Enjoyed a wonderful week with friends in this beautiful house surrounded by stunning scenery. Clare was welcoming and helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Would thoroughly recommend and very much hope to return again.
Mon mari et moi avons passé notre lune de miel au Château des Dragons début septembre. Quel endroit magique ! Le château est absolument magnifique – on y trouve tout le confort nécessaire et la piscine chauffée était tout simplement merveilleuse. Les propriétaires étaient très serviables et sympathiques, nous conseillant sur les endroits à visiter et les moyens de transport. Sur leurs recommandations, nous sommes allés voir un superbe marché dans le village voisin et avons emprunté deux vélos pour explorer la campagne environnante. Un grand supermarché se trouve à environ 20 minutes à pied et le château est facilement accessible depuis Poitiers. Nous espérons y revenir un jour.
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour chez Kim. La maison est parfaite, la terrasse est au calme et vue magnifique sur les champs. Les petits se sont éclatés avec les chèvres, les oies, les poules et le poney !
Nous avons été absolument submergés par la beauté, la tranquillité et les vues entourant cette magnifique maison. C'était un réel privilège de pouvoir passer du temps ici à nous créer des souvenirs spéciaux en famille - en particulier pour la célébration d'un anniversaire important ! Nous avons apprécié la magnifique piscine, fait un barbecue, fait une visite du vignoble et une dégustation de vins, fait du kayak sur la Dordogne et bien plus encore. La chaleur, la serviabilité et l'attention que Frédéric a porté aux détails ont été très appréciées. Nous ne saurions trop louer le niveau de service et sa prévenance ! Merci beaucoup!
Superbe maison, beaucoup d'espace, piscine suffisamment profonde, facile de se rendre à pied jusqu'à Mougins. Ample stationnement. Bien aménagée pour s'y divertir. Excellentes communications. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour.

Wow ! Totally surpassed our expectations. The attention to detail is amazing. This place is truly unique, the decor and furnishings are beautiful. The outside space is spectacular. I could ramble on for hours about our stay, not to mention all the incredible things to do in the surrounding area.
C'est l'avis le plus facile et satisfaisant que nous ayons jamais écrit. Mark et Gary sont tout simplement deux des personnes les plus chaleureuses et attentionnées que nous ayons jamais rencontrées. Ils ont créé la plus belle maison dans un cadre rural idéal, si belle qu'elle semble presque trop belle pour être vraie… mais elle est bien réelle. À La Charmante Distillerie, tout invite à la détente et à la relaxation… que ce soit les espaces intérieurs somptueux et luxueux, la piscine et les terrasses attenantes offrant ombre et intimité, ou encore la forêt environnante et le bruissement des feuilles des arbres sous la douce brise rafraîchissante. Les matins et les soirs étaient nos moments préférés : nous nous asseyions et écoutions le silence en savourant un expresso ou un Pineau frais. C'était vraiment idyllique. Nos filles, âgées de 12 et 14 ans, étaient ravies de jouer dans la piscine pendant des heures ou de se détendre sur les terrasses et dans leur petit coin intime, magnifiquement aménagé. Nous aimerions garder La Charmante Distillerie comme notre petit secret et ne la partager avec personne, mais bien sûr, ce n'est pas possible. C'est donc à notre grand regret que nous devons dire à tous ceux qui nous le demandent que nous avons trouvé la destination idéale avec des hôtes parfaits. C'est magnifique.
A three-generation family holiday has been thoroughly enjoyed here at Fontalbe. Sitting under the wisteria Trees was a favourite spot for breakfast, reading, watercolour painting etc. the pool has been fantastic for six grandchildren who have had hours of fun and laughter, the sun loungers have been well used too. So much wildlife – demoiselles, butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, a toad plus fish and crayfish in the stream.
We had a wonderful stay, the house is very large, designed perfectly, very comfortable and recommended for anyone who loves peace and quiet in a perfect setting. The local town Monsegur is a very short car ride away, or a 20 minute walk. A few lovely shops and restaurants welcome you here. If you love nature there are some excellent walks amongst the grapevines and natural walkways. Evening dining at the house is wonderful as there is a large outdoor space by the private pool. The pool is 10 mtrs and recently installed. Aircon to cool the bedrooms before bedtime makes for a comfortable nights sleep. We have holidayed in this area of France almost 20 times but this accommodation is the best that we have had. All together a perfect, luxurious place to stay, attention to detail here is excellent, Christophe is the perfect host.
Time seems to have stood still for these 10 days. And yet it passed quickly. An idyllic setting, calm at all times, 2 charming and attentive hosts. We loved our stay at Colombat Cottage.
Very enjoyable, well kitted and at a logged location for a lazy 'by the pool' sort of break. Love the poolhouse area and very nice interior decor. Gary and Louise were most helpful and we had a wonderful relaxing time. Monflanquin was good fun and we enjoyed the day and night markets. Great for all ages.
It’s hard to know where to begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Your property is so well set up and we made good use of the barbecue, tennis court, boules, darts, table tennis and of course, the pool which beats all other swimming pools we’ve ever had on holiday... and the shady areas when the sun got just that bit too hot. So much thought has obviously gone into it all and it made our holiday very special. The four teenage grandchildren we had with us had a ball and we all loved the Lot countryside, its villages and the sunflowers. How can you not be happy when you’ve got fields of them within a few steps from your door? The two Marches Gourmands we went to at Tournon and Saux were brilliant fun - the food on offer at Saux was particularly good and Tournon is such a pretty place. Our daughter loved going for early morning runs, seeing a hare and on two occasions, a deer, amongst sunflowers. Swimming in the Lot, cycling and canoeing are all on our list of favourite things we did. We also have a great picture of three of the red squirrels on the tree near the bolet - what a brilliant place for breakfast. Thank you so very much from all of us. Merci beaucoup d'avoir rendu notre visite dans le Lot si spéciale. Votre généreuse hospitalité était incroyable. Rien n'était trop demander, chaque demande d'information suivie assidûment, toujours discrètement et sans jamais s'immiscer dans notre vie privée. En cours de séjour, nous réalisons que nous nous sommes fait un nouvel ami. La propriété elle-même est magnifique et impeccablement entretenue. Équipée de tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin, nous ne manquions de rien. Nichés au milieu des vignes, nous avons eu la chance d'être là à temps pour regarder et participer aux vendanges. Vous avez même organisé pour nous une dégustation des vins issus des vignobles de la région. Il était impossible de ne pas en emporter chez nous. Beaucoup à explorer, des restaurants incroyables, nous sommes tombés amoureux du Lot. Nous pouvons pleinement apprécier comment ce havre a volé votre cœur. Ayant passé de nombreuses années en vacances en France, c'était sans aucun doute le point culminant de tous nos voyages. Merci beaucoup d'avoir rendu nos vacances si spéciales.

La Maison Baleyssagues est charmante. C'est aussi beau que sur les photos, les lits sont super confortables, la cuisine très bien équipée et l'espace piscine et les terrasses extérieures sont charmants, dont une terrasse avec vue et des couchers de soleil magnifiques. Le gestionnaire est extrêmement serviable et a fait de son mieux pour nous aider à résoudre certains problèmes que nous avons rencontrés. Merci! Nous reviendrons.
Nous y avons séjourné maintenant à cinq reprises et nous reviendrons. L'hébergement a tout ce dont vous pourriez souhaiter dans un logement indépendant et la piscine est superbe. De jolis petits villages à visiter à proximité ainsi que Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez et Monaco tous facilement accessibles. Trajet facile en voiture depuis l'aéroport de Nice jusqu'à cet endroit très paisible.
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à la Maison Baleyssagues. La maison était exactement comme décrite et nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis comme à la maison. Excellent emplacement, belle piscine, chambres et lits parfaits. Un grand merci également à l'hôte Frédéric. Nous reviendrons certainement.

Wow! what a start to the summer. Very hot, lovely weather, plums aplenty (from garden trees), walks to Eglise de Senezelles, daily visits to the bakery in Cancon, fab Monday markets, much swimming, pool/snooker, BBQs, card games, a very dramatic thunder storm and 18 wonderful books (from the Bosc Grand shelves) read collectively. The stuff of family holiday dreams. We hope to be back!
We fell in love with holidaying in France almost 30 years ago and I used to think that my heart belonged to Provence, until we stumbled across beautiful Manoir de Fouilloux, nestled in the lush green countryside of the Dordogne. Hugh and Ian, the hosts of the house are incredibly welcoming and attentive, but equally unobtrusive when you just want to relax on your own. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will give you their time all day, every day should you so desire, along with Oscar, their lovely dog, who is very happy to be fussed over or left alone to sleep in the shade out of sight. The interior of the house is breathtakingly beautiful. It is evident from the moment you step through the door, that so much thought and attention to detail has gone into every corner of the building; from the beautiful stone floors, to the light filled bedrooms with the most sumptuous bed linen (and the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on), to the fabulous showers and well equipped kitchen, every part of the house is simply brimming with everything you could ever need to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From the stunning interior, you step outside to the rear courtyard garden, which is inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent Moroccan garden and it's like nothing you could ever imagine. The vibrant blue that is unique to YSL garden has been matched exactly and is dotted around the garden with careful thought, creating a wonderfully calming area to relax in, with the magnificent tiled pond being the centrepiece of the area. Off the garden is the outdoor kitchen / seating area and again is a fantastically well thought out area, complete with it's own set of glass and tableware (so you don't have to keep going back into the kitchen to get things), outdoor gas barbecue and dishwasher, they really have thought of everything! It is truly the most tranquil place to spend time with family and friends. The pool at the front of the house is magnificent, complete with poolside lights, it is a fabulous place to enjoy in the evening too. Lying on the sun loungers soaking up the sun and looking out over the amazing garden is so restful; you'll never want to leave the house. But leave you must, as there is so much to see in the surrounding area; nearby St Aulaye has a pretty little town square where you can enjoy a relaxing drink, Saint-Jean-de-Côle, a beautiful medieval village dating back to the 11th Century, is so attractive with it's ochre coloured houses and the tranquil river Cole running through it. From Saint-Jean-de-Côle you can easily visit the caves at Villars; being a bit claustrophobic I declined to go down with the rest of the family, but they do come highly recommended! Another very pretty village is nearby Aubeterre, which has the most spectacular views, small selection of shops and restaurants dotted around a vibrant village square and at the foot of the village you can find a river beach, canoeing centre, football club and tennis club. Brantome is a charming town, often dubbed the Venice of Perigord, due to the river Dronne running through it. If you've ever read 'The Matchmaker of Perigord', you will find Brantôme mentioned in this and as you wander around the town, you can really see the characters come to life. It has a good selection of shops and restaurants so is definitely a worthy visit, even if you haven't read the book. Manoir de Fouilloux, is truly a magical place to stay, it is like coming up for fresh air. The only criticism I have of it is that once visited, you will never want to go anywhere ever again, so sorry guys, see you next year...
We arrived at a large house that matched well and even more to what the photos showed. This is the first time we have found a vacation rental with so many dishes and kitchen supplies. As we were a large family with a few small children, this environment greatly favored the well-being of our stay. We sincerely thank our host for this generous sharing.
A truly fabulous house, super comfortable and well equipped with everything you could want. The incredible kitchen is a joy to cook in. The pool was warm and super clean. This was a really special place for our family holiday with lots of space to spread out. Clare gave us some great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Andy cooked us a delicious meal for us which is a real treat. The area is lovely and peaceful, surrounded by vineyards, unspoilt local towns and villages. We would love to return and show the area and house to other friends and family.
