We had an amazing stay at your wonderful house. The setting was wonderful and we had a truly relaxing time. The scenery was a joy. We also liked the beautiful village / hamlet with such a wonderful church. We met many French people who were exceptionally friendly. We cooked with all the fresh produce from the markets and ate outside surrounded by hay bales! Thank you for such an amazing week.
We've had an absolutely fantastic holiday. Apart from the stunning accommodation, the welcome and the help from Karen and Russell, we've also had great weather and lots of places to visit and things to do. Everything about our fortnight has been really enjoyable and will stay memorable.
Séjour fantastique - groupe de 10 adultes et 10 enfants. Excellente configuration pour bien divertir les deux groupes et quelques surprises supplémentaires comme une aire de jeux à côté de l'une des terrasses extérieures. La salle de sport et la piscine sont toutes deux immenses, la dernière nous gardant au frais pendant les chauds après-midi. Les propriétaires nous ont également aidés à organiser les services d'un cuisinier local pour certains soirs et ceux d'un producteur de vin local pour une dégustation de vin.

Un soleil radieux pour nous toute la semaine. Nous avons passé un agréable moment à explorer. Les enfants se sont fait passer pour Raiponce à la Maison Baleyssagues et ont passé une merveilleuse journée au Lac de Lougratte. J'ai fait du jogging dans les vignes et aux abords, ce qui était étonnamment épuisant. Nous avons peut-être tous mangé trop de croissants ? Merci pour cette semaine formidable dans un cadre magnifique.
We (family of four, 2 adults and 2 children) enjoyed a lovely week here in July. Fantastic with private pool which was cleaned every day, walking distance to pretty village and bakers, lovely and very welcoming hosts. The house contains two sweet bedrooms, large and relaxing lounge / kitchen area, outdoor kitchen and terrace plus a nice pavilion by the pool. Lots of games available including a table tennis table. Had a great week and happy to recommend.
From the garden the mountain and surrounding vine yards are blindingly beautiful, the day beds under the fig tree was my favourite place over looking the pool and could spend all day there. The whole house is fantastic and the interior also, I absolutely loved it, thank you for these two great weeks,
La Villa du Château était une excellente propriété, idéalement située au cœur du village. L'aménagement était bien pensé, avec de belles chambres et du linge de qualité ; la cuisine était parfaitement équipée, avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires. La piscine était superbe et offrait une grande intimité. Claire, la propriétaire, était sur place pour nous accueillir, ce qui fut très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement d'y passer des vacances.
Grande maison avec belle piscine. Cuisine bien équipée avec, entre autres, plancha à l'extérieur, très agréable ! Nous avons également apprécié le barbecue. Toutes les commodités sont disponibles. nous étions avec 6 adultes et 8 enfants, à la limite mais certainement faisable. Merci pour la climatisation dans les chambres - les coûts d'électricité sont toujours réglés séparément
Fantastic stay in an amazing location. We were 6 adults and 5 children staying for 2 weeks. The weather was still mild and sunny in October and the views on the Corsican mountains and the bay of Ajaccio were stunning. The villa is spacious, very well furnished and in top shape. We used the living room fireplace (it has an extraordinary sixteenth century mantelpiece) every night, it was magical. It is a great place for families.
Here for the third time, we love this special place. Thank you for 2 wonderful weeks.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la Maison des Cordeliers, c'est l'endroit idéal pour profiter du calme et de la tranquillité après une journée de découverte. Nous espérons y retourner !
Merci bien ! Merci de nous faire partager votre belle maison. Nous avons paressé autour de la piscine et dans les magnifiques jardins, joué au badminton et acheté plus de volants ! Nous avons réussi à voir nos amis à Brinon-sur-Sauldre, visité Saumur (vu le château et les feux d'artifice pour le 14 juillet) et avons également organisé un dîner sur place. Merci pour votre fabuleuse hospitalité. (Nous avons également arrosé les petits pots près de la porte du jardin, tous les jours, les fleurs à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de la maison ont été magnifiques !) Merci bien et au revoir !
Notre immense gratitude pour avoir partagé la magie ce site fantastique et un aperçu de votre quotidien. Vous êtes les hôtes les plus charmants, prévenants et généreux. Vous nous avez fait nous sentir comme à la maison dès notre arrivée et tellement confortables et bienvenus tout le ong du séjour. Merci pour cela! Le Manoir est un pur trésor et ce fut pour nous un régal d'apprendre comment vous l'avez façonné et lui avez rendu sa splendeur. Nous nous souviendrons tout particulièrement d'avoir été gâtés avec la fantastique cuisine de Bruce (asperges à la Bruce et confit de canard chaudement recommandés!) et les délicieux desserts de Steve. À grande cuisine, grande ambiance! La semaine s'est trop vite écoulée et nous commençons donc à penser au retour, on en redemande encore! Un grand merci.
De très belles vacances dans cette maison et cette region du Var. Très bonne communication avec la propriétaire et accueil personnalisé pour que l'on trouve la maison. Parking facile pour 2 voitures. Merci pour les boissons au frigo à l'arrivée ! Très belle piscine, une vue magnifique, nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette maison très fonctionnelle.
Beau château avec des pièces magnifiquement décorées et une piscine récemment rénovée. La propriétaire nous a offert des vacances inoubliables.

After many weeks of uncertainty, our decision to drive down to the Loft du Vigneron has been vindicated by a superb week. Thank you so much for all that you have done to make our week so memorable; especially prior to us leaving the UK. Your e-mails and your flexibility made us have a sense of connection before we had met you both. We have appreciated all the small touches that have made our stay easier - from the notes, welcome pack, advice, booking restaurants, etc. A good life is made up of special memories. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à Manoir des Sines. C'est la plus belle propriété dans une jolie région de France.
We can't wait to go back! A chateau with some serious wow factor, this beautiful home in Burgundy was the perfect setting for our family holiday. Luxurious but also wonderfully laid back, it had every possible amenity - tennis court, swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen, gas barbecue, DVD with full library of movies, games room, etc – allowing us all to relax, unwind, keep everyone entertained and also treat ourselves. Would highly recommend hiring the local chef too for an extra special treat. Can’t wait to go back!
Where to start, we have had such a wonderful week we have loved everything about this house and grounds. It is the best house we have ever hired as a group and Mike and Natalie have gone out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Just to mention a few of the many things we loved about the house, the fantastic swimming pool, the incredible views, the activities provided, the comfortable beds, the beautiful seating areas in and out of the house, the breakfast area, the bathrooms... and of course Myrtle the cat who joined us every morning for breakfast. Best of all it was a fantastic place for Grace and Ken to get engaged to be married! Thank you so much for the opportunity to hire this beautiful home. (This was truly a magical place to get engaged, Grace x)
A delightful week spent in a beautiful corner of France. We are at least 20Kg heavier! (Shared between four people, in our defence). Extremely comfortable and tasteful accommodation - thank you for the warm welcome.
Mon mari et moi avec nos 2 enfants (10 et 12 ans) avons séjourné au Borghesia pendant une semaine et c'était vraiment un bonheur. La maison est fraîche et à une température agréable en revenant s'abriter du soleil, bien équipée avec lave-vaisselle, grand réfrigérateur-congélateur, lave-linge et sèche-linge. De grands canapés confortables et une télévision connectée ont assuré le bonheur des enfants après des journées de farniente au bord de la piscine, des balades à vélo ou du canoë sur la Dordogne. Le tout à quelques minutes à vélo. C'est un endroit très privé, sans circulation ni bruit à part les oiseaux et bien sûr quand les adorables chiens de Victoire sont venus dire bonjour. C'est une immense maison et une immense piscine, elle peut donc facilement accueillir 8 personnes avec de nombreuses chaises longues de luxe, des chaises, des parasols et même une jolie grange à côté de la piscine. Je dois mentionner à nouveau la piscine car elle est magnifique !!!

It's hard to know where to start with this wonderful home, the inside and outside are so special its impossible to choose a 'best bit'! I didn't know this part of France at all and whilst it was a wonderful discovery, the château itself stands head and shoulders above its surroundings (literally) with his jaw dropping views. 360 degrees of rolling hills, almost no building in sight and just the sheep and their charming bells the only signs of neighbours. The pictures simply can't do it justice. The house itself is extremely luxurious in its proportions and furnishings. The main difference to other holiday homes is that it is so evidently a comfortable home. We had one rainy day on our trip and the excuse to be inside for the evening with the fire and comfortable sofa's was a great treat. The mixed accommodation is wonderful, with the farm house next to the château and the two charming cottages in the grounds. Very much one for a gang of friends or large family. The owners provide some brilliant suggestions on what to do when venturing further afield - should you want to! But there seem to be endless possibilities, in our brief 10 days we discovered so much and feel we could happily come back every year for 10 years and still be finding new spots. The castle at Foix is an absolute must for children and for adults, if you don't want to go parachuting after your market trip to beautiful Mirepoix the Michelin restaurant 8 minutes away in Camon is a must. But equally with the tennis court, heated pool, choice of terraces to eat on, chapel, lake and boat it would be entirely possible to spend a happy week going no where at all. Perhaps apart from a trip down the drive to Olivier and Marielle's informal shop. Heaven.
This is the third time at Villa Kali and I can't think of any more superlatives. The villa ticks all the boxes and some. The beaches at Grau Agde and Portiragnes are well worth a visit as well as Valros with all its restaurants.
All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.
It is beautiful spot... We loved the pool and the views and wild-life spotting. We would recommend Poltrot as a beautiful spot for food and a paddle in the river, Grottes de Villars is well worth a visit with kids to see the cave paintings. Aubeterre and Brantôme beautiful.
