This was our first holiday with our girls aged 2 years and 9 months. They had an amazing time! What a welcoming, beautiful place this is. Thank you so much for opening your home for us to share. It was the perfect place for our extended family to be together. Thank you for this fabulous experience.
Echoing all previous comments. It was a pleasure to stay here and on behalf of the two English-born cricket enthusiasts, we enjoyed the cricket net, as well as all the other sports. You are obviously a man with fine tastes!
We have just returned from Maison de la Mairie. The house is a lovely, spacious and bright family house in a pretty village by the Canal du Midi. The house is well equipped with good quality bedding and towels etc. There is an excellent library so no need to bring reading materials. Outside there is lots of space for sunny or shady meals by the pool. Paraza is well served by a very good village shop and an excellent restaurant situated beside the canal. There is a lot of useful information in the house including walks, drives, restaurants and lo al history. Stephen, our host, was most welcoming and did all he could to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday. Even when he had to return to the UK he arranged for someone to be available should we need help. We have enjoyed a lovely holiday and woulf like to thank Stephen and Susan for sharing their home with us.

We thought that the Loft was lovely. We've had a great two weeks in beautiful accommodation. We've enjoyed exploring the region but have left plenty to do to give us a reason to come back. I know the girls will miss Mack and Mabel - we'll keep you posted if we succumb to their requests to get one of our own! Thank you both for your company and warm hospitality.
It hardly seems like any time at all since we arrived a fortnight past. Time flies when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly enjoyed ourselves immensely. We have so appreciated your wonderful hospitality once more - not least the delicious bacon sandwiches! And what splendid lunches we had with two new restaurants we must definitely visit next time as we are already booked in with you for the three of us next June. We especially enjoyed exploring your beautiful garden during our stay this time. A l’annee procaine!
Lors de notre premier séjour en Dordogne, nous avons trouvé la Sainte Trinité du voyage : une propriété parfaite, des hôtes exceptionnels et un emplacement exceptionnel. Les propriétaires ont magnifiquement rénové la propriété en alliant architecture traditionnelle de Dordogne et décoration intérieure contemporaine, préservant ainsi le caractère de la propriété tout en offrant le confort moderne. Le gîte bénéficie d'un emplacement rural isolé et d'un accès facile (5 minutes à pied) aux deux restaurants, à la boutique et au bar de l'hôtel de Thonac. De même, la route principale qui traverse Thonac vous mène à travers la pittoresque vallée de la Vézère, avec Montignac et notre ville préférée, Saint-Léon, à seulement quelques minutes en voiture. Les villes médiévales de Sarlat, Beynac et Domme sont un peu plus éloignées, mais restent faciles d'accès. Grottes pour le canoë, troglodytes pour la randonnée et une multitude de restaurants et de bars sont facilement accessibles depuis Thonac. Vous pouvez vraiment passer toutes sortes de vacances depuis cette propriété. C'est magnifique !
Maison magnifique - superbement équipée ! Nous avons vraiment apprécié les ventilateurs par temps chaud ! La salle de jeux était super - nous n'avons pratiquement pas vu les enfants de toute la semaine ! Vos recommandations dans les pages violettes étaient excellentes. Une très bonne excursion à Royan pour déguster des fruits de mer. S'asseoir sur la terrasse tout en admirant la vue était magnifique.
Un endroit luxueux avec la plus belle piscine chauffée et une vue sur la Méditerranée. La piscine et sa vue constituent l'essentiel de la propriété. Elle est absolument impeccable, parfaitement chauffée à 30 degrés et bénéficie d'une piscine à débordement qui ajoute à l'ambiance luxueuse. Il y a un plongeoir et un toboggan aquatique amusant, ainsi que des chaises longues en mousse. La terrasse est également magnifique avec de nombreux transats et sièges, ainsi qu'une table pour les repas. L'intérieur de la propriété est spacieux avec des antiquités intéressantes et les chambres sont climatisées, ce qui est charmant même s'il y a de toute façon beaucoup d'ombre pendant les journées chaudes. La voiture peut être garée juste à côté de la villa pour faciliter le transport des bagages et les courses au supermarché, etc. Dans l'ensemble, Les Fumerates ressemble à un coin de paradis, paisible et calme, et il est difficile de s'en arracher malgré la proximité facile de la côte. La piscine est l'attraction vedette, toujours agréable d'y nager même en fin de soirée, et possède un toboggan, un plongeoir et des chaises longues flottantes si vous le souhaitez. La terrasse et la piscine sont éclairées la nuit et l'atmosphère calme et luxueuse font qu'il est presque impossible d'en sortir malgré la proximité de quelques beaux endroits à visiter !
We have all had an amazing 3 weeks stay in your beautiful house. Our grand children have all learned to swim in the pool and we have all enjoyed our days out in this lovely part of France. We can't thank you enough for giving us everything we could wish for in a holiday home - you have thought of every home comfort. We will be recommending this as the best place to stay for all.
I just wanted to say how much we loved the house! Absolutely perfect in every way and gorgeously comfortable beds. We even staged our own murder mystery in the house.
Ayant loué des maisons de vacances en France pendant de nombreuses années, je suis sûr que l'accueil de Philippe a été le plus chaleureux que nous ayons jamais eu. Sa gentillesse et sa générosité en nous offrant un magnifique pack de bienvenue comprenant des fromages, du pain, des fruits, du vin et une tarte ont rendu notre arrivée très agréable. La maison est joliment aménagée et chaque besoin semblait avoir été pris en compte. La disposition des trois bâtiments est particulièrement adaptée aux familles nombreuses avec deux grandes chambres en suite dans un bloc, une double compacte dans le pool house et une magnifique suite parentale dans la maison principale. Les installations sont exceptionnelles, avec une cuisine entièrement équipée, la climatisation dans les zones clés, une grande variété de sièges extérieurs (très confortables) au soleil et à l'ombre, une fantastique cuisine extérieure avec barbecue et une superbe piscine, le tout dans de beaux jardins. Philippe a gentiment apporté des croissants ou des pâtisseries les matins (très tôt), il nettoyait silencieusement la piscine et apportait une autre grande sélection de friandises locales lors du changement des draps après une semaine. L'emplacement est calme et paisible mais il y a beaucoup d'endroits intéressants à visiter à une courte distance en voiture. Béziers et les villages le long du Canal du Midi offrent de nombreuses activités et la côte n'est qu'à 20 minutes. C'est une propriété exceptionnelle qui ressemble à une maison plutôt qu'à une location et vous ne pouvez pas ne pas y passer de vacances.
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison et la recommandons fortement aux autres voyageurs pour un week end ou plus !
Thank you so much Thierry and Véronique for making us so welcome in your beautiful house. We've thoroughly enjoyed a mixture of exploring and relaxing. Highlights have included the great week in Chauvigny (as well as exploring the medieval town), canoeing along a scenic stretch of the river at Angles sur L’Anglin, and exploring the châteaux. Afterwards, a day trip to Poitiers and an excellent visit to Futuroscope. We finished each day relaxing in the pool and playing boules. All in all, a wonderful week in a beautiful area.
What would you tell your friends about your holiday ? It was a very pleasant stay. A very quiet house, very well equipped, with a much-appreciated pool. Beautiful scenery. What was the best thing about your stay ? The pool. The view over the landscape. The outdoor space. The air conditioning. What could we do better for your next stay? A pitcher/carafe (but perhaps we just didn’t find it). Were there any appliances you really wished you had? It was more than perfect. How was the comfort of your rooms, pillows, and beds? Impeccable. Do you have any comments on the garden, pool, plancha, etc.? Wonderful. Missing: the table game, and a tree under whose shade one could have lunch. How do you rate the information provided in this booklet? Perfect and complete. Is there anything important missing? One of our friends suggested an electric bike. Another thought that suggestion was excessive. How could we improve it? I note that the useful information, sometimes highlighted, already seems extremely well presented — also topographic details, routes, activities, plans for next year. Do you have any other comments to help us serve you better when you return next year? Looking forward to future visits. Final remark: We thank you for this very good stay in this very beautiful and interesting house, whose collection of books caught our attention.

La maison de vacances idéale. Magnifiquement meublée avec une immense piscine, une terrasse et un jardin. Elle est spacieuse et aérée et parfaitement située pour des vacances en famille. Homps est une charmante petite ville à proximité de Carcassonne et de Narbonne. Nous avons adoré la pizzeria d'à côté et le magasin du coin sur le quai vendant du pain frais tous les jours. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner !

Wow, what a holiday! We've just returned from a fantastic week at the house and all 14 of us have nothing but praise for the whole week. The house has been beautifully renovated and is perfectly equipped in every way. We ranged from 75 to 1 yr old and had plenty of space for us all. From the crisp white linen on the very comfy beds to the pizza oven, full sized bar, the lovely sun loungers and very well equipped kitchen... we couldn't have asked for more. The kids loved picking tomatoes and lettuce from the kitchen garden and my sister and I loved the fabulous gym with amazing views across the valley. In the run up to the holiday, I had all my questions answered and George was on hand for anything we needed during our stay. We're already planning our return visit next year, hopefully for a couple of weeks as one just isn't enough!

An absolute joy to stay here! The Loft is perfect in every way. Karen and Russell have literally thought of everything. A wonderful kitchen and gorgeous crockery, loads of utensils - it was a joy to use! Undoubtedly for our four teenagers the Loft terrace has been a major hit. Many an hour has been spent lounging around listening to the water trickling along. Totally relaxing. The recommendations were perfect for things to do, restaurants and vineyards to visit. Karen was so right about la Cite at Carcassonne - beautiful. Many thanks for the welcome, the chats and the wine - we will definitely be back!
My extended family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The house itself is a magnificent old stone building, which has been decorated in a very elegant manner. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and we very much appreciated the coffee machine. Younger family members enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Being an old house, it does have some quirks, but these are very much outweighed by the charm and grandeur of the rooms and outdoor areas. The location is scenic and peaceful - but within reasonable driving distance of area attractions such as Lascaux and villages along the Dordogne. The local village is lovely, with a handy small supermarket, great boulangerie and several restaurants. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Our 2nd visit to Mas de Lozanne and it certainly didn't disappoint. The extreme heat curtailed some outings, but the pool area was a haven! We still managed daily coffees in Café d'Art and a couple of early evening drinks. We made good use of the barbecue. Pezanas keeps on giving and this house, nestled in the vines, is a delight! Nous étions de passage pour un week-end entre amis. Christophe et sa femme nous un réservé un accueil très chaleureux ils sont très à l’écoute et attentionnés. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans leurs maison qui est juste magnifique
La Maison Forgeron est une maison fantastique, quatre grandes chambres avec salles de bain, beaucoup d'espace commun, un joli jardin avec une superbe piscine. La maison est élégamment décorée et extrêmement bien équipée. En somme, une destination parfaite pour s'y rassembler en famille.
