Thank you for a wonderful stay! The house and views are gorgeous. We loved visiting Saint-Clar, Condom and off course Lectoure, which has everything you could wish for including the fantastic spa. What a relaxing treat!
The acccommodation is beautifully presented with lots of lovely little touches. There's everything you need but if not the hosts are just next door and couldn't be more helpful. Vouvant is a very short walk away and has a handful of bars, restaurants and shops so you can just leave the car and relax if you really need to with off. We'd highly recommend a stay a The Piglet Barn and will most certainly be back.
Beautiful house, best we have ever stayed in. All the comforts of home and so tastefully decorated. Will definitely be back with the family. We had a wonderful holiday.

We were so impressed with the quality of this home with a high contemporary finish in every room. The kitchen and lounge dinner opens onto an exquisite terrace with far reaching views and ideal for outdoor dinning . Loved the pool area with private patio. This is in the centre of a charming village with all amenities. The unspoilt coastline is stunning and to think it's under an hour from the airport. We would strongly recommend this home and we can't wait to return. Did we forget to mention it's also exceptional value for money.
The most tranquil spot to spend a holiday next to a perfect pool, eating, drinking and relaxing. Stunning house and gardens, we didn't want to leave.
C'était notre toute première location de vacances et elle a placé la barre très haut. De notre arrivée à l'accueil chaleureux et convivial de nos hôtes (Katerina et Stephen) jusqu'à notre départ, toujours aussi chaleureux et convivial, nous n'aurions pas pu rêver mieux pour ce long séjour. Le gîte est très bien aménagé et d'une taille idéale pour un couple. Il offrait tous les équipements nécessaires pour que nos deux semaines se sentent comme à la maison et offrait un espace confortable pour nous déplacer. La piscine est également excellente et témoigne du soin apporté par nos hôtes à la perfection de la décoration. L'emplacement, dans la vallée de la Vézère, est idéal pour visiter les nombreuses attractions de la région : grottes préhistoriques, grottes de stalagmites et de stalactites, maisons fortes, magnifiques châteaux et tant de villages pleins de charme. Nous avons même fait une descente de 12 km en canoë sur la Vézère, ce qui nous a permis de découvrir la vallée sous un angle différent. Même si nous aimons visiter différents endroits, il y a de fortes chances que nous y revenions !
We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!
It was a perfect house for our summer holiday. Beautiful village where it is located. We were really happy about it and recommend it! From there it is easy to go to Narbonne, Carcassonne or other beautiful places along the Canal du Midi. Thank you!

It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. What a beautiful, spaceous and clean place. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very nice area in the garden to relax by the pool, to have a bite on the terrace or to have drinks at your cosy private bar the area in the corner. Inside area has a very nice cool temperature, even when it's 38°C outside. Perfect. Slept like a bear! Absolutely loved my stay, which was too short! Adore the house and flowers, love the owners. Had a great time.

This is a very peaceful and relaxing place, it was interesting watching the wine growers gathering their grape harvest, lots of beautiful scenery, places to visit and some lovely restaurants. We enjoyed cooking at the house with the very well equipped kitchen and some very nice decor touches around the house. A fantastic introduction to this part of France. We will return.

This is a wonderfully quiet place to spend time in provence. Located within walking distance from the many attractions of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence its restaurants and its old town, it is a beautifully appointed home with an inviting swimming pool and check out the new pool shower - delightful. Within easy driving distance are a variety of wineries for your tasting pleasure.
Tout est fantastique, la maison est encore mieux que sur les photos et on remarque l'affection qu'on lui a donnée dans les moindres détails. Il a tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin et les appareils sont de grandes marques. Nous y sommes allés avec beaucoup d'enfants et ils ont passé un bon moment. Un grand merci aux hôtes et nous espérons revenir bientôt.

C'était la maison la plus parfaite pour que notre famille élargie puisse se retrouver et se détendre. La maison était joliment décorée et avait tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Les espaces extérieurs étaient charmants, avec de nombreuses options pour qu'un grand groupe puisse socialiser. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la cuisine extérieure, la piscine et la table de ping-pong dans la grange. Le retour à pied depuis le bar local était agréable. Dans l'ensemble, nous recommandons vivement cette propriété et espérons y retourner un jour. Merci beaucoup.
Beautiful location really nice house, swimming pool is delightful. Large safe garden for children. Remote but easy to find and within easy driving distance of all the facilities you need for a great holiday.
Le paradis absolu. Ma famille, quatorze d'entre nous de 70 à 1 an, a passé deux semaines mémorables et joyeuses au Manoir Alvère. La maison et le terrain sont magiques. Une promenade facile vous emmène dans le village, et il y a beaucoup de très bons endroits où manger à quelques minutes en voiture. L'arrivée et le départ sont faciles avec la propriétaire et le gardien Georges était sur place en cas de problème. J'envie tous ceux qui se retrouvent dans cet endroit très spécial !

Le village et les villes environnantes étaient tout aussi magnifiques et nous n'aurions pas pu demander mieux ! Nous recommanderons certainement la Maison des Hirondelles à toute notre famille et à nos amis.
