Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir réservé trois semaines ! Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès notre arrivée chez les adorables Julian et Pascal. La piscine et le jardin sont magnifiques. Nous avons profité de la faune, des écureuils roux, des oiseaux, etc. Nous avons également eu la visite surprise de notre fils Oliver. Nous n'en avions aucune idée. Et la piscine !

Wonderful holiday in this beautiful and stylish home! The house has been refurbished to a very high specification and the bedrooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are luxuriously contemporary. The kitchen is impressively well equipped. There is so much to do in the area which is steeped in history and blessed with natural beauty. The Roman ruins at Vaison are a must- see. We were amazed to find the largest archaeological site in France just down the road and the medieval town, on the other side of the river, with its winding streets, is charming. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the stunning views and the peace and tranquility of the gardens and pool but outings to the hilltop villages of Seguret and Venasque and a wine tasting in Gigondas or Châteauneuf du Pape are experiences not to be missed!
What an amazing week in a stunning home. The house is exquisitely designed and the attention to detail is fantastic. The views are beautiful and the area so quiet and peaceful. I slept in one of the bedrooms on the ground floor and had the best night's sleep I've had for years… the mattress is heavenly. Not many people can lie in bed watching red squirrels leaping through the surrounding trees can they! The small kitchen area on the ground floor along with the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms means the whole floor can be very separate and quiet if two families were to share the house. The middle floor is a great entertaining space with a spotless and very modern kitchen with dining / living area leading out to the garden and pool. It was a real treat to have the local bar / restaurant within a short walking distance. It's very easy to sit and enjoy the local wine! The one thing I hadn't bargained for was the abundance of wildlife, although with the roads being so quiet I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. The red squirrels and deer can be seen from the balconies and fantastic infinity pool overlooking the valley. The cushions for the outdoor furniture are very comfy. Once again, there are various areas to sit / eat and enjoy the garden if different age groups or families stay here. So to sum it all up…a fab holiday home in beautiful surroundings – 10 / 10. PS If you attempt the puzzle in the games cupboard… start it as soon as you arrive because it's tricky but irresistible!
The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.
Des gens et une maison magnifiques. La maison et le paysage sont magnifiques et l'endroit très bien situé, profitant à la fois de la vie rurale tranquille et des équipements et événements culturels de Carcassonne, la ville voisine.
Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans cette belle maison et dans la campagne environnante. La maison offre tout le nécessaire. La piscine était superbe. Un grand merci à Alan et Madeline pour leur hospitalité.
Loved the setting of the house - sunflowers are gorgeous. The pool and hammock gave us much chance to relax.
We stayed in Jean and Martin’s beautiful Gite over the recent May Bank Holiday and we were absolutely delighted with our stay in every way we could possibly be! The Gite itself is immaculately appointed; it is beautifully in character and so generously equipped with all one needs for a seamless and relaxing stay. The kitchen boasts a washing machine and dishwasher - really useful for a longer stay . Great outside area with a bbq and an extra outside kitchen area, sink and 2nd fridge. The outside dining terrace is so comfortable and looks out on a beautifully maintained garden area with pool , sun chairs and gazebo - so comfy and relaxing. The bathroom is a very good size with both bath and shower. Upstairs are two generously sized bedrooms - one double and then a twin room.. Although my husband and I travelled with friends on this occasion, it was very apparent that the Gite is beautifully family friendly ; a cot and high chairs are also provided . The surrounding area is stunning - a few minutes walk to the local shops and cafes. Not far at all by car from many local beautiful areas and restaurants. Jean and Martin are perfect hosts - we honestly couldn’t ask for more and we will definitely be returning.
Villa Funel était très propre, la cuisine bien équipée, les chambres, confortables et l'ensemble très lumineux et aéré. Le lecteur DVD et sa DVDthèque ont été super pour les fins de soirée. La piscine et le jardin sont un délice. Nous nous sommes bien reposés. Nous y retournerons très certainement.
Villa parfaite, hôtes charmants et vue imprenable. Wow, cette villa est tout simplement parfaite à tout point de vue ! C'est beau, paisible, propre et très proche de Saint-Paul-de-Vence qui est magnifique. Les propriétaires étaient très gentils avec nous, s'assurant toujours que nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Toute la semaine n'a été que luxe et confort et la piscine était divine ! Nous reviendrons certainement ici car nous avons passé une semaine fantastique. Dès notre arrivée jusqu'à notre départ, nous nous sommes sentis tellement détendus et gâtés d'attentions ! Je ne peux pas décrire la belle semaine que nous venons de passer dans cette villa, tout était tout simplement parfait ! Merci encore pour ces vacances fantastiques et nous espérons revenir bientôt !

Encore un séjour incroyable à la Maison Baleyssagues où nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par Frédéric et son équipe. Un endroit si paisible, fièrement installé au sommet de la colline avec une vue panoramique. Des jardins très spacieux dotés d'une belle piscine et de sa propre fontaine à eau. À l'intérieur de la villa rien n'est laissé au hasard avec une cuisine entièrement équipée et des chambres très confortables. Regarder les photos ne raconte que la moitié de l'histoire, c'est un endroit superbe, si vous ne réservez pas tôt vous manquerez votre chance car cet endroit est toujours complet, je me demande pourquoi ?
Merci de nous avoir tous permis de séjourner dans votre merveilleuse maison. Un superbe séjour de deux semaines, énormément apprécié de tous.
It's hard to know where to start with this wonderful home, the inside and outside are so special its impossible to choose a 'best bit'! I didn't know this part of France at all and whilst it was a wonderful discovery, the château itself stands head and shoulders above its surroundings (literally) with his jaw dropping views. 360 degrees of rolling hills, almost no building in sight and just the sheep and their charming bells the only signs of neighbours. The pictures simply can't do it justice. The house itself is extremely luxurious in its proportions and furnishings. The main difference to other holiday homes is that it is so evidently a comfortable home. We had one rainy day on our trip and the excuse to be inside for the evening with the fire and comfortable sofa's was a great treat. The mixed accommodation is wonderful, with the farm house next to the château and the two charming cottages in the grounds. Very much one for a gang of friends or large family. The owners provide some brilliant suggestions on what to do when venturing further afield - should you want to! But there seem to be endless possibilities, in our brief 10 days we discovered so much and feel we could happily come back every year for 10 years and still be finding new spots. The castle at Foix is an absolute must for children and for adults, if you don't want to go parachuting after your market trip to beautiful Mirepoix the Michelin restaurant 8 minutes away in Camon is a must. But equally with the tennis court, heated pool, choice of terraces to eat on, chapel, lake and boat it would be entirely possible to spend a happy week going no where at all. Perhaps apart from a trip down the drive to Olivier and Marielle's informal shop. Heaven.
We stayed with a group of friends for the week before our wedding and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to have some quality time and enjoy the great pool! We were also treated to a bottle of champagne for our wedding. What a great place! Would highly recommend.
We wanted to find a location that provided peace and tranquillity and allow us all to pause for a while. We sought comfort, privacy and nature and found it all and more at La Metairie de Mespoule. We have just spent two wonderful weeks in late July and early August under the life giving sun of South Western France. We explored the beautiful villages, we ate in a raft of superb restaurants and we came back each day to the enjoy the tranquillity offered by the Metairie. The accommodation is perfect for a family holiday, the kitchen / living area is perfectly appointed and the outside terrace much used by us all. The naturally heated pool is an inspired choice and proved to be very popular with us all as did the BBQ area, the table tennis and an evening game of pétanque on the gravelled driveway. Catherine and Jono are perfect hosts offering as much or as little support and guidance as required – we opted for a private wine tour which was fabulous. We give the strongest of recommendations for anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing holiday.
Amazing house for outside living ,lots of BBQs and rose on the terrace. Our outdoors loved the walk through the woods and we enjoyed the local markets. Highly recommend L’Effet Maison restaurant in Monflanquin – fantastic food and great wine. Look forward to a new pool side! Thanks for having us!
Fabulous Villa and location We've been coming to the south of France for year and specifically to this area and to Seillans for the last 5 years... and this villa is as good as we have ever stayed. The villa is impeccably kept, extremely comfortable and has the most magnificent views. Everything in the villa is as advertised and works well. The restaurants of Seillans are a short walk away. Although the town itself unfortunately has no boulangerie or patisserie, Fayence is only a 5 minute drive away and has a great one of those, plus a boucherie / charcuterie around the corner, both of which are close to the big Super U supermarket. The terrace and pool are East-facing. We were worried that in the photos it looked like there was little shade provided but with the big awnings for the terrace and a few parasols for the pool, finding shade from the morning sun was not a problem. We love this area for the beautiful mountain villages (seillans, Callian, Tourrettes etc) but the ease of getting around in the largely flat area south of those villages so you can get to Cannes, Grasse and the beaches. C'est un endroit merveilleux où séjourner : en tant que couple, avons passé deux semaines à Carcavi en septembre 2022. Nous voulions une pause tranquille offrant confort et luxe et la maison correspondait à tout ce que nous espérions et plus encore. La maison elle-même est très bien équipée et dispose de fauteuils confortables et d'un bon lit :-) Carcavi est spacieuse et belle, le terrain est vaste et la piscine est superbe. C'est très paisible. Il y avait un généreux panier de nourriture et de boissons pour notre début de séjour. L'ensemble de la propriété est excellement entretenu. Il y a beaucoup d'informations disponibles à la maison et bien sûr encore davantage auprès des hôtes Rupert et Debbie. Nous avons beaucoup lu, profitant des différents endroits pour nous asseoir, nous avons nagé et M a examiné avec enthousiasme les plantes et invertébrés locaux variés. Nous avons apprécié les promenades dans les bois et la vallée à proximité. Merci beaucoup à Rupert et Debbie de nous avoir permis d'utiliser le téléphone de la maison pour appeler la pharmacie de garde lors d'un besoin urgent, cela a été vraiment apprécié.
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cet endroit très calme et verdoyant. Une maison très agréable et confortable, à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Terrasse, piscine, transats... C'était super ! À proximité de Pézenas (magnifique), de l'Abbaye de Valmagne (magnifique) et des marchés locaux... La propriétaire est adorable et très discrète.
What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a godsend as the weather was très chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. Didn’t use the Moroccan room as it was just too hot for us. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. Thanks so much Estelle and co. What a wonderful holiday we have had ! Sad it’s over!

We met, as a family of eleven, to celebrate two eighty's birthdays and a twenty sixth at Christmas time in this lovely home,and what a glorious time we had together. Many thanks.
As anticipated, it was as wonderful as last year and we have all had a splendid time and are sorry to have to leave. Thank you so much for your wonderful Loft and your hospitality. We are all looking forward to our visit again next year.
Cannot fault this property. Lovely house and pool - beautifully furnished. Christophe was extremely helpful and discreet (it was not really apparent that they were living next door as we hardly saw them). I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful break with lots to do within easy reach.
Everything about this stay was perfect! The location (in a small village which boasts a lovely hotel / bar / restaurant, a shop in which you can buy all you need, local wine producers and an organic butchers lorry visiting twice a week) to close proximity to beautiful walking routes and access to nearby towns with great markets, to the house itself which is the epitome of Provence living. Comfortable, thoughtfully restored and furnished and with every amenity you could wish for. The outside areas are great too - a beautiful pool area and several eating / barbecue and relaxation areas to take advantage of the sun or shade as you need. Perfect for large family gatherings as all the rooms are en suit and private except one which has an adjoining room perfect for those with young children although it still has 2 bathrooms! The house and grounds are looked after by a lovely couple who are on hand to help if needed with taxi's advice etc. We will be back!
