly recommend it to any friends. Once more thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.

We had a very good stay at La Ferme Éclaircie which met all our expectations. We were very grateful for the initial supplies ( tea, coffee, wine , orange juice, loo paper etc ) which make a huge difference. The information pack - which was really useful. The maps. And the house was delightfully furnished and well supplied. We loved the area.
Beautifully renovated, well equipped house, ideal for family / friends gathering. Three quite separate sets of 2 double/ twin bedrooms with en-suites and seating areas, so plenty of privacy. Well equipped kitchen (loads of fridge space) and separate bar / fridge/ dishwasher area. Plenty of seating and dining space both inside and out on two terraces. Kids loved the pool and outside space, playing volley ball in the garden. We enjoyed the views and quiet surroundings. My parents enjoyed the local towns and villages; and the cakes! Daily cleaning included by lovely housekeeper/ gardener who live next door. We didn't know they were there except when we needed them. The area is beautiful if you have the energy to travel, Beaune and Dijon are worth a visit and the nearby Couches with a lovely château has a delicious Patisserie / Boulangerie. We took the train from Chagny to Beaune to visit the Hospice and enjoyed a wine tasting. There are lots of vineyards to visit and taste at, we wished we'd organised some tours before we arrived as the owners can advise on this. You will not be disappointed booking this house, we have stayed in many houses in France over the last 30 years and this is undoubtedly the loveliest. We hope to return.
