La villa a été tout ce que nous espérions et bien plus encore. L’hébergement est superbe, tout comme les équipements. Quel plaisir de pouvoir bénéficier des livraisons de petit-déjeuner (à choisir et commander). Le gâteau au citron était délicieux. Nous recommandons vivement le marché du mardi à Clairac. Notre semaine a été TRÈS CHAUDE – nous avons donc bien profité de la magnifique piscine. Nous avons aimé nous promener et faire du vélo jusqu’à Mauvezin. Les commerçants y étaient tous très sympathiques et accueillants. La villa était parfaite pour notre famille de 8 personnes. Nous la recommandons sans hésiter. We wanted to find a location that provided peace and tranquillity and allow us all to pause for a while. We sought comfort, privacy and nature and found it all and more at La Metairie de Mespoule. We have just spent two wonderful weeks in late July and early August under the life giving sun of South Western France. We explored the beautiful villages, we ate in a raft of superb restaurants and we came back each day to the enjoy the tranquillity offered by the Metairie. The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday, the kitchen / living area is perfectly appointed and the outside terrace much used by us all. The naturally heated pool is an inspired choice and proved to be very popular with us all as did the BBQ area, the table tennis and an evening game of pétanque on the gravelled driveway. Catherine and Jono are perfect hosts offering as much or as little support and guidance as required – we opted for a private wine tour which was fabulous. We give the strongest of recommendations for anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing holiday.

Belle villa, piscine fabuleuse! Nous avons adoré notre séjour à la Maison de Saint-Jean. La villa est grande, belle et fraîche (le temps était CHAUD !) et extrêmement bien équipée. Les lits, en particulier, sont super confortables et nous avons vraiment apprécié les petites attentions supplémentaires, comme des piles de grandes serviettes de piscine à motif de lézard (en plus de serviettes de bain blanches et douces pour tout le monde), de magnifiques savons dans les salles de bain et une vaste gamme de cuisine équipement (dont des couteaux tranchants - hourra ! - et une machine à café). La piscine est de bonne taille (assez longue pour nager des longueurs "correctes") et c'était agréable de se baigner dans de l'eau douce et salée, plutôt que dans le chlore habituel à forte odeur. Nos ados ont adoré la table de ping-pong (et nous avons adoré qu'elle soit dans la cour, loin de nous !), l'énorme pouf, l'excellente connexion Wi-Fi et (nous avons honte) les chaînes de la BBC à la télé. Le restaurant du village (littéralement à 15 pas) est super - vraiment sympathique, bonne cuisine - et il y a beaucoup d'autres bons endroits pour manger dans les villes voisines (une fois que vous avez déterminé lesquels sont fermés quels jours - chacun est différent!). Je recommande vivement cette villa - nous ne pouvons honnêtement pas penser à une seule chose qui manquerait - et le très beau paysage qui l'entoure.
We had an amazing stay at your wonderful house. The setting was wonderful and we had a truly relaxing time. The scenery was a joy. We also liked the beautiful village / hamlet with such a wonderful church. We met many French people who were exceptionally friendly. We cooked with all the fresh produce from the markets and ate outside surrounded by hay bales! Thank you for such an amazing week.
Dear owners of Le Grand Mas de Valcros. We have just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying in your home. From the pictures we knew it was going to be a nice villa. However when we walked in we realised it gem! There is really nothing we did not like about your house. Its feels like home to us after one week and it made our family vacation even more precious. We certainly hope to be back in the future!

This is the most wonderful place to have a family holiday; beautifully furnished, spotless, spacious and as peaceful as you could possibly hope a holiday to be. The pool is glorious, we spent hours playing table tennis, had wonderful meals on the big table outside and we watched the stars at night time. In the local area are vineyards, beautiful mediaeval towns and castles and lots of lovely food to be found in markets. It’s a perfect place for a happy holiday.
With roses around the door Cascaret has exceeded all expectations.
Merci d'avoir fait du Domaine de Nérige un si bel endroit où séjourner, nous y avons passé un moment fabuleux. Le temps, la nourriture et les divertissements, tout était fantastique. Nous n'avons jamais voulu sortir et n'avons fait que remplir le frigo. J'espère revenir avec plus d'amis et de famille si je peux et partager l'expérience avec eux. En attendant la prochaine fois.
Malardier est la plus belle des maisons, située dans un cadre magnifique. Nous avons tous apprécié notre séjour de deux semaines - nous nous sommes régalés et amusés. Un grand merci à Richard et Gay.
Amazing house for outside living ,lots of BBQs and rose on the terrace. Our outdoors loved the walk through the woods and we enjoyed the local markets. Highly recommend L’Effet Maison restaurant in Monflanquin – fantastic food and great wine. Look forward to a new pool side! Thanks for having us!
Our 2nd visit to Mas de Lozanne and it certainly didn't disappoint. The extreme heat curtailed some outings, but the pool area was a haven! We still managed daily coffees in Café d'Art and a couple of early evening drinks. We made good use of the barbecue. Pezanas keeps on giving and this house, nestled in the vines, is a delight! We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...
After months of searching for the perfect 'retreat' we arrived at Le Presbytère! Exactly what we envisioned for our first trip to France with out kids. We have so enjoyed the pool, pond and of course, the whole place. We visited every bastide and market and cooked to our hearts content. Such an exquisite spot - we know the area very well - but rarely left this spot; instead played games, spotted frogs and foxes and explored every inch of this 'fab' property. Perhaps a X-mas visit next?! Many thanks for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to return soon. Gary and Louise were great - close at hand but unintrusive.
It hardly seems two minutes since we were here in the summer - time goes so fast! As ever, we have had a lovely time and have had some splendid lunches at all our favourite restaurants. The weather was really very good for October - only the odd shower. As always, thank you for your wonderful hospitality - you are such good company.
La propriété Mas des Rivailles est un super endroit dans une superbe région de la France. L'une des meilleures piscines que nous ayons vues et la famille l'a utilisée toute la journée pendant notre séjour. La maison est vraiment confortable avec de nombreux espaces où la famille peut se déployer pour travailler ou simplement passer du temps seul. Le fait de disposer de trois espaces de restauration formels nous permettait de varier les lieux où nous déjeunions et dînions. Il y a de superbes vues sur la campagne depuis toutes les fenêtres et la maison se trouve dans un cadre très paisible et serein. Je dois féliciter Frédéric, le gestionnaire local. Il était là pour nous accueillir à notre arrivée et nous guider à travers la propriété et nous indiquer tous les éléments et informations locales qui ont rendu l'expérience si formidable. Il est très axé sur les solutions et a résolu les problèmes mineurs de manière simple, détendue et dans les meilleurs délais. Un grand merci pour tout.

Après un début de séjour frais et pluvieux, nous avons passé une magnifique semaine ensoleillée à explorer les environs de ce charmant cottage tout équipé. Nous avons même fait un plongeon dans la piscine immaculée ! Merci Caterina, Steve et Bennie.

Jolie maison pleine de charme et authentique à Lusignac. La maison est telle que décrite avec d'excellents équipements pour nos vacances d'été. Nous étions 8 adultes avec 2 bébés (2 ans et 18 mois) et la maison nous a tous très bien accueillis.

Just wanted to say what a wonderful property Moulin de Terrac is. We had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Probably the best property we have stayed in since we started holidaying in France 16 years ago. And also what a great manager Bonnie was – really helpful and friendly.
