A fabulous 2 week holiday for the whole family, ages from 11 weeks to 70 years!! A superb house + grounds and a very special thanks to Lynda for her generosity + helping us on our last weekend.
This is our 3rd visit and yet again we have had a lovely time. Weather a little more energetic than previously but still lovely and warm. So relaxing, peaceful and calm, with the advantage of Poitiers to explore and the fantastic bakeries nearby. Thank you so much again.
Our stay at La Petite Maison Générille was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautiful, the location is stunning, the hosts were fantastic - so helpful and friendly, made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a relaxing and memorable Dordogne getaway.
This is my second visit to the beautiful ‘Rusty Shears gite’ hosted by Kirstie and Russell. From the outset our stay was just perfect. We were made very welcome and even had welcome drinks upon arrival. This was a special visit for my mums birthday and Kirstie even baked a cake, which was absolutely delicious. The gite is immaculately presented and the interior is simply gorgeous, with sumptuous cushions, uniquely bespoke painted furniture and house plants that compliment the gite’s luxurious eclectic style. The outside space is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to the nature that surrounds the outside space. They have thought of everything; an outside eating area, complete with overhead sails to stay in the shade, corner sofa area complete with parasol to stay in or out of the shade, a bbq area with small outside prep area, hot tub and even 4 sun loungers. The location is set in the countryside so expect to drive or cycle to the local vineyards and restaurants but rest assured Kirstie and Russell can recommend plenty of places of interest and even arrange cycle hire or restaurant bookings if preferred. All in all a really tranquil long weekend away that offered us plenty of tasty local food, vineyard visits, rest and relaxation in the sunshine. If you’re an animal lover then you’ll also appreciate Kirstie’s love of animals too and if you’re lucky you’ll get to taste a freshly laid egg from ’Cluckingham palace!’ A truly wonderful space and warm welcome that will encourage you to return. A gem of a holiday find - we will definitely be going back soon! Thank you Kirstie and Russell for your hospitality during our stay at Rusty Shears gite and for making great memories!
Fantastic barn conversion, amazing location and wonderful facilities including a large swimming pool. Would highly recommend. The owner was super helpful throughout. The local villages have all the shops and services needed. We loved the rolling hills for jogging.
Thank you for an amazing stay in this wonderful house, the view, kitchen facilities and the entertainment available were all perfect. We enjoyed the bbq every night in the garden and early morning swims. The house was equipped with everything we needed we cooked with herbs from the garden and improved our pool playing. The wine tasting next door was very special, we liked the decor in every room and would recommend this house to stay in, its a lovely place. We had an incredible holiday.

Une maison où l'on se sent comme chez soi ! Entièrement meublée avec goût, dans un cadre magnifique. Nous avons visité de nombreux endroits et je recommande : les grottes de Limousis, la cité de Carcassonne et le pont suspendu de Mazamet. Le marché hebdomadaire d'Olonzac est magnifique ! Le soir, profitez de la magnifique terrasse pour admirer la vue sur les Pyrénées, les sommets enneigés et les enfants dans la piscine. Nous recommandons fortement, nous y reviendrons sans hésiter ! Nous sommes jaloux de votre maison !

Beautiful château with all amenities. Ann was extremely helpful with organising taxis, wine tours and any concerns. Very efficient in organising a new barbecue. Thank you for helping us have a fantastic holiday.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour. L’appartement est très agréable, lumineux, très bien équipé. La grande terrasse avec vue sur le petit port et la mer est au top, avec le bruit des cigales. L’espace de vie est très lumineux et agréable à vivre. La cuisine est très bien équipée. Les commerces de proximité, dont un grand Géant Casino, sont accessibles en voiture, sur Beaulieu, à 5 minutes en voiture. Même si l’accès à la gare et au bus est assez simple, privilégiez la voiture… ou le bateau, car le port est en bas de l’immeuble.
Amazing villa, amazing view, stunning accommodation. We had an amazing 7 days stay. The house is walking distance from the village where a train can take you straight to Cannes, with top interior design and great level of service. The cleaning lady came twice a week and the garden and pool was serviced once a week. All that 30 minutes from Nice airport and top 4 golf courses. We loved it.
Beautiful house. Great quality equipment. Attentive staff (Anne, Nadine and Thierry). Lovely pool. Great location for visiting lots of places. Everything is a great standard.

We had a lovely holiday here ! The place was beautifully quiet and well-equipped. Pau is definitely worth a visit with wonderful restaurants. We had a great stay and are heading home fully recharged.
We could not have made a better decision than to come to Villa La Baronne to spend the end of the year. The house is magnificent, the location unbeatable both for the surroundings (the river, the forest, the small towns...) and the proximity to Toulouse. The house has the services you expect and much more. An excellent experience that I hope we can repeat again. Thanks to Isabelle and Philippe for offering Villa La Baronne guests a five-star stay. Magnifique maison pour des vacances en famille, commodités de plain-pied et belle piscine avec bonne protection par alarme. Également un endroit idéal pour profiter de l'extérieur avec machine à pizza, barbecue et cuisine fonctionnelle très facile à utiliser. Beaucoup d'espaces salons extérieurs ombragés. La climatisation dans les chambres était un avantage considérable par temps chaud. De beaux meubles et nous nous sentions chez nous dans cette maison de famille heureuse. Accès facile à la boulangerie, au supermarché et au restaurant local, le tout à moins de 5 minutes à pied. Merci.
We had the most wonderful week at Les Rocans last week. Please would you pass this on to the owners. We have stayed in France annually and many times in between, over the past 45 years and Les Rocans beats them all for outlook, atmosphere, amenities, beauty and suitability for our growing family. We all just loved it!

Des vacances inoubliables ! Nous n'aurions pas pu passer une meilleure semaine dans ce magnifique château, parfaitement équipé pour la détente et le plaisir, avec des journées au bord de la piscine et des repas en terrasse. Nous n'avons jamais ressenti le besoin de partir, si ce n'est pour les incontournables remontants de rosé : nous avons mangé et bu comme des rois. De très bons souvenirs qui nous accompagneront jusqu'à notre prochaine visite, nous l'espérons !
All of us have had a lovely holiday - so relaxing! Much reading, drinking wine, lying in the sun and swimming. Absolutely perfect! We went to Carcasonne which is stunning, but it was unbelievably hot! (and the whining children not the easiest!) Thank you - It's a great house. And we echo all the above sentiments. It has been perfect week of pure relaxation - the owner is absolutely right when he says that there is no very good reason to leave the house - we managed an afternoon in the Montagne Noir - stunning views especially from Saissac. The house is perfect for all of us. A huge thank you to the owners for making it so good.

Nous y avons passé une fantastique semaine de vacances. Cette maison a une position incroyable avec des vues panoramiques dans toutes les directions. J'ai apprécié y cuisiner et me détendre dans la piscine. Merci d'avoir une maison aussi confortable et bien équipée. Nous n’avions besoin de rien d'autre. Un grand choix de routes où circuler à vélo. Nous espérons revenir.
