First things first - Karen, Russell and the girls (Mack and Mabel) are wonderful hosts. Warm, friendly, thoughtful and yet discreet. They love what they're doing and it shows as nothing is too much trouble. Their enthusiasm for their ventures (current and future) is infectious. Secondly is the 'Loft du Vigneron' - a fabulous property offering everything - and more - that you could hope for. Karen and Russell's sense of style has been imprinted on it and their attention to detail has left nothing wanting. Every comfort has been considered from the fabulous welcoming pack to 'The White Company' range of toiletries. The terrace was our favourite place with the sun streaming through the roof and the warm breeze cooling us down. Rieux-Minervois is a typical French village and perfectly situated to explore the entire Minervois region from Carcassonne in the West, East to the Mediterranean, and all the lovely historical villages North and South. In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful property with the perfect hosts - highly recommended without hesitation. Our very best wishes for every success in you new venture. We have enjoyed two wonderful week here with cloudless skies and beautiful evenings. Amongst our favourite outings were nearby Villedieu, a beautiful spot for a lunchtime stop at the cafe du centre or the exceptional bistro de Villedieu, we also visited Gigondas with its magical views and charming square, Vaison la romaine is a stunning town especially the old part. We also enjoyed wondering around Nyons following the route through the spectacular medieval arches, chapel and church.
Merci de nous avoir accueillis dans cette magnifique maison. Cette dernière nous a permis de nous ressourcer et d’apprécier la campagne et ses alentours. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans cette belle région!
Je vais préfacer cet avis en précisant que notre grande famille a loué un certain nombre de châteaux au fil des ans, nous avons donc de quoi comparer ! Sans aucun doute, ce château offrait le meilleur rapport qualité-prix que nous ayons jamais trouvé. Notre groupe de 18 personnes a utilisé les 10 chambres proposées, sans que personne n'ait à faire de compromis sur l'espace de la chambre. La cuisine était assez grande pour accueillir toute le groupe avec suffisamment de plan de travail et un grand îlot. Pour une fois, nous avons trouvé beaucoup d'ustensiles de cuisine et de casseroles de taille professionnelle, etc. Il y a trois réfrigérateurs, nous avons utilisé le grand réfrigérateur pour la nourriture et les deux réfrigérateurs sous le comptoir pour les boissons «adultes» et enfants. Le salon-salle à manger est immense et confortable, avec des jeux de bonne qualité disponibles, notamment des échecs et du backgammon. La piscine est parmi les plus grandes que nous ayons jamais utilisées avec un bassin profond dans lequel vous pouvez réellement plonger. À certains moments, nous avions une douzaine de personnes dans la piscine et nous avions encore de la place pour nager. Il y a deux terrasses principales, toutes deux pouvant facilement accueillir au moins 20 personnes. De plus petits espaces salons sont disséminés sur le terrain, donc si vous y êtes enclin, vous pouvez vous retirer pour un peu de paix et de tranquillité. Il y a un barbecue de très bonne qualité sur la terrasse arrière avec un plateau à charbon mobile, ce qui signifie que vous pouvez augmenter la source de chaleur lorsque le charbon brûle. Nous avons pu faire un barbecue pendant 18 heures sur un demi-sac de morceaux de bois. Notre groupe avait 5 voitures, l'allée était assez grande pour qu'elles puissent être garées afin que tout le monde puisse sortir du château sans avoir besoin de déplacer un autre véhicule. Gardant le meilleur pour la fin, la salle de sport/salle de jeux est magnifique. Avec un terrain de badminton pleine grandeur, un panier de basket-ball, 2 tables de tennis de table, un baby-foot, un jeu de fléchettes et une table de billard pleine grandeur, tout notre groupe avait de nombreuses activités parmi lesquelles choisir. Cette installation était constamment utilisée pour les éliminatoires d'une semaine, y compris notre propre événement de type décathlon. La pudeur m'empêche de révéler qui était le meilleur joueur de billard. De notre point de vue, cette vaste gamme d'installations et d'activités a fourni les ingrédients parfaits à nos premières vacances où nous n'avions pas à divertir les enfants. Enfin un endroit où ils peuvent vraiment s'amuser. Enfin, Richard et Nicky étaient des hôtes parfaits, nous n'aurions pas pu être mieux reçus.
What a fantastic holiday we have had! Every aspect has been superb. We both agree (and that's unusual!) that this is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is superb and your warmth and hospitality has been much appreciated. We shall look forward to a return visit.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines fantastiques et la maison a très bien fonctionné pour nous tous avec autant d'espace et tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour passer de merveilleuses vacances. C'est un endroit magnifique et nous avons tous réussi à nous occuper entre la natation, la marche, le vélo, l'équitation, les vignobles et en particulier les marchés du soir. Nous avons vraiment passé de merveilleuses vacances.

Mostly enjoying the weather and pool! We have seen the red squirrel, lizards, water vole and many birds. It's so peaceful and beautiful, we will miss it.

Very nice accommodation. Host is very friendly. Maison Joigneaux is a perfect place to stay when visiting the region. We couldn't have wished for a better place to spend our extended weekend with friends.
Perfect for a relaxing holiday. First impressions were better than the photographs. We wanted a relaxing family holiday after a very hectic year and that is what we experienced. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful but left you completely alone unless you needed something. The villa itself is spotless, beautifully laid out and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Outside is incredibly peaceful and we spend the majority of our time by the pool.. Yet although it feels beautifully isolated it is in fact only minutes from shops and lotes of things to see and dol Will definitely return if we are able.
Quelle semaine incroyable dans une maison merveilleuse ! Nous avons apprécié une excursion à Jonzac et à St Georges de Didonne, mais nous avons surtout passé du temps dans la maison avec tout ce qu'elle a à offrir. Salle de jeux pour les parties de ping-pong en famille, la température de la piscine était fabuleuse et la maison elle-même très spacieuse et confortable. Merci pour le panier de bienvenue, la très bonne communication avant notre séjour et pour nous avoir permis de profiter de ce havre de paix !
La villa a été entièrement rénovée, très bien conçue et équipée. Elle est située dans un petit village à seulement quelques kilomètres de Pézenas. Quartier calme et reposant. Excellent séjour.

Mission accomplished, we came for a week to rest in a family holiday and we are sad to leave. One week was not enough! Thank you for answering our few requests and we love your villa! The A/C is perfect, beds are great. All the games available and even managed to read 2 books! The ice machine, the 3 ovens... All wa perfect! Happy summer. All the best.
We've had a blissful week here. The house is beautifully and very stylishly renovated and is extremely comfortable and easy to live in. The surrounding environment is stunning. We've loved picking fresh figs straight from the tree breakfast and getting to know the local wines.
Visiting Le Mas Pouget was like releasing a long exhalation of breath and with it, the stresses of day-to-day life. The house, as mentioned in the other review here, is indescribable. It is an oasis of cool and calm, in a basin of trees and regional wildlife, which soothes the soul. It is a stunning part of the planet and felt like a special, secret place that remains unspoiled. The accommodation is fantastic. Quirky and comfortable, with many social spaces to enjoy your party's company as well as quiet places to escape to when you need time alone. We were seven adults and two children (aged 2 and 7) and all got along famously over the course of our 10 days, thanks to the space provided. Frederic, Virginie and Laure literally could not have been more helpful. We had all manner of questions and they were incredibly receptive and responsive, helping us with any queries and genuinely friendly with it. We think everybody needs this place/space in their lives ;-) Thank you for a wonderful and very memorable holiday.

Beautiful house, view and garden with high trees and flowers in a quiet area. Nice shaded lounge area with comfortable sofas for 8 people. We all loved this house even if it’s far away from bakery and shopping.
Absolutely gorgeous house. Périgueux and Saint-Émilion were both charming - wonderful food, too. Weather has been idyllic and the swimming pool and loungers were a perfect way to relax. We will greatly miss this house and take with us very happy memories of our holiday here.
Une beau point de chute pour nos 2 semaines! L'espace extérieur couvert + la cuisine étaient super. Nous avons passé la majeure partie de notre séjour à observer la faune incroyable! Nous avons vu des cerfs, des lézards, des buses et même pu voir les oisillons nichant au-dessus de la porte des toilettes extérieures quitter le nid! Monflanquin était magnifique ! Cathy + Stéphane étaient adorables + nous avons adoré regarder la voiture 2 CV de Stéphane rouler! Merci.

The hosts have thought of every comfort. A fantastic base from which to explore this part of France. It was difficult to draw yourself away from the beautiful garden and pool. We stayed with them many times when they managed to create yet another little haven at their new base in France!
Perfect stay. A very high quality renovation where stone blends with wood and contemporary furniture. A huge and ideal porch for dinner, barbecue and admire the countryside and hillsides on one side and a pool enchanted in this "Provencal farmhouse" on the other. Very high quality amenities and bedding. The sober and neat decoration with touches of contemporary art ensures a soothing balance and conducive to rest. A spacious cathedral living room with a stunning solid wood table. Here and there, small details in the amenities and decor (a special mention in the toilet of the master suite, I'll let you discover it). In addition, Christophe is very friendly and very attentive to his hosts. In short, this stay in the countryside between two seas delighted us all.

En déplacement professionnel pour 3 jours , j'ai découvert un logement très agréable et deux personnes magnifiques , Merci encore a David et kirstie pour leur accueille et le gentillesse . Hi future guest, The couple who own the property have poured so much love into every corner of the beautiful. home that you can feel it when you stay there. The place is so much more cosy and beautifully designed than the pictures give the impression. During our stay we said we wanted to listen to music and asked if there were speakers onsite. Karen and Russell said there wasn't but then went out and bought a pair for us to use! At one point we were cooking and I borrowed some olive oil, curry powder and a chilli pepper. I wanted to get a guitar and they told me where a fabulous music shop was and I ended up purchasing a beautiful guitar. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt beyond welcome. The place is a bit like a fairytale place, and they made our stay beyond what we imagined. It is an oasis and a sanctuary and close to many nearby sites such as Château de Rene and others. Highly recommend staying here.
We spent a truly magical and wonderfully memorably week at Maison Tilleul last summer. It was everything we dreamed of. Stunning grounds, modern facilities, beautiful décor and every amenity you could need. The village is peaceful and picturesque. The countryside was quintessentially French. The historic and geographical wonders that provide endless options for afternoon drives or day trips, were all worth every minute driving through the vineyards and mountain passes that the region offers in abundance. There are wonderful restaurants and bars within walking distance and short drives. We had a spectacular evening watching the sun set with a cocktail at Côté Resto set amongst the vines of Domaine Gayda, followed by exquisite cuisine and a buoyant atmosphere. We sampled traditional Blanquette at the atmospheric Abbaye Saint-Hilaire. Explored the impressive Gorges de Saint-Georges and mountain villages. The Cathar castles and ancient city of Minerve, were stunning and like nothing I’ve seen before, both in scale and the history associated with them. I have visited the Languedoc for years, but Le Parc made it a year like no other. Thank you for the privilege – memories have been made and will be treasured.
Nous avons passé un week end entre amis juste incroyable chez Villa Campredon. Villa Campredon est neuve, magnifiquement construite et très bien pensée. La cuisine est ultra équipée, vous êtes comme chez vous. Chaque chambre possède sa salle de bains ce qui est très appréciable. Merci à vous Christophe pour l’accueil, et bravo pour votre rénovation. Nous vous recommandons pleinement de séjourner dans ce havre de paix.
We had the most wonderful time at Villa La Baronne. I think our children spent most of their time in the pool. Beautifully decorated house with plenty of space for all our family.
It's hard to know where to start with this wonderful home, the inside and outside are so special its impossible to choose a 'best bit'! I didn't know this part of France at all and whilst it was a wonderful discovery, the château itself stands head and shoulders above its surroundings (literally) with his jaw dropping views. 360 degrees of rolling hills, almost no building in sight and just the sheep and their charming bells the only signs of neighbours. The pictures simply can't do it justice. The house itself is extremely luxurious in its proportions and furnishings. The main difference to other holiday homes is that it is so evidently a comfortable home. We had one rainy day on our trip and the excuse to be inside for the evening with the fire and comfortable sofa's was a great treat. The mixed accommodation is wonderful, with the farm house next to the château and the two charming cottages in the grounds. Very much one for a gang of friends or large family. The owners provide some brilliant suggestions on what to do when venturing further afield - should you want to! But there seem to be endless possibilities, in our brief 10 days we discovered so much and feel we could happily come back every year for 10 years and still be finding new spots. The castle at Foix is an absolute must for children and for adults, if you don't want to go parachuting after your market trip to beautiful Mirepoix the Michelin restaurant 8 minutes away in Camon is a must. But equally with the tennis court, heated pool, choice of terraces to eat on, chapel, lake and boat it would be entirely possible to spend a happy week going no where at all. Perhaps apart from a trip down the drive to Olivier and Marielle's informal shop. Heaven.
