Thank you for being wonderful hosts. It has been a joy to stay at the Loft and to explore a little of the region. Excited to be thinking of returning in the future when the weather is cooler. Our arrival was so welcoming and you provide such a generous hamper for our first night - thank you We particularly enjoyed exploring Rieux with its château, church and watching the wine harvest. Deuxième séjour dans cette magnifique maison, c’est toujours un lieu aussi enchanteur. La nature bien sûr est splendide mais l’espace intérieur et l’aménagement sont vraiment de grande qualité. Les chambres sont particulièrement spacieuses, la literie parfaite, la décoration mêle l’ancien et le moderne de façon très harmonieuse. Les espaces communs sont très bien aménagés, mention spéciale pour le baby-foot dans un salon au frais qui a régalé les enfants. La cuisine est grande et pourvue de plus que le nécessaire. La piscine est totalement sécurisée avec un système d’ouverture coulissante très maniable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Nous étions une famille de sept adultes et avons passé une semaine merveilleuse à Challignac. Mark et Gary sont vraiment des hôtes exceptionnels. Le gîte était magnifiquement présenté et d'une propreté impeccable. Tout le nécessaire avait été soigneusement mis à disposition, y compris un savon liquide de luxe: inutile donc d'apporter le vôtre. La cuisine était exceptionnellement bien équipée, avec tous les ustensiles et appareils électroménagers nécessaires. Et si quelque chose manquait, Mark et Gary se sont fait un plaisir de le fournir ! À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un généreux choix de fromages, charcuteries, pains, en-cas, vins, bières, boissons sans alcool, thé et café ; un accueil parfait qui nous a évité de courir faire les courses. L'espace piscine était tout simplement divin : une superbe piscine chauffée entourée de nombreux sièges extérieurs et d'une superbe cuisine extérieure. Tout était réuni pour se détendre et profiter. Même si la météo n'était pas toujours de notre côté, nous en avons profité pour explorer les villages et les grandes villes des environs. Nous avons dégusté de délicieux repas dans les restaurants recommandés par nos hôtes. Dans l'ensemble, tout le monde s'est bien amusé et nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Un grand merci à Mark et Gary !

So much space for everyone. Personally some softer pillows would have been appreciated. Everything you need for a holiday with children, outside and in. Catering excellent. Faultless service.
Amazing! is the word. The Loft itself, you as hosts and the location. Our week has been wonderful and made all the better due to the exceptional care and attention you both put into this special place. Your warmth and hospitality exceeds expectations - we cannot thank you enough. We will look forward to returning to continue exploring.

La Maison Somail était encore plus belle que ce que à quoi nous nous attendions, avec un souci du détail, un beau jardin et une piscine. Cadre agréable et hôte très sympathique.
We stayed in Maison Rohmer for 11 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed the house and peaceful setting at the end of a private track. Everything was very clean and well furnished with excellent bathrooms and plenty of hot water. We swam in the pool every day bar one, when there was a big thunderstorm that drenched the area and had a strange effect of gradually turning the colour of the water in the pool to green, but was perfectly ok to swim in. The owner was on hand to answer any queries we had despite being in the USA at the time of our stay, something that we both appreciated greatly. Gordes and the area around was lovely with so many beautiful towns and villages to explore on foot or bike or car, a great area of France to return to again.
Magnifique demeure à l'orée du Château de Duras. Décoration soignée, de bon goût et literie très confortable. Nous avons passé des très agréables moments à la longueur des journées autour de la piscine qui a sa propre cuisine d'été. Apéros sympas sur la terrasse avec splendide vue sur les cyprès au coucher du soleil. Proximité à pied du centre et de tous les commerces. Nous avons adoré et espérons vivement y revenir.
We loved staying here. Domaine du Château is full of character and very comfortable. With the giant wine press in the dining room and the vines across the lane, you certainly know you are in Burgundy. We really liked the mix of antique French furniture and original contemporary art works, so nicely done. The kitchen is beautiful and really well equipped and the market in Beaune is amazing for fantastic local produce. Apart from driving through all the famous vineyards and going wine tasting, we really enjoyed visiting the château at Rochepot and the ancient market at Nolay. The countryside is very pretty and great for walking, but best of all, was just sitting drinking wine on the terrace, enjoying the wonderful view and tranquillity. We booked the Eurostar to Le Creusot which made the journey really easy and quick. You can pick 'up a hire car' at the station and then it's just a short drive down quiet country roads which felt a world away from London. Would definitely recommend!
We adored our stay at this charming renovated farmhouse, with views to keep in our memory forever. This house truly suited our family with our two sons, partners and grandchildren. The kitchen was excellent and overall the house had every facility we would look for, the pool and table tennis rooms were regularly in the daily family tournaments, that took place. Sitting outside at the covered dining table for breakfast and evening meals was a great pleasure daily. The swimming pool has sun for the majority of the day so keeps a good temperature for swimming and the steps enabled our grandson to build his water confidence. The Thursday market in Nyons is excellent and Vaison le romaine is full of history. Les Marquises is one of our favourite holiday experiences, great location and great house.
Absolutely stunning property, wonderful swimming pool. Enchanting surroundings. We have has an absolutely delightful stay and have enjoyed every moment of this relaxing holiday.
We have had a very enjoyable fortnight in your beautiful house and gardens, despite the unfriendly weather. We go home feeling very relaxed. We enjoyed days out in Chinon, Fontevraud and several of the other places mentioned by others. Thank you for your hospitality, the wine, jam and bubbles. Hope you enjoyed Italy.
A more tranquil spot in France you will not find. The house has 360-degree views across stunning French countryside that rolls and undulates towards a backdrop of the Pyrenees. It feels like you're a million miles from the stresses and strains of modern life, another world and yet within 20 minutes drive you can be in a huge supermarket that will cater for all your needs. The house itself is incredibly comfortable, with all mod cons. It sleeps 14 people in great comfort, including in two well-appointed cottages in the grounds. And yet it retains its cosy feel. Some days we lazed by the pool and ate our meals on one of the terraces, other days – when it was cooler - we lit the fire and settled in. It's genuinely as comfy inside as it is outside, which is not always the case in French holiday lets. Our young children were in heaven. When not swimming or playing tennis, they roamed the five acres of immaculately kept grounds, building camps, rowing on the small lake. There's snooker croquet and table tennis too, if it's wet. And then of course there is the party room. Set well away from the grown-up bedrooms, the party room has a bar, DJ–quality speaker system and a proper disco – glitter ball, lights and all. Incredible fun. You really won't want to leave the château and grounds at all – it's a self-contained little hill-top world - but if you do have itchy feet then there are lots of walks nearby, or you can visit one of the many beautiful French towns nearby (Mirepoix market is a must). I cannot wait to return.
Stunning renovation, not a person or light in front of us, fresh linen, ample space to relax and a place where we all could unwind with the family, we will be back again. 100%.
We absolutely loved our time here. The owner was a joy to work with. The home was absolutely charming. It was located on a picturesque hill, featured spacious, comfortable rooms and every luxury one would need while there. The home was spotless upon our arrival and the neighbors on the street were extremely helpful, pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed swimming in the crisp, cool pool; hearing the church bells ring and exploring the neighboring villages as we attending the daily farmer's markets. We cannot wait to come back and are considering an extended stay as we fell in love with the area and this home. I would highly recommend it if you would like to truly experience the people and feel of the region.
It was everything we dreamed it would be and more. We loved the pool and the house had all we needed for a great holiday.
We would like to very highly recommend this grand idillic property in the tranquil rural setting of the Lot Valley. The quietness and peacefulness of the house and grounds is the perfect place to completely unwind, to read, draw, play boules, table tennis or relax with the family by the poolside area. The market town of Villeréal was particularly vibrant and trips into the Dordogne to Beynac for example is only an hour away. There is an abundance of local wines and vineyards to visit with exquisite cheeses and bread from the local markets. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday. We have returned totally refreshed and relaxed!
WOW! What a holiday! The Loft is absolutely beautiful and we’ve all had the most wonderful time. In fact, the Loft, pool and gardens are so incredible we’ve spent most days swimming, reading and lounging by the pool! Playing boules has been fun and meeting you both, and Mack and Mabel too. We’d love to come back and revisit the Loft - it’s been fantastic! A big ‘Thank You’!
Heureusement que nous avons trouvé cette propriété à la dernière minute ! Quelle trouvaille… Nous étions les premiers locataires de cette charmante maison – merci pour cette semaine merveilleuse. On se croirait dans un hôtel-boutique chic, mais on a tout l'endroit pour soi ! Tout est fabuleux, la décoration, le jardin et la piscine. Nous avons eu du mal à nous éloigner de la piscine et les petits ont adoré l'aire de jeux. Et nous sommes maintenant des joueurs de boules professionnels… et des buveurs de pastis. Merci à Mark et Gary d'avoir rendu notre semaine si spéciale.
I liked everything; the location chosen for professional reasons quickly became a second home thanks to the owners, who were very friendly and available, always attentive to our needs and extremely professional. The house is splendid, every detail is carefully arranged.

Ce n'était pas notre première visite à La Barde et encore une fois nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances en famille. La maison possède beaucoup de caractère tout en étant à la fois spacieuse et confortable. La cuisine est bien équipée et les coins salons à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur peuvent accueillir confortablement 10 personnes. Le jardin est magnifique et regorge de plantes et d'arbustes variés et colorés tandis que la piscine est grande et nettoyée régulièrement par le propriétaire. Encore une fois, nous avons profité de belles journées à Saint-Émilion, Brantôme et Cognac pour n'en citer que quelques-unes - et bien sûr d'agréables boissons en soirée à Verteillac. Merci - nous gardons de précieux souvenirs de ces vacances fantastiques !
Nous avons passé un séjour formidable en famille dans ce magnifique château. Niché entre de charmants petits villages, un véritable havre de paix. C'est un endroit où tout est beau et bien entretenu. La piscine est un véritable bijou, un endroit idéal pour se détendre et s'imprégner du paysage magnifique. Nous avons adoré l'ambiance décontractée, tout en conservant un confort et un charme irréprochables.
